The experience overall is fantastic, a true authentic Italian with Italian staff that make you feel at home. The quality of the food is sublime, very authentic flavours and generous portion sizes but not so much that you're struggling to finish the meal. Quality of the products was very good. The wine selection was outstanding, something for everyone! Can highly recommend the spaghetti carbonara and the tiramisu!

I can’t praise this restaurant enough. The food is brilliant and the service is first class. They NEVER disappoint. Whatever you order you will not be disappointed. The menu is vast and varied. So much choice.

As always delicious quality food, friendly efficient service with family. We all had a great time waiters always funny and ready for a laugh. Our favourite restaurant in Chislehurst. Love it.

A pair of kir Royal is our usual start when visiting this restaurant. I had Kidneys al jerez to start which was a nice change. My friend enjoyed avocado with spinach & bacon. With the meal we ordered a Sancere; a classier tipple than the house white. A Vitello Marina (veal with seafood) with Fresh Asparagus and Zucchini fritti. All great choices. My friend chose a great looking halibut fillet with sliced fried potatoes, all of which were tasty. Dessert for me was vanilla, strawberry and chocolate ice cream, perfectly served and my friend preferred a glass of house white wine (from which the comparison was drawn with the Sancerre). No DOTH this time. No idea how this decision is made. The bill was over £20 greater on this visit so that doesn't drive that decision. Still waiting for them to confirm they still have Montrachet, which is on the online menu but not on the one provided in the restaurant.

Visited Due Amici Chislehurst today 14/3/24 with my wife, daughter and our little grandson. I have to say we had a great time at the restaurant, we ordered from the 2 course menu of which the dishes we chose were absolutely delicious. All of the staff were great, we were made to feel very welcome and the restaurant had a very homely feel. I would definitely recommend visiting Due Amici for an authentic Italian restaurant experience.

Took friends for lunch after telling them what a great restaurant it is. Ordered lobster which was chewy and I sent back. My friend didn’t like to complain and chewed through hers. Shame, our friends won't be going back.

Bellissimo! Authentic, like leaving England and stepping right into the heart of a traditional Italian restaurant ! Spent Valentines night here - Wonderful menu with a lot of variety; I tried the chicken stroganoff and I hand on heart can say it was THE most beautiful dish I've had in an Italian restaurant to date! Bruscetta was perfectly toasted, deliciously drizzled in olive oil and topped with flavoursome onion tomato spring onion and parsley - perfect. Service is 5 Star ! Wonderful people, so friendly and efficient, we really felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed the real Italian dining experience!

They were fabulous accommodating a group of 8 and catering to the specifics of some. Having 2 Portuguese people at the table we were surprised to learn how much of the serving staff were as well. We had a good selection of the significant menu sardines, escargot, scallops etc etc and the a good selection of mains with a few bottles of Amarone. My sardines were over-grilled the risotto was medium and the osso buco not prepared traditionally was just not seasoned the way I am accustomed but was fabulously tender. The atmosphere although comfy was missy some Italian warmth in the decor. Would I got there again? ABSOLUTELY! Would I recommend it? ABSOLUTELY!

I love this place! It's so special! The food is super tasty, service is perfect, the nicest people! The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing and prices are affordable. We had the lasagne, meal with chicken and vegetables and also some starters. All of it was superb! We have now visited twice and on both occasions were very happy. :)

Having visited previously, a family member booked Due Amici for a birthday dinner- excellent choice! There really is something for everyone on the extensive menu. We all thoroughly enjoyed our choices, which included lamb, steak, chicken and different pasta dishes. My homemade ravioli with asparagus was delicious! Starters were also excellent and, again, plenty of choice. The house white wine made a perfect accompaniment to our meal. The restaurant is very welcoming: nice touches, such as taking coats on arrival and providing bread and olives on the table. Service was attentive and friendly. I was particularly impressed with how my 2 year old granddaughter was made so welcome: a little cup of milk provided, small pasta portion and a mini dessert. She loved her visit! Due Amici is obviously popular,as shown by its being busy on a week night in January! We would certainly return here- perfect for a special occasion.

Had a wonderful meal, for our son’s birthday, food was excellent, service very attentive and served with care. However… after looking at our bill the day after (as you do) - (should have checked more thoroughly before paying!) - noted my wife only had ‘one glass of Prosecco’ but we seemed to be charged for ‘one bottle’ so that bit not great. Moral of the story, check your bill before paying. Pity, kinda spoiled a great evening.

Was fairly nice food. Moules Marinaire was delicious. The duck a little dry. The atmosphere was a little manic and loud so we found it a bit too much. The staff were very friendly but forgot our first drinks that we ordered, maybe due to it being very busy. The mushroom starter that I ordered was massive and more like a main and was quite unusual. That being said I'd go again to try out some other dishes.

This is by far another jewel in the Kent region. The food and service it’s next to none. Staff are so attentive and the food it’s impeccable thanks to Chef Caruso a renowned chef that’s been around for decades and with tuns of culinary experience. I definitely recommend this traditional authentic Italian restaurant

We went here to celebrate my dad’s birthday and everything was excellent. The staff were all friendly and the food was delicious. I had King Prawns for starter and the veal with spaghetti for my main course. We all enjoyed our experience and would definitely return!

We had a lovey evening at Due Amici with our friends. The staff were authentic and friendly and the service was spot. The food was served in a timely fashion and cooked to perfection, the crab ravioli in a lobster bisque was fantastic. We were advised to try a bottle of Gavi which was not on the wine list and this we all agreed was exceptional for the price. It is not a cheap restaurant but they know how to look after their customers, we will be back.

I decided to try here again after an unpleasant experience many years ago, and wish I hadn't. I was with company so didn't complain so as to make a scene. The food has not improved and is far from fresh. and the staff are for the majority are an extremely unpleasant bunch. Any restaurant with such a large menu can not maintain high quality food with top quality food, but those are the prices you will be paying. The only saving grace is the wine selection, but expect to pay for it. Deserts are best avoided at all costs, and the other diners wouldn't seem out of place in the Only way is Essex. The interior needs a serious make over

Went on a Wednesday night and was sat next to a table of mums with prams/screaming children. I was clearly mistaken in thinking this would be a more formal dining experience than Zizzi. Average food, certainly not worth travelling from Beckenham, if it's your local fair enough.

Best local Italian for sure! Dishes are amazing, especially the scallops and the calves livers! Very hard to find a restaurant that still serves that! Also make sure you don't book too late on the weekend as their best desserts were sold out by 10pm (profiteroles and Tiramisu) Desserts come on a trolley - old school ways. Great staff and good ambiance. Prices are fair, too. Thumbs up will return.

GIORGIO,Go walk the sheep if you can't be bothered to serve clients !you were rude,disrepefctul and annoyed when we asked you to reheat the food that was cooked three days ago and also asked three times for the menu!!

We had Saturday lunch which was excellent. I cannot fault the restaurant in any way. The menu is extensive as is the wine list. The food is imaginative, well presented and of good quality. The service was attentive without being intrusive. They were busy but we did not wait at any stage.

It was my first time here and I took my dad for his birthday! We loved the food and service - the experience was so authentic! I write this review a week later as I had to come back with my brother and cousins!

Went for lunch on Sunday without reservation and sat outside on table for 4. Was very impressed with customer service, felt well looked after. Family ate fish grill, sea plater spaghetti, vegetarian spaghetti ect. Got some for home too. I was also delighted with dessert options. They were presented on trolley to choose from, what a lovely idea. Will be back soon

A pretty good quality Italian restaurant, one of the better ones in Chisle. I'll run through the details: Starters: Zucchini fruit- excellent Goujons of sole: ok-ish not a huge portion poorly presented Mains: Calves liver-excellent Vitelli al lim one- excellent Escalope Milanese - solid Contortions: I- salad very good; potatoes, peas Dessert: cassata ice cream excellent Crème brûlée home made very good Bottle of Italian white (28.00) good cold Two coffees Came to 150 for three Look- it all adds up doesn't it and it felt a tad expensive but service was good, we ate outside on a lovely day and really it was very pleasant.

Lovely food, however it was the quickest meal I ever had. Felt Really rushed. Didn't have have time to breathe between courses. I know they have to make money but seriously they need to let their customers time between courses. Also didn't like that the desserts were left uncovered on trolley

I took my girlfriend here for a special occasion, we ordered a bottle of Gavi di Gavi, the waiter brought the wine but it was a bottle of Gavi, I told him he’d brought the wrong wine at which he held the bottle in front of my face saying with confidence “well this is what we serve as Gavi di Gavi”. I asked him to bring the correct wine he disappeared and a few minutes later his boss came with another bottle proclaiming that this wine would now be an additional £10. I could see my girlfriend was becoming uncomfortable with the situation so I accepted and got on with the evening. I am writing this review because the way it was dealt with felt like this is something this restaurant does regularly, giving you an inferior wine to that on the menu, so I’d say to anyone visiting to double double check the wine menu and compare it to the wine that is brought to the table, challenge it and hopefully this can be stamped out. It’s not a cheap restaurant and there’s absolutely no need for them to mislead their dinners in this way.

Unfortunately our dinner experience last Friday was not as great compared to the first time we've eaten there (On a Thursday). Even though it's a Friday night (it was only half full with quite a few waiters around), we've ordered a bottle of Veuve Cliquot @ £79 but we had to top it up ourselves.. It would've been fine if they were too busy and not enough staff to serve the drinks but we witnessed some tables that ordered white wine had their wine poured throughout the night.. When it came to dessert time, we were very much looking forward to their dessert trolley but no one came and ask is if we wanted dessert after taking away the main dishes 15mins ago - by the time they introduced the dessert we had to leave. The last thing was that the portion size on a Friday seems to be very different to a Thursday... I ordered the Veal Escalope Marinara on both occasions as I really enjoyed it the first time round and also thought the portion was decent. Unfortunately the dish came with 3 smaller than my palm pieces of Veal Escalope and just a handful of mussels (Totally different to December's Thursday visit). My friend really enjoys authentic Italian Food, which they are (the taste is amazing by the way, please don't mistaken this) so weve decided to give them another shot in March. We've booked a Thursday night instead so hopefully the service will be better this time..

Celebrated my Mom's birthday here as a large group of 15. There's an extensive menu (cold|hot apps, chicken, beef, lamb, veal, liver and seafood, pastas). The food is good. The service is attentive. Everyone in our group was served their food at the same time which is impressive. The waiters sang "Happy Birthday" to my Mom which was delightful.

Absolutely terrible ravioli. It was not even cooked properly and it tasted of pumpkin and it was just sitting in melted butter. Go anywhere else and you will get better ravioli!

What a place! As ever exceptional service and great food - something out of a movie scene! Couldn’t fault it and to be honest it’s something out of the 90’s! If you want a great traditional Italian experience with some serious to die for hardcore Italian staff this is the place to be! Forget all the rubbish around - come here! 5stars!

We visit this restaurant regularly with family. Great Cousy set up, white table cloths, Service great, very funny staff who do proper 5star silver service, which make dining experience very pleasant. Great choice on menu, Food is very delicious, especially Dover Sole is the best we ever tried. Desert choice is amazing with unique way to serve. This is truly best restaurant in Chislehurst.

We had a very enjoyable meal, no booking so from the look of how busy the restaurant became, we were lucky to get a table even on a Tuesday. The service and ambiance were first rate.

Probably the best Italian restaurant in the South East

7 of us for lunch celebrating fathers 89th birthday. Waiters and owner attentive and bubbly. No issues there. Door generally excellent but pricey. Just about value for money. Bread on table when we arrived which we assumed was complimentary. When bill came, we were charged £11 for it! Desert trolley is also wheeled in front of you so inclined to buy without knowing prices. After spending £410 for a lunch, we would have thought at least a complimentary drink would be offered but no such luck. All in all, it was very nice but cost and add-ons probably makes any future visits unlikely.

First time here. Excellent service - prompt but not rushed. The food was excellent - home made ravioli was divine - and all presented beautifully. Somewhere to go as a treat.

I can't think of a place where I've had better Italian cooking outside of Italy! We went on a Saturday evening at 18:30 and there was already a wonderful atmosphere and a warm Italian welcome from the staff. We had Bruschetta (what else!?) and an anchovy fillet stater followed by chicken in cream and mustard sauce and lamb cutlets in a red wine sauce. Desert was Tiramisu, Profiteroles and an Amarreto sponge cake (yes we had three puddings between two people - we couldn't pick!). All of it was excellent but the Bruschetta, Chicken, Tiramisu and Amarreto sponge where really exceptional! Fresh ingredients, wonderful rice sauces, and the lightest yet most flavourful sponge ever!! The staff were very attentive without being overbearing and service was prompt even on a busy Saturday night. There's lots on the menu (and if I had a criticism it would be that there's almost too much - it made it really hard to choose!!) so all but the very fussy-est of eaters will be able to find something they like. Obviously it's not the cheapest place around but the value for money based on the quality is really good. If you're looking for a special meal out and/or you like Italian cooking then you MUST come here.

1st thoughts, is this restaurant under new ownership? Have used it before, and been satisfied enough to leave a tip extra to the service charge.1 As we entered a staff member was conversing with a man in shorts, who might have been a cab or delivery driver. We were not acknowledged until he finished his conversation. A girl behind the bar also appeared not to notice us, we found this annoying. Finally he asked my name (no greeting to Due Amici) which he promptly forgot, and asked again. With no welcome he showed us to our table. My starter was adequate, and our main courses were very good, however, the side orders were placed on the table; at a restaurant of this calibre I would expect the waiter to serve them. The dessert trolley appeared, and my wife asked for a dessert, then changed her mind and said , later please. The waiter had started to serve the portion, his response was a surly look. After dessert another waiter asked if we would like coffee , we were still drinking wine, and if we had wanted coffee we would have asked for it. A few minutes later the bill was put on our table, without us asking for it,. We should have been asked if we wanted anything else, and the customer asks for the bill (even at a pub lunch). I must mention that the sommelier (who I recognised) was absolutely charming, and chose an excellent dry white Italian, which totally suited my wife's palate, which does not often happen. Apart from the sommelier, the service was not what I would expect from a good restaurant, it was quite annoying.

Lovley staff and an enjoyable meal

They serve very small portions of veg sides for the money we paid. Also its not the kind of establishment that we expect screeming kids to frequent. It's an expensive restaurant and we paid a lot of money for a night out which was partially spoiled by screening babies. I've got nothing against children at all but babies in such a restaurant is not right. However the service was good and the staff were very pleasant and the food was delicious. There should be nights that babies are not allowed. Sorry but that's my view and that of my friends and we've all had children.

Driven past this restaurant a number of times and always had people sitting outside so we thought we would try When we went in we realised why people sat outside The restaurant was stuck in the 80’s with plastic flowers and printed carpets The food on the whole was ok Would have been nice to have 1 waiter for the entire meal instead of the 4 different waiters we had We thought having an uncovered dessert trolley open to the elements in COVID times was not right especially since it was so close to the tables We tried to pay by card on numerous occasions each time the terminal refused to work The lady asked if we could pay with cash instead and we explained that we only had £55 in cash The bill came to £62 including gratuity so we asked if we could pay just £55 as we needed to leave They said no and made us wait over 20 mins why they went looking for a swipe machine ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS TAKE OFF THE SERVICE CHARGE OF £7 AND WE WOULD HAVE HAD THE RIGHT MONEY WONT BE GOING BACK!!!! No customer service just all about the money
