We received a discount to play as we were staying at Glen Glack nearby. The course is 9 holes and great for us novices players.

Really friendly staff popped in on spec and were greeted warmly and provided with lunch. Food was inexpensive, plain but good quality and hot. Views from the golf club bar are amazing. Big thanks to staff.

Visited Ospreys at Loch of the Lowes and then went for a walk. Very happy to find that the clubhouse at the golf course was open for snacks and lunches. Friendly staff, good menu choices and fantastic view from dining area. Had to wait a little while for our food but this was because it was made from scratch - and was no hardship given the setting.

We stayed here; really can’t fault the accommodation situated above the clubhouse of the golf course. The apartment had every little thing you would need for the perfect stay; and Sheila was a tremendous host and very helpful. The setting is stunning especially on a clear cold winters morning; nice little walk into town. Heading down the second tee and thru the woodland in the dark is fun; but this accommodation and the Dunkeld hospitality made it the perfect little break over New

I only had a toastie but was made very welcome and sat out on the verandah. I had hoped to watch the Open golf there but they do not have Sky television.

We played a round of golf and then went to the bar for food and drink. We both had the haddock and chips. What a choice - totally fresh fish, great chips and salad. I would say these were some of the best fish and chips that I have ever had. They should be up for an award! Service was excellent and friendly - there was nothing not to like about the place - go there!

Having stayed in Dunked for a few days we looked for a place to have coffee after visiting "The Loch of Lowes." The golf club was opposite so we made a telephone call and asked if there was seating outside and could we bring dogs. The answer to both was" yes." We were given a very warm welcome and enjoyed Coffee and cakes on the wonderful terrace with amazing views. Sadly we were to early for lunch. So next year it will be our lunch venue on at least one visit.. after a round of golf. We were told the catering was under new management and Lorraine ( in charge) could not of been more attentive. The dining room inside has the same breathtaking views.

The club house has splendid views across the golf course and into the Tay valley. Basic grub but tasty and well cooked and fast service Had the macaroni cheese which was very good. And very well priced. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Googled and chose and were delighted. Made very welcome, course quiet, greens great, interesting holes and £25 for a Saturday. Would be perfect on a sunny day (see picture 😳) Played like a cow but can't blame the club and still won 4 and 2. Nice lunch too. Better than more expensive/busy Pitlochry - will definitely be back - recommend it.

It is rare to find any private golf club that allows casual (non-golfing) visitors to use their dining facility - the fact that we couldn't purchase alcohol was a very small price to pay for such pleasant surroundings, superb views and great "golfers' fare".

You don't go to a gold club for the food, but the scampi and chips was as good as anywhere, splashed down with a decent selection of wine by the glass and beer. But what makes this really special is the view. Seriously one of the best restaurant views around. If you don't mind the Scottish climate eat outside and take in a view of paradise with a wee dram and some damn fine scampi. The golf course was pretty special too!

This is the first time I've written a scathing review. We were staying a weekend at one of Errichel's self catering properties with our children and grandchildren. We were celebrating a 70th birthday and it was also Mothers Day, so the family were treating us to lunch. I have to be careful with what I eat, and was drawn to the avocado and feta dish on the menu. On ordering I had requested a slice of sourdough instead of granary, for digestive reasons, and for a poached egg instead of feta. Perfectly reasonable requests, and smashed avocado with a poached egg is a particular favourite of mine. It's simple food and I was looking forward to a light and pleasant lunch. Now, when someone is described as a chef patron, one images that they take pride in their work and are competent in offering guests an enjoyable and delicious experience. Errichel disproved that completely. The plate that was put in front of me was disgusting. A plate of food should first and foremost be well presented, make you savour the moment and entice you to enjoy it. This plate was none of those things. It was horrible. Had the family not been present it would have gone back to the kitchen, but I wasn't going to upset the young grandchildren. My husband , sitting next to me, quietly commented on it to me. I'd ordered the same dish a few months earlier at a birthday lunch somewhere else. It had looked amazing, and was so appetizing, beautifully presented perfection. But that was The Orange Tree. At Errichel, the chef patron had replaced the one slice of sourdough with two pre-sliced bits of supermarket bread randomly smeared with something red, and had laid thin slices of greeny grey sludgy stuff on them. I think it was avocado, though it wasn't that lovely vibrant green and certainly wasn't smashed , neither was it seasoned. There were two poached eggs, and a heap of sad, wilted rocket on the side. In fairness the poached eggs were fine and tasted good. I made an attempt to eat the tasteless grey avocado but I have never been so offended by a plate of food. It was vile. Why not make a fuss about it at the time? Our grandchildren are 3, 4 and 5 years old, they were having fun together and I wasn't about to spoil that for them or their parents. One positive thing was that their food was served first. However, one of the grown -ups meal failed to arrive with the others, so we had to ask for it. Disappointing. I'm left wondering why chef patron doesn't care about the impact his poor attitude has. Good, simple food, well prepared and presented is a delight for the customer, and should be a source of pride for the one doing it. Why do it otherwise?

Me and my partner were visiting the area from North Yorkshire for the week, we struggled to find some good local pubs which had a menu that popped out and that welcomed our furry friend! After discovering the Pitcairngreen inn, we were pleasantly surprised, upon first glance the pub looks a touch deserted from the exterior; but we put this down to the gloomy day and damp weather. After walking through the door we were greeted by a lovely young man who was more than happy to assist us and get us seated at a table and give us some time to review the food and drink choices. The food, what can I say other than superb! We were both flabbergasted as the quality of the food, we ordered the Nachos to share as a starter; accompanied with cheese and fried chicken, and what a treat, all homemade by the looks of things, the portion size was large but it was devoured nevertheless! To follow for main, we enjoyed a steak and ale pie and a Sirloin steak, cooked medium to rare. And I can comfortably say, it was cooked to perfection and accompanied by the best homemade Parmesan chips for the steak and homemade fries for the pie. To finish we devoured the homemade fudge sundae, topped with homemade ice cream and hand whipped cream! Perfect presentation! I finished off with a dark chocolate cheesecake accompanied again by their very own homemade vanilla ice cream! To top it all off, a very pleasant experience and service received from the staff on a whole. Special compliments to the young gentleman behind the bar whom served us this evening and the chef(s) who prepared such mouthwatering courses. Tim, Becki & Betty!
