Food was beautiful tonight, 16 of us and all meals were spot on! Also all meals came together, staff were fab! Gemma sang happy birthday out of tone though hahaha great night. Thank you

Been here a few times now ,and I've got to say fabulous service all round the lady behind the bar is so welcoming and friendly nothing is to much trouble, we had sizzling steak and salmon all meals are well worth the money would definitely recommend will return 😋

Great to see the place open at 10am on a Sunday for breakfast!! Great value for a large meal and very tasty!! Bonus points for selling coke not Pepsi max!!!

what a lovely visit for our lunch Sue the manager was was very welcoming and friendly we met Joe the chef and what a chef the sea bass was out of this world best we have ever tasted and the crown of burgers was perfection we will for certain be returning highly recommend this restaurant

The resteraunt was very dirty, flies everywhere around our table. We only went there as they took Tesco vouchers. We will definatley not be going back there.

Visited this place for a evening meal we was greeted with a warm welcome the staff was very friendly we ordered are food which came out quickly I had the chilli dipping burger which was very nice and reasonably priced my wife ordered the vegan fish and chips when she cut into the fish I looked at it and tried the fish before my wife did and to my wife's horror and mine it was fish not vegan my wife been a vegetarian for 33 years and if I wasn't there she might of ate it which I think is appalling the staff was very apologetic and changed the dish to vegan fish which my wife enjoyed we had the horse shoe doughnut which was OK I would recommend this place would of thought they would of offered us free drinks or pudding as away of a apology I will be contacting hungry horse to complain

Went for a family Sunday dinner and was not overly impressed. Staff were friendly, however our drinks were lacking cola syrup, which resulted in them tasting of plain sparkling water. There was a really long wait for food to arrive and the cutlery compartment / trays were dirty upon arrival. Portion sizes were small for the Sunday dinners and there were no Yorkshire puddings available, was told more stuffing would be provided…yet the portion size for the stuffing was also small. The roast potatoes were burnt and there was an odd plastic/musty taste to some of the vegetables. I feel that the issue was not so much the staff themselves, but rather the lack of staff members and resources that were available. On a positive note, the food was hot upon arrival and we were able to book last minute, as everywhere else was fully booked. Just a shame that the food quantity was limited and the food quality did not meet our expectations.

We had been to the hospital near by and needed to stop somewhere after a long morning. On both occasions we have been greated with a friendly atmosphere and sue made us feel welcomed as soon as we walked in. The meals were lovely! We waited around 10 minutes for our meals the first time and on the second occasion we waited only 15 minutes!

There's nothing much to say apart from rubbish dry food plus the service and only one person serving why ??? and with 5 to 6 people wanting food all queuing up Trying to get the orders in kayotic. I had the garlic cheese bread for starter that was ok and then chicken newyoker for main but not the best misses had gammon but looked like a steak plus burnt and very dry also misses egg was burnt to. Her sisters steak was over done she did tell someone but nothing was done put it this way we all left food on our plates need I say more. Didn't even want desert. Definitely will not call again. For me I wish I stayed in work as it was waste of money and petrol. You can try it out but we had not a great or pleasant experience there

Popped into the Copper Pot for food before the Take That concert. Even though it was really busy with concert goers, the Food was lovely, team were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Sue was the perfect hostess. Maybe could have had one more person on duty to help with the glasses. Would go back.

Fab food . Always great service . Love the place. Staff are friendly and kind and nothing is too much trouble for them. I had the mix it up salmon and jacket potato and it was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend and will be back .

Like most people , when I go for food I do hope for good service , value for money and to be treated politely . Recently I tried a local place where I received none of the above . So today I thought I'd return to the Copper Pot for breakfast , where I hadn't been for about three months . As soon as I entered the door I was warmly welcomed with a smile and '' Good morning how are you ? '' . As I walked to the bar to order food the manageress popped her head around the corner saying , Hello , special breakfast isn't it ? And you like your butter Soft for your toast don't you ? '' . Now how about for service and remembering a customers likes ? ( Hard cold butter is a bugbear of mine , see my last review ) . Well the food arrived was perfectly cooked and the butter was nice and soft for my toast which was toast . Absolutely great visit real warm welcome, great service and delicious food at a very good price . What was I thinking going about anywhere else ???

Went for a birthday celebration with a large family group. The staff were very welcoming & friendly. The food was excellent and great value for money. Have booked again for a family get together on Christmas Eve

Came here just before Xmas, food was great and staff were so friendly. There was so many things in place to keep us safe from COVID. Will defo be returning when open.

Feel like I haven’t visited one of my favourite places in so long always come as a family and the value for money is always great sue and the team have always been amazing and do all they can to make the experience the best it can be. During restrictions they have followed all guidelines and have maintained safety for their staff and their guests will always come back here.

We visited this morning for the breakfast with santa event. We booked in advance. Staff were very friendly, service was speedy and food was yummy. The whole experience was great, kids had a great time seeing santa who made a great effort to talk to everyone!

We've never been here but always wanted to. The food was cracking, with large portions and was decently priced. Also, the service was lovely. Couldn't really fault anything. I would recommend!

One of the best bar/ restaurants in Swansea, we've been coming here for over 12 months and always had a wonderful meal at a very reasonable cost. Sue and her staff are very professional,friendly and helpful. highly recommended.

Usually pop in on a Wednesday or Thursday for the curry or free starter day but decided to mix it up this week! Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better value for money they have selected big plates for £6 on a Tuesday! I’ll be in all the time now! Cheaper than cooking at home

The diversity of the menu is amazing. It’s like they’re competing with Harvester, Wetherspoons, Sizzler, Sunday dinner establishments and many others! The kids loved it as they had children’s TV in our booth. Only criticism (if this is one) is there is too much choice!

Visited this evening always have full monty mixed grill decided to try something from the Christmas menu so I had the "pigs go hunting" I was really impressed it was absolutely beautiful and I will certainly order this again (my new fav) thank you to Jamie Alex and lindsey for a fantastic evening. Excellent warm and friendly welcome by Sam, Manageress Sue introduced herself very friendly ensured the COVID19 regulations were complied with. We were escorted to our table where our Order was taken and drinks. All staff on duty were friendly, smiled and enquired if all was well. The food arrived and was very nice indeed, very enjoyable. We are a family of 7 adults and 2 babies. We booked 3 tables due to covid restrictions and we were sat in close proximity and felt safe. The service was great with staff wearing ppe at all times. Our food was ordered and served all together. It was piping hot and freshly prepared. It was a really nice atmosphere throughout.

Service was great this evening. Colleagues explained menu options and were very helpful. Much better. Great work.

lovely date night meal, used a voucher code I received on email, ordered via the Green King app and had two big plate meals, two drinks and two soft drinks for £20. Service was excellent especially Jaimme though all three waitresses kept checking in on us to make sure everything was ok. only thing stopping a five star review was the chips were a bit undercooked.

Been coming for years and only now writing a review!!!! But I wanted to tonight as since local lockdown I haven’t wanted to go out for food, but tonight we decided we will. The landlady and all her staff went above and beyond to make you feel safe, all measures are in place and run like clock work. I have never had a bad meal and tonight was no exception. Been coming here for a few years but thought it was time to write this review due to our last visit, my husband ordered salmon which we were told after waiting a while that they didn't have, my husband was really disappointed and was almost ready to leave as he really had his mind set on it, but the manageress came over and explained that due to covid and delivery issues that's why they didn't have it, she went above and beyond by promising that if we came on Saturday that the salmon would be available, not only that but our meals would be free. We came on Saturday and true to her word the salmon was available, and we had our free meals and both enjoyed.

Thank you to our local Hungry Horse for a lovely family meal. All Covid safety measures in place. We had a slight issue with one of the dishes but the fantastic staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. Definitely my kids favourite restaurant. Thank you again.

First time we have been out for a meal in over a year. Felt very safe, you wait to be seated, tables well spaced, staff wearing masks, food was lovely. Dont be affraid to go out, make sure you wear a mask to enter and leave the pub, also have different offers on, thoroughly recomend x

I don't usually leave reviews and I'm not generally one for complaining but on this occasion, I have to. Myself my partner and my 2 daughters went to the Dylan Thomas for my daughters 18th birthday meal as our usual restaurant was full, The girl who welcomed us in was amazing very pleasant and due to the COVID restrictions in place, she was very helpful and found us a table quickly. Unfortunately, it all went downhill from there the food was awful. I had the mixed grill which was Pre-cooked meat and it seemed overcooked but it was cold? The peppercorn sauce came in a thimble and this was also cold. The steak was the saving grace it was ok but not great but the rest was really bad. I really understand that the place isn't a fine dining restaurant by any stretch but come on! Biggest waste of £60 in a long time. And to top it off the waitress who came to remove the plates afterwards dropped dirty cutlery over my partner which pretty much sums up the whole experience NOT GOOD!!!

There are good reviews on here. I can only assume, from my experience, that there is one cook or chef that badly needs re training. Too much food is being 'compensated' here. Something is wrong. It's best to go to the Hungry Horse in Dunvant. These really nice people could lose their jobs because the food is not up to standard. The food is usually served up when its badly scorched. It's a great place for a drink.

I'm a 'frequent flyer' at this restaurant and visit several times a week. This is down to the fact that in these very trying times I feel safe for myself and my family . You can tell the staff are well trained with safety protocols and you don't get passed the front door without using the sanitiser and giving your track and trace details . The staff are continually cleaning and your clearly told about the one way system to move around the restaurant. Having said that, the service is in no way compromised and the staff are as welcoming and as attentive as ever . Oh, by the way, the food is great too and really great value.

I ordered takeaway food from the Dylan Thomas for my partner and myself. I was very pleased with how friendly and welcoming the staff were, Jess was particularly friendly and helpful. The food was brilliant, we will be going back.

Visited today with my daughter for after school treat. Amazing staff, so friendly and welcoming. Food served fast and cooked to perfection. A very calming and relaxed atmosphere within the restraunt to enjoy a beautiful meal and staff made excellent effort to assure we had everything we needed. Very happy

My self and my daughter went for lunch here today 14 September 2020 and will definitely go back ,the service was fantastic and the welcome brilliant .I had a 4oz rump steak as I don't have a big appetite and was cook perfect,my daughter also had a steak but she had a 9oz sirloin which was also cooked to perfection . highly recommend

Came to dylan thomas as nowhere local open for breakfast and glad this place was open... friendly staff and place is clean as always and a good surprise that the breakfast was buy 1 get 1 free

Staff have been absolutely brilliant, service has been amazing. Food was absolutely lovely and the charity endeavours are a lovely touch (I won a free order of chicken wings from the MacMillan raffle which were lovely)

Came here on the off chance and what a good experience, staff were lovely so was the food, was gutted they had no fudge cake but had a brownie instead and was delicious. Even won a free starter at the bar part of a Macmillan prize game. Such a great visit

Booked a table t for myself and my elderly mother. She was really looking forward to it as she has been shielding. When we arrived the staff were all lovely and the place was clean. The restaurant was not full and social distancing measures were in place. But that’s where the good points end sadly.We ordered fish and chips and a vegan fish and chips. Pretty popular choices you would think but unfortunately we were still waiting 50 minutes later. I asked the lady behind the bar how much longer it would be and she went to check, came back and said ‘they are just playing it up now’ When the meals finally arrived they were nice but no condiments were offered so I had to go and ask again.I saw two parties on two other tables had the same problem. I then heard the lady who I assumed was the manager telling a staff member that tickets were being forgotten, she then shouted to the girl behind the bar telling her to ‘shout out reminders’At one point the poor chef came out carrying meals and apologizing to the party on the next table. She then headed back to the kitchen complaining that she never stops!Like I say the food is ok, the staff are lovely it if you go here be prepared for a long wait. This is my local, I have been many times and the service has never been timely, sadly this remains unchanged.

Ordered the Fajita cheese burger .. didnt get no cheese burger just all chicken .. also didnt get the salsa, guacamole and tortilla chips that was meant to come with it. After speaking to 3 different staff members i finally received my tortilla chips and dollop of quacamole but was then told they had no salsa! .. i should have been told when making my order! Awful service
