Best pub in town, the beer is great and the girls are absolutely fantastic, fantastic weekends of live sport, great selection of snacks whilst watching football

I'm here to watch England, good place to come and watch football. Can't recommend enough. Good selection on drafts aswell, it's the best pub in town.

Thank you so much for a lovely lunch. My wife, kids and I dined with our friends last weekend and the food was first class and was superb,in particular the mix grilled was outstanding. All of the staff were friendly and attentive and really added to the occasion. Thank you all, we will definitely be coming back and recommending you. We say it's the best pub in town.

Although I have frequented this establishment in the past I have found the food at times inedible and upon this occasion myself and a friend were refused service although were both sober and when I enquired why I was told I don't have to give a reason and... although this is within their rights I personally find this unacceptable so we proceeded to the local wetherspoons where we were made to feel welcome by their lovely staff and had a fantastic time...please avoid this establishment

I went here for dinner with my family, food was brilliant and came out quickly and the customer service was amazing as well as a great atmosphere. Will definitely be going back and recommending to friends and family.

Absolutely fine , unfortunately we went to watch tottenham v liverpool and got Absolutely smashed 5-1 😢 fml . Whole place was filled with liverpool fans . Pub was decent we left athalf time 🤣

First impressions!!! Absolutely amazing pub... Descent amount of table and chairs.. vast variety of drinks.. what can I say about the food!!! Omg 💯 amazing. choose from the menu was very well set out and arrived within 10 to 15mins.. staff were very friendly and helpful.. very clean and well presented.. defo would eat here again 💯.. loads of screens showing all kind of sports .. 5* from me. The new menu is absolutely amazing.highly recommend notorious P.I.G burger 💥❤️. Philly steak sandwich is truely amazing cooked to perfection... Have specials during 12pm till 6pm starting from £7.75..

Consistently magnificent. Hazy Jane on draft, little outside bit, er, outside, plenty of screens to watch the sport and decent food. And the people who work there are the paradigm of how people should be in this industry. Dare I say, pound for pound, the best pub in this neck of the woods.

The Duke of Devonshire ,What a fantastic and a great place to eat with family or on your own. The staff are marvelous, nothing is too much trouble,always keeping the tables clean ,football was on and not rowdy.will always visit and the landlady has a fantastic team,making it an enjoyable atmosphere for all.

Just went in for a drink, service was good and prices were good for a centre of town pub

Came in for a spot of breakfast with 2 adults and 2 young kids. We ordered 2 of the mega Irish breakfast as we would share it between the kids. The plate was swimming with oil like gravy. I used 3 napkins to mop the majority up. The eggs were slimy, the tomatoes were grilled on top, but rock solid throughout. The mushrooms well, you could squeeze orange out of them. Toast was burnt. Not sure I need to add anymore. Bar staff were too busy talking to notice anything was up. I asked for the baby changing key, and asked her take the plate away, explained how greasy it was, she apologised and took the plate away, to then continue about her talking with her colleague. It’s just rude, I’m not begging for a refund, it’s just embarrassing. Just definitely won’t be returning.

Went there yesterday just to see but had breakfast and two coffees and it was lovely. There was nobody else in there I don't know why but I am going there again. Good food and good prices and plenty of room 😀 service was good and very polite 😁. well we are back again and everything is just as good. Spent the day there today 😃 😄

Always great food and staff super friendly

Came across this large pub while visiting Eastbourne, have to say wasn’t expecting much but it surpassed all my expectations. Warm, welcoming and friendly service. Breakfast was amazing and the doom bar was top notch too. Have returned since my first visit and it just gets better. The staff all reminded me and treated me as a regular. My family felt the same way. Definitely recommend giving the duke a try when in Eastbourne.

Our second visit to this pub in Eastbourne Town Centre. The staff remembers me from last year and made us feel welcome and was friendly. The food was delicious, the fish and chips was great value and big portion. Would definitely recommend if you visit Eastbourne.

Really good value. Service quick. Food good for the price, bearing in mind this is a pub , not a restaurant. Menu varied and surely something for everyone. Can't go wrong for a few pints and bite to eat if you find yourself peckish.

Came for a quick drink. Located in the centre of Eastbourne. Smart modern pub. Good choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Very sports orientated, shown on the screens. Friendly service. Family friendly.

Excellent quality pub comfortable, staff very friendly and obliging Kate exceptionally nice her service is always with a smile I will be visiting regular when I come to Eastbourne try it also, the Full English breakfast Irish is cook to perfection the best Ful english you can eat anywhere I cant wait to sample the rest of the menu as the chef breakfast is top of the range.

Great pub , 7 minutes from the station one way and 6 to the pier the other, always a friendly welcome, children and dog friendly, large TV at the rear and smaller ones dotted around, just ask if you want a certain sport on , breakfast until 12 , then the main menu

We do tend to come to this pub when we're in town shopping. It's central and convenient, warm and comfortable. A great place to have a little rest at. We're never disappointed when we come here and they offer unbeatable value. The food is really nice and portions are perfect. Good menu offering something for everyone. Well stocked bar and friendly staff. We'll be back again soon.

Our luck, England played France( 7 nations Rugby. ENGLAND WON..) Fish and salad was nice, the kimchi cheese balls not so much. Service was excellent and friendly. Definitely recommended 👌

I use it fairly often anyfind some of the staff friendly and attentive, but others not so. I could forgive them because I am vocal in demanding my pint being a full pint without being rude or aggressive. However I'm still happy to remain a customer.

Wheelchair accessible entrance. Menu was okay, not that inspiring. Only 2 beers on hand pump, everything else was on tap. Friendly staff, spacious and air conditioned. Average food portions.

Fantastic fish and chips. Also my daughter said her chicken burger was excellent.

We had a great Christmas work party here, with their festive 3 course menu. We had the whole left side to ourselves, it was well attended to, great value for money, deliciously prepared food and drink! Ozzy especially was brilliant and helpful. The whole team really helped to make our experience thoroughly enjoyable and all went smoothly. Thank u to u Ozzy n everyone at the Duke! Some even stayed longer for more cocktails n drinks and would definitely recommend and go again!

What a great lively pub! We had our Christmas get together in there and the staff were very friendly, attentive and really helped to make our visit special! The food was delicious, buffet fare and VERY plentiful! Big shout out to Mon, Caroline and Kate who were definitely the hosts with the most!

It's such a shame. The food looks great but I have to order things without cheese and sauce etc for health reasons. After the 2nd time they got my order wrong I asked for a refund and went hungry. 2nd time it's happened here. Send it back once...... Received the same mess 2nd time......never send back a 3rd time..... I've worked in kitchens..... I know what, happens! Sat here watching the Mrs eat a pizza while I have nothing! A shame because the front of house staff are very nice and look after you well. Unfortunately let down by their cooks! I would avoid this place if you want a nice meal and have any dietary requirements! The kitchen staff care very little as to what comes out. If you want to go out for a drink then all good! If you want to eat go somewhere else! Like kokoro!

Large L shaped room, really nicely decorated with good tables and chairs. Mixture of wooden and Carpeted floors. Usual tap beers with a few real ales available. Quite a few TV's dotted around showing football. Staff were friendly and polite. Dog friendly and wheelchair accessable. Beer was very nice. Really relaxing place. I thoughly enjoyed my visit.
