Duke of Devonshire in Eastbourne

Really good value. Service quick. Food good for the price, bearing in mind this is a pub , not a restaurant. Menu varied and surely something for everyone. Can't go wrong for a few pints and bite to eat if you find yourself peckish.

I want to give praises to Monica and Ozzie for being the best bar staff any pub can have I have never received a better service those two had to offer I was made to feel so welcome and no matter how many times I was served it was always with a lovely smile I can't wait to visit my home away from home again and to sample the other lovely dishes hats off to the chef for my lovely breakfast and Sunday roast beef on the bone with all the trimmings it was delicious I know where I will be eating my breakfast Sunday lunch and dinnerThe Duke of Devonshire Terminus Rd Eastbourne thanks Monica and Ozzie for your excellent service keep up the good work Monica Ozzie and Kate.

Authentic pub. You can find something to eat on the go if you don't go too late.

Was greeted by a friendly team happy to give recommendations when asked. Will definitely be back.

Great pub , 7 minutes from the station one way and 6 to the pier the other, always a friendly welcome, children and dog friendly, large TV at the rear and smaller ones dotted around, just ask if you want a certain sport on , breakfast until 12 , then the main menu

This has become our favourite pub in the centre of Eastbourne. Really good atmosphere with live sports being shown. Excellent service and great choice of beers.

First impressions!!! Absolutely amazing pub... Descent amount of table and chairs.. vast variety of drinks.. what can I say about the food!!! Omg 💯 amazing. choose from the menu was very well set out and arrived within 10 to 15mins.. staff were very friendly and helpful.. very clean and well presented.. defo would eat here again 💯.. loads of screens showing all kind of sports .. 5* from me

Best atmosphere in town for sports. Nice food and Drink deals for everyone to have a good time. Dog and child friendly is a massive bonus. One of the only places to have Hazy Jane on tap.

Our luck, England played France( 7 nations Rugby. ENGLAND WON..) Fish and salad was nice, the kimchi cheese balls not so much. Service was excellent and friendly. Definitely recommended 👌

I use it fairly often anyfind some of the staff friendly and attentive, but others not so. I could forgive them because I am vocal in demanding my pint being a full pint without being rude or aggressive. However I'm still happy to remain a customer.

Wheelchair accessible entrance. Menu was okay, not that inspiring. Only 2 beers on hand pump, everything else was on tap. Friendly staff, spacious and air conditioned. Average food portions.

The Duke of Devonshire is our go to Pub in Town, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming, it has fantastic offers on food and drink, it’s very clean, the tables are turned around very quickly, the food is banging, lovely place to go, they show ALL sports AND they are dog friendly, get yourself down there

We had a great Christmas work party here, with their festive 3 course menu. We had the whole left side to ourselves, it was well attended to, great value for money, deliciously prepared food and drink! Ozzy especially was brilliant and helpful. The whole team really helped to make our experience thoroughly enjoyable and all went smoothly. Thank u to u Ozzy n everyone at the Duke! Some even stayed longer for more cocktails n drinks and would definitely recommend and go again!

What a great lively pub! We had our Christmas get together in there and the staff were very friendly, attentive and really helped to make our visit special! The food was delicious, buffet fare and VERY plentiful! Big shout out to Mon, Caroline and Kate who were definitely the hosts with the most!

It's such a shame. The food looks great but I have to order things without cheese and sauce etc for health reasons. After the 2nd time they got my order wrong I asked for a refund and went hungry. 2nd time it's happened here. Send it back once...... Received the same mess 2nd time......never send back a 3rd time..... I've worked in kitchens..... I know what, happens! Sat here watching the Mrs eat a pizza while I have nothing! A shame because the front of house staff are very nice and look after you well. Unfortunately let down by their cooks! I would avoid this place if you want a nice meal and have any dietary requirements! The kitchen staff care very little as to what comes out. If you want to go out for a drink then all good! If you want to eat go somewhere else! Like kokoro!

Great pub - sports on TV and music during the day. Good food at a great price. Friendly bar staff.

Large L shaped room, really nicely decorated with good tables and chairs. Mixture of wooden and Carpeted floors. Usual tap beers with a few real ales available. Quite a few TV's dotted around showing football. Staff were friendly and polite. Dog friendly and wheelchair accessable. Beer was very nice. Really relaxing place. I thoughly enjoyed my visit.

The duke of Devonshire is my local & let me tell you it never disappoints. The girls behind the bar (monika,Caroline & kate) are wonderful they always make me feel welcome. Lovely place to stop for a couple of pints or some lunch, toilets are always clean & atmosphere is always on point Sports,dog friendly, banging food they have ot all.

We visited for lunch and the food was not only delicious, but very reasonably priced. We had the fish finger sandwich, which was huge and such good value, a plain burger and chips, which was a good size, scampi and chips, which again was a good portion and 3 small plates, which we delicious (Halloumi Fries, Cheeseburger Spring Rolls and Colcannon Poppers). The staff were so lovely and made us feel really welcome. It was lovely to see a pub so busy as well. Really lovely pub, with a great atmosphere.

We are staying in Eastbourne and have had breakfast in the Duke of Devonshire every day. The breakfast is lovely and the service excellent.

Always a great place for lunch when in Eastbourne. Staff are lovely, too. Very reasonable prices. Food is always hot, tasty, and decent service. Big screens to catch the football, etc. There are plenty of drink choices. I highly recommend popping in there. Ready for Halloween!

Nice big pub with reasonable prices. Good place to watch sports with both rugby and football on when we visited. Lots of seating and good atmosphere. We didnt eat while we were there but the food we saw looked good.

The cheesy garlic pizza bread we had and the snack nachos were spot on and so were the drinks. The staff working were kind and friendly. The atmosphere was relaxing. I definitely will be coming back again soon

Had dinner here today. I have to be honest and say that the staff wasn't really friendly, but the food was even better!! So really extremely good food! Important: this is self-service, which unfortunately wasn't advertised anywhere. Will definitely come here again - the food was simply bomb😍

Very strange occurrence at our once local pub, me and my brother had just came from the beach to use the toilet and get a drink, when we came out of the toilet we were told we weren’t being served anymore drinks (we hadn’t even had any?) and that they did not need to provide us a reason why, I asked around until I found who I assume to be a supervisor and he gave me the reason - we were selling drugs in the toilet ? Two other friends arrived later on who were due to meet us and were greeted with “ you won’t find what you’re after here and you’re no longer welcome here “ I understand that there’s a right to refusal but to straight up accuse people who regularly visit your pub of something that they didn’t do then proceed to bar two people who weren’t even at the pub because they know us doesn’t seem right ?
