Drum & Monkey in South Derbyshire

What was thought to be a lovely local and new to the area, we were area they have new owners but was shown true colours after a couple of weeks. 1st time landlanding shouting at people on the carpark. We gave the benefit of the doubt and visited for one hour against the following week as we live accross the road and from nowhere the landlandy appear from nowhere and starting on customers being very disrespectful and aggressive arguemtive who seemed to be very relaxed before they appeared. Quite shocked with the way the owners/landlord/landlady behaviour to ensure honisit. Save to say will not be visiting again.

We held my daughter's gender reveal at The Drum & Monkey and it was absolutely fantastic. Sophia provided an incredible buffet that was presented beautifully and catered for absolutely everyone. Our placement of decorations was not trouble at all and Sophia went above and beyond to ensure we had the most fantastic time. We are so grateful.

A great local to have in the area. Staff are always friendly, great service and a nice atmosphere. We will certainly be back.

Lovely couple recently taken over the management of this pub. Great atmosphere with lots going on - Quiz nights, pool competitions, live music, etc. Will definitely be back.

My sister lives near the Drum & Monkey and we love coming here whenever we visit. I think it was taken over by new owners in recent months and each time since service has been so friendly and efficient. It's dog friendly too which is great. Last time we came we sat on the deck out the back which is so lovely when it's sunny and we had no idea it was so big. Drinks are always good and at really reasonable prices, it's really nice to be able to visit a friendly local pub every time we're in the area. We will definitely be back.

What an awful place even for just a drink can u believe the girl behind the bar changed her childs nappy on the table next to use and went back to the bar to serve drinks without washing her hands😣😣

Absolutely love this place. Staff are brilliant and friendly. Went with friends, family and children. Great for kids as the play area outside was was perfect for them. Food I can not make one complaint about. Would highly recommend to anyone. Well done to all staff for making this a nice local pub that is kids friendly but also great adult environment.

Pub Okish but gents toilet was disgusting. Mould everywhere. Suprised they allowed to stay open. Especially as they serve food.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch food absolutely beautiful the landlord &landlady very warm and welcoming definitely would recommend you try we will definitely be back
