My wife and I have been to this authentic Italian restaurant 3times and each time have never faulted food service and atmosphere I went this Saturday 17th August lunch time for my birthday with my wife and still received the same service and quality of food regardless of weather it was lunch time or evening the owner even came up to us and spoke to us as a family member even though he didn’t know us superb can’t wait to go again

Duo amici has been around for many years. This proves it is a great restaurant. Still serving great food.

Out for a birthday dinner for a long standing friend, this is one of her favourite restaurants. For me the food and service are good, but the lack of not alcoholic lager has meant it was low down on my options when choosing to dine out. HOWEVER, they have finally got non alcoholic lager in stock! Described on the menu as 'Becks non alcoholic lager' but when delivered to the table the waiter stated it was Peroni non alcoholic lager, I felt the latter description was true given the taste. Doesn't matter to me which one as they both taste good (although Becks Blue has has a lower sugar content which is better for diabetics). It took well over three years of requesting these, but well done to Due Amici for moving with the times and catering for those who prefer these drinks and for nominated drivers who like the taste and cannot drink & drive. As usual the food was good and plentiful with lots of options to whet the palate. I also applaud the option, for my friend, of wine in half bottles. A few options here would be nice and would match those nearby restaurants also offering 500ml carafes.

I have been several times, we booked a large group of 12 or 14, very disappointed as this was for an 80th birthday, rebooked but found ourselves shoved down by the toilet end opposite the kitchen door, which is the worst seat in the house. I have been to many Italians in London and its overpriced, but some of the family wanted to go for an 80th. They don't handle large tables well, I could detect the impatience and contempt for taking all the orders. Food was not served well at the head of the table - made to wait for parmigiano cheese and black pepper so pasta was cold, whilst the others were served. One waiter, they will know who, was rude throughout his service. I left my desert as it was dry and old, as did another guest, no track from a CD was played for the birthday ( not traditional music ). There was an unmememorable pasta dish, no special treatment for the elderly birthday boy, and no taxis available and staff not aware of leaning over, being rude and and all because someone wAS LATE. Thank goodness I don't have to go there again, and sit by a kitchen on joined up tables when they booked weeks in advance for a better place. Customers of 35 years they have lost, well done.

We went for dinner @ Due Amici on 7/4/24 for my 70th birthday. We had a table for 8 people and I have to say that we had a fantastic time! The food was amazing (everyone agreed) and the staff looked after us brilliantly. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to and I would recommend it to anyone who asked me if I knew a good Italian restaurant to visit!

Spent our wedding day lunch at du amici. It was a lovely atmosphere for a Friday afternoon & they welcomed are family & made the day truly special. Thankyou, the food was lovely too!

Always amazing service from all staff, and the food is delicious every single time. The service sets them apart from any other Italian I have been to.

Food was absolutely lovely however……the service and the whole place was such a rush! I felt like we got pushed out of the door. Bread and olives is automatically put on your table which is fine, You get charged for this but ours was wiped away before finishing and wasn’t asked if we was finished. Plates was being cleared before everyone had finished, bill was chucked on the table as to say ‘leave now’ I wouldn’t go back in a hurry which is a shame to same. I don’t go out to dine to be rushed that’s for sure.

It was okay. It was a busy Friday night. Expensive.

Delightful meal such great attention to detail

Another great meal, we could not fault a thing. It was lovely to see The owner who I have not seen for many years, he checked on us several times to make sure everything was ok. I could not recommend enough,everything was amazing from the moment we walked in. We have been four times this year already and looking forward to going back.

The experience overall is fantastic, a true authentic Italian with Italian staff that make you feel at home. The quality of the food is sublime, very authentic flavours and generous portion sizes but not so much that you're struggling to finish the meal. Quality of the products was very good. The wine selection was outstanding, something for everyone! Can highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara and the tiramisu!

I can’t praise this restaurant enough. The food is brilliant and the service is first class. They NEVER disappoint. Whatever you order you will not be disappointed. The menu is vast and varied. So much choice.

As always delicious quality food, friendly efficient service with family. We all had a great time waiters always funny and ready for a laugh. Our favourite restaurant in Chislehurst. Love it.

A pair of kir Royal is our usual start when visiting this restaurant. I had Kidneys al jerez to start which was a nice change. My friend enjoyed avocado with spinach & bacon. With the meal we ordered a Sancere; a classier tipple than the house white. A Vitello Marina (veal with seafood) with Fresh Asparagus and Zucchini fritti. All great choices. My friend chose a great looking halibut fillet with sliced fried potatoes, all of which were tasty. Dessert for me was vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream, perfectly served and my friend preferred a glass of house white wine (from which the comparison was drawn with the Sancerre). No DOTH this time. No idea how this decision is made. The bill was over £20 greater on this visit so that doesn't drive that decision. Still waiting for them to confirm they still have Montrachet, which is on the online menu but not on the one provided in the restaurant.

Visited Due Amici Chislehurst today 14/3/24 with my wife, daughter and our little grandson. I have to say we had a great time at the restaurant, we ordered from the 2 course menu of which the dishes we chose were absolutely delicious. All of the staff were great, we were made to feel very welcome and the restaurant had a very homely feel. I would definitely recommend visiting Due Amici for an authentic Italian restaurant experience.

Took friends for lunch after telling them what a great restaurant it is. Ordered lobster which was chewy and I sent back. My friend didn’t like to complain and chewed through hers. Shame, our friends won't be going back.

Bellissimo! Authentic, like leaving England and stepping right into the heart of a traditional Italian restaurant ! Spent Valentines night here - Wonderful menu with a lot of variety; I tried the chicken stroganoff and I hand on heart can say it was THE most beautiful dish I've had in an Italian restaurant to date! Bruscetta was perfectly toasted, deliciously drizzled in olive oil and topped with flavoursome onion tomato spring onion and parsley - perfect. Service is 5 Star ! Wonderful people, so friendly and efficient, we really felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed the real Italian dining experience!

They were fabulous accommodating a group of 8 and catering to the specifics of some. Having 2 Portuguese people at the table we were surprised to learn how much of the serving staff were as well. We had a good selection of the significant menu sardines, escargot, scallops etc etc and the a good selection of mains with a few bottles of Amarone. My sardines were over-grilled the risotto was medium and the osso buco not prepared traditionally was just not seasoned the way I am accustomed but was fabulously tender. The atmosphere although comfy was missy some Italian warmth in the decor. Would I got there again? ABSOLUTELY! Would I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY!

I love this place! It's so special! The food is super tasty, service is perfect, the nicest people! The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and prices are affordable. We had the lasagne, meal with chicken and vegetables and also some starters. All of it was superb! We have now visited twice and on both occasions were very happy. :)

Having visited previously, a family member booked Due Amici for a birthday dinner- excellent choice! There really is something for everyone on the extensive menu. We all thoroughly enjoyed our choices, which included lamb, steak, chicken and different pasta dishes. My homemade ravioli with asparagus was delicious! Starters were also excellent and, again, plenty of choice. The house white wine made a perfect accompaniment to our meal. The restaurant is very welcoming: nice touches, such as taking coats on arrival and providing bread and olives on the table. Service was attentive and friendly. I was particularly impressed with how my 2 year old granddaughter was made so welcome: a little cup of milk provided, small pasta portion and a mini dessert. She loved her visit! Due Amici is obviously popular,as shown by its being busy on a week night in January! We would certainly return here- perfect for a special occasion.

Had a wonderful meal, for our son’s birthday, food was excellent, service very attentive and served with care. However… after looking at our bill the day after (as you do) - (should have checked more thoroughly before paying!) - noted my wife only had ‘one glass of Prosecco’ but we seemed to be charged for ‘one bottle’ so that bit not great. Moral of the story, check your bill before paying. Pity, kinda spoiled a great evening.

Was fairly nice food. Moules Marinaire was delicious. The duck a little dry. The atmosphere was a little manic and loud so we found it a bit too much. The staff were very friendly but forgot our first drinks that we ordered, maybe due to it being very busy. The mushroom starter that I ordered was massive and more like a main and was quite unusual. That being said I'd go again to try out some other dishes.

This is by far another jewel in the Kent region. The food and service it’s next to none. Staff are so attentive and the food it’s impeccable thanks to Chef Caruso a renowned chef that’s been around for decades and with tuns of culinary experience. I definitely recommend this traditional authentic Italian restaurant

We went here to celebrate my dad’s birthday and everything was excellent. The staff were all friendly and the food was delicious. I had King Prawns for starter and the veal with spaghetti for my main course. We all enjoyed our experience and would definitely return!

We had a lovey evening at Due Amici with our friends. The staff were authentic and friendly and the service was spot. The food was served in a timely fashion and cooked to perfection, the crab ravioli in a lobster bisque was fantastic. We were advised to try a bottle of Gavi which was not on the wine list and this we all agreed was exceptional for the price. It is not a cheap restaurant but they know how to look after their customers, we will be back.

I decided to try here again after an unpleasant experience many years ago, and wish I hadn't. I was with company so didn't complain so as to make a scene. The food has not improved and is far from fresh. and the staff are for the majority are an extremely unpleasant bunch. Any restaurant with such a large menu can not maintain high quality food with top quality food, but those are the prices you will be paying. The only saving grace is the wine selection, but expect to pay for it. Deserts are best avoided at all costs, and the other diners wouldn't seem out of place in the Only way is Essex. The interior needs a serious make over

Went on a Wednesday night and was sat next to a table of mums with prams/screaming children. I was clearly mistaken in thinking this would be a more formal dining experience than Zizzi. Average food, certainly not worth travelling from Beckenham, if it's your local fair enough.

Best local Italian for sure! Dishes are amazing, especially the scallops and the calves livers! Very hard to find a restaurant that still serves that! Also make sure you don't book too late on the weekend as their best desserts were sold out by 10pm (profiteroles and Tiramisu) Desserts come on a trolley - old school ways. Great staff and good ambiance. Prices are fair, too. Thumbs up will return.

We had Saturday lunch which was excellent. I cannot fault the restaurant in any way. The menu is extensive as is the wine list. The food is imaginative, well presented and of good quality. The service was attentive without being intrusive. They were busy but we did not wait at any stage.

It was my first time here and I took my dad for his birthday! We loved the food and service - the experience was so authentic! I write this review a week later as I had to come back with my brother and cousins!

Went for lunch on Sunday without reservation and sat outside on table for 4. Was very impressed with customer service, felt well looked after. Family ate fish grill, sea plater spaghetti, vegetarian spaghetti ect. Got some for home too. I was also delighted with dessert options. They were presented on trolley to choose from, what a lovely idea. Will be back soon

A pretty good quality Italian restaurant, one of the better ones in Chisle. I'll run through the details: Starters: Zucchini fruit- excellent Goujons of sole: ok-ish not a huge portion poorly presented Mains: Calves liver-excellent Vitelli al lim one- excellent Escalope Milanese - solid Contortions: I- salad very good; potatoes, peas Dessert: cassata ice cream excellent Crème brûlée home made very good Bottle of Italian white (28.00) good cold Two coffees Came to 150 for three Look- it all adds up doesn't it and it felt a tad expensive but service was good, we ate outside on a lovely day and really it was very pleasant.

Lovely food, however it was the quickest meal I ever had. Felt Really rushed. Didn't have have time to breathe between courses. I know they have to make money but seriously they need to let their customers time between courses. Also didn't like that the desserts were left uncovered on trolley

I took my girlfriend here for a special occasion, we ordered a bottle of Gavi di Gavi, the waiter brought the wine but it was a bottle of Gavi, I told him he’d brought the wrong wine at which he held the bottle in front of my face saying with confidence “well this is what we serve as Gavi di Gavi”. I asked him to bring the correct wine he disappeared and a few minutes later his boss came with another bottle proclaiming that this wine would now be an additional £10. I could see my girlfriend was becoming uncomfortable with the situation so I accepted and got on with the evening. I am writing this review because the way it was dealt with felt like this is something this restaurant does regularly, giving you an inferior wine to that on the menu, so I’d say to anyone visiting to double double check the wine menu and compare it to the wine that is brought to the table, challenge it and hopefully this can be stamped out. It’s not a cheap restaurant and there’s absolutely no need for them to mislead their dinners in this way.

Unfortunately our dinner experience last Friday was not as great compared to the first time we've eaten there (On a Thursday). Even though it's a Friday night (it was only half full with quite a few waiters around), we've ordered a bottle of Veuve Cliquot @ £79 but we had to top it up ourselves.. It would've been fine if they were too busy and not enough staff to serve the drinks but we witnessed some tables that ordered white wine had their wine poured throughout the night.. When it came to dessert time, we were very much looking forward to their dessert trolley but no one came and ask is if we wanted dessert after taking away the main dishes 15mins ago - by the time they introduced the dessert we had to leave. The last thing was that the portion size on a Friday seems to be very different to a Thursday... I ordered the Veal Escalope Marinara on both occasions as I really enjoyed it the first time round and also thought the portion was decent. Unfortunately the dish came with 3 smaller than my palm pieces of Veal Escalope and just a handful of mussels (Totally different to December's Thursday visit). My friend really enjoys authentic Italian Food, which they are (the taste is amazing by the way, please don't mistaken this) so weve decided to give them another shot in March. We've booked a Thursday night instead so hopefully the service will be better this time..

Celebrated my Mom's birthday here as a large group of 15. There's an extensive menu (cold|hot apps, chicken, beef, lamb, veal, liver and seafood, pastas). The food is good. The service is attentive. Everyone in our group was served their food at the same time which is impressive. The waiters sang "Happy Birthday" to my Mom which was delightful.

Absolutely terrible ravioli. It was not even cooked properly and it tasted of pumpkin and it was just sitting in melted butter. Go anywhere else and you will get better ravioli!

What a place! As ever exceptional service and great food - something out of a movie scene! Couldn’t fault it and to be honest it’s something out of the 90’s! If you want a great traditional Italian experience with some serious to die for hardcore Italian staff this is the place to be! Forget all the rubbish around - come here! 5stars!

I came to this place several times and I love it. Food its amazing and the service it's even better. They take good care of customers and look after you the whole meal. I will be back!
