Amazing with a delicious cafe thank you!!

Yummy coffee. We babysat the man at the next table's tablet while he went to the loo ! Good to know that we looked honest! We will be back

A great place for a coffee and some food. We normally have soup and sandwiches here but just popped in for a late afternoon coffee and cake. The cafe was close to closing 15.45 yet the two members of staff were warm and welcoming and happy to serve us. Thanks, see you soon we hope !

Really comfortable with excellent smiley service - limited menu, but tasty and served nicely - good price for location - and we were delighted with the shop on site too

Lovely. Perfect spot to chill with a nice coffee, cake and great atmosphere. And the pistachio and cranberry flapjack (with a white chocolate topping) was divine ... possibly the best I've ever tasted!

This used to be a wee gem of a place. It’s been refurbished and the food now comes from an outside company. Whilst the surroundings are lovely, I cannot say the same for the food which was very disappointing. The quiche was tasteless and the capuccino very small and covered in cocoa powder. The service was efficient and cheerful but I don’t think I will be back.

A cozy place with delicious coffee and food. The service is top notch. Good playlist, thank you for that! The cafe is located on a quiet street near the center, so there are few visitors and you can fully enjoy the atmosphere.

Lovely place, just wished it opened on Sundays, seems like such a waste!

Stumbled across this cafe by accident, it is tucked away off the main rd. Had some lovely cake and coffee and was served by a really cheerful girl singing along to the radio. All in all a very good experience - thank you

popped in for a quick bite at lunchtime. The staff were friendly and helpful. We both had quiche and a cuppa. Sadly the oven had broken so the quiche was cold, but still very tasty.

Lovely building - but it's very cold inside, and the coffee is tepid, too. Had to keep all my layers on.

Yummy. Everything is wonderful, and some good gluten free options -- they do their sandwiches on a nice gf roll. Their cucumber and sesame salad was particularly delightful, as was the homemade custard cream!

Visited with my partner over Valentines weekend and was left feeling a bit “meh” about the place. The food quality was overall good but a bit lacklustre with almost everything feeling as though it could have used dressing, sauce, or a final season before it arrived on the table. We got the lamb pasty which was dry, the carrot and red cabbage salad which had no dressing or seasoning to speak of and the coconut soup which could have used a good crack of salt and pepper. Coffees were fine. To be fair the pastries were delicious and if I were to come back it would be for them. Service was also a bit sharp and unfriendly and I’m not sure if this was due to our waitress being left to handle the place alone and therefore being stressed or that she just plain didn’t want to be there. Either way, would probably pop in for a pastry and a coffee if I was in the area again but it would not be in even my top five choices for the area.

I had the three course, Pinks at Home takeaway last night and everything about it was delicious! Quality menu and food. Excellent antidote to the situation we all find ourselves in. Well done, again, to the girls at Pinks !

Great coffee, orderable at non-standard temperatures. Basic cafe fare done well. Their ingredients are high quality, locally sourced stuff (judging by their bacon and salad leaves). Highly recommended.

I thoroughly recommend a visit to this cafe. Friendly staff, super clean, and delicious food. I had the apple and olive oil cake, with maple syrup icing. Outstanding.

Lovely new cafe at Dovecot Studios. Run by the hugely experienced team behind Pinkerton's Catering. The space is light and airy and the food is delicious. We had lunch there (The best cheese scone I've had for a long time!) followed by excellent coffee.

Nice cuppa and a slice of carrot cake. The surroundings have an artistic vibe (this is the cafe inside the textile museum) and the staff were friendly.

Loved this place! Food and coffee is amazing and the space looks very nice. It is situated in a calm street and also having the expo space with the little store attached is nice.

Tucked away off the main drag. The food was great and the staff were very kind to us.

Best salad of mozzarella, prosciutto and toasted walnuts. So.Good.

Mushroom and garlic soup was a bit insipid. Sandwich was ok.

Docecot Cafe yes staff pleasant clean and friendly just a bit yuppy. This was the old Infirmary Street Swimming bath site now turned into a exhibition hall. Try to remember there are townies left in the area and when we ask for a coffee we dont know we need to ask for a tall coffee. What is that pretentious rubbish. A tall coffee in the Dovecot Cafe is actually just a normal coffee anywhere else.

I loved this place, I made a very random selection of the menu and it came to me very delicious..... I had the banana bread and peanut butter with seeds ( where I didn't try it ever before and there are no pics for anything in the menue) with freah raspberries and blueberries and a cappuccino..... Its sooooo delicious.... Coffee also is yummy and the staff are really friendly

One of my favourite coffee shop in town. And it's right in the dovecot gallery, as a treat. One of the best soya milk cappuccino and lots of lovely cakes. Had sandwich here too in the past and they were always top quality and very filling. Would recommend

Very nice cafe with a clean decoration, cool atmosphere and very friendly staff. I've been here a few times and really enjoyed the soup and the coconut bread. The bagel was not my favourite though (but the only meal which I remembered to take a picture of).

Very nice cafe, serving a lovely range of soups, sandwiches and tasty cakes. Great for lunch after a day in town, visiting the exhibitions here or at the nearby National Museum of Scotland.

I've been to many of the cafes in the surrounding area and the Dovecot Cafe really is fantastic. There aren't many cafes which do coffee of this quality and the gluten free variety of sweet treats is something that Edinburgh is greatly missing. To top it all off the atmosphere is great and the staff are super friendly. I will definitely be coming back.

With Dovecot Cafe, you can enjoy a bite to eat after taking in their exhibitions. The cliché artist’s lunch may be a cigarette and a coffee bu there you’ll get big chunky sandwiches, Artisan Roast coffee and some seriously good cakes. (Well, they got the coffee bit right anyway!) Myfavourite? The light and fluffy Victoria Sponge and a mouth-watering Snickers millionaire shortbread.
