A busy, family friendly restaurant. We went for lunch and enjoyed the view and the ambience. The food was very nice. Staff were lovely.

Yes we booked a table for two for lunch yesterday We visit this excellent restaurant fairly often On arrival we were greeted by a pleasant member of staff who took usimmediately to our table and asked us what would we like to drink Drinks arrived quickly Our order for food was takenWithin 6 or 7 minutes our starters arrived - I had the starter portion of a delightful fish soup with a side order of pizza My wife for mains had the superb fish and I enjoyed a super pasta dish My observations The restaurant was busy but a calm atmosphere pervaded Staff extremely pleasant Food arrived promptly It was hot ( temperature ) wise and very tasty Finishing touches included High quality napkins A table very clean and COVID disinfected Marvellous views across Cardigan bay I give them 10/10A great lunch at an extremely good price Don’t miss it C

Dined here on a wet Tuesday and Thursday in early October. Both nights the restaurant was full and the food and service great both times. Love the new poke bowl and bar buns.

Visited at the weekend while on a little holiday and so chuffed we did. The building is stunning & the decor right up our street!Staff were lovely and attentive and the service was great, even though it was busy the whole time we were in. The last 18 months have been absolutely rubbish and the hospitality industry has been hit really hard, so it's lovely to read the response below from the restaurant that they're ensuring staff wellbeing is prioritised.The food was unreal, honestly the best meal I've had in ages. Partner is a meat eater and I'm a vegan, so it can be a pain finding places at times. The vegan options here were ace! We ended up having 3 courses because we're greedy and love food. Everything came quickly, beautifully presented and was so tasty. I could eat those sweet potato tacos every day for the rest of my life and die happy.Pre booking is essential. We couldn't get in for the evening so had a late lunch instead. Can't wait to come back when we're in the area again. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon and great meal, it really helped brighten our day, on what was a very wet and windy Saturday!

Went on a nice sunny September evening. Staff were pleasant but understaffed. Ordered the famous seafood chowder but it was bland and tasted like fish cooked in cream. The deep fried whitebait was good as were the fresh oysters. I would stick with the fried food. Bit pricey for what it is

I liked my pizza and there was lots to choose from on the menu. I would probably go again. Booking online was quick and easy.

We visited Dylan’s while staying in Criccieth last week. The restaurant is situated on the seafront with lovely views of the sea and surrounding coastline, the gorgeous building is very light and airy and from the rounded design and lots of glass seems to be from the 1930s. We visited a couple of times during our stay and had an excellent experience both times. I have to eat a strict gluten free diet due to Coeliac disease, in conversation with the head waiter I was reassured that he had a good understanding of gluten cross contamination and felt I that I could eat there safely. He explained what items from the menu were gluten free, or what could be adapted, so there were a few options including things like mussels, lamb, curry and steak. The only item unavailable at the time were the gluten free pizza bases, which I wasn’t planning to have anyway. Both times I chose from the specials board the half a local lobster with salad and chips (fried in a separate fryer, so safe to eat) and also had the sweet potato filled blue corn tacos and an Eton mess type dessert, all of which were delicious! My husband had the mussels, unfortunately there was a slight issue with the these when brought out, but the staff were very apologetic and so helpful in getting this resolved it didn’t spoil the meal.I would definitely recommend eating at Dylan’s, Criccieth if you’re nearby.

Ate here a couple of times while staying in Criccieth. Enjoyed great seafood, with a lovely view of the bay. Friendly and helpful staff, too.

We had a wonderful lunch in this lovely restaurant. Staff were very helpful and friendly. One of my friends has an allergy to garlic and the staff could not have been kinder. Having ordered a garlic free main course the chef was alert enough to realise that her chosen starter also contained garlic. He very kindly cooked her a garlic-free version! Wonderful cocktails too. We had such a nice meal that we went again the following night for dinner

Lovely location slap bang on the beach front !!The welcome was fabulous and friendly, love the retro decor and I have to say that the food was absolutely delicious!! Dylan’s Criccieth has made my birthday weekend and I am so so happy we booked for all 21 of us !!Look forward to our next visit James Cooke

No tables outside, was told the van was open !?It serves crisps !! We always sit outside with the dog but they wouldn’t serve us or 4 other couples ! Glad they can turn customers away in the current climate Very disappointed. Every table was empty outside ! Unbelievable

On our only night in Criccieth we booked dinner at Dylan’s enjoying the relaxed atmosphere in this restaurant which makes the most of its Art Deco exterior. Thoroughly enjoyed the Welsh g n t with mains of The Menai pizza and chicken Katsu. Friendly service from Giverny

Managed to get a cancellation table. Well worth it, great views, fabulous food and friendly, attentive staff. A friend recommended we visited her and in very pleased she did.

The three of us enjoyed an excellent lunch, and if we all lived nearer I'm certain we would be working our way through the menu as we were pleasantly impressed by the choice... and would like to try what each other ordered for a start! We only booked on-line the previous evening and got instant email confirmation.We will return on our next visit to the area!

Fantastic location overlooking the sea, in a Art Deco style superb building.The food was excellent and well portioned served by friendly and attentive staff. The dog friendly seating outside gave great views and of course you can’t beat al fresco dining.

Great location and beautiful building, food was average and service terrible. From the moment we arrived we were not acknowledged by any staff for some time whilst waiting at the door, even though they were walking past, they didn’t even smile or say hello. We nearly left at that point and I wish I had. The starters were ok. I asked for another drink which 15 minutes later hadn’t arrived. I eventually got the attention of the waitress who had clearly forgotten to order the drink, there was no apology for the delay. Our mains then arrived. My partners lamb was fatty and dry. My pasta was just ok. I could see my drink sat on the bar for ages whilst I tried to get someone’s attention. When I finally did, the drink was wrong and had to be changed. No one checked on our food at any time. Such a shame as it’s a lovely building and location. But the food and service will mean we won’t return to this restaurant.

We managed to get a last minute booking for lunch time Saturday, 11th September 2021. Warmly greeted at the door. Had a lovely table facing the castle. The restaurant quickly filled up. We noticed that most of the customers were Welsh speaking locals like ourselves which is a good sign. I was impressed that all the staff spoke Welsh to us too. We had a variety of food and everyone enjoyed it. Very friendly and attentive staff. They worked hard the whole time we were there. Service was excellent and I can't fault it.

Managed to book weeks in advance of coming to the area for a short break. The restaurant is beautiful outside & in, it oozes charm and character, and what a location!Food was of excellent quality when we dined here, we could not fault it, other than perhaps one of sharing starters (Black Star Trio) was expensive we thought at £9.95. Herb crusted hake was perfectly cooked and I could of licked the plate clean, so too were the mussels (although disappointingly they were British because its spawning season on the Menai).It was let down by patchy service, it was sloppy at times - fresh knives & forks brought to the table after our starters just dumped in a pile in front of me and desserts took way to long to come out (the restaurant was winding down by then & virtually empty), when I inquired politely I got a sharp response about the kitchen having to deal with a flood of dessert orders?! The ice cream scoops were the smallest we've ever seen on our desserts so we left a little deflated.We would come back only if the service matched up to the prices they are charging.

My family and I have just visited during a short holiday ,not our first and certainly won't be our last .The service and food was outstanding, given the struggles over the past 2 years almost I was very pleased to see that this restaurant had managed to see its way through, credit to all the staff on keeping your great standards. I had Scallops to start and steak for my main,both dishes were amazing ..sadly I could not fit in a desert ,maybe next time !

We were visiting North Wales and booked a lunch visit to Dylan’s. The service was good and it was a lovely afternoon. The seafood was very nice with an affordable price. I ordered scallops for started and mussels as main. The mussels are local so they were very fresh! The chowders was very creamy and delicious too. Our dessert were sticky toffee pudding.

Coffee only available from mobile unit outside main building.In my view it was expensive at £5:90 for 2 take away coffees and so so weak!Not enjoyable at all

I have to say I’ve visited DYLANS in Criccieth every time I come on holiday in wales , which is every year , and ever time I visit I can honestly say THE STAFF are AMAZING and friendly and knowledgeable, THE SERVICE is always good and THE FOOD we have always loved the food here and NEVER once have we ever had to send anything back ! Most things are locally sourced and fresh ! absolutely lovely!

Really good tacos from the take away van outside. For gluten free the menu is a bit confusing but if you persevere they do have good GF options.

This was pretty much the only restaurant open in Criccieth in the evening over the August Bank Holiday. Others were closed due to COVID. Fortunately we had booked months ago. Food was generally nice but service was poor. Some staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing and we had to keep reminding them to bring things we had asked for. One of my grandsons ordered a children’s chicken goujons which came in a massive box but only had 2 pieces of chicken - ridiculous. It’s in a beautiful location on the beach front and could be fabulous.

So disappointed with my meal last night, especially as it was our wedding anniversary. The arancini was lovely as usual, the sea bass taco which I have ordered before was ok but there was almost no fish in them mainly lettuce which another guest warned me about, it was a shame as last time I ordered this starter there was plenty of fish in it.I ordered the duck salad as a main course, I was aware it was a starter and so didn’t expect a large meal but when the title is salad and there was literally one leaf of pak Choi, a few beansprouts and 4 slices of cold duck I was extremely dissatisfied.There was a tiny amount of watery dressing at the bottom, it was all absolutely awful. The chef really needs to review serving cold duck as a meal. What was almost worse was the lack of interest from the staff, they weren’t interested in my comments, I would have expected that they would listen to feedback but walked away when I was explaining why it was so poor.Overall not the usual nice experience we have had previously. It all felt like the meals were served to make the most profit with minimal quality in terms of the main ingredients.

Dylan's Food Truck Criccieth Amazing fish gougons and chips had here from the food truck, Bryn the chef was amazing and was superbly organised and polite, even though he was the only one in the truck, in my work I know how really good conscientious staff are hard to find in the food service industry, I hope you do everything you can to hold onto such a good worker and representative for Dylan's. He's a credit to your team.

We took my parents to here as we loved it there when we went pre covid and had great food in a lovely atmosphere. We hadn’t booked but were in the area so thought we would chance it for lunch. No tables available but they said you can sit on the sea front tables around the car park and get food and drinks from the 2 vans they now have serving outside food (like burger vans). Little choice on the menu but we purchased fish goujons and fries each which were £6 each. When they came (& I really really wish I’d took a picture) they were practically burnt fish that didn’t taste great, almost rubbery, the smallest amount of fries I think I’ve ever witnessed in a takeaway carton, the takeaway box was tiny a bit like what you’d put a small burger in. My mum eats like a mouse and even she was still very hungry after them and really didn’t enjoy them!! The cost of putting double the fries in them boxes is pennies to them but they clearly want to make money rather than satisfy their customers!! The fish was poor at best and clearly just cooked very high very quick. The hot drinks boiler outside was broken so the girl just said ‘the machines broke do we can’t do hot drinks’ but why couldn’t they have walkie talkies to inside for hot drinks - the van is sat outside a huge restaurant?? The tables were all self serve and nobody seemed to be looking after them- which given the COVID risks we thought was appalling and unforgivable. Almost every table was dirty and therefore there were wasps everywhere. Poor all round, we won’t be returning and our friends that were considering going are definitely giving it a miss!! You need to up your game Dylan’s!!

Sat on the front for a drink by the beach. Lovely spot, hard to find a lovely beach side spot in this country. Didn’t eat but the restaurant is lovely inside and would like to return

We returned to Dylan's this year because we enjoyed our last visit. Booked well in advance to ensure a table. Glad to say, we were not disappointed. Staff were attentive and pleasant to speak with. A great menu, the food was fantastic. Lovely cocktails. Thank you Dylan's, it was the last night of our holiday and we enjoyed our meal. Hopefully see you again when we're in the area

We went to Dylan's while staying in Criccieth as a party of 8. Great food including a pleasingly wide range of vegan options. All food was excellent and the beer wasn't bad either!Would recommend although note you may have to book well in advance.

We have visited Dylans quite a few times and the food is always good, plenty of choice for a family with many likes/dislikes. Setting is fabulous, even watching a storm roll in across the sea. The service was quite slow in comparison to other visits, maybe staff shortages ? We had to book several weeks in advance. Will definitely return, hopefully with quicker service.

Love this restaurant which is a must every time we visit the area. The bread tin is a must as a starter but there’s plenty for 3 or 4 of you in one tin. The staff didn’t seem as happy/friendly on our last visit but this may be due to shortage in staff numbers. That said I will be back . Booking beforehand is required (even a week or so in advance).

We visited Dylan’s for the first time last night and were both highly impressed with the service and food. Being seafood lovers the menu had loads of items to entice us. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and I recommend the clam chowder which was every bit as good as one I had on Pier 39 in San Francisco. Praise indeed!We will definitely return to further explore the menu soon.

I took my grandson as a special treat The service was good, his dinner was very nice and he enjoyed the dining experience However my chicken was totally dry and nearly inedible To be honest I would have been better heating Aldi chicken pieces! I didn’t complain as I normally would because I didn’t want to spoil the outing but it will be a long time before I return ( if ever) Don’t order chicken in a basket!!

Just to warn you book well in advance the restaurant gets very booked up.The front of house greeting was so abrupt and unwelcoming that I said the food would have to be very good to make up for it.Luckily it was.But they need to work on their initial greeting.We went late afternoon and perhaps in the evening it’s a different vibe but the ambiance was very much a cafe/ canteen.The waitress however was lovely and the food was delicious not somewhere where you would linger though might try it again later in the year when it is quieter.Nice to see the old building being used though.

Even with COVID regulations Dylan's had no issues delivering. The food is always tasty, wholesome and good value. The menu is perhaps a little diffuse these days, but in 2021 I suppose you have to cast a wide net to avoid disappointment.One of my favourite spots in North Wales in terms of where the restaurant is situated. One negative being you have to park on public car parks, £5 for an hour stings a little bit! This is no fault of Dylan's in all fairness but can put an edge on the experience right off the bat.Would recommend 100%.

We had Dinner with two close friends very happy to say it was first rate great food and service would recommend booking don’t think you can just roll up on spec we are going back in early September

We booked into the restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. The setting is lovely. On arrival we were shown to our table and drinks order was was taken promptly by a very attentive waitress. The menu was very comprehensive with some daily specials. We ordered the food which arrived quite quickly and all 4 of us commented how good our food was. The staff were attentive throughout the visit. Well worth a visit but you need to book in advance as we were unable to make another visit in the week that we were in the area despite making a number of calls to check if there were any cancellations.

The food, wine & service was just as good as on our previous visit. Will definitely come back again.

Yet again another lovely meal at Dylans - it’s been a couple of years since our last visit but just as good if not better. Had the hake and it was absolutely gorgeous, cooked perfectly. Can’t wait for our next visit soon.

As a kid, (I’m 61 now) I remember this place being a tired beach cafe, grotty but still there every year.After seeing a relation review it, we dropped by to book a dog friendly table for two the following night. What a superb place it is now! Very friendly staff (being a Leeds fan it’s always going to happen and waitress Leah is a Derby fan…) , superb service and the food was excellent. Made us feel really welcome, hound included, and where else in the world can you have a meal with two historic castles in view?I had the seafood chowder, my wife had the spicy chicken in a basket - both really good food, shd decent prices - not silly at all. It’s great to see the old place being used properly and seemingly very popular again. Thank you so much - We will be back!

After having a few dud meals during our stay in north wales, I am so glad I booked this gem! Firstly Criccieth is beautiful and Dylan’s is the perfect location here which amazing views. It did help that the weather was spot on. We sat inside and the waiter was lovely and brought my daughter a lot of colouring pencils and sheet so that kept her happy. The food was unreal, veg tacos and scallops. So nice to have a decent tasty meal. After having tea we then sat outside and had a beer. Felt like a proper holiday!!! Will deffo go back!!! Xxx

Can’t rate this highly enough. From the moment we arrived everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was tasty and all beautifully presented. Particularly so the children’s food. Home made fish fingers served in a wooden box and the ice cream with the addition of a seaside themed chocolate not just thrown together but really thought out. Even though fully booked staff took the time to interact with us and really made the evening one to remember from our holiday. Will definitely be back.

We visited Dylan’s on late Monday afternoon with our two children. So, so pleased we did! The tables have been sensibly arranged so that we felt very safe and comfortable. The service was great and the food was absolutely delicious! The menu is so good. Fantastic for meat eaters, vegetarians and children. We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

Limited menu as problems in the kitchen and we were only notified 20 minutes before our booking. Seabass tacos arrived in a wrap and not a taco which consisted of mainly salad and little fish. Cobwebs on the window where we were sitting. Mains arrived at separate times. No parking facilities however 5 cars parked in the disabled bay with no disabled badges visible in the cars. Over priced and will not be returning or recommending.

A lovely setting and staff were extremely friendly and helpful but portion sizes have reduced, we were all really hungry still after the meal. We have been coming for a few years now.

We were recommended by friends to try Dylan’s during our stay but we left the restaurant quite disappointed. The food was mediocre to say the least, very bland. The children’s pizza was under cooked and extremely soggy, the burger bun was stale and the chicken wings were cold. The staff were bringing out plates of food and either bringing them to the wrong tables or wondering around looking confused. We would not return. The only thing this place has that is worth mentioning is the lovely views but that’s all it has.

If you want to have a meal out in Criccieth with a lovely view of the sea, you need to go to Dylan's. The staff are very friendly, the food is delicious – and the cocktails are good, too!

We were advised to book in advance and very glad we did. A very impressive building, overlooking the sea. The menu choice is excellent, I chose smoked mackerel pate and seafood chowder, my husband chose mussels and then the steak, ‘best he ever had!’We were so impressed that we booked for our evening meal a few days later and felt lucky to get a table. We both ordered the fish pie, it was very tasty and very filling, no room for pud!

Visited Dylan's while on holiday with my family in Criccieth and we really enjoyed it. The service from our waitress was excellent and the food was lovely. My son declared his pizza as the best he's ever had! The cost was comparible to similiar restaurants we've visited and, considering the quality of the food, we thought it was good value for money. They have also put a lot of effort into making sure everything is as Covid-safe as possible. We will definitely visit again next time we're in the area.

We booked our table 4 days in advance. As we were driving to the restaurant we received a voicemail message left 35 minutes before our scheduled arrival time, advising us that our table was being cancelled due to circumstances beyond their control. We had to continue to the restaurant to meet our friends and were surprised, to say the least, to see other guests going into the restaurant for their meals!

Ate lunch for 8 outdoors and food and service were both good. Recommend the fish sandwich as traditional fish and chips is not available!

Overall it was a good experience staff were pleasant, lots of options available, I felt safe, but I found it to be expensive for the quality.We had scallops to start which weren’t the cheapest at £12.50 each so we were disappointed when 3 scallops arrived on a big plate with small cubes of chorizo and sliced apple, wouldn’t recommend this to anyone in terms of value of money. My partner had hake and loved it, I had seafood linguine which I’d previously had in Dylan’s Menai Bridge and was slightly disappointed lots of pasta and not a lot of fish! With drinks the meal came to over £80It is a beautiful setting and staff a pleasant but they seem to have over stretched themselves on the menu and i was disappointed this time

This restaurant was truly beautiful. The views of the beach and castle are breathtaking. Food was also 5 star and the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend.

We visited on a Tuesday evening and had a great time. It is best to book well in advance as the restaurant gets very busy. The historic building that the restaurant is located in is absolutely gorgeous, very light and bright, and there are fabulous views of the sea. There is a lovely outside terrace too. The service is excellent. We were slightly disappointed with the food - we had dough balls to share as a starter and found these to be very large and a bit dry despite the garlic butter. My partner had the calzone and also found this to be a bit dry with very thick dough. I was surprised there were no traditional pasta options on the menu. We loved the pudding - chocolate brownie and ice cream.Overall, we would visit again and would like to try the Menai and Llandudno restaurants too, but would make some different menu choices.

We always come here whenever we go come to criccieth, and it never disappoints. Great food and great service!

Visited Dylans for an early dinner one Wednesday in June. Lovely setting overlooking the bay and spacious restuarant with appropriate covid restrictions and lovely staff. The meals were delicious (including the childrens menu!). We will definitely recommend to friends visiting the area and will be back when next in the area!

We pre-booked but arrived an hour earlier due to a change in schedule. The staff managed to squeeze us in despite being very busy. We shared the hot seafood platter which was beautiful - the crab arancini really stood out. We followed up with the sea bass tacos which were another hit. Really good value for fresh tasty food with good service on top.

We booked here for lunch , booking is a must due to covid limits on numbers or you will be disappointed. They had to turn a few customers away, but they do have a fantastic decking area with a mobile Dylan's van , were you can purchase drinks and food and you can order takeaways too.This restaurant is very popular and with the standard of food and location you can see why.Very good covid precautions to make you feel safe too. Excellent service and very welcoming staff, nothing was too much trouble .We had drinks, beef taco's & amazing pizza , so much choice , excellent menu, and then we shared the churro's for dessert.Perfect lunch on a lovely sunny day in Criccieth.Highly recommend Dylans

We were really impressed by the menu here, great range of fantastic food with lots of seafood. 2 of our party shared the hot seafood platter which was really tasty with lots of variety. Staff were very kind especially with one of our party who couldn't decide what to eat. Obviously really popular and we were glad we had booked. Definitely want to eat there again.

After finding we had been booked in mistakenly (on my part) for lunch, the waitress was incredibly surly and instead of putting us at our ease, made us feel the she was dong us a huge favour in letting us eat there, giving us a time limit. Crab had not been delivered and one friend found difficulty in finding a choice to suit her, ending up with pate and bread as a frugal main. We have used Dylans Menai Bridge on countless occasions, to be greeted warmly and nothing being too much trouble. Will definitely not be going to Criccieth branch again. I'm a local and feel it a poor reflection on Welsh hospitality to holidaymakers.

Had a lovely meal sharing platter was excellent staff were great especially carys who from start to finish was so attentive thank you so much will definitely be back.

Went for Dinner late on a wet evening in June. Place has a distinctive style about it which created a fine ambience. All covid protocals were kept to , without any overhandedness.Food was excellent we had a Moules Mariniere as a shared starter, asked for extra bread and it was brought quickly. Followed by the Seabass Terrayki (lovely crisp skin) and a Seafood Chowder, which was light and the seafood delightful. Finished with a shared desert of Bakewell Tart and ice cream. along with a G&T and a beer before the meal and bottle of the house white. All in all around 90 notes including the jockey.Really nice place, good service, good food and an excellent atmosphere. If you are in the area go you will enjoy it.

Once again we were able to enjoy lunch in one of our favourite local restaurants. The food was excellent and the staff friendly, efficient and attentive to Covid precautions. Our special diet needs were adequately handled, as usual.

.The sea and surounding mountain view was lovely and that was where lovely started and stopped. The front of house staff looked unkempt. Had they been my staff I would have asked them to change their clothes and freshen up. I ordered hake with leeks in a ceamy sauce with roast potatoes. The hake was about 5 inches by 4 inches in size, no leeks and the roast potatoes were three tiny weeney new potatoes and that was it for the princely sum of £18.00. The cutlery was plonked on the aluminium topped table !no placemats) on a plate ainunceremoniously. I will never in any Dylan's restaurant ever again.

Dylan’s restaurant in Cricceth never fails to delight us all. An extensive and well presented menu as well as a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The location itself is a joy to visit.Unfortunately we felt that the meals this time were not of the quality previously received. This does seem to be a familiar storey across the area

Highly recommend. Extremely helpful friendly but not OTT staff. Great menu with plenty of choice in a beautiful building with fantastic sea views.

We visited here last year and had a fantastic meal even during the interlude between 2020 lockdowns, but it seems to have taken a toll on the business. This time around we could see portion sizes had been reduced and it was quite obvious - we watched people receiving meals and they all looked smaller than last year including, most notably, the pizzas. We ordered a lamb hotpot, which suffered from the same reduced portion size, and a large seafood chowder which hadn't and was very nice.The whitebait to start were soggy rather than crispy so that wasn't ideal. The accompanying bread was very dry and no butter provided.Cocktails were good.Wait time was moderate but not excessive and staff were as attentive and friendly as always - working very hard.Other customers were ignoring COVID rules especially on face masks indoors so that was poor. This review reflects the lack of staff enforcement of the rules. We appreciate it's tough, but it needs to be done or what's the point? If re-opening is contingent on being "COVID Secure"/Good To Go, then it's important the business backs that up with action.All in all, taking into account everything, ok but just ok. Hopefully Dylan's will get back in to the swing of it and return to its former glory. We hope so as we love the place in normal times.

Food quality was good - the issue was the portions were tiny and very expensive as a consequence. The burger lacked the usual trimmings and the starters were minimalistic. Left feeling hungry and ripped off. Lovely location and nice staff.

The restaurant itself was fully booked so we visited the 2 mobile catering vans just in front of the restaurant. Great hospitality, drinks, and good food.

You know things are looking up when you are sat eating seafood at Dylans in the sun. Great food and service as usual. Felt very covid safe. Not too busy and super clean. So good, we are back tomorrow!

Late lunch with our daughters' family and 2 grandsons. Very safe with unused tables between those in use. Excellent service and quick food delivery. Oysters on the special starter menu for the first time in weeks were delightful. Our friend's fish pie was great but the shared hot seafood platter was outstanding. Delightful setting on the promenade behind the beach. For those who hadn't booked tables on the front were available along with food from two Dylan's takeaway vans parked at the entrance. A shame we live 250 miles away..

Children played on the beach. Adults took it in turns to sit outside up from beach and play with the children.Outside booths used for drinks and snacks.Form provided when items bought to complete for track and trace so we could access toilets inside. Staff polite, friendly and helpful.Great customer service. X

Dylans is located in a, scenic spot, with beautiful outside areas. We were greeted by a lovely waitress who explained the new procedures in place. All our food orders were delicious, can highly recommend seafood chowder.Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing, you could tell she was smiling even wearing a, mask! A great evening had by all

Gorgeous food, friendly staff and my dog was welcome which is important to me! Gorgeous views in the evening, linguine and croquettes get a special mention. Highly recommended

Disappointed. Waited a long time to come back! Had halloumi burger and fish finger burger both should’ve been served on challah buns but weren’t.. halloumi was very greasy. Very average for quite expensive food. Serving staff excellent though!

Average and such a shame as we had been looking forward to this. Setting lovely. Staff very nice. 2 separate bubbles one of 4 the other of 4 and a child. I will only comment on the bubble of 4. Starters were dough balls that were dry and less than half eaten. Mussels were tasteless. Mackerel Pate was fine. Mains were steak that tasted fine, but would say had been frozen and fries good. Two of us had seafood linguine, but was spaghetti and was ‘cloggy’ in texture, lacked sauce and was average. Halloumi burger was fine. Good cocktails. Wine average. No deserts. Expensive due to lack of quality. A disappointment.

Crab & lobster roll & chips with a view of the sea sounds good. The chips were good but the roll was not fresh & the lobster over-cooked. The view was good though.

We managed to book a table for lunchtime on a very wet and windy day. Food was delicious and service very friendly. It was our first meal inside since the end of lockdown. We had sampled the delicious tacos and other dishes from the mobile unit earlier in the week. We love Dylans! their range of home cooked items are available in Spar in Pwllheli and are also wonderful, especially the sticky toffee pudding,

Everything about our visit was excellent...lovely warm welcome, extensive menu, superbly presented and delicious food, brilliant service. We both had seafood dishes and they were beautifully put together and absolutely delicious. There was plenty of room for our dogs on the outdoor terrace and the waiter kept topping up their water bowl without us having to ask. The view was stunning and we were blessed with gorgeous weather. I can't speak highly enough of this restaurant and their lovely staff

Booked on line done weeks ago in anticipation of relaxing of the Covid rules. Family of 10 and a dog so had to be seated on 2 tables. Bit of communication mix up so they hadn’t expected the dog and can’t sit inside with dogs. The tables for dog owners outside was booked. So they bent over backwards to accommodate us and the manager actually moved his car so we could park right next to the window and keep an eye on the dog in the car. (Don’t fret, it wasn’t a hot day). Food was lovely, service was prompt and restaurant clean and really friendly. Highly recommend a visit.

Hey forget Portugal come to Criccieth ☀️ Dylan’s what a great place. Amazing long building with lots of seating areas outside and inside. Great choices on the menu for all. Great service and happy, helpful staff. Nothing was too much to ask for. All the food coming out looked very artistic and we can confirm it all tasted delicious. 10/10 review. Worth every penny as they say. Card payments only. Well worth the trip out here. The views are amazing and such Chrystal clear seas around this coastline. Can’t wait to return to sit and eat inside

Service was weirdly inattentive considering there were atleast 3 FOH working 2 tables including ours, had to ask for 5he dessert menu and also no chance to flag anyone down had to go in to get the bill 0.oAlso while most the dishes we ordered were reasonably priced the chicken in a basket was extortionate 14 odd quid for 6 small pieces of chicken and some out the bag fried chips like come on xD

In spite of pouring rain we arrived just prior to our confirmed booking time of 14:00, a young lady took our booking details then went to check, returned to confirm our booking and to say that they had a table undercover available. In the mean time a lady appeared and advised her partner that the earliest they could have a table was 17:00.The lady then approached the waitress which resulted in us loosing our table as the waitress said they had been waiting longer. Visited when the only option was to eat outdoors.We decided to keep our reservation despite the gale force wind, and we were glad we did. When will I ever get the chance again to eat out in my Gortex walking coat, wrapped in a blanket with a hot water bottle resting on my lap. The weather added to our experience and one night out I won’t forget in a hurry, made better by lovely waitress Bethan.The food was great I had the sea bass tacos to start, then the hake, followed by bread and butter pudding. All delicious. Can’t wait to return and eat in doors.

My husband reviewed our poor dining experience at this restaurant to be told in response that the lamb hotpot served was as it should have been and I had been asked if I wanted chicken in my dish and had declined because it was extra. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!! and I object to you lying in your answer. I requested chicken in my dish but when it came it did not have chicken in. It is very unfair of you to blame the customer for your mistake. We have been supporting Dylans for years and have eaten in all your restaurants. The portion you served my husband IS NOT THE SAME SIZE as the one we receive in Llandudno, I have eaten it many times. It is disgraceful that you take a ‘tone’ when criticised, shame on you! We will not be coming to Criccieth Dylans again.

We had a meal outside 4-5-21 and the food was fantastic. The two staff serving us were so friendly and absolutely brilliant The sun shone in the end I would definitely recommend this venue and experience
