Opened (much) later than advertised hours, service was poor, food was great. Edited for detail: Service was confrontational, just a weird vibe for such a small venue. I was waiting politely to order and watching the TV for no more than a few minutes but the server 'corrected' me to call him if I needed something. If staff are busy, I'll wait. A delivery driver had put their bags on an empty table for pickup. Server came out, said nothing, put the bags on the floor and went behind the door again. Drivers all looked at each other and shrugged. As customers, we were uncomfortable. I'm not going to knock on a door to see if a venue is open when I can see staff taking down chairs from the night before. If they're not ready, they're not ready. We stood around for a few minutes and nobody came out. So we tried again half an hour later or whatever it was.

gem of a pub, feels straight out of a sitcom, sadly the pricing went up quite a lot

Excellent chicken wings - best in Leith. They benefitted from the billed 24 hour brine as the meat was perfectly succulent and housed in a crunchy coating. The pickles were well balanced between sweet and acidic, which complimented the wings well. You can choose from a range of sauces or dry rubs with the chipotle sour cream being selected on this occasion; it brought a pleasing lactic tang and touch of heat. My partner had chicken tenders which were equally delicious. Good range of local craft beers and very friendly service

Genuinely good quality wings, with great variations of rubs and sauce. You get a good portion for one order, with the Wednesday offer making things incredible value.

My favourite spot in Edinburgh! Not better wings going. Dale behind the bar is a legend. Shows all sports of all kinds. Great place just to hang out with some friends . Nothing fancy just good food good times and good drinks. Thanks for showing the Stanley cup playoffs too!

Visited here recently as we heard the grub was good. I thought it was pretty average, good portions though! The service was very good and the drink options are great. Would come back for drinks.

Birthday celebrations plus 6 nations Super Saturday. A cosy place with great beer and great staff. Always a pleasure visiting.

Simple food that hits the spot. Not much of a variety on the menu - just wings and fries. Would be nice to have something a bit less messy available. Fantastic cocktails

Wings are meaty and fresh, with a variety of sauces and rubs to suit various spice tolerances. Loaded chips are very tasty! Cauli wings are also great. If you're not interested in wings or chips this place is just average. Not super wheelchair accessible.

Follow these guys on instagram and thought we’d try it . My first instinct on walking in was . Leave ! I was right . Served a flat tennants lager in a Madri glass ( sure both brands would be over the moon with that ) ordered 2 sets of wings and some sides . Now when I order wings I expect wings … not mostly drumsticks. The sauce is opted for was Jamaican jerk .. was sweet and sugary and pretty sure was a standard Brakes bottle sauce . Awful . The wings themselves were ok ( the 2 that I ate ) . Grubby wee dive bar charging £8:50 for wings . There are much better wing joints in the burgh . Avoid . Awful

From nyc and decided to pop in to catch a match. Glad I did. Had the cauliflower with peanut sauce and chicken tenders was great. Cool spot. Ginger beer for for non-drinkers

Terrible, dark, dingy. No one in it when we visited. Beardy Staff member was miserable and couldn’t have been more unwelcoming. Don’t waste your time with this place when there are so many better places around.

Visited here to take advantage of an Itison voucher. Wings were excellent, burgers were very nice also. Good selection of drinks and attentative staff. Bar itself was quiet when we were in, but there was a steady stream of delivery drivers picking up orders.

Se went at 2 pm to catch the Wimbledon game. The places was not set up but the door was open. The men opening wasn’t very friendly. If you want to visit this bar I don’t recommend going at opening time…

Popped into Dukes for a quick bite after walking around Edinburgh all day and was treated to the best wings that I have ever tasted! My wife and I tried the Korean BBQ and Buffalo style. The wings were expertly dusted in a coating that stayed crispy until the end of the meal. The sauces were fantastic and spicy. They have a great selection of beers to quench your thirst. If you are in Leith drop in and try the wings.

Uber eats delivery. 2 x chicken tenders and some mozzarella sticks with ranch. Food arrived in good time and was hot when it arrived. Mozzarella sticks were overdone and 2 of them looked like they had been incinerated. Ranch sauce was excellent though. Chicken tenders, nowhere on the ubereats app or their website does it say these are spicy however, they are probably close to being one of the spiciest things I've eaten recently and I did not manage to finish them due to this. The 2 sauces supplied were excellent. Bbq, and honey hoisin and garlic. These went excellent with the chicken tenders I ordered elsewhere later on. Overall, the food was disappointing, the sauces made up for it somewhat but not enough to order from here again.

Dukes does a great pub quiz every Thursday with a £40 bar tab prize for 1st place. Their chicken is always cooked just right and their range of craft beers is great. Highly recommend popping in.

Very friendly and fun bar with great beer choice. One of very few places set up to play sport too with US sports regularly playing as well. The owners have managed to make it not feel like a sports bar though and it has a cool vibe. It's cosy so getting a space can be difficult, booking in advance recommended

Dukes is probably my favourite Leith bar to go for a few drinks and a bite. Great chicken wings and fries, with veggie friendly alternatives and a solid selection of beer on draught and in the fridge. Its best feature is the friendly atmosphere here, from both the punters and the crew behind the bar which makes it a great place to be.

Brilliant bar and awesome food. Chicken burgers and wings to die for. Fantastic selection of drinks and very reasonably priced. Staff were fantastic and really look after the customers, great service. We'll definitely visit again when next in Edinburgh.

Only discovered this place recently and it's a good find. These guys do delicious cauliflower wings and we love the 241 deal on wings on Wednesday. They also have a good craft beer selection that changes regularly, and nice cocktails too.

Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing beers. Had the best cauliflower wings in my life. Lovely hard working staff. Music is retro and awesome. Deco is just brillant. What a brillant little pub.

Delicious frickles and large, tasty selection of chicken and sides - mozzarella sticks too! Loads of draught beers. Dive bar but with a welcoming and friendly vibe - also open on a Monday where others in the area aren’t which is useful to know 😊

We had such a great experience that we went to the same place the day after, although our whole time in Edinburgh was a few days This was the only pub in the neighbourhood that had food till late They also had very good drinks and two TVs that the friendly staff changed the channel on one of them to what we wanted to watch

Lovely food, but the place where u sit and eat isn't in good condition, not much room per table. The toilet seat in the females was not even screwed down.

15 min for fries? And 10 min to ask for my order being in the bar? Idk... Not coming back and one star is being generous. EDIT: I forgot to mention that this was a deliveroo order, and me the rider. Meaning the order was made a while ago before I arrived to your local. What really bothers me is not that the food was given 15 minutes later than the expected pick up time, but the stuff lying about the waiting time few different times. If I'm told I need to wait an extra 15 minutes I would just cancel the order. Please mention this to your staff and have more consideration for people who is just trying to do their job.

Better than some of the places around here. Decent for pints with friendly enough staff, but the cocktails sucked though. Didn't try the food but maybe that holds up better. To respond to that: nobody asked me how they were because they took so long to get there. The group I was with drank mostly pints and those were checked on fine, the cocktails came far later. Instead of insulting me and getting all passive aggressive over what was a middling review, maybe don't assume as much?

Went to the Pub this friday after ordering their wings a few times on deliveroo. Its such a great pub with a friendly vibe.Wide selection of beer and some of the best wings you are likely to find in Edinburgh, not to mention the girl behind the bar was really helpful.

A new take on the Dukes head of old. Great Staff, nice chilled out vibe from them. Decent selection of drinks available from craft draughts to fresh mixed cocktails. Tasty snacks available freshly cooked to help soak up some of those drinks.

Dropped in to pick up some wings tonight and I've got to say I was very impressed. Great choice of sauces, chunky crispy fries and some bangin frickles. The chicken was succulent and tender. Fair price. Picked up some beer too of course!

Fun local bar dale working hard to build the bar up to be a popular destination bartender late night hangout. Good prices for the drinks.
