Really fresh sandwich to take out . Delicious bread and loads of filling . Friendly staff and great value meal deal Also my place of choice for breakfast , can’t fault it

Service quite slow and we nearly got up to walk out. The food was ok when it came though. Although really fancied an omelette but there wasn’t one on the menu.

The best cafe breakfast I've ever had in Hoddesdon - the food was freshly cooked and delicious, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommended!

We go to Dream Café two or three times a week. The food is excellent and freshly cooked by the chef. There is plenty to choose from on the menu . The staff are wonderful, very hard working and nothing is to much for them, they are second to none, A big thankyou to you all at our favourite place the Dream Café. From Brenda and Pete.

Not very friendly staff, got the impression it was an effort to serve us! On numerous occassions got our orders wrong. Quite expensive compared to similar cafes

Situated on the walkway between sainsburys car park and the town centre, this little gem stands out in Hoddesdon. Freshly-cooked food prepared by a proper cook/chef - perfect for lunch with jackets, toasties and perfect poached eggs! Service is friendly and chatty - give it a try!

Small cafe tucked away at side of library, can be a little noisy at times, but their large cappuccino is a delight.

I use this cafe at least once a week and it never fails in its lovely coffee, teas, sandwiches, light bites using fresh tasty ingredients. They use lovely proper uncut bread and their breakfasts are really good. The service is always attentive and prompt too.

Having tried several coffee shops in Hoddesdon, this is by far our favourite. The coffee is delicious and the staff are very friendly and know exactly what we want to order. Haven't tried their food but understand from friends that it is good, have resisted their cakes so far!

We ve been here a few times and this is my favorite cafe to have coffee in this town. Staff are friendly, warm, and make a really good latte. It a quiet, out of the way, and makes for a peaceful and relaxing visit.

I visit Dream cafe regularly and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. I love the food especially the jacket potatoes. Coffee is lovely and you get a decent sized cup too.

Lovely and clean cafe comfortable with friendly staff.In the good weather there are seats outside.Good value for money all sandwiches freshly made while you wait made with fresh locally sourced ingredients.

Only discovered this almost a year after moving to the area as it's hidden away! What a great discovery in a town that has few cafes and not many that do great food. The first thing that struck me was how friendly the staff were and how forthcoming they were in explaining the menu options including asking if would like butter in the sandwich. How nice to order at the counter and then they bring it up to you - very handy when you have a pushchair. Tuna mayo sandwich was lovely and fresh and well presented. Looking forward to visiting again to try other menu options!

Fuimos para el té de la tarde con los amigos (un grupo privado de la caridad), no ha estado aquí antes, pero realmente impresionado con la limpieza, la distribución, el personal y la ubicación. Paseo por el parque y en coche supermercado Sainsbury's y el café un callejón está a la derecha. La comida es buenísima y la gente. Altamente recomendado.

Con Hoddesdon invadidos por cadenas de café, otra está planeada en breve -- cómo agradable experiencia individualidad, sin mencionar cinco café y comida. Todo el personal es amable y te tratan como un ser humano en vez de un número, como en calle cadenas. Entorno agradable, sutiles, suave-tocando música de fondo, es la alegría de visitar.

Its well situated - off the high street on the way down to the supermarket. Proprietor is very friendly. And the drinks and desserts are simple and good.

Este es un pequeño "escondido" café justo a la salida de la High Street. El servicio es bueno y todo está prácticamente a la orden así que es fresco y es exactamente lo que quieres. Sin embargo hay que aceptar esto puede tomar un poco más de tiempo a veces pero en mereciera la pena una visita.

Hidden away down a little side street near the library is this welcoming cafe/coffee shop. Not a huge menu but perfect for lunch with a range of tasty sandwiches,salads and jacket potatoes. The staff are lovely and we will definitely be back to visit. Easy to get to through the back if sainsbury's carpark.

Tucked away in the walkway between Hoddesdon library and Sainsburys is the Dream Cafe. I went with my friend for lunch. There is a limited menu such as toasted sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes, fry ups all freshly made. I opted for a jacket potato with tuna and sweetcorn and my friend had a smoked salmon salad both with mugs of coffee. The portions were generous. I enjoyed my jacket potato but my friend said that her smoked salmon was rather dry. Prices are moderate and the place is always busy with all ages and families.

This has been our regular haunt for coffee, be it early in the morning or at lunchtime, great staff, good food and great coffee.We enjoy the toasted sandwiches which can be tailored to your requirements

I love the coffee they sell and my doorstep bacon sarnie was nice too. The service was friendly. The cafe is clean and although its not massive shop they helped me when I bought my buggy in and were nice to my young son and I was not made to feel like a nuisance.

Stopped off here for coffee and scones and weren't disappointed.The owner is friendly and we were served very quickly with two nice coffees shortly followed by our scones.There didn't seem to be a large range of cakes, but this café is worth a try for a coffee or a quick snack.

Since my last review about dream cafe about four weeks ago there has been a slight change in management and new staff. I felt I needed to update my review about dream cafe as I went in about a week ago and found things were different. The atmosphere and the buzz of the place is not the same as before. It was not very busy as it was before especially as it was lunchtime. A new member of staff did not know the table numbers which caused some delay in the orders. When I received my food I did not receive my knife and fork or my serviette as usual and the overall eating experience was not as enjoyable. I am sure these are teething problems but I feel I can only give them an overall rating of average at this moment in time.

Alex the owner has employed new excellent and friendly staff ! We have just enjoyed a gorgeous panini lunch which was hot, tasty & good value for money........ The coffee is lovely and again good value for £ . Highly recommended and FAR FAR better then Nero's .Try the Ploughman's lunch with bread doorstep. Good Luck for the future.

I go there on quite a regularly basis with my family and friends. They are very friendly and it has a great atmosphere. The food is good, wholesome and filling. If you want a great sandwich and coffee this is the place to come.

If you want a freshly, prepared to order sandwich - its a good place to go. They do a few other things (nice ploughmans - but far from healthy with its lovely gala pie!) - but its mainly sandwiches and the like. Nothing wrong with that.Service has always been ok when I've been there. Struggled when we had a pram as its not very big inside - and can be fairly busy at lunch time - we always sat outside (or didn't go there when the weather was bad).Its not cheap as such - but prices seem fair to me.

My husband and I have been going to this cafe on and off since it opened. The couple who own it are lovely friendly people and even on really busy days make a spare bit of time to say hello. The coffee here is amazing and much better quality than Nero's (also in the town) and half the price plus they keep there cafe clean and tidy and there cups are not dirty!! The sandwiches are nice with a good selection as are there cakes and they give you a very good potion too! Plus my husband considers himself to be a bit of a cake connoisseur and he is always pleased with the quality. We hadn't been going here for long when the owner over heard us discussing our up and coming wedding and told us to come in after the big day and he would do us afternoon tea. You just don't get kindness like that these days. Thank you dreams its always lovely coming to you.

My husband and little girl love going here for sandwiches and coffee at the weekends. They go every week, sometimes twice and find Alex's baking excellent !Lovely food which is good value for money.We wish Dream good luck with their business and many more successful years ahead.

Been going to dream cafe since it opened.Yes it popular and sometimes have to wait for a table but worth the wait.Food is good and decent size portions Great banter wether it is about football as support rival teams.

Believe me this really is the place to go and have absolutely fantastic scones and jam along with a cup of tea. I cannot tell you how much my wife and I enjoyed the scones which were served warmed up - it turns out the owner makes these himself. Really talented baker and not only that what a hospitable and friendly owner. Very comfortable seating and the service second to none and excellent value for money.

We have been going to Dream Cafe since it opened. It is a clean & pleasant place with comfy leather seating & free newspapers. The Cappuccino's are terrific and the food is excellent and is always nicely presented.The owners Natalie & Alex are always welcoming and have a ready smile. We always enjoy some nice banter with them.Highly recommended!

I came in with a few friends that I've been to several cafes with in the past. I have a wheat intolerance and when I went to the counter to ask what they had that didn't contain wheat it was made very clear that I was a total inconvenience. She said she didn't have anything for people 'with problems' in a tone that said why are you even trying to eat out when you have these intolerances. I spotted jacket potato on the menu so went back to ask her if I could have one of those, and I was informed with an air of exasperation that they didn't have any left. She moved on to the next customer so quickly that I didn't even have time to reply. Very rude, and she was the manager!I just ordered a pot of tea in the end and the cup was dirty.We also sat next to the kitchen which was extremely noisy as it seemed plates were being banged about rather than just put in the sink etc. We guessed that the staff were as unhappy as we were!!So all in all, none of us will ever go back.

I have visited the dream cafe a couple of times and have always been given terrible service the owners wife is so rude I don't no how they get any customers I certainly won't be going back avoid like the plague unless you of course don't mind being treated with such disrespect

Terrible experience. Decided to have lunch with two girlfriends and our babies. The cafe was practically empty so we thought our buggies wouldn't be distributive to other people sitting in there. A kind gentleman said he would move tables to enable us to sit down together with the children. The owner's wife then flew into a rage saying we were disturbing her customers, we were in the way and to use our common sense?!! Extremely patronising and rude! Needless to say we didnt stay very long. We are considerate people and wouldn't disturb anyone. I would urge all mums (and everyone else) to avoid this place like the plague. We then went to another cafe who had an ex employee working there and she explained that the lady had been rude to other people for various reasons. My friends and I will be telling everyone about our experience and hope that people like this who can't tolerate the public don't get a chance to work with the public.

Has a great menu, with varities of snacks and meals. Would certainly recommend. Food is always cooked nice and hot. Staff friendly. Can get busy so sometimes have to wait for a table.......but worth the wait.

I have been lunching at the Dream Cafe for many months - usually with family and friends. The food is fresh and of a high standard with a good selection. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We always look forward to going there and enjoy the gentle banter that we have with them all. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone
