Dunelm Mill, Pausa Cafe in West Berkshire

Come to this cafe with friends regularly. Brunch is excellent. This morning had toasted tea cakes. scone and cappucinos. Coffee, as always, lovely and cakes delicious. We particularly want to say the biggest thank you to Jean, she is always so polite, friendly and cheerful, even though she is often run off her feet. She is such a good asset to Dunelm.

Coffee not bad, caramel muffin tasty but an air of mismatched furniture and old flooring Not somewhere you’d want to meet up with friends at. Attempt at redecoration but missed the mark by a mile

Went to the chesterfield store. Lovely quality service. The ladies in the cafe were lovely. Really friendly. Good quality drinks and snacks. Very clean and tidy .

Sainsburys cafe now closed. All hot drinks are £1.00 after 3.00pm and the delicious cakes are half price. Staff always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Coffee was nice but the so-called 'custard slice' was horrible! The texture wasn't right and appeared as though it had been in the chiller too long, with a weird, watery taste. They also seem to be short-staffed, which maybe explains things.....

Went to shop but had lunch in the cafe. Good track and trace with safe social distancing. Food was excellent and staff very friendly giving good service.

I’ve been here a few times .used be not very good as they had one girl doing it all.then taken over by two new male staff and it turned it around..it’s ok for a snack.there is not much of a cake selection coffee ok.

Called in for a quick late morning break - we enjoyed the coffee (very hot) and a bacon & sausage bap along with a cheese & ham croissant. Service was friendly and reasonably efficient and the food was perfectly good. During our visit everything seemed to be running well, and paying by card was no problem (a previous reviewer mentioned it was cash only).

Great little cafe good food and great service. A nice place to go for food and drinks during your shop. 1 very minor down point its cash only.

Absolutely appalling service, poe faced and unwelcoming. Asked for a scone and it was presented to me with butter. I asked for jam instead of butter. “You can’t have instead of” came the poe faced reply, “you have to buy the jam which you can have in addition to the butter.” Whoever heard of a having a scone where you pay extra for jam. No apology. No concession. Just poe faced. Absolutely appalling.

I eat here once a month with my wife and the food is always very nice and the staff very pleasant. For some reason the service is very slow, both in providing warm food and clearing tables. If there is a queue of more than two people we now turn around and go elsewhere.

Always good to stop off here for a coffee & cake, even if not shopping in store ! Staff always helpful & friendly despite obviously being under pressure at busy times. Particular thanks to blonde lady with long ponytail - very kind when I was having a bad day !

Love this shop, also enjoy coffee shop to friendly, staff always well stocked in all departments a good day to chill out and browse

A good flat white and latte also a very nice choc cherry cake. However the woman who served us found it very hard work - quite a lot of huffing and puffing. Took ages to take our fairly straightforward order. Had to repeat it four times. Lots of tables uncleared.

Luke warm coffees, slow service but pleasant staff. Waited ages for bacon and sausage rolls and the sausage not very nice at all. Then had to q to ask for coffee to be heated to reasonable temperatures, typical shop cafe that needs to improve all areas

A very nice breakfast. My wife had an omelette bap and I had a sausage bap. With two cups of nice coffee, only £6.40. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere gave it a good experience.

One of the best bacon bap's I have ever had, very well cooked and presented and a great cup of coffee.

Have to say coffee really good, choice of cakes rubbish , sent pastry back as really dry, fresh fruit bunch of bananas so black looked so uninviting, not a good experience.

Stopped here for coffee and cake. Excellent coffee and the cake was also very good. The staff were very friendly and offered to take my tray to a table as I was walking with a stick. Good value. Recommended.

During shopping in Dunelm we took a break for a coffee in the Pausa cafe and was pleasantly surprised with both the service and the food.The staff were very friendly and the seating and tables were spotlessly clean.Would definitely recommend this cafe.

Had a family lunch here, staff were pleasant very clean prices are a bit expensive but not too bad. They were good with children and were very happy

Last night my daughter decided to reserve this "Louisa 3 drawer chest" from dunelm mill in Harlow, (I'm aware this is the cafe review, can't seem to find Harlow dunelm, and when I do I'll write a review on there!)

Si lo que quieres es descanso de bocadillos de compras en Dunelm, este café es lo justo. Teníamos sándwiches tostados y chocolate caliente, así que nada demasiado difícil para hacer pero era bastante bueno.

I had a Flat white and a chocolate banoffi slice. The Barista was very polite and made a good coffee. He even managed to decorate the coffee. Something I did not expect from Dunelm. Well done. Both the coffee and slice were good. Thank you.

My son and I called into Dunelm today looking for a throw for my sofa, and decided to have our lunch there as both hungry and Im diabetic , also due to go to work so needed something before then, we fancied the jacket potatoes meal deal, which included a hot drink , and a piece of cake, but we asked if we could swap the hot drink for a soft one and pay the extra money, Im not keen on fizzy drinks , only to be told they wouldn't do that but we could have coke or water. hen the jacket came out it was the smallest one Ive ever seen, we both paid extra for to extra toppings at ninety nine pence each topping,, and even that was barely visible. Very disappointed at the quality and lack of food on our plates and the cost as was almost £14 in total, ould not go there again

I decided to pop into the cafe after previously attending a cafe at a dunelm store. Sadly, i was greeted with a banging of cutlery and rather aggressive non smiling server. There were 3 members of staff standing around chatting in such a small space. One member of staff (with a rather large uncovered beard was twiddling it in his hand whilst playing with a lighter. Not something I would expect. Not would I expect the bearded man clicking and clapping as he walks through the cafe. Nice food, nice tea. Shame about the bored staff.

Popped here today with my mum did a bit of shopping then went for coffee and cake really nice, good price and really nice smily staff.

stopped for a bite to eat unexpectedly with the MIL & daughter. Found the food to be of good value - not the best quality with a reheated jacket potato, but more than adequate for our need.Good selection of snacks suitable for little ones and a nice cake to round it off.

Good for lunch time bite or coffee and a snack. Pleasant, cheerful service from two hard working lady servers. Enjoyed the sandwich and soup deal. Sandwich of better quality than soup, but having said that would go for this cheapo deal again if I was passing that way. Reasonable selection of lunchtime and snack food for the size of cafe. Very clean. Toilets very good too. Helpful service in another area of shop and till checkout cheerful too. An enjoyable Friday lunchtime.
