Great food and great service! Must be experienced! My husband had the Rack of Ribs smothered in a sweet BBQ sauce, served with curly fries, coleslaw, onion rings and mini corn on the cob and I had the Jacket Potato with baked beans and cheddar cheese served with a salad garnish. We popped in for lunch as we were passing and will definitely be going back for more soon! We recently had their Smaller Main Sunday Lunches -roast beef for me and pork for him (the normal Sunday Lunches look great, but are too big for us). They were fantastic and just the right size for us! Highly recommended!

Nice and friendly pub. Could do with a new lunchtime menu. Had most things now. Not there was anything wrong. Just feel a change would be nice. Sunday lunch is delicious.

My son and friend took me here for mother's day for a meal. We had to pre-book and inform them which meat options we required. It is not just a dinner that's pre-cooked and banged in the microwave to warm up it's freshly made. On arrival we were directed to our table and ordered our drinks and they came immediately. We ordered one beef, one chicken breast and a vegetarian which wes nut wellington. All cost £7.50 each and the portion sizes were just right. The dinner had meat, large roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, peas, cabbage, carrots and Yorkshire pudding with gravy, also I had vegetarian gravy. Plus my son removed some things and added pigs in blankets. The food was lovely and my teenage son even complimented every single item on his plate, which is unheard of. Desert we chose was sticky toffee pudding and custard, once more a success. The service was excellent, tables and toilets very clean. A hidden gem, fabulous.

My cousin's local. Guinness about £3.80 a pint. The food is amazingly good. Two fish & chips and two burger in a basket meals (Mmm.. This IS a tasty burger) for about £37. I wish I had these prices down South.

One of the best fried fish I’ve had in a pub. They batter it themselves. My husband had the Cumberland sausage in a Yorkshire pudding but gave me his red onions. He really enjoyed it. All in a comforting homemade style. Not your generic pub food at all. Good selection of ales, lagers and spirits. The bar staff are lovely

We ate Sunday Roast a couple of weeks ago……..very good, fantastic staff and atmosphere……we’ve only just moved to the area and are chuffed to have this establishment on our doorstep.

Booked for Sunday lunch to be told that there is an hour wait, then told might not be any Sunday dinners as been exceptional busy. Did eventually get food. After an hours wait

10/10 place to chill and vibe, great locals and staff, all in all a great atmosphere, not to mention the food that is always on point!

Really nice pub, god atmosphere and good homemade food that doesn't sting your pockets. We ordered a shepherds pie and a lamb shank with chips instead of mash, it came with mash by mistake but was sorted quite promptly. The food was delightful! Cute beer garden, nice little sun trap, plenty of seating. Definitely coming back and will highly recommend to friends and family.

Lovely place. Warm welcome food is absolutely 💯 spot on I've eaten here and everytime every meal has been spot on..Daytime or evening. Reasonable prices. Can't believe you get this standard in a pub. The chef here is fantastic 👌 great presentation with your food. Most of all its fresh..I will definitely be returning.

Friendly local pub with good staff who go above and beyond whats expected to make you feel welcome. They have a great menu full of pub favourites. The portions are big and the prices are very reasonable indeed. Definitely a good place to go for a pint and a bite to eat.

We've only just moved to the area and tried this place. A proper local - no pretensions, friendly staff, great prices and the football if you want to watch it. Reminds me of how pubs used to be - before everywhere became a dreaded 'gastropub' charging £10 for a glass of mediocre wine and a fiver for a small can of 'craft' ale. There, rant over, give it a go and support this place through difficult times.

The Duke of Cambridge is a really friendly local pub and offers a variety in entertainment. The staff are great, I love the quiz nights, games of sticky fingers and karaoke. It's a bit a great place to meet new people away from the city centre

An average looking pub on Woodborough Road in Mapperley. Why go here when there's the Plainsman and Bread & Bitter just a bit further? I'd have to visit again to get more of a sense what it's individually like.
