Lovely change from all the burgers and fish and chips, Dre's Carribean food is tasty and great value too, would recommend it for sure.

Came across this lovely little gem on a day out with the kids. Couldn't be run by a more welcoming lady Dre. We got the curry goat, and chicken, both juicy and tender. Well worth a visit !!

The curries were to die for particularly the goat curry and don’t forget the patties delicious, sooo authentic & damn tasty.

Delicious! If you’re looking for authentic Caribbean then this is the place! The curry’s are served with a delicious rice and peas with a side of homemade slaw. All served with a sunny smile. Thank you for putting a huge smile on our faces! We’ll be Back!

Amazing food and great friendly service. The goat curry is to die for, we all ordered different dishes and they were all delicious. The food came quickly and the portions were really generous. Highly recommended!

We went in the evening and they had a Reggae DJ on, playing some great chilled tunes that set the mood well. Food was perfect for me. Really enjoyed the jerk chicken, meat patties were also fantastic! Lovely friendly staff and very good value too!!! Will definitely be returning!

Not bad but as Caribbean enthusiasts we’ve had a lot better. The plantain was delicious though! Lovely spot on the pier though!

I visited Dre’s with my folks during a visit to the pier with my daughter. The food was phenomenal (as usual) and I can’t wait to go again soon as Dre’s is open throughout the summer holidays. If you haven’t been before I implore you to do yourself a favour and get down there. I had the vegetarian curry, fried plantain, rice and peas, and coleslaw with some mango chutney and red pepper sauce. Absolute taste sensation, thank you Dre!

Not a style of food that I’ve much experience of but it was fabulous and made a welcome change from standard seaside fare. I had the special, tasty and great value.

So popular and with good reason. A lovely warm welcome and top notch food. Really delicious goat, beef or lamb curry, plus veggie options. Either as a hearty treat on the pier or as a meal to take home. Patties are superb.Get there early or ring and reserve. Don't risk turning up to be disappointed. Either get there at 12 when it's open or Ring ahead to secure your delicious food!

i go to herne bay quite often just to eat this food its gorgeous you get plenty and reasonably priced.

Jamaican take-out in Herne Bay seems unlikely, but Covid has forced Dre's to offer delivery, luckily for us. This was really good, homemade food, wholesome and fantastically tasty. Recommend the curry goat and the Jamaican patties, so, so good.

The last place I thought I’d find good Jamaican food is the end of Herne Bay pier!! The curry goat was honestly sensational. Having eaten Jamaican food all over South London, Dre’s is HANDS DOWN the best I’ve ever had. The meat was so tender it literally just fell off the bone and the fat just melted like butter. Even the coleslaw and rice were amazing, and my sister had the plantain which was divine as well! I really can’t wait to come back and get a bigger portion next time!!

Fabulous curry goat and rice and peas. Seasoned to perfection. Owner is very friendly. This is food cooked with love. The patties are also to die for! We tried the beef and mutton patties. Lovely flavour and a little spicy kick. We will definitely be going back!

its the 3rd week of September, but the sun is still blazing out of a clear blue sky, you wonder if the summer will ever end................we came here on the advise of our son, and werent disappointed, delicious veggie curry, rice n peas, Jamaican patty, fried plantain, sweet potato, coleslaw - if I wasnt a veggie myself I would have had the jerk chicken! Top rankin!

what an amazing place to eat, the place is situated on herne bay pier with lovely views out to sea, the food is second to none and very reasonably priced, we always go there for lunch when we're in herne bay, and have never had a bad meal, the people that run the caribbean kitchen are really friendly and welcoming, i can't recommend it highly enough.

We had a lovely meal at Dre's Caribbean Kitchen. We had the Jerk chicken with rice and peas and chicken curry both with the famous Caribbean coleslaw. Had our dinner at one of Dre's tables while watching the Casablanca Steps, comedy jazz band! Just like being on holiday!

Excellent nutritious freshly cooked meals. We sampled the tasty patties, goat curry, vegetable curry and jerk chicken. All very delicious. We will definitely be eating here again. Very yummy food.

If your in or near Herne Bay, Dre's Caribbean Kitchen is well worth a visit. Fantastic food served by lovely people situated on the pier in Herne Bay.

Have eaten here a few times when in Herne Bay and always a great experience. Lots going on on the pier now and Dre's Kitchen is a brilliant attraction in its own right. Personally the jerk chicken and sweet potato patties are my favourites but have tried her curries too and they hit the spot. Dre is so friendly and welcoming. Wish I lived closer and could visit more often.

I was lucky enough to pass by last Sunday and find Dre's kitchen just closing up, and get a taster of Andrea's golden mutton curry filled Jamaica patties, which were just the best, and universally loved by my small family. A great place to be on the pier in Herne Bay. We want to go back and eat there properly and see Jay and Dre as soon as possible.

Dre's Kitchen is a great find. I have not had Caribbean food before but I am a convert now! Her sweet potato curry is delicious and it's so great to have veggie and vegan options. My husband loves the goat curry and we both enjoy her patties(and sometimes bring one home).

Great friendly service with a smile and fantastic authentic caribbean food which is clearly lovingly prepared. Well worth the walk down the pier. The curry goat is not to be missed!

If you like Caribbean food, check out this little gem, unexpectedly located on Herne Bay Pier. Moving down to East Kent from Stockwell 20 years ago, I still miss good jerk chicken or proper beef patties. But no more, Dre's Kitchen provides everything you could need to accompany a cold red stripe, including goat curry. And Dre provides it with a smile and tables looking out to sea. So there's no better way to enjoy a glorious sundowner at the end of a hot summer's day.

I am a regular at Dre's kitchen and she certainly is the real deal! Serving super authentic caribbean food with a great choice of currys, patties and side dishes. All the staff and proprietor Dre are very friendly indeed and make you feel welcome. Dre is very particular about her food and all the ingredients are locally sourced where possible, she only uses the best cuts of meet and always fresh vegetables. Dre's kitchen is a rare little gem!!

Our whole family ate really well at Dre's Caribbean Kitchen. They were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent - with some lovely spicy patties and very tasty jerk chicken. I highly recommend this place and in a nice setting on the pier - and you can get a local beer next door!

The best Caribbean chicken curry and rice I've ever tasted! The curry and chicken patties were absolutely delicious and exploded with flavour, not too spicy and fresh out of the oven. Surprised to see that there's an option for everyone, including vegan/vegetable curries too! Very reasonable prices and lovely, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

I spotted this delightful place whilst spending the day out in Herne Bay with my two daughters. The staff were very friendly and the food was SO ridiculously delicious! I can’t wait to go back again so I can try it all again!!!
