DOUGH&co Woodfired Pizza Bury St Edmunds in St Edmundsbury

We went as a last minute meal , we were concerned as only one other couple in restaurant but thought give it a try . So glad we did we had a pizza each and they were lovely cooked to perfection hubby had some extra toppings and they were generously added to the pizza now my only gripe please add pineapple as an extra I love pineapple on my pizza and please do a pepperoni calzone and u r my go to pizza restaurant.

Went in today for lunch with my partner and daughter, I found the waiter a bit rude... My daughter who turned 18 in May offered her ID, to be told she was only just 18????? She's 18 on her birthday end of ... There's no only just so that didn't sit well, then the offer on the board outside advertised cocktails 2 for 1... He wasn't going to mention it because he still thought she was too young for two???? Then after well over 30 minutes no one came to get food order ... We were totally ignored so we paid for our drinks and left... NEVER will we return... Food looked good but I'll never get to know what it actually tasted like.

We had terrific pizzas here, delicate dough and flavorful. Just like we had in Italy. I don’t know why it wasn’t crowded but possibly because we went early. Nice jazzy music and warm atmosphere. Nice spicy olive oil for drizzling was great. We would certainly go back and it was exactly what we were looking for.

We had an average meal here. The starters were a mistake. Deep fried dough balls, chewy, huge portions and not enough dipping sauce. The pizzas lacked enough sauce and vegetables, so again seemed dry. The restaurant was practically empty but we were seated next to another couple who were very, very loud and the lack of privacy spoiled our meal.

Had a really nice meal here with my wife. Lovely fresh food, good service and decor. We enjoyed dough triangles, pasta, pizza and salads and all were really good. Many thanks for great meal out!

It was 9pm on a Sunday evening. We popped in to Pizza Express and were told there was no more food. Bizarre! So, we literally walked out and went right next door to Dough & Co. We ended up leaving there having had a way better pizza than we would have got in Pizza Express. We thought the decor was more appealing and the food better. The service was very good as well. It wasn’t very busy, but it was a Sunday evening, so may be that would explain attentive service. But, at least they had food! Out of the two places, I would choose this one again over the other.

This was a takeaways Margherita with extra 1.5£ for the ham. Is almost ridiculous for the price also because the margarita is 13.50£

We visited this restaurant as a family of three for lunch today. It was a complete let down. Although the staff were friendly and attentive, it took 45 minutes for our three pizzas to arrive after ordering. The pizzas themselves were way too doughy, caked with flour and - I can’t stress this enough - incredibly bland. The dough was tasteless along with the tomato pizza sauce. For £45 for three pizzas and a (once again) tasteless garlic bread, I’d advise to give this place a miss. Pizza express, prezzo or even Weatherspoons - all down the same road do pizzas that are a million times better, and they arrive quickly too. The toilets were also pretty grim and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. We wont be returning.

Called in for lunch while shopping in the area. Staff friendly and helpful. Pizza nice with not a bad selection on offer, we both found one we liked. Cooked well and not burnt. Nothing not to like.

We both had a pizza each we expected a wait but we're served quite quickly. Exceptionally good pizzas nice friendly staff.

My first experience in the restaurant was pleasant together with my beloved and the service was wonderful as a very smiling young woman served me. The pizza was prepared quickly and the cappuccino was divine. See you next time thank you.

I was here whit my partner today fast and great service lovely kind workers. delicious pasta and pizza we had a tomato pasta and a high protein one and it was great. The cocktail was tasty to and the beer.Our waitress was fast and kind and really welcoming fabulous place definitely coming back.

I don’t tend to leave reviews, but I felt like I needed to today. My friend and I came to the restaurant today (Monday) just before 5pm and it was empty. It remained empty the whole time we were there. We were sat on the table nearest the kitchen and bar (and open back door). We ordered a starter to share of dough triangles and garlic butter, thinking this was dough balls. This turned out the be garlic bread, and butter so solid we could not scoop it with the bread. Then, my friend’s pasta arrived while she was still eating her starter. The waitress moved her starter out the way to place her food down in front of her, while she was mid bite. We then waited 5 minutes for my main, in the meantime I told my friend to eat as hers would go cold. The food was hot, but bland. We ordered profiteroles to share (we had to ask the waitress to give us more time as she took our dessert order almost immediately after our mains), and these were so stale we couldn’t finish them (which is saying a lot for us!). Throughout our meal, we felt watched by the staff, who were standing at the bar either on their phones or colouring something in. Because we were sat by the door, we froze. We were asked if we wanted to tip in such a way that my friend felt obligated to (that and the button to not tip was very small and easy to miss on the tablet). We were in and out within the hour, despite having three courses. This was a major let down, as the Dough and Co in Ipswich is fabulous. I won’t be back.

Excellent greeting, menu explanation I asked Few questions all answers made choices easier, well cooked, hot & very tasty. We had special date night deal everything was delicious and very good value, offered box to take away what we couldn’t eat, couldn’t fault a thing will definitely come back again
