stumbled upon here on a sunny Sunday. good ambience, friendly staff, good food and great coffee. oh, and the best dogs in the whole world.....

I go to Drift every week. I love their coffee and my children love their cakes. The staff are always so nice. I know some people complain about having to wait .. this is what happens when a place is so popular! I am always ready to wait for a bit and the girls are always so kind to me, my sons and my dog. Their brunches are delicious also and have several vegetarian/vegan options. I love Drift!

The cafe offers takeaway food. We opted for two rolls and sausage, ordered a jam donut and an iced fruit danish which cost £15.80. I had to wait 5 minutes for the rolls and sausage so I expected them to be hot but as we tucked into our rolls they were disappointingly lukewarm. We ate the cakes at home but the iced fruit danish pastry was undercooked as the pastry was doughy and hadn’t risen into flaky layers. On a plus side, the jam donut was very tasty according to my husband. Overall assessment, not worth the £15.80 which was expensive given it was a takeaway. First visit to the place and not likely to be back.

We popped in here for the first time as we had heard it was good and is dog friendly. Service wasn't great, as everyone else has said in other reviews, noone came came to take our order and certainly not much communication from staff either when food eventually came to the table. The food was lovely, well presented and good sized portions, at reasonable prices but everything came at different times. Noone came to check everything was OK or to clear the table. Worth popping in but be prepared to wait.

The food is excellent , probably my favourite in Troon, but the last time we were there, yesterday the service was really too slow. Maybe just an off day

Very busy place with friendly staff, tasty cakes (spoilt for choice on that front) and good coffee. Give it a go - you'll like it.

Cafe very busy so decided to sit outside. Eventually after going inside to order as no one came out we ordered. Coffees and a cake came but had ordered food too. After half an hour (coffees and cake finished) went inside to check what was happening. The girl claimed it was just on its way so rather than waiting any longer asked us we could take away. This is not the first time I have visited with the service being slow and only visit here as dogs allowed. Coffee is good but ordering food I find is a hit or miss. Maybe staff should give indication of how long to wait if ordering food?

Excellent service with good food and tempting baking. Dog friendly with photographs of doggie clients on the wall.

Great food great people great place. Stopped in for brunch with the family. They had coconut milk options for coffees which we loved and the food was top quality too. Will be back.

Enjoyed a fantastic breakfast here. We had pancakes with bacon, scrambled eggs and maple syrup washed down with an excellent cup of coffee. First class food in a very vlean environment all served by very pleasant staff. 10 out of 10 from us.

This cafe allows dogs to sit on costumers chairs and to eat off the table , I could not believe my eyes, the staff allowed this , I won't be back.

We have just visited for lunch. The food was lovely and couldn't fault it. So therefore you should expect five stars. The reason for our low mark is there was a dog sitting on one of the chairs at the table with its owner. At one point it had it's front paws on the table and it's owner was feeding it of the plate. We are not adverse to dogs but surely they should be on the floor!!! When paying our bill, I asked the assistant if it was their policy to allow dogs on chairs at the table. Unfortunately I didn't get a valid answer. Your food was lovely but sorry we won't be back

This has been my favourite cafe so far in Troon. The service was excellent. The food was great. No long wait and a nice sunny table too. They are nice to dogs as well. Thoroughly recommend!

Always drove past thinking ‘that place is always busy’ so decided to give it a try. Great coffee, accompanied by toast, poached egg, avocado and tomatoes. Yum! Will be back to try something else soon.

Me and the girlfriend were going along coast in morning as we headed home and stopped in here for brunch, staff were very friendly and happy to alter food with ease to suit us. Music was fantastic also and the atmosphere. Can't recommend it enough.
