The carpark at the pub is a revenue generator, i am being bullied buy high court enforcement and the DCBL for £100's of pound for parking on the carpark even tho i have proof i was in the pub on the date of the ticket. Pub wash there hands of it, i have been told there nothing i can do other than pay it. targeting there customers how low can you go.

Very lively pub. They had a psychic event on that night. I noticed pizzas and snacks on a sweet trolley. Nice touch 😀

This pub is a quiet nicely decorated food serving pub. Staff are great and friendly. Food is amazingly nice. Placed in an easy to get to walking or driving area. Its basically a choice of a normal upper class pub (duke of york) or the drug den, where the people are grim and off their tits on god knows what (the bullshead). Id definitely recommend the duke of york for a nice drink or meal. Grear service and lovely place. Also big outdoor serving area for summer time. Different visit: new ownership I think. Loverly pub. Nice food. New owner( I think its him) seems a nice lad. Hes got plans for the place. Nice atmosphere, clean friendly environment. Edit: great pub, just the prices for drinks are dearer than Manchester City centre prices. So staying here for a long time is expensive. Shame as staff are great, but drinks are twice the price of anywhere else in heyside.

I've been here so many times. It's great that they're dog friendly. There are plenty of screens to watch sports on if you're into that. No longer does food, but you can get a pizza.

OK place but so expensive. Paid £10 for 2 lagers. Come on this isn't city centre Manchester. Will be reluctant to go again. Shame.

The Duke of York is a bland looking building on a busy main road and it would be easy to ignore it and drive past but that would be a mistake. The inside is modern, very clean and tidy, and very well decorated and comfortable. The beer is very well kept, and the member of staff who was serving was extremely pleasant and very welcoming. Her name was Holly, and she is a credit to herself and the pub. There is a good selection of drinks and a good selection of Crisps and snacks. There is food served,although I didn't have any otherwise my 4 star review may well have been 5. Don't drive past this drab looking building. Go in and enjoy the beer surroundings and the welcome from Holly.

Fantastic friendly pub. I call in every day after work.pizza great. You can control the music via your phone and the manager is brilliant in fact he is unique thank god. Superb pub all round 👌

Good friendly pub great service and good beer

We pop in now and again for a change of scenery and it's always warm and welcoming. Also do stonebaked pizzas upon request served daily. Great for a quiet couple or with family friends

I had my sons christening here and we used the room upstairs. The owners were lovely and very accommodating. Josh looked after us on the day and I can’t thank them enough. I would deffo recommend going here for your occasion and/or just for a friendly drink at the local. Thumbs up from me :-)

Pizza was excellent as well as the service

The Duke of York and the landlords were amazing! They organised my sons family gathering for their 18th perfectly! The atmosphere was electric, the service impeccable and the food was delicious. We would very highly recommend and will be doing to everyone we meet. They managed to make a special day even more amazing than we could have ever expected! We can't thank you enough!

The perfect family environment! The staff are unbelievably kind, they go ABOVE and beyond to make sure everyone’s experience is nothing but amazing! There is plenty of parking! A function room! (I had the best 30th party here!! The team were more than accommodating, literally rearranged the furniture to suit my party! They even offer lots of party extras! Just ask for more information!) They have a beautiful beer garden that’s decked and so many beautiful flowers. The perfect photo opportunities! LOADS of games for children inside the pub, so your little ones are more than entertained. A pool table & darts for the bigger kids! But I’ve saved the best 2 till last, Monday bingo!!!! This is a vibe, it’s my absolute favourite. AND the most scrumptious Sunday dinners!! Get in my belly 😍 This is more than a pub for me, it’s a second home. 🩷

Amazing environment, super friendly staff and management. We held our babies 1st birthday here and couldn't have imagined going anywhere else! The prebook sunday dinners are to die for also! Definitely worth the price and the portions are huge! Its one of the few great pubs left and we need to protect it at all costs.

We are regulars at The Duke! Fab hosts - Connor really looks after us! We’ve just had a 1st Birthday party there and can’t praise all of the staff enough! Highly recommended ❤️❤️

Amazing pub! Amazing food and wonderful staff. Such a hidden gem, the owners are amazing and so attentive and go above and beyond for catering functions. Food is amazing, the variety of spirits and beer is fab and the cleanliness of the place is brilliant. Been a few times and can say I’ve found my new regular pub. It feels more like being in a family than being just a customer. Xx

My family and I turned up to have a pre meal drink. Pub looks great, nice atmosphere. Stood at the bar as the staff ignored me for locals. Only wanted to order 10 drinks....I walked away. Poor attitude to customers.....

Dropped in for a drink and ended up playing the bingo (not normally my thing) Absolutely hilarious, staff were fantastic and locals really welcoming. Nice and clean throughout, big beer garden and good lager.

Put on a great Bingo night and yeah pushes to a 5 Star.

Pub was fine. Got charged £6.50 for a pint of lager and half a cider. Won't be going in there again. Plenty of local pubs at far less cost

Called in to have a drink to meet a mate last night 24th September got charged £3-70 for pint of blackcurrant and lemonade that is a joke same price as my pint of original lager which is 25p dearier than my local Weavers and to top it off we was told to leave the pub at 6-30 because they had a private party on never in my life of drinking in pubs heard of this before it was a 18th birthday party Wont be going in there again

What a great dog friendly pub ,our dog thought he was in the doggy ritz ! The 2 young ladies on duty treated him like a king . Lovely pint of San Miguel and great list of cocktails to try .

Friendly cosy pub with a good choice of beers/ales. Apparently they do food but we never sampled it so can't comment. Don't worry about missing any sport as there are plenty of tellys dotted about.

Recently went back to try the food as it was terrible awful, the worsted we had for a long time. Glad to say it had improved but you do need to expand your menu. It's a bit plain.

Staff very professional and polite, sadly meals a hit and miss at times no chief available. Had to go across the road to the Bulls Head to eat.

Good local for drinks and a chin wag but you can never be certain of a chef or food. Chef taken to halfway house every time they are busy. Stuff Duke people turned away regularly.

The Duke of York pub was lovely food . I really enjoyed it I had a three course Sunday meal 10 out of 10 for the chef . I would definitely go back .The staff was lovely has well .

Popped in here late evening. Just had a drink. Good range of beers. Service was good and polite. Would pop in again. Can’t comment on food as service was over by the time we went in.

Went to a birthday meal pre booked for 12 of us. The meal took ages then when they did came out 2 every five minutes. Earlier I’d asked a waitress how long the meals would be and got a rude reply and guess who got served last.. never again..

I have drank in this pub for many, many years. We have had a few landlords over the past couple of years. The Food has always taken a long time to come out but it has normally been good quality. Unfortunately when I went the other day for lunch with my husband, we found the food inedible! even when sent back and came out again, the food was not good quality at all.

A nice new team in place. The food was pleasantly nice. Minute steak really well cooked nice and pink. Liver and onion nice real buttery potatoes.

I have drunk here off and on since I was 18 I was told the landlord was a decent guy you can imagine how I felt when I found out the landlord Vinny I believe was his name was married but often brought a girlfriend in not to everyones taste yet today I am one of many locals who spends £30 a night was threatened and abused from this awful little man because I aired my thoughts that he turned the telly off when I was watching at 10:20 p m as England was playing Holland He immediately called me names and threatened me I like any one who had drunk there for 40 yearsr eacted and he laughed and called me Infront of staff and customers however one of his staff who was very professional appolagised on behalf of his drunken boss at this point I left

We'd been over at Bulcote Park,although the children had eaten,the wife & myself hadn't. I used to live in Heyside until the age of eight,my mum even cleaned at the Duke of York when she was alive. Quite a few people in,we asked were we ok for food,we chose a table in the corner, drinks ordered & a quick look at the menu,the children had already eaten,they just wanted icecream, we ordered a hunters chicken & I usually go for the fish & chip's with mushy peas. The food came out quickly,well presented,all I can say,clean plates. I hadn't been in here in years,although I do pass most days,nice place to be,wonder how it is on a busy day? Sure we'll be here again.
