Lovely local pub in Thatcham with great live music nights hosted by Zoe Badman, v talented singer. Big garden area in the back too.

Popped in last week for a beer. Service was fine but the toilet was absolutely vile (trap was piled up and urinals stunk) and everyone at the darts board spoke exclusively about buying or taking drugs - loudly. Left after one and won’t be back

Strongly suggest you avoid unless your local. Went in for pint after work to he told I'm not welcome and to sit in the back room if I want to stay. Wouldnt return. Stay clear at all costs If possible

Nice traditional English pub with good staff & competitive prices

Went for a baby shower. Very pleasant area and great garden. Not so impressed about the ai art but that's a personal grudge.

My go to pub for sports or music. Really friendly atmosphere. Very welcoming. Pool table out the back. Two sided bar. Always two different games on or sports. Depending on the programmes. Live music is a great night. Drinks served are fresh and refresher. Outside garden with outside seating to the rear and with a TV. Must visit.

The owner Garth is one of a kind ✨️ enjoy a pint with large screen TV's. The back garden is great with plenty of space 👌

Nice little pub, staff are very nice and welcoming however the owner has taken the lock off of the men’s toilet and has locked the other toilet so you have to go elsewhere if you need to use the loo. Also he is not the most polite of people.

Great little boozer. Watched the footy here when visiting the area with work. Nice beers, reasonably priced amd a nice lounge to chill whilst watching.

We hired the outdoor igloo pod for a baby shower this afternoon. We were allowed to decorate the inside of the pod with balloons, banners and table confetti. The pod was perfect for 6 of us. We pre ordered 2 savoury platters and 2 sweet platters. The food was lovely and came out right away once we were ready to eat. Sarah our waitress was lovely and regularly came out to check we were ok for drinks. They also decorated the pod with their own balloons, flowers on the table and they kindly brought our friend a box of chocolates. Really lovely atmosphere. I would definitely recommend. Thank you for making our friends baby shower perfect!

Within 3 minutes of sitting down we were persisted by members of staff as to whether we were buying a drink or not. Shortly after saying “not for the minute thank you” we were asked to leave because of this. Staff were hostile and in a way, very rude. We were not allowed to use the pool table and atmosphere was poor.

This is a proper pub with proper beer, tried Mad Goose and Good Old Boy. There's also a good selection keg beer and larger. There was a great atmosphere with really friendly people behind the bar (Lisa and Louis are stars and the staff work so hard) There wasnt a menu but plenty of bar snacks and pickled eggs (otherwise I can't comment on food) They are new managers, in since Oct 2018 and they are doing a fantastic job. Regular music nights, race nights and other local community events. The world needs more like the Kings Head!

Cracking pub, really friendly staff reasonably priced and welcoming regulars. Not from the area so a nice little treasure to stumble on. Stayed till closing as the disco was really good. Will visit again very soon xxx

Says "food served all day" on the outside ... But on Mondays no food? 🤔 Maybe need to change the signage! Looked nice other than that but we were hungry so went elsewhere

We came in here by chance. Wow what a fantastic homely pub. Just like the good old fashioned pub from years gone by, with the public and lounge bar.We went into the lounge bar, lovely seating, clean and crisp decor.Prices very reasonable.No food but traditional bar snacks and pickled eggs.Landlady and landlord lovely friendly people. Not like other local pubs we have tried!

This pub has recently been refurbished and look far better than it did. The new landlord and landlady are both very nice people and the new surroundings and managers have given this place a much needed shot in the arm.There doesn't appear to be any food but the beer is cold and the service (when from the managers) is friendly.The garden is lovely.

Not a bad little place at all. Emphasis on the word little. If there's a sporting event on, it can get very busy very quickly. That being said, there's two different bar areas with different personalities, and a pool and darts room. The beer garden is fine, if a little hemmed in. If you can catch it on a quiet evening, it's a good place to whittle away a couple of hours with some mates and a beer.

Este lugar ha pasado de ser 'debería esforzarse más" para 'downright miserable'. Aunque la nueva gestión han hecho un cambio positivo, trayendo en una mesa de billar, no han hecho los cambios necesarios para que sea un lugar que quieras ir. El lugar es ahora casi vacío, es muy oscura y triste por dentro y hay un ambiente hosco, que deriva de la casera, que tiene una actitud de mal humor.Las bebidas son bastante razonables pero eso es lo único bueno que puedo decir.

It was a rather hot September afternoon so we sat in the garden. No food was available so we just had a few drinks. The garden could do with a tidy up. The inside was typical British local pub. Friendly staff so would go back.

The pub itself had a very good atmosphere , and the food was amazing! The bar staff/ waiters were very welcoming and happy to see you! Also the locals were very nice! Overall the food was very nice and is worth the visit :)

Este es un muy buen pub dirigido por una familia. El propietario y el personal son muy amables, proporcionando un gran servicio. Con una buena variedad de cervezas y licores. La comida es muy buena, con una estupenda manera de elegir exactamente lo que se desea.También se informó a las carnes que vienen de los carniceros locales.El ambiente también es genial, ofreciendo habitaciones separadas dependiendo de si estás fuera para una tranquila uno o algo un poco más alto. Sin duda recomendaría este pub ya que satisface a muchas cosas.

Esta era la segunda vez que visitaba este pub y siento decir que estoy muy decepcionado con el servicio, la atmósfera y lo más importante es que la comida.

Tengo muchos amigos esa tarifa este pub pero después de esta noche estoy principalmente decepcionado! Vinimos para una celebración de cumpleaños y tener una agradable velada. Unas cuantas personas había puesto su dinero en la gramola, y elegido la música que deseaba escuchado, entonces canciones empezaron a omitir. El propietario decidió que aunque clientes que pagan había puesto en canciones que si él no me gustó, no se les ha jugado. Si tienes una instalación que la gente pague para escuchar música, debe al menos honor. Creo que situar 50 p frente a alguien que decía que esto era de reembolsar la canción saltamos era infantil! En especial, ya que no era la primera! No poner en una instalación pública si el público no poder usar libremente. Se necesita para abordar sus habilidades de servicio al cliente y cómo tratar a los clientes como éste no es aceptable.

Visitamos el pueblo y tenía una bebida. No nos quedamos mucho tiempo. Jardín de un pub bastante agradable, no hay aparcamiento disponible. Bar personal muy amable. TV en la pared y un montón de fotografías, parece hacer divertidos días aquí, como participes y happy hours o algo, buen ambiente.

Such a great pub with awesome garden, lots of space for the kiddies. Their burgers are delicious! The new owners have been in for nearly a year and they have done such a great job! Always something exciting going on! Karaoke, darts, BBQs, live music...!!!
