Great Doubletree hotel, great location just over the road from Piccadilly Station 🙂 The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable 👍. The Bedroom Windows open which is good, but depending which side of the Hotel you are, street level noise can be an issue. Breakfast is pretty good, with the usual mix of Cooked stuff and Cereals, Fruit, etc. The Bar is nice, it's quite spacious with lots of TVs (so good for Sport 😉) and the Bar Service is quick 👍 The one downside of the hotel was when trying to get a Lift to your Bedroom, it took forever 👎 I understand the need to perform maintenance on the Lifts, but I don't understand why they took TWO of the three lifts out of service at once?? 🤦‍♂️ Aside from the lifts, it is a great place to stay whether for Work or Leisure 👍

Pros: - great location and access to inner Manchester - close to Piccadilly railway station - great staff - decent food Cons: - gym or "fitness center" is under-equipped (no barbells, dumbbells only go up to 22 kgs) - coffee is some of the worst I've ever had (including bottom-shelf instant coffees...)

Location is great, close to bars and restaurants and the gay village. Staff will try to accommodate the guests wherever they can! I was able to switch my room even though it was booked out ❤️ Rooms are clean and have all you need, could do with a little color or decoration.

Winnie very kindly arranged Balloon & goodies which gave a great personal touch to the occasion/stay & really hit that "Fabulous Customer Care" spot as I was away overseas. He made sure we had everything we wanted, we had a good chat and good laugh.Who take joy in providing great customer service. It really doesn't go unnoticed. Unfortunately I am updating my review and downgrading it (Nov 24) . I went to check in last week to be informed that all three lifts were broken and that my room was on the third floor. I said that due to a capability issue that wasn't suitable. The gentlemen on reception apologised but said they had emailed me during the day to tell me before I arrived. They had not. He asked me to check my spam. No email. I asked to see the email they had sent and nothing was forthcoming. They were either economical with the truth or incompetent. You have to wonder how all three lifts can be broken on the same day? Either they were indeed very unfortunate or perhaps need to look at a better maintenance schedule. I moved to the Holiday Inn over the road but am quite annoyed that the hotel thought they could fib me off. The Diamond desk was not much better and were unable to resolve the complaint which has caused me to reverse my previously good review of this hotel.

We've just had a fabulous night stay at the Double Tree Hilton. I used a Virgin voucher towards a one night stay with a bottle of prosecco 🍾 breakfast & late checkout. Unfortunately the lifts were not working but I asked for a room on the second floor which we were duly given. We were also given a voucher each for a free drink in the bar. All the staff were very helpul and friendly....All in all a very pleasant stay! 👍

This is actually a really good quality Hilton Hotel for the money. It is a 3 minute walk from Manchester picadilly. The breakfast is really good with a lot of variety and it's decent offerings for breakfast buffet that can set you up for the day. The staff are very professional and helpful and made my stay a real pleasure.

Great hotel we use whenever we have a layover in Manchester, great location to explore the city and very close to Piccadilly station for connecting. Beds are always really comfortable too!

Great location near Piccadilly, and the communal areas in the lounge, bar and restaurant are now really nice. The rooms are decent - what you’d expect for a Doubletree but missing the nicer touches of a full Hilton. Servicing of rooms can happen frustratingly late. Even though we’d asked if it could be done my midday, it was gone 16:00 one day when the room was serviced. The biggest issue is accessibility and the lift of you’re on an upper floor. Two lifts were out of order and third was worrying (the door close button literally fell down inside the button panel when someone pushed it). By the end of the stay, it was down to just the slow service elevator with long queues (sometime we had to let three full elevators go past before we could squeeze in). The gym was pretty decent for a Doubletree which was a pleasant surprise.

A lovely comfortable welcoming hotel

I have stopped in a few DoubleTree hotels and I have to say this is the best one by a long way. My review is for the standard King room. Outstanding finish to the room. Friendly welcome at reception. This is the first time in any hotel where I have seen USB-C sockets, very modern. There were a total of 7 USB charging points (4 USB-C, 3 USB-A) around the room so no shortage of places to charge your stuff. It had free wifi. It had a fridge, Iron, Ironing board, Safe, Hairdryer. The shower was nice and clean and lighting was very good in the bathroom. The room was of a good size and finished to a high standard. The windows do a great job of keeping the noise out. I have taken a few 360 degree photographs for google Streetview so you can look around the room, including the bathroom. If you download the Hilton Honours app then you can select your own room on a map the day before you arrive and even use your phone as a digital key so you don't need the plastic one. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone wanting an excellent quality hotel that is handy for the train station and the city centre. Its about 3 mins walk from Piccadilly railway station. I look forward to stopping in this hotel again in the future.

I stayed at this hotel a few months ago for a concert. Great location as only a few minutes from the train station. Good facilities and nice food. There was no bath (I prefer a bath over a shower any day) but I knew beforehand there wouldn't be a bath.

Good rooms. Crappy internet in the room. If you plan to do some work, you should consider another hotel. Good wifi in the lobby in a pinch. Only two lifts. Always queue.

Vinimos el viernes a la noche alrededor de las 7. El restaurante estaba casi vacío. La camarera era agradable, pero ella era lento (o tal vez tienen estándares diferentes, entonces otros restaurantes?) Hemos pedido bistec y pasta. Estaba bien.

Los 4 de nosotros tuvimos una buena cena aquí en una noche lluviosa. El asador pollo y el marisco Linguini eran muy buenos. Realmente no encontré ningún cangrejo en el Linguini pero parecía que usaban algunos calamares. La otra pareja tenía un sándwich de ensalada de pollo (pollo con algo de lechuga, no el estilo de América del Norte) y el pescado y patatas fritas. Todo muy bueno. El helado de caramelo salado y el pastel de pudín de chocolate (básicamente volcán de chocolate) con helado también fueron muy buenos. Nuestra comida con 20 botellas de vino tinto nos costó un total de 125 con IVA y tarifa de servicio. Tenga cuidado, la botella de agua aún cuesta alrededor de 4 y el pan cuesta 3. Servidores muy amables y atentos. Sí, nos quedaremos en DoubleTree (ver reseña por separado).

Nos alojamos aquí a menudo, ya que es un hotel precioso, sin embargo a mí personalmente me pareció que necesita mejoras un poco con extras como toallero eléctrico en el baño y una decoración más moderna. El menú para el servicio de habitaciones es un poco limitado demasiado comparado con otros hoteles en los que me he alojado.

My daughter and I had a lovely time here, it was clean, the breakfast was good, although we didn't spend a lot of time here as we were going to the Three Rivers gin experience it was a perfect base. Will certainly come back.

Su no justo enfrente de la estación de tren su piccadilly, pero es muy práctico para moverse por la zona. El personal era excelente y no podía hacer más por ti, me pareció la ciudad Bar era precioso y muy evocador, me volveré a alojar allí.

El hotel está idealmente situado para viajeros de tren frente la estación de Picadilly y a una corta distancia andando del centro de la ciudad; visitamos los mercadillos de Navidad y Barrio Norte.

Rápido y fácil registrarse con una cálida brownie obsequio del hotel, un buen detalle. La habitación era básica, pero estaba limpia. El desayuno era tipo buffet y en las mañanas me pidió té de la camarera y el camarero y dos mañanas recibí de café. La primera mañana, nadie vino a ver si me pago nada del menú que era una pena.

Nos solía venir aquí regularmente hasta hace un par de años y siempre me ha gustado mucho, así que pensamos que sería agradable volver teníamos algunos vales de regalo desde nuestra última visita. A nuestra llegada nos los superaban por el personal, el lugar estaba vacío. Un par de partidos llegamos más tarde, pero no poco que añadir a la atmósfera. Vino blanco estaba ordenados - vino tinto fue traído (notado esto sucedió en otra mesa también) y la cerveza que pedimos no estaba disponible. Reservamos una oferta en la web - 3 campos por £24 y sólo me dijeron que no estaba disponible, ya que era una oferta antigua. Honraron, de mala gana, cuando se señaló que no era a nosotros a mantener su sitio web actualizado! Teníamos la comida y la comida estaba buena, sabrosa y bien presentada. Llegó la factura y no se parecía al de la oferta y había una gran renuencia a aceptar nuestros cupones a pesar de que no la fecha de caducidad. Fuimos a recepción personal tres veces para comprobar qué debe ser pagado más que el gerente del restaurante, tomar la responsabilidad de solucionarlo. Pagamos lo que era debido y izquierda y su improbable volveremos, que es una gran pena ya que sin duda solía ser uno de los "tesoros escondidos" de Manchester.

Dinner was included with my room rate otherwise I probably wouldn't have eaten in the hotel. I'm certainly glad I did the staff were excellent and diners are offered a free drink if they dine before 7pm. The lamb was cooked to perfection.

Tasty cocktails to celebrate graduation day, was worth every penny. Something for everyone on the menu, music was a bit loud for us to hold a conversation. Staff were lovely and attentive.

Dinner was very good, and value for money at £17 for 2 courses. Plus because we ate before 7 p.m. we received a free drink also.

El desayuno era excelente, mucho mejor calidad que nuestros hoteles en los que nos hemos alojado. La única queja que tengo es la que nos pusieron una habitación contigua y el tipo (SUPONGO) en la habitación de al lado me despertó con su todopoderoso ronquidos a las 4 de la mañana. :O

City Cafe es un espacio bien diseñado, con mucha luz natural. El servicio está bien. El desayuno buffet es muy bueno, sin duda por encima de la media y una buena relación calidad-precio. La selección de fruta fresca es especialmente buena, y hay una gran variedad de jamones embutidos y salmón ahumado. El buffet caliente ofrece todos los estándares, pudin negro. Las salchichas eran de baja calidad aunque... sería bueno ver algunos bangers más premium. Puede ser huevos revueltos están disponibles en el buffet, pero otros tipos de huevos ordenados.

The venue looks ok, but don't be fooled. I asked for a steak medium rare which was neither medium or rare and and was pointless Avoid if you like a good evening meal but if subway is closed then eat here.

Vine aquí el sábado como grupo grande. Cuando llegamos nos dijeron que sólo tienen la mesa por 1 hora y 30 minutos, no era aconsejable si esto cuando hicimos la reserva. La chica nos dijo que luego puedes ir en la barra lateral después.

Fuimos para el té de la tarde, el servicio era inexistente, tuvimos que esperar 15 minutos antes de que un camarero vino a la mesa. Pedimos el té de la tarde, los bocadillos eran rancios y no tenía sabor, variedad de pasteles muy básico, dieron elección lo que podría haber. Bollos muy seco. Tuve que llamar varias veces antes de finalmente camarero vino a proporcionar el té. Definitivamente no recomiendo, sé que era más barato que la mayoría de los tés de la tarde, pero eso no excusa el mal servicio o inferiores de la comida. No me dieron oportunidad de ofrecer recomendaciones. Fueron lo suficientemente rápido para sacar dinero para el pago.

Thought there wasn't a huge choice on the menu. Although the food we chose was freshly cooked and delicious. Seemed to take their time to serve drinks. Our server was attentive and friendly.

Amazing views from the 23th floor. I went here with my French friend. The bar is not bad but could improve better. The staff not very professional but very friendly. I think the only thing they sell is the name and the views.

16 th de la hija, no podía llegar en Cloud 52 porque un grupo grande. Es difícil de encontrar algún signage to access fuera ayudaría. El té de la tarde era mucho más barato que el bar de nubes (obviamente porque no se encuentra en la planta 52) disfruté los tranvías de metro que pasan. Los baños están muy limpios. El servicio muy bueno. La comida era muy buena. Los niños también versión más pequeña es una buena idea.

2 mins walk from piccadilly station. Accepts hilton honours, arrived late, upgraded room, free minibar, and complimentary drink. Hotel is on par with any hilton, my only issue was the huge bed that kept separating in the middle.

The buffet breakfast is in the top ranks of most UK hotels, only let down by the inability to clear tables and keep some food items topped up at the busiest times. Overall, a good breakfast (and surprisingly only £10 if you need to pay).

Staying for the weekend wanted to eat here on Friday but after being told we need not book they could not give us a table as they had people arriving from airport that was closed due to snow however we dined else where and decide to eat here on Saturday the waiter said we could not sit on any of the tables near the window even though the restaurant had 2 tables occupied (20 minutes later he let someone else sit there!!!) He knew nothing anything about any of the dishes on the menu,

Normalmente no comer en restaurantes del hotel, pero llegué tarde y lo único que quería era una comida. El City Cafe- no debe confundirse (que anteriormente no) con la Urban Cafe en el mismo hotel Doubletree - es mejor. No sólo tienen un menú interesante, también tienen especialidades diarias. Porque mi mujer es luz caprichoso, pude disfrutar de un poco de ella plato así y sólo puedo decir que todo lo que sabía era genial. Sí, se agrega una tarifa por el servicio, pero merece la pena por la experiencia.

El hotel es sencillo, remodelado, pero estan muy bien las habitaciones e instalaciones. Ademas esta bien ubicado. Las camas eran muy comodas, con buena calefaccion y servicio de habitacion. Yo volveria a este hotel en esta ciudad.

Comí aquí porque estaba lloviendo y no quería salir por la lluvia. Estoy contenta de haberlo hecho porque era encantador. El personal era muy amable y servicial y me dio el menú del restaurante, aunque yo estaba sentado en el bar.

Estuvimos en este hotel del 30/12/2015 - 01/01/2016. Estábamos en un vuelo temprano y llegamos al hotel a eso de las 9 de la mañana. Al llegar nos recibió Tareq en recepción. Preguntamos si podíamos dejar nuestras maletas con ellos hasta la tarde ya sabíamos que estábamos demasiado temprano para el registro. Él era extremadamente servicial y dijo que eso no era ningún problema. Él también nos dio todas las galletas (para deleite de mi hija de 11 años! ). Habíamos reservado dos habitaciones para dos noches en régimen de sólo alojamiento. Nos dijo que por 25 libras por noche por habitación que podría ascender a nuestras habitaciones incluyen temprano (inmediatas) entrada, desayuno para todos los huéspedes y registro de salida más tarde en el día de la salida. Como habíamos planeado para tomar el desayuno en el hotel de todas maneras ( £10 por persona por noche) decidimos utilizar esto. También nos dieron cupones para una bebida gratis en el bar del hotel. Nos dieron nuestras habitaciones enseguida, lo cual nos permitió para refrescarnos antes de comenzar el día. Las habitaciones estaban limpias, espaciosas y modernas, con todas las comodidades modernas incluyendo seguro, botellas de agua de cortesía, tabla de planchar y acceso a internet wi-fi. Desayuno en el hotel era precioso con algo para todos los gustos y artículos extra preparado a pedido. El bar del hotel es moderno y cómodo, con canapés servidos con nuestras bebidas gratuitas. Precioso hotel, gran personal y magnífica ubicación. ¡Volveremos!

Visitamos aquí para celebración de cumpleaños y restaurante, previamente contratado, del hotel antes de visitar. Tenía ganas de relajarse cerca de hotel, comer en el restaurante y tener unas copas en Manchester antes de relajarse en habitación. A nuestra llegada, nos informaron de que el restaurante estaba cerrado a las 5 de la tarde y nuestra reserva había sido cancelado. Todo ello sin ser informado. GRAN bienvenida!

No me puedo quejar de este hotel. Sólo estuvimos una noche, pero el personal era siempre agradable y servicial. Las instalaciones son las que usted podría querer, aunque quizás el (twin) habitación pudo haber sido un poco más grande, el baño era precioso, impecable y!!. selección fabulosa en el desayuno, se lo ha pensado en todo.

Bonita habitación, nos dieron una suite por un pequeño precio. Nevera en la habitación y zapatillas determinen y bata. No es mala. Las bebidas en el bar caro, más de £9 por un vodka con coca-cola doble. El desayuno muy bien, mucha variedad de frutas, peajes, tostadas, hot selección, mermeladas, etc.
