Shocking. Ordered over £70 of takeaway. They took my money then cancelled the order. Fighting to get money back now

March 2024 Ita closed. They then you away at the door. Sign saying takeaway should be removed and changed to private kitchen. Get told to use delivery apps even when stood at front door. Disappointed. Update AUG24: Still no sign saying No Takeaway... come on, how hard is it to put a large sign up in the window?!?

Older food on the phone they said it will be with me with in the hour but still waiting for it unhappy with there service

This place was amazing, they have since closed their glen st. Ave. Branch but still employ someone to answer the phone? Must be a tax based reason! They have taken a staple from their community in persuit of profit. NO I will go to 'master chef' YOU have sold out, and in doing so, taken a piece of our community spirit with you.

Very disappointed with our take away tonight ordered for a birthday part of it was missing waiting for another hour for missing food to be delivered all of our food was cold and lady was very rude when I called up yes they put 15% onto to have off next time but offered no refund so wasted £50 on a horrible meal I will not be ordering from them again

Used to be a great takeaway. Pancakes smaller and very greasy Didn’t include Sweet & Sauce with Sweet & Sour Chicken balls. Called and was advised I could have it delivered in an hour as they are busy!!! Manager didn’t call back, so I called back and asked for refund, apparently only owner can do. Awful, won’t be ordering again. Still waiting for contact

Ordered from Just Eat, estimated delivery was an hour, waited for an hour and called the restaurant they said their estimated time is 2 hours as they are busy, we waited another 2 hours and still nothing. Called the restaurant they said that they cant get hold of the delivery driver and there is nothing more they can do. I then called again in half an hour and they said that the driver will be 25 minutes. Waited for nearly 3 hours and still nothing. Absolutely disgusting, I will not be ordering from here again.

Can’t fault the food always been lovely and a firm favourite but the delivery lets it down 3 and a half hrs since placing our order the food arrived. Was 2 and half hours over the estimated delivery time. Disappointed once again as the last delivery before that they messed the order up. Shame as this has been our best Chinese we had found so far.

Terrible service. Waited an hour and 45 mins for delivery which I kept being told was on the way. When it finally did arrive it was cold. I never usually complain but the way they dealt with the complaint was rubbish. Very rude.

One of thest all round takeaways We've had for years. Fresh chips and not reheats from fresh pototoes. A lovely tasting roast pork (tender) curry and Chicken & sweet corn soaps, absolutely gorgeous. Oh and of course the pork ribs which had about as much meat on as I get on my plate for a Sunday roast.

Waiting 2hrs for delivery and still waiting... not good . Food turned up cold and incomplete no barbecue sauce. Got told sorry you want us to drop it over .After 2hrs late will not refund only barbecue sauce ..absolute shambles. Good cook spoilt by very bad service worst I've ever dealt with.

The shop called to let us know our order for collection was ready, my 11 year old answered the phone and the receptionist was shouting and swearing. When my partner arrived he asked to speak to management and they didn't come out. Woman on the desk found it all very entertaining. We recorded the whole thing, really bad customer service, didn't even offer any money off the order as a goodwill gesture. Absolutely appalling considering we are regular customers. Vile place.

It's the only Chinese I'll order from! Portions are great, food is always fresh and hot and very tasty!

Great food, everything I've had so far has been delicious. Menu is quite various so should count for any desires. Ordering is simple. Delivery usually arrive within 30 mins but can take longer if busy, worth the wait nonetheless.

Wasn't sure why the reviews were so bad. The staff were very friendly especially the girl at the front serving over the phone (sorry didn't catch your name). Food was really amazing. Been to a few Chinese takeaways in Plymouth and this one is the best for me. Always tastes so fresh and the egg fried rice is bomb. Also has the best chips and sweet and sour chicken. Thanks 👍🫡

We both had Starters and a Main and were super happy with the prices as well as the taste. I can recommend this place wholeheartedly! Don't be discouraged by the negative reviews, we have ordered twice now and have not anything that wasn't great! Plus they are really nice :)

Good restaurant food was found hygienic and fresh.

Do not go to this restaurant!, Avoid it at all costs!, I went there paid for my meal then they were asking me to show them my online banking to show that the payment had gone through! Then they asked me to pay for it again even when I had a pending transaction with them on my bank, is that not evidence enough for them? AVOID!

Unfortunately this place has gone down hill yet the prices have gone up, used to be able to get pack of 10 decent sized chicken balls, now the price has gone up and you only get 9 chicken balls and the chicken balls are half the size now, you cannot expect customers to keep returning. Did you change it to 9 chicken balls to feed the delivery drivers to stop them stealing food? It's a shame as this was my goto Chinese takeaway for over 2 years but it's just too expensive for too small a portion, and the last batch of chicken balls I received had a raw one in I was lucky to catch it. I'm happy to say I have found another local Chinese that is 10x better than this place you should order elsewhere the portion sizes and quality here are just too low to justify any amount of money spent, the same goes for the sister Chinese of new dragon house, will not be ordering again.

I've lived local to this takeaway for 3 years I've ordered maybe 4 times within that time period recently out of convenience order twice within the last week on both occasions food was not up to scratch... Would not be going back any time soon after last night made myself and my children sick

Worst Chinese in Plymouth. Meal arrived really late and it was a wrong order. Phoned the takeaway and the girl was very rude and denied the order was wrong. Please don't waste your money on this Chinese takeaway

First time using the new app and it is really good. From ordering to being delivered and on our plates it was 35 mins !! Still the best chinese around.

I was sat with my partner waiting in the collection area, when one of the workers put a takeaway bag next to me on the table, which had a boogie on the receipt. I felt extremely sick after seeing this and struggled to eat my food afterwards. This made me think do the workers even wash their hands?! The chicken balls also had tough bits of chewy fat inside which made me feel more sick. Definitely not worth the price for some chicken balls and rice. Please do better with hygiene as this has now stopped me from ordering from here. Workers could also smile a bit more as the atmosphere just feels tense and awkward.

It’s such a shame as we have always ordered pretty regularly from here however tonight we waited for 2hrs, understandably as it’s a Friday and we know how busy it is. Was informed that it had arrived from just eat, 25minutes later still no sign, so called to enquire and was told it was out for delivery, totally fair it’s very busy. 20minutes later no sign, and a message from just eat to say they have cancelled the order. Called to enquire, politely asked what was going on and was told they didn’t want our business anymore because we had called to ask where it was? Very confusing and disappointing. Will not be returning unfortunately.

Food wasn't cooked well the rice was but the beef and chicken weren't very disappointed after spending nearly 20 on a Chinese tried to ring back to ask the driver to come back and get the food but there not picking up would of liked a refund but doubt I will get one. Wouldn't bother ordering from here. Left hungry! Bang out of order.

Had a few deliveries from here But the last 2 were awful, not using ever again.

Been ordering here for at least 2 years now, foods been perfect and had great service. But recently we've had later deliveries after being told an hour to an hour and 20min for our deliver which is expected turned to a 2 hour delivery after making our order. We rang to check only to get attitude about how they run a take away business and it's busy. Sorry but your paying customer who contributed to your business is now looking elsewhere. Minor spend but with the way things have been I would have thought a paying customer that lives 15minutes away is worth more then attitude on the phone. Didn't even eat half the food as it was too late for a full meal. If your customer service changes let me know as the foods perfect.

Do not get the duck... Tiny pieces of hard skin which could break your teeth, I'm used to nice pieces of duck breast... But this is what filled the carton... Dry gravel like duck crisps.

Food was great and a short walk from our B and B. Waited for our food and we got it at the time they said it would be ready. Food was hot and was really nice and not salty like some take always are. It seamed well organised. Was brilliant for us after a long drive down to Plymouth.

We had the salt & pepper chilli chicken & chips, the duck in plumb sauce & a Crispy chilli beef. It was so tasty, literally cooked perfectly, delivered hot and the lady on the phone was spot on. The best chinese we've had in a such a lonnng time. Thank you all for a great meal!

Disgraceful customer service ordererd £40 of food, order wrong then when we phoned up we were told " you didn't ask for that " I'm sorry but I know exactly what I ordered as we wrote it down ,!!!! Then not even a sorry but if you bring it back we can change it did not even offer to deliver the correct meal , maybe train your telephone receptionist with some customer skills!!

I have ordered from here a few times, its usually less than warm by the time I get to eat it, but it taste nice. Although, today I experienced very rude customser service and very long waiting time for some change. This was followed by attitude from two female staff members. I will not be ordering from here again and will encourage others not to. There are much better places to get a Chinese meal from!

Ordered vegetarian chow mein here. It took about 10 minutes to prepare. This place accepts card (£10 minium). My dish was quite good, would probably order here again.

After waiting for my order part of it was wrong. I called to say I requested no pork but it had pork on it. There answer was 'can't you pick it off!" Very dissatisfied, never use again.

Delicious food and an enjoyable experience from ordering to delivery! I honestly believe this Chinese 'take a way 'is the best in the south west! The food is obviously prepared from fresh with the finest of produce. My sweet and sour chicken balls were cooked to perfection, and the taste was truely awesome! The prawn toast is a 'party in the mouth', a definite delicious starter /appertiser. The spring Rolls are perfect and just SO tasty! My food was delivered a little later then the delivery time estimated, but was hot, the presentation and portions were fabulous, and Aaron, my delivery server was charming, polite and a credit to the business. Overall, my experience was a massive five stars, and i will look forward to ordering in the future. A massive thumbs up from me!

Nice food delivered to our holiday park at Tencreek. Delivery guy was nice despite the really aweful weather he was enduring. Slightly pricey but what you come to expect on holiday

I ordered special fried rice because I like the sauce but asked for only chicken in it because I cant eat the other meats. When it came it had all the meats in. Whem I phoned to complain, I got told it was my own fault as I should ordered a chicken and rice then asked for it to have bbq sauce on. She said I was confusing her staff and it was my error. Shocking. I will not be ordering from these rude people again.

AVOID!!! Put an order in clearly read out what I wanted along with the numbers got charged for it all but was missing a few items. Called and they told me I got what I asked for and when I said the cost and items received didn't add up I was told to listen more clearly next time!! Oh there won't be a next time

UTTERLY DISGUSTING!!! I will never order from here ever again!! Half way through my Chicken with Mushroom&boiled rice ran a tiny black bug through my food,i promptly wretched,got up and threw the rest of our food in the bin,i am very worried i have possibly digested bugs,i feel really sick just thinking about it and so upset this should not have happened,and i can only imagine how poor the hygiene is in your take away!! Very Poor!!!! I just hope i don't become ill now!!!!

Order the rendang, Singapore vermicelli, salt and pepper chicken wings, and duck spring rolls. Actually really tasty especially the rendang, which isn't Chinese but Malaysian. Great food, and delivered earlier than expected during lockdown.

For our anniversary and because of lockdown my wife ordered through justEat. Due to very late promise on delivery (10:15) we cancelled. That was March 29. Since then, we've contacted justEat & New Dragon, even by letter, and nobody had even the decency to reply! We've lost £22 and they don't care. Avoid this place!

The food delicious, my starter sesame king prawns on toast aammmazzzingg um um yum, then oriental duck spring rolls with chick curry + egg fried rice, followed by banana fritters with golden syrup. WOW WOW WOW, WOW WOW, Absolutely gorgeous, hot enough, tasty tasty, by far the best takeaway food I've tasted, I will recommend the new dragon house, as your something special, I loved your food, thankyou for a good meal.

Visiting Plymouth and fancied a Chinese delivery. Ordered a Chicken Curry , Chicken Chow Mein, Mini pancake rolls and prawn crackers by telephone . Paid by card and awaited delivery . It seemed on delivery my order was wrong as no Chow Mein was delivered so I called to be asked what had arrived . I described the dish and was told they would send the dish when they had a driver . ..... I explained I would quite like my meal altogether so I would bag this all up and could we have a fresh delivery with the missing dish . The girl went away and next I was speaking to a rather arrogant manager who told me that I had received chicken chow mien , I explained that this was not what I asked for and that although it was chicken and noodles underneath it was in gravy . I was then told that’s how we make it here and if you didn’t want gravy you should say . Mmm well maybe your staff should have asked me if I wanted dry chow mien or the one in gravy as clearly they know there are two and I not being from here didn’t . Rude firstly and secondly the food was awful the chicken curry was watery and the chow mien in gravy tasted like it was boiled with no flavour . Hence I won’t be returning . Made a terrible mistake, purchasing my Friday night treat from this take away. Should have run a mile when entering the establishment, to say old and tired décor would be a more than fair description, pretty scruffy probably more accurate. The meal was inedible the Spicy chicken wings were so over cooked they where rock hard. The chicken in plum sauce was even worst, the plumb sauce was described as home made but clearly came from a bottle and was vile. I spent £28 on two meals and I think we eat about £3.00 worth and that was the Chips, also charged me £2.60 for two cans of Coke. Please stay clear awful meal, very expensive. Will never use again and would recommend anyone go else ware.

Very good food and portion size

Ordered a takeaway tonight. We use new dragon house quite often and our meal came to £15.50 with delivery. We usually spend around 40 pound each time we order. The delivery driver told us our meal was £19.50 (untrue) so could he keep the change from our 20 pound note..whilst pulling out a pocket of coppers. We obviously felt sorry for him and didn't want him counting it out, to then find out he added money to our bill so delivery cost us £5.50. will never use just eat or new dragon house again

Very poor service from counter staff. 5 orders in the last month have turned up wrong or something missing. Used to use them all the time but the attitude of the girl on the phone is awful. We wont be ordering from them again.

Encontré esta comida para llevar por casualidad, ya que usaral uno cerró. La comida llegó rápido y caliente. Los platos eran de muy buen tamaño. Comida absolutamente perfecto en muy agradable y sabroso. Ahora ten el dilema la próxima vez que me apetezca curry, ¿ordeno aquí otra vez u otro? De cualquier manera, estoy lleno y encantado con el servicio en todos los ámbitos.

Altamente recomendadoHe estado buscando un buen chino desde hace años desde que cerraron nuestro antiguo lugar, alguien nos recomienda escucharlo y me alegro de haberlo probado, la comida es deliciosa, el arroz frito especial es bueno, puedes tener más verduras o más arroz, también la carne y los champiñones también es encantador la carne de res es fresca, no es esta horrible materia seca masticable que se obtiene en la mayoría de los lugares y el quator off duck también es bueno para probar, el envío es muy rápido y también resulta agradable paraDefo vale la pena intentarlo

Not sure what the hype is about really. Poor food quality, don’t even get free prawn crackers and it’s expensive, like really expensive. Honestly don’t bother go elsewhere.

We have always enjoyed your food but tonight's delivery guy pretended the main door to my block of flats was not working even though someone had been buzzed in minutes before and we went to double check after the delivery and sure enough the door was working! Delivery guy obviously couldnt be bothered to climb a few stairs to a customer that has paid for a HOME DELIVERY?? Very dissapointed.

At 5:30 placed a order of over £30 for delivery after phoning up at 6:30 to be told it’s not been put through to the kitchen yet I was less then impressed, I ended up going to collect it, I still had to wait 20-25min for it to be cooked. I paid for delivery but was not given a refund and found the staff very rude when I complained about this and the poor service, got home and found the food of poor quality and at best lukewarm at worst cold. All in all what a waste of £30
