As a native of Bristol who has lived in Bristol for five years and still has a Chinese stomach, who knows my family? Drinking morning tea in a Cantonese restaurant in Bristol's Little Chinatown really makes me feel like I'm back home in a second, especially when I see the red "囍", which means that a wedding banquet is going to be held, and it's just the right time to get some joy. What is particularly worth recommending is that the dim sum in this restaurant is handmade by the chef 👨🏻‍🍳! It's not a pre-prepared dish that is frozen and heated! When I was really young, I went out to eat with my elders, and the elders said that the ingredients used in this restaurant were so fresh. At that time, I didn't feel anything and really couldn't taste it, which means that it's too good to eat every day. Now that I'm older, I can really appreciate the "freshness of ingredients". Recommend a few dishes that Xiao Wu likes to eat to everyone! Shrimp dumplings 🦐/Siomai: There are whole prawns in it, with thin skin and thick meat. In addition to shrimp, siomai also has lean meat mixed with crab roe on top 👆🏻. When I first came here to eat, my friend strongly recommended this dim sum, and it really won me over! Durian crisps: Good news for durian lovers! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside! And the durian heart inside is hot! Durian lovers are really satisfied with one bite! Cured glutinous rice: It is relatively light. Every bite dug with a spoon 🥄 is mixed with diced bacon, which is different from the previous cured glutinous rice with only bacon sausage on top. Lotus leaf glutinous rice chicken: The difficulty of this dish is that the glutinous rice must be moistened by the taste of chicken and the fragrance of lotus leaves! In other words, it cannot be white glutinous rice with chicken! And the chicken must be tender and smooth and not have a fishy smell! xo chicken feet xo radish cake: Added black beans! Friends who have not eaten black beans may smell the smell of black beans and think it is a bit stinky, but it tastes really fragrant. For example, we eat black bean hot pot in Guizhou. When I said it was fragrant, my sister said something. But it is because of the smell of fried black beans that the overall layer will be richer. There is also the enhanced version of the luxurious dry fried beef noodles... iron plate beef... taro sago... the boss's special pink tequila...

Really enjoyed the dim sum, it was delicious, good variety and friendly service.

Nice Dim Sum, but the music are too old-fasioned

The restaurant were incredibly accommodating to all our requests. We requested a quiet table away from other diners to meet the needs of our Neuro spicy party and they offered us our choice of table. We had last minute drop outs reducing our number considerably and they were very understanding. The food was delicious and the service was just right- they were on hand for anything we needed throughout the meal. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Particular thanks to Shu Ying for taking such good care of us and being so patient with us. Thank you for our lovely evening!

Went here a couple of weeks ago, I have been here a few times previously some years ago and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I can’t say the same on this visit. The place was grubby and cold, toilets needed a proper scrub and the carpets are filthy. I did something I never do in a restaurant here, however bad, I sent a dish back, it was stone cold and massively overcooked, The lady serving us was lovely, but returned with our sent back meal from a set menu doubled up on the bill that was already massively overpriced., we paid it and left. Not for me, wont be going back.

We went on a Wednesday night as a couple and decided to choose Set Menu B from the menu. There was a vast selection in the menu and it all looked and sounded really good, but I suffer from choice paralysis with huge menus so we settled on a preset meal instead. The service was really attentive and very fast indeed. I don't think I've ever been served freshly cooked food in a restaurant so quickly before! They also kindly asked if we would like a break between each course which I thought was a really nice touch. The food was excellent. I was especially impressed with the starters, which tend to be quite greasy and tough where Chinese food is involved, but these were neither, and were totally delicious! The spare ribs were outstanding - I highly recommend them. The rest of the dishes were all cooked really well and were tasty, and again, nothing was too greasy. We ended up not finishing all of the main course as we were too full to have any more, so they serve you plenty for the price that you pay, and we have slightly larger than average appetites. The atmosphere was pretty good, only let down slightly by the trolley stacked full of dirty dishes sat by the bar for some unknown reason. If this was out of sight somewhere else, I wouldn't have anything to mention. The decor is ok, and it is quite brightly lit inside, rather than mood lit. Overall, I would recommend coming to Dragon's Delicacy for the food alone. We had a great time and will be back, so thank you for such a great dining experience!

We have been here for many times, food was good. They may not have a good booking system the booking was marked on book manually but sometimes not being updated into their electronic system. Happened 3 times on us and our friends had several experiences too so that resulted a long wait to be seated. It was Chinese New Year a time to celebrate but we had a not so great experience last week. A time limit of 1hour 15mins was only time when we were brought to the tables (not in the years before though), there was no mention in booking, we could have chosen another venue if knowing it when booking because we are big group. Same for other customers in front of us and after us as heard from their conversation. 1hour 15min is truely quite short for a big table of 4 families but it was understood for the peak days the restaurant would like to take more customers. We got 20+ items (75% of food ordered) arrived to our table only 17 minutes before the due time and then one bigger dish after the due time. We tried to finish eating as fast we could and obviously time had run late when we asked for the bill. The manager said loudly in a bad attitude that we were late. We told him food was late even by saying sorry then he even yelled at us that it was our problem for not returning the table timely despite whatever reason. Then he walked away. There was a staff behind me and friends on the next table watching. The restaurant was only approximately 70% full at all times we were there didn’t understand why the manager had acted rude! All the rest of staffs were nice.

Could order some dishes, at least they are freshly cooked but never dim sum, never never. You’ll regret it.

Excellent all round. We were there for lunch on a Sunday and it was packed. Great buzz and friendly staff.

Not only was the food scrumptious service was exceptional. Staff very attentive to customers’ needs and responded accordingly. Special praise to (all alliterations) Sue Yin, Crystal, Fey Fey and the funny bald manager. Perceptive, immediate, and unobtrusive in service, we had one of the best dinner experiences in Bristol

A Chinese food feast! Was really pleasantly surprised visiting this place as from the outside didn’t think it looked like much but the food was amazing and the staff were super friendly. We ordered quite a bit of food to share and tried some new dishes and everything was so so good. Would definitely recommend if there’s a few of you so you can order multiple items and share.

Today, New Year's Day, January 1st, we were in Bristol and thought there was nowhere to eat, but we found a Dim Sum restaurant. OK, it was very tasty. The four of us ate 26 pounds each. The food was delicious! Now, on January 1st of the new year, I am in Bristol, thinking about the city of East and West, and as a result, I am here in the winery. OK 喔 也挺优吃 們 4 吃人 26 英飊 East and West 也很tasty! Today, New Year's Day, January 1st we were in Bristol thinking we didn't have anywhere to eat, but we found a restaurant for dim sum. OK it was quite tasty the four of us ate £26 each food was delicious! OK, c'était assez savoureux, nous quatre avons mangé 26 £ chaque nourriture était délicieuse!

More authentic compared to most Chinese restaurants in the UK, even London Chinatown. Good service team. Don’t order everything at once. The food comes randomly. An appetizer dish can come after a main. They give you what’s ready and unfortunately, they can all come too quickly forcing you to eat too fast before the food gets cold. Order a couple of dishes at a time to have a more relaxed meal. I hope they improve their system somehow. However, great restaurant. We definitely will be back!!!

It was such a fun experience. The menu is incredibly extensive, offering so many options that we decided to make a game out of it, rating the dishes from S to D tier! The food was fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. Highlights for us included the BBQ PORK PUFF PASTRY for sure (S-tier), while some items were more of an acquired taste. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. If you're a fan of dim sum or looking to explore something new, this spot is worth a visit.

Good ribs and sweet and sour. But duck was full of bone shards and mixed veg only consists of pak cho.

We came here for my wife's birthday. They treated her like a queen. It was a great atmosphere and Ray and the staff were excellent. The food is totally authentic and at a very high standard. This is reflected in the price, for a finer dining experience.

Their dim sum is consistently praised for its delicate, expertly crafted flavors, with the steamed shrimp dumplings (har gow) being a fan favorite. The dumplings feature a thin, translucent wrapper that holds a perfectly seasoned shrimp filling. And the manager wing (the bald man) this person is humorous and witty, always able to easily make everyone laugh out loud. His jokes are not only clever but also full of wisdom, striking a chord at just the right moment. His speech is not only casual and natural but also carries a confident charm that makes people feel like he can light up the atmosphere perfectly in any situation. Whether it's everyday conversation or a little anecdote at a gathering, he always manages to make those around him feel relaxed and happy.

Visitamos como una familia de cinco con niños adolescentes después de un viaje a Ikea a la vuelta de la esquina y el enorme supermercado chino de abajo. No te dejes llevar por el exterior (polígono industrial). En el interior era agradable y tenía un buen ambiente con un montón de grupos familiares y grupos de almuerzo de trabajo. Tuvimos una bonita mesa con un centro giratorio que era perfecto para dim sum. Amplio menú con imágenes y descripciones en inglés. Todas nuestras opciones eran sabrosas, calientes y entregadas rápidamente. Lo recomendaríamos.

The food tastes good, but the price is a bit expensive!

The food and the service were excellent. There was a wonderful atmosphere for my daughter's birthday meal. The only problem was the SERVICE CHARGE. There is no justification for a 'service charge'. What is a 'service charge' anyway? It adds 10% onto your bill for no reason. I was going to leave a 10% tip but after having to pay the service charge and no option to opt out, I left no tip. Which is a shame because the staff deserved it. This service charge is obviously just some kind of accepted practice to add hidden charges onto your bill. The prices you see on the menu should be the prices you pay.

This restaurant has become worse over time. Food was slow to come and overcooked, and prices have substantially increased.

La comida y el servicio eran excelentes. Había un ambiente maravilloso para la comida de cumpleaños de mi hija. El único problema era el CARGO POR SERVICIO. No hay justificación para un «cargo por servicios». ¿Qué es un 'cargo por servicio'? Añade un 10% a su factura sin motivo alguno. Iba a dejar una propina del 10%, pero después de tener que pagar el cargo por el servicio y no tener opción de optar por no participar, no dejé propina. Lo cual es una pena porque el personal se lo merecía. Este cargo por servicio es obviamente solo algún tipo de práctica aceptada para agregar cargos ocultos a su factura. El proceso que ves en el menú debe ser el proceso que pagas.

Viajamos desde Swindon para una auténtica comida china de la provincia de Guangdong, alrededor de Kaiping Fuimos recibidos por dos frente de la casa con experiencia del personal Weng & Kevin. Weng sugirió el cordero asado y el pato asado - Fui a por cordero, ya que me he dado cuenta de que se ha eliminado de la mayoría de los restaurantes chinos, era un plato increíble también fue para FRESH Bok choy. Me alegra informar que la comida no estaba cargada con glutamato monosódico.

The food here is very good, a little on the expensive side but better then your average takeaway. Always good portion sizes, we like the set menus. Well worth a visit, recommend to anyone that enjoys Chinese food!!

My spouse and I had a remarkably good meal at Dragon Delicacy . It has the atmosphere of the big dim sum houses in China Town but was among the very best we have eaten . Service was exemplary- welcoming and engaging . Importantly for disabled diners the restaurant is very accessible , ample disabled parking and a lift from the ground floor to the restaurant and my wife’s assistance dog was greeted with delight - a wonderful experience for assistance dog handlers who often are not made welcome at all. We were seated mindfully to be convenient to staff , easy access in the wheelchair and space for the dog this let us relax more than we often can . It’s spacious , clean and atmospheric . We were advised about a special item of soup dumplings and tactfully guided as to the best way to eat it - this made us confident to try other food new to us . We will certainly be back !

Traditional Cantonese cuisine done right - the closest taste to what you get in Hong Kong that you can get in Bristol! Our go to for great quality dim sum, roast meats and Chinese classics. Very convenient parking and location! Only downside is it’s quite expensive.

Average food and atmosphere but some rude staff

Best Chinese I've had in Bristol. Great traditional dishes and plenty of things I've never tried before. Great staff too.

This place is huge and that tells you all you need to know. We were a group of 6 and were having yum cha, which were delicious. My only issue was that it was hard sharing the sauces and we could probably have done with 2 sets. Service was extremely efficient on the initial order, but it was hard to attract someone's attention thereafter. Decor was clean but the chairs were very tired and could probably use a refresh. My 🌟 rating in my mind is 3.5. Overall I would recommend for family or a group of friends.

Had an absolute shambles, food originally came out cold, got heated back up and the duck was inedible just full of gristle about 5% meat on it. The ribs which had a whopping price tag was also 5% meat the rest gristle, my prawn and scallop dish again a whopping price tag had 2 scallops 🤦‍♀️ safe to say we will not be returning

The food was nice but not advised to order with Hungry Panda, every time we ordered that way the food wasn’t so good.

We have been a few times but this was not a great visit, it was busy and we hadn’t booked, but they sat us by an fire exit door/ storage room and the staff needed to keep going in and out and kept leaving door open, I was frozen throughout our meal despite getting up and closing the door several times myself, they didn’t seem to notice or even care 🤔 Staters were good except the chicken for chicken satay was tough as old boots. Our hoped highlight of crispy duck and pancakes was awful plenty of duck but SO dry, the cucumber batons had obviously been cut well in advance so were also dry so offered no moisture to the dish. The hoisin sauce was shocking it actual had no sweetness and a nasty state cheesy aftertaste. My husband was treating me to this meal as a nice surprise so really didn’t wasn’t to make any fuss that would spoil his efforts so didn’t complain. It was barely edible though if I’m honest 😬 Can hoisin sauce go off? The next course was good thank goodness, special fried rice excellent and sizzling prawns very nice. Staff were friendly but busy. Probably won’t go back and try to find another restaurant that’s more consistent on flavour and quality.

We’ve just come home after visiting and eating here ! Its was everything we expected and more . I really fancied Dim Sum and boy it was so worth travelling for it for 45 mins !! Dim Sum fresh and tasty prawn , prawn pork , spare ribs salt and chili ,Szechuan king prawn , stir fry pork noodles ! All tasted superb compliments to the chefs !! The restaurant was clean and spacious very attentive staff esp Shu Ling apologies if I spelt her name wrong . She was so helpful and explained things if we were not sure . My first time here as Dragon Delicacy. We came for Dim Sum and had a great selection of very tasty small dishes, exactly what I was hoping for but much better than I imagined. The service was spot on, professional, friendly and polite. all the dishes were served hot along with refills of Oolong tea. The price were very reasonable too. I look forward to another visit very soon.

Pretty good for authentic Chinese food

The food has really improved! Dim sum was really good. Service was decent even though it was busy. Good atmosphere, children running around on the stage, really family friendly. Price can be a bit spenny, but considering we ate lunch and dinner in one meal it's not so bad!

Ordered set menu B, (a range of dishes selected by the establishment), everything was superb, highly recommend. Wing, (or as he said, Wing like chicken wing), took excellent care of us, and even offered us a free experiment of a dessert, which was also delicious. Will be back to try more soon - once we've found a good reason to celebrate something, like, Friday, perhaps.

This place is authentic and has such an amazing atmosphere, my family and I eat here regularly and the food never disappoints!

Good food and well priced but a bit like eating in an overcrowded barn

Since the restaurant changed hands (and name) the food here is not quiet as good as it used to be. Dim sum was OK, possibly good. For example the sticky wrapped rice was not up to previous standards and had lost the great flavours this dish should have. Congee was plain, no tasty morcels in it. They had dropped several of my favourite dim sum from the menu, with no interesting additions. Rice roll was OK. Service was also OK, it used to be friendly. The menu has declined in choice somewhat, just as it has got more expensive. Though you can generally order off-menu if you know what you want. I wish they would change the once glorious carpet, because it gives such a poor impression when you enter. I hope this restaurant can regain its former height. We were regular visitors here, once a month, but not anymore.

We were served by Ray, he was lovely. We were indecisive about what to order so he suggested to make the order for us, he asked if we had any allergies or dislikes before doing this. The food order he made for us was perfect, we loved every dish. We will defiantly we coming back in the future

Excellent food & service despite being very busy. Food was hot & very tasty. Parking a bit awkward but managed to move car before carpark shut. Will return again.

A big dimsum restaurant, the dim sum choice and quality are both as good as if back to Hong Kong.

Come and immerse yourself in Chinese culinary culture. You won't just be tasting traditional dishes, it's more than that. You'll have a complete experience getting to know Chinese people, how they interact, how they serve in restaurants, how they're always smiling. I really liked this place.

I have only ordered through deliveroo but this is my favourite Chinese ever My only negative is that I can't order broccoli in oyster sauce for that I have to order through the vegetarian version of this restaurant

Went here as a group of 17 for my dad's birthday meal. Food was great and our host Shu Ying was very welcoming, polite and efficient :)

Food quality is good and tastes good

It was our anniversary last night but after a stressful work day we didn’t want to go out to eat. So we phoned in a collection order with Dragon’s Delicacy. We were blown away with the quality and quantity of the food, the roasted meats especially were outstanding! They even gave us some lovely egg tarts as a congratulations on our special day - what a lovely touch, it really put a smile on my face. We will definitely be eating in next time - can’t wait to have those roast meats again, outstanding!

They dealt very well with a large party of 20 and they managed to serve all of us, tasty, piping hot, delicious dishes. Shu Ying was patient, helpful and very efficient. She looked after our group really well and ensured we had everything we needed.

The food here is delicious, and the staff term is incredibly friendly. Especially wing, Jin, shuyin FeiFei are also very accommodating, allowing adjustments to the dishes based on personal preferences. Highly recommend!

After 3 hrs of driving from London, checked into hotel and straight to Dragon Delicacy, this evening was our 2nd time dining here, we absolutely loved the 1st meal we had last week. We have been to quite a few Chinese restaurants over the years but never been to one where we have enjoyed ourselves as much as we have in this place. The food is very tasty and beautifully presented, the ambience is especially great because Wing and Ray bring the restaurant alive with their charm and quick humour. Not only did we have a good meal, they both entertained us with their banters. We ordered aubergine cooked with pork and spicy sauce, my 11yr old ordered this dish because he enjoyed it so much when we came last weekend, may I add not many kids like greens but he likes this dish very much. The salt baked chicken was delicious, tender and succulent, loved this dish. We had roast duck and pork, can’t complain about this dish and tastes just like at four seasons in London Chinatown. Seafood fried noodle was also delicious, as was salt and pepper squid. What makes this restaurant my number one place to go to when I am in Bristol is the service from Wing & Ray and the food. We had a lovely meal and a lot of laughter. Thank you for a brilliant evening, you have made my boy very happy, see you soon.

The food was, in general, average but authentic. My shredded duck noodles contained lumps of gristle and skin and was not shredded at all and was very greasy. The atmosphere is very impersonal. Drinks are extremely expensive. The restaurant is on the first floor. There is a lift making it accessible.

For an authentic Chinese food experience, a must to visit. Excellent service, excellent food.

We asked our excellent waiter, Ray, to select some food for us and we were not disappointed. The Peking duck was top-notch, and the dim-sum were the best my children have ever had. We will definitely be going back for more.
