Had my little girls third birthday party on Saturday, Kim was absolutely wonderful with the children. We went for the Little Farmers party, so the children all got to be farmers for the day, feeding the animals and then Kim organised some tuff trays of farm themed activities. Honestly we are all still talking about the party now..would highly recommend for all ages. We had ages ranges from age 1 - age 6 and all catered and entertained! Thank you again and see you soon!

Animals good for kids, but food was poor, service slow, and prices not cheap. I didn’t think it was possible to mess up a tuna mayo baguette, but the filling was liquid dripping out of the bread. Coffees and sides were fine. We were hoping to get some meat at the butchers, but it looked old and the facilities weren’t the cleanest. Would only recommend going if you have a little one that wants to see some lovely farm animals, which were all extremely friendly and tame.

A lovely little place! only negative was there was a lot of staff on, standing around doing nothing. There was a lot of wasps outside (can’t be helped) but non of the tables were getting cleared attracting more. i ended cleaning tables myself and when i went to the counter with all the stuff, the staff were all in the kitchen chatting.

I’ve been here a few times now as live locally. Large gravel car park. A brilliant location for young children- lots of play equipment and animals to look at. Great covered sandpit for when the weather isn’t great. The cafe is expensive but the coffee is usually good. Lots of high chairs. Cakes are a tad disappointing- I thought they might have been homemade/fresh as there is an adjacent farm shop and local cookery school, but they taste like processed, bought-in rubbish 🤢 Stick to the Farmer Tom’s ice-cream- it’s delicious!

Local produce lovely staff, great coffee. Great for young kids small animal farm with animals that kids can see, plus nice play area. Food was nice and tasty. Only gripe was the sausage was overcooked (badly) chewy. If they are working on kevlar jackets for sausage then they have achieved it. If they want customer satisfaction they have not.

We were staying at a neighbouring campsite and walked over the the shop and cafe. We came twice during our stay - once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both were delightful - big portions, good quality food and great prices! During our breakfast visit, we saw the little farmers session taking place which looked amazing! We also made a visit to the shop and bought some chutneys and sausages that are served in the cafe. Lots of local produce available which was lovely.

Lovely little place. Not many farms let you feed their animals and for my toddler that's all she wants to do. The sand pit is under cover which is helpful during winter and against the summer sun. Lovely little farm shop cafe/restaurant serving good quality local produce at sensible prices. Staff were friendly and polite, especially Lisa who took the time to come over and chat. Food was good and tasty, generous portion sizes. I had the 6oz special burger which was lovely but perhaps could benefit with being a little flatter and more burger shaped rather than a meat ball in a bun. Just some friendly feedback. The trio of fishcakes and Halloumi burger were excellent. Great play area for children with animals to see and interact with. Sign says 'Don't feed the white pony, it bites!' Recommended if you fancy something different from all those chains of restaurants you find in all the services.

Lovely little place for the kiddies and family to be up close to the animals. Lots of play area space covered and uncovered from the sun. The food and drinks are slightly expensive though you can deal with that when you get to see the animals for free. Though I feel a donation box would be useful if you wanted to bring your own packed lunches with the cost of living at the moment. However, the changing facilities for baby were dirty and nappy bin overflowing with flies. If the toilet facilities were checked more thoroughly I would have rated higher.

We had a lovely full English breakfast here the other day. Ample portions and cooked really well. Vegetarian option had lots of choices. Prices are reasonable and good for what you get on the plate. Highly recommend for families as there is a great play area outside and farm animals to interact with further away from the cafe. You also have a great little shop with local produce opposite and a cookery school next door too. This is ideally located within walking distance from the camp and caravan site. It’s also just off the old A30 road so worth a stop off for a bite to eat and entertain kids on a long journey to e.g. Cornwall. Owners and staff are lovely and friendly. Some tasty ice cream on sale too but we were too full to try it out, maybe next time. Noticed that they also do a Roast dinner on Sundays.

With only one thing on the menu I was rather disappointed and had to miss lunch as I'm not fond of turkey. It was only 2pm so there should be some sense of choice. Instead I settled for a rather good chocolate fudge cake, moist inside and with a thick layer of icing. I thought the coffee was a bit above average though my travelling companion was disappointed and left half, finding it tasted burnt. The staff were friendly and engaging and it was clear that it's a nice place to take the kids to look at the animals.

Paid for a coffee that I didn't get. They were really busy with a group hire. The waitress first hadn't taken the order property then when I asked I then paid, but again after another wait no coffee. Fine you're busy, but I was left feeling erked because the waitress didn't care so the experience was unpleasant. Yeah, maybe I forgot to order the one thing I was looking forward to, which I only have on a few occasions per year, but I didn't. In my industry kindness and patience are key. I could have waited all day if that staff member had just been professional. Now I'm off to find a farm that is a bit nicer with there customers. I couldn't see how to reply to your reply other than here. Hope that's okay. I could see how busy you were, and wouldn't have minded waiting, but I resented a situation where I was expected to wait while being treated in a certain way. It's fine. I'm sure yours is a nice place, but that wasn't my experience. I didn't ask for a refund for the delay. The delay wasn't the issue for me. Your member of staff who took my order is probably still adamant I didn't order coffee I'm sure. I know she's wrong. We all make mistakes. I didn't want her to apologise, but I didn't expect to be made to feel I was a problem. I get that they were busy, but anyway, there you go.

The place was really clean and tidy, they are also dog friendly. Food was really nice and well portioned but isn't the cheapest and probably a lot more than you would pay in other places, but for a one off whilst on holiday it was great.

We visited as a treat as we used to go for breakfast before lockdown. Sadly gone downhill since Covid. The breakfast portion sizes were not balanced properly. The sausage was the largest one ever seen but coarse with no flavour and could not eat it. They used to do smaller sausages. Why not make smaller sausages and add a few herbs, allowing people to make a choice. The bacon was thickly cut, not our taste and difficult to chew. The toast order was wrong. Bring back the build a breakfast option so you can choose what you want. The cleanliness needs improvement, dust/dirt around the table where we were seated, needs a good hoover.

This place is a little gem. We arrived without booking a table and was greeted warmly by a lady who quickly checked her booking and found us a lovely table outside by the sandpit. We were shown where the animal feed was and where to leave the money and told to relax and enjoy. Whilst our 3 younger children aged 8, 7 and 7 yrs old went off to explore we sat down and ordered drinks and food off the light bites menu which was delicious. One of the best homemade scotch eggs my husband has tasted! We then had a local made ice cream which was very good quality. We spent a couple of hours here and could have stayed for longer as our children were occupied playing. There is a small variety of animals to see including pigs, sheep, ponies, and chickens and bags of feed are available at 50p each. There is also a big sandpit and tractors to play on. The care do have a sign up saying no packed lunches for children which as a small family run business with all of the animals to see free of charge this isn't unreasonable at all and they do offer children's meals for around £5 or children's sandwiches with crisps and side salad for £4. We would definitely visit again.

Really nice experience for the kids and our boys love the under cover sandpit. Only issue we had when visiting was the amount of food that was available from the menu. Every time we went to the till to order or ask for something the answer was “sorry we haven’t got any of that”. This was a little hard to fathom as at the time it was booking only so there wasn’t a huge footfall of customers that could have caused this kind of shortage? Apart from that the food was nice, the staff were polite and the kids had a great time.

Whilst entertaining important business associates I stumbled upon this fine establishment. Nestled in the heart of the town, this spectacular restaurant took us by surprise. The atmospheric lighting, the carefully curated decor and the maitre d (I believe was called Ben) was extremely welcoming. The owner, Oliver, was very friendly and very informative about the origin of the Michelin grade menu and had a charm that was not wasted on my party.
