Costa Coffee in Eastbourne

my go to place for a quick snack and a lovely coffee! the staff is attentive and even bright out toasties to the table.. it very welcoming and will be my go to place!

Order delivered wasn’t what I requested

Left food outside food went cold. He didn't even ring the doorbell.

Half the order missing and the driver spilt my drink leaving me with half of a drink. Absolutely disgusting

Firstly, our food was stone cold. Secondly there was no straws and we ordered two iced drinks.

was charged for 2 pain au raisins ...but upon delivery was told they were not available but still been charged fir them

I recently started working in eastbourne and come here ever morning for my coffee fix. Staff are really lovely and the coffee is always delicious.

Best Coffee relaxing place in England I say that as I think when I go there the atmosphere Is relaxed. The good is what what makes Costa a little with there heated toasties - who does not like toasties. Service is outstanding as when you see the staff help the homeless and give them a helping hand it puts a smile on your face. It's a great place also to get some work done which is what I do often.

order was good, delivery driver ignored instructions to ring doorbell (even repeated to them over the phone) and just left it outside the front door in the rain

Half a latte and missing products. Not acceptable

Service was good. Only issue is that the place is full of little flies. Just makes you wonder how hygienic it is.

Just popped in for a festive Black Forest hot chocolate & was informed by a member of staff that it was out of stock, I said ok thanks anyway & on walking out she smirked & sarcastically said “Well Good luck with your search”….could not believe how rude is that was!!. How Shockingly unprofessional. 👎🏼👎🏼

The order was missing one item. I ordered two sandwiches and only one arrived. I paid double for a single.

Toastie wasn’t cut nor hot. Drinks were cold and spilt in the packaging. Overall not very happy at all

Every time we’ve been in here, always had really slow, un-friendly, surly staff serving us. Today Saturday 16th it took SO long for them to serve each customer, it was almost a joke. We were watching them and it was like they were going in slow motion and without cracking their faces once. Everyone was complaining. I always try to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, but this was the worst ever. Then they only warmed up half of our food items to start with and told us to sit down as the rest would be about 5-10 mins. So only half of us had our hot food and couldn’t relax as kept looking out for the other items. Then after what seemed like ages, realised it had just been left on the counter getting cold. We were even sitting within their eye line, they could’ve just told us it was there or even quickly brought it over. The table behind us were saying they’d had the same bad service also.

Great coffee. Efficient, friendly, kind, considerate and thoughtful service.

There were no chocolate twists apparently so I got charged but no food delivered. I ordered this for my friend's birthday so very disappointed and would like a full refund.

I was pulled into a meeting - and when I came out of the meeting, I was greeted with lots of missed calls and text's and a voicemail. He then called me again as I was coming out the front door. I got outside and he shouted at me in the middle of the street with people watching because he had been watching but he did not ring our doorbell, if he did someone would have let him in and he would have not have to have waited. I do not appreciate being shouted at by a delivery driver when he could of just rang the doorbell.

Dirty tables! I had to clear the table by myself, whilst the 2 members of staff were too busy chatting in the deserted cafe. I went to the empty counter to place my order, however one of the staff then decided to clear the remaining tables and the second member of staff had disappeared, leaving me waiting and not a word was said to me. Rude staff so left to give my money in a more customer friendly establishment.

This place has gone downhill. - (central Eastbourne) it used to be busy and welcoming- people meeting up - no more the hygiene is not up to scratch - l don't think 'stuffing' a sandwich while making the coffee / wiping your mouth with the back of your hand and still making the coffee is in the hygiene guidelines ! staff opinionated and loud on serving counter (1) toilets 1 out of order / the other lacking in disposables - soap/ toilet paper. no soft seating only chairs and tables - old fashioned cafe style not the costa that was

Such wonderful staff. My card didn't work. My kids were being kids............ My husband was around the corner... so the lovely lady let me get the kids settled and wait till my husband sent me a gift voucher to pay. Great kind service. Very much appreciated.

Service was good and fast until I got back to my table, took a sip of my Iced Latte that I ordered and it had syrup in it which I didn't ask for. I had to go up to the counter again, told the young woman it had syrup in, I didn't order syrup and can I have another without the syrup. She said she'll make me another without syrup and then carried on to say they always put a standard shot of syrup in a Iced Latte and that I should've said I didn't want it at the till. Really not happy with that response and thought it was quite rude how she said it. My regular drink is Iced Latte and I have it all the time from various Costa's and this is the first time it's ever came with a shot of syrup so No that's not true !!! And frankly she should of said that at the till and asked if I was ok with that.. then I would of said no I want it without. Some people can't have sugar and that would of caused me a problem had I of been one of those people. She needs to learn and be trained how to make a proper Iced Latte !!!! Won't be returning simply because of her rude attitude !!!!

We went in on Saturday morning, just before it started to get busy. Staff are always friendly, food is good and obviously we enjoy the choice of drinks.

The food tasts very good. The employees are very friendly and nice, the service was fast and the prices are inexpensive. A recommondation for everyone.

Once again, our snack was missing from the order. This has gone beyond a joke. If it's not in stock then remove it from the website and please do an immediate refund to my CARD if not available, rather than me having to keep requesting refunds through JE and getting a credit on my account. I want my money back where it came from when the error is not mine, thanks.

Large Latte tasted like the milk had gone off

Definitely some eeediots working here who have 4 GCSEs combined. On good I’ll SHLAP all of you if you ever mess up my order again, you absolute low labour pencil pushers. If you can’t get a order correct, go work as a professional eeediot, you dumbo eeediots

Not only was the order late but was missing the cat biscuit . This seems to be a common occurrence with many of the coffee deliveries. I now have this one on my one more chance list too!

Some staff so rude they always close earlier than they should

Two items completely missing, and duplicate the another. No contact number for the branch on receipt, only generic Just Eat number.

The croissant wasn’t even in the bag

Asked for the croissants to be heated up with some butters but recieved also normally recieve a flyer to receive extra beans on my app on this occasion I did not quite surprised as normally recieve a great service when eating instore

C/a Liam was great at explaining the app to me. He was very happy and polite. Also the other c/a who I didn't get his name but was working with him was very helpful.

The drinks was absolutely disgusting, never tasted anything like it in my like, I had the mint frostino and tasted like they had tipped and whole bottle of extra strong mouth wash in it, it was unbearable and also the cream on top smelt and tasted off, the whole drink was disgusting and the same for the flat white, it tasted off and was cold

No straws for multiple cold drinks (thick drinks which require straws to be able to drink)

My wife ordered a bacon bap and 2 hot drinks as she hadn't eaten due to being busy, when the order arrived she only recieved 2 drinks and no bap so she ended up not eating due to the restaurant not sending out the order correctly.

The wrong pastry was delivered - it was a horrible stale limp croissant rather than a chocolate twist

Great coffee and staff are always friendly and happy to serve you even close to closing time, can be a wait when they are doing delivery drinks but never a huge wait. Best Costa in Eastbourne.

Unfortunately, my order was wrong. I ordered Chocolate Caramel Flapjack Bites but got caramel waffles which we don't like but I've got a refund coming and the coffee was good as always.

Unfortunately my drink, the Oat Energiser, did not taste like usual and was very strong, making it unpleasant even with added sugar (which I do not normally need). Such a shame as we only ordered coffee delivery as a Saturday morning treat and I wished I'd just made my own after all :(

Ordered a mint aero hot chocolate tasted fowel!! Put too much mint in there that my chest was burning had to throw away. I have hardly any money and spent £5 something in that!!! NOT HAPPY

They gave me the wrong thing (2 mini bakewell tarts instead of the regular sized one I asked for) but I think they tired to call me before delivery to let me know.

Very grateful for the labelling of drinks, doesn't always happen and helps us out especially with the vegan!

Costa coffee is always enjoyable for me - especially the latte. And one chap who served us was very polite, but the other fellow was cleaning and shouting out to his colleague - he had strong opinions on many things and put me off returning here.

The toastie was cold and disgusting never again will I order food from Costa.

for one of the only restaurants that sells Smokey bacon all i can say is that its flavourless, i didn't get the usual harboured Smokey flavour at the top of my testbeds, and the aftertaste you get with Smokey wasn't there (def pre cooked straight from a packet and not cooked fresh)

Ordered a large Hot chocolate and a chocolate slice - The hot chocolate was a small and luke warm & never received chocolate slice. Very disappointed.

My chocolate torte was packaged in nothing but a paper bag... so all of the toppings stuck to it. Very stupid decision.

Order was spot on, well packaged and delivered nice and hot. Thank you very much, we will be using again

My Granddaughter and I love Costa Coffee my Granddaughter only 3 years old but when she has a babychino she thinks she a big girl
