Waited over an hour for our food - which we knew when we ordered - but when it arrived it was cold, covered in grease and half of it was really bland. Didn’t even bother to ring the store as we weren’t prepared to wait another hour for any replacements, just popped it in the microwave. We’ve never ordered from here before and unfortunately it was quite disappointing so will not be ordering again

Cold, dry and sloppy, such a shame it used to be great. Ordered at 5pm for a 7pm delivery and didnt arrive until 7.50pm

The rice was greasy, the chicken was sub-standard and also greasy. The chips were overcooked and very dry. The curry sauce was runny without any substance or flavour. The whole meal was a disaster and vaguely luke-warm.

Absolutely shocking service told 30mins at time of order 1hour later still no delivery, called and very rude staff called me a lier and could not give me a time of delivery, will never use again, definitely don’t recommend

it was freezing cold and the chicken was hard I would like a refund asap

Delivered earlier than stated but am happy with that. A little disappointed that the food was a little cold even though it was early.

I had the most awful experience here with the food, tasteless, chicken was like dry biscuits and the beef was like chewing old rubber boots .. terrible

Food was delivered quick but was full of onions both dishes to bulk it up and flavour less, I won’t be eating anything else here again , shame really use to be ok but it’s changed, don’t know if it’s a different chef

I never leave a review however I felt it was needed for this place, the most awful takeaway I’ve ever had In the south west and I’ve lived here in Plymouth 8 years now, bland, tasteless and late on delivery time just not even worth considering. I’d give less that 1 star if I could

We did a big order tonight Tues 10th dec 8 of us the food was overcooked, the chicken was overcooked and really dry, the rice was also. The chips were dry and cold. All was cold

The most disappointing Chinese meal ever. Ridiculously later than promised- over an hour and a half late. Seriously messed up my plans. The chips were hard, cold and inedible. The crispy duck was like cardboard. What a waste of blood sweat and tears it took to pay for this dismal takeaway. Will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

Food took nearly two hours to come. Was cold and and flavorless, apart from the task of burnt food. Ordered with justeat, they marked it as delivered at the time it said it was suppose to be delivered, and it had not been delivered. I called the restaurant and told them it hadn't been delivered, they said it was on the way and turned up 30 minutes later. So it clearly was still in the kitchen. Sauce was all over the food l, where the tub had leaked in the bag. All items of food were cold. Beef was like chewing a wellie and chicken was like charcoal. Don't waste your money or time 👍

took nearly 2 hours to come. restaurant marked it as delivered on app, when when it was not! I rang them they said it was on the way and didn't turn up for another 30 minutes. food was cold. sauce was everywhere in the bag and all we could taste was burned food. if I didn't take 2 hours to come ilwe wasn't so hungry I would of sent it back and got myoney back 👎

Just a tad salty in the noodles rice was lovely. But flavours were very nice.

On this occasion we were disappointed with the quality. The chicken was tough as were the vegetables and chips, whilst the sweet and sour sauce was watery. I suspect that the main ingredients had been reheated rather than freshly cooked.

Arrived late. I called twice. Kept being told it was on its way. When it finally arrived it was cold. The prawn crackers were not only cold but were also stale.

expected delivery time was 18.50 to 19.10. arrived at 19.56 was Luke warm had to be microwaved and was tasteless. total disappointment. will not be ordering again.

I’ve been feeling sick since eating this food this evening! Even been sick cause of it, horrible and tasteless, do not buy from here!

Food tasteless and ordered s+s prawn balls got chicken balls. Ordered beef with cashew nuts got about 9 cashew nuts and more veg than beef. Paid almost £30 and was awful also took over 2 hours to arrive. It arrived cold and the driver said only 1 driver for all areas. What a waste of money which I did not have to waste. Absolutely disappointed.

the food wasn't as hot as it normally is but it was good, unfortunately it was over an hour late and I had to phone due to the app saying it was delivered, this isn't the first time it's been late arriving, this is my only criticism

The driver was however very rude,heavily pointing out how I didn't answer the one phone call he mad and how I was rude for ignoring him,I have two autistic toddler and a single mum I come in the rain and no shoes to your car,he was very disregarding and won't be ordering with the driver again

After 75 minutes of waiting for our food we called the takeaway for an update to be told it was on the way so we accepted it and continued to wait. Another 30 minutes we waited and phoned back to be told it is in the kitchen and was nearly ready. After I asked why I was lied to the first time i was just told sorry. After 2 and a half hours after the order was placed my order was delivered cold. I wish I had seen these reviews before ordering as they are clearly all accurate. The food was also very bad. Please don't waste your money here.

After a year I decided to give them another try. I really wish I hadn't as it was no different than 12 months ago. Portions are big but food is terrible and the bin had most of it. Kung po chicken was without doubt the worse I've ever had infact it was like boiled chicken and veg and tasteless and I've had plenty from many Chinese restaurants. Never using them again that's for sure

Honestly, the worst Chinese I've ever tasted. So bland but with a very strange after taste. I ordered rice, noodles, chow mein, s&p chicken and s&s chicken and all of it was terrible. It went onto the bin.

I called the restaurant 10 minutes after the latest delivery time and was told the driver was on his way. I called again 15 minutes later and was told the same thing. When I said that they had told me that 15 minutes earlier they said they would phone the driver. A further 15 minutes later I called again and tried to cancel the order but was told I had to phone Just Eat to cancel. At that point the order arrived but the food was almost cold. We accepted the order as no alternative.

Arrived late, I had to call the restaurant. They sent the wrong item..dunno what I have - it's spicy but I'm hungry and don't want to wait to eat any more

Terrible, I rang so many times and they kept saying driver was on the way and he’s a couple minutes away and it arrived so so late and not very warm at all

Ordered directly from website tonight for 6:40pm delivery . Driver turned up over 1 hour early but my children weren’t home so asked him to come back at correct time. Phoned them to ask them not reheat food and please cook fresh. Driver returned an hour later, food cold and congealed, so obviously just sat in the car for an hour!!! Not impressed!

Please sort your chips out they are disgusting like reheated old chips this is the second time the chips have been like this only fit for the bin

Waited about 2 hours for delivery. Food was all but cold. Chips cold and hard. Most of meal went into the bin. Very, Very displeased with the whole experience. First and last time that we use Peking Chef.

Standard chinese. Chicken balls are good, chow mein was different but nice, chips were not good. All in all it was alright

Had a chicken curry with egg fried rice, prawn crackers The crackers were hard, the curry tasteless and watery the rice very salty and greasy Will NEVER go there again

Food was inedible ended up spending money to chuck it in the bin beef and broccoli was undercooked and super watery the seaweed was soggy and the noodles were super greasy

Only ordered from here because China Valley was closed today. The food was very greasy, the prawn toast and the pork balls had grease oozing out, the bbq sauce tasted watered down, the house special fried rice was nothing like any of the other ones we’ve had from any of the other Chinese takeaways. just basically really poor quality all round. Not worth the money we paid.

I had to call the after delivery time as the app said 'enjoy your food' despite having no notifications before hand. when i called, the restaurant said the driver could not find us and asked for my phone number, I gave it and said what is the point in giving my phone number in the app if they dont use it? The food then arrived as I was stood on my doorstep waiting, the driver was so dismissive, barely acknowledged me and no apology for being late and not suprisingly it was cold, not enjoyable

Delivered 45 minutes later than the longest estimated time. all dishes was cold on arrival, all had to be microwaved to heat up. phoned up to complain and was offered £10 off next order, no thanks

I ordered a Kung po chicken and received something else which was horrible. My food was cold. Not happy

not sure what has happened to this place it has seriously gone down hill. My food arrived late and wasn't even warm to the point where I had to microwave it.My curry sauce was clumpy. The sweet and sour chicken was a nice flavour however the chow mein was bland. I use to order from this Chinese quite often but haven't done so in a while as our delivery before was over 2 hours late, whilst our kids sat there waiting to eat. I thought I would give it the benefit of doubt, what a mistake made.

2hrs late! Cold food will never use this restaurant again!!

Had to call Peking Chef twice, they were very busy I was told was told it would be 20-30 minute's late then we had to call again and was told that it has just been picked up but it is on its way but 40 minutes later it had arrived cold so we had to reheat by this time it was nearly 10pm not a suitable time for eating and enjoy what we had bought to which was put through at 6.30pm.

Terrible experience this evening, ordered at 18:00, was advised of a 19:20 delivery, phoned up to be told the driver was 10 minutes away, 19:40 rolls by and still no food, when the driver turned up he explained the food wasn’t cooked when he come to pick up the food, and when he delivered it it was freezing cold, food was delivered at 20:20 well over 2 hours after we placed the order! Waiting for a full refund!!!!!

Rice was burnt and seaweed had no seasoning at all. Not great

Two hours for a takeaway, not surprisingly it arrived stone cold and inedible. Phoned Peking Chef nobody answered, so phoned delivery driver to tell him to let Peking Chef know and that I’ll visit takeaway tomorrow with takeaway and insist on a refund. I’ve used Peking Chef many times to collect but never delivery, and it’s not something I will ever repeat, absolutely disgusted with both quality of food and customer service.

First time ordering from Peking Chef. Delicious food, fast delivery so all nice and hot. As an added bonus I forgot to order prawn crackers so I rang the restaurant to ask if they could be added - but they were included anyway! This is our new go-to for Chinese food. Highly recommended

Spare ribs were very very salty and there wasn’t a lot of sauce. Crispy seaweed had no flavour. However did arrive quickly which is a plus! I don’t usually leave bad reviews but this wasn’t very nice.

After waiting one hour 40 minutes it's was very very cold when arriving

Everything was lovely except the chips - it was like they'd been fried a dozen times, in fact - they were so dry and like cardboard, I had to chuck them out for the birds in the morning!! so at ;east they didnt go to waste!
