Dosa Kada in Croydon

Dosa was good and better than most chains but service was so slow. There wasn’t many people in the restaurant but maybe because of deliveries etc.

Always felt that this place has a good authentic south India Food. Good location, polite staff, nice and easy food. Probably in very few places in Croydon where they serve fresh juices. There is a huge scope for improvement on the cleanliness side, a little more efforts on having something to keep young customers busy like a crayon and paint sheets, lollies etc. Parking is a nightmare if you can’t find a space around the area. Bus stop is literally outside the place.

Tasted chole kulcha. It was delicious but tooooo expensive..

Tried the masala dosa at Dosa Kada, and it was amazing! Crispy on the outside, soft inside, and the potato filling was perfectly spiced. The chutneys and sambar were fresh and delicious. Definitely better than other dosa spots nearby. The service was quick, and the place was clean. Will visit again👌

Worst service no respect for customers.

Went with friends to have food here Saturday evening. The orders were taken and then post 5 mins we were informed certain items have ran out. We ordered for tea only to realise the tea is not even freshly made in a South Indian restaurant. It was an instant tea made of out ready to drink packets. Which was shocking.. order for mains and then again post 10 mins I was informed they ran out of curries. I had to cancel my order and as an excuse I was informed that there is only one chef hence they are struggling. Not sure if I would visit again because if I am ready to spend money and time it better be worth it

Even though there are lots of space they tried to club every customer in a confined space. The food is not value for money especially the pongal and vada as it comes as a kids portion for £9.45 - £10. For the fresh sugarcane juice that we got it tasted like it was diluted and the fresh orange juice had a taste of pomegranate flavour (don’t know if the same utensils were used). I wouldn’t blame the service they are trying their best. But definitely would not come back to this store

I have visited this restaurant with my friend many times. I always ordered masala dosa. But this time it was much smaller than usual. I was very disappointed. I mentioned this to the staff. I will never visit this restaurant again.

It was very worst experience I had yesterday. I ordered special chicken 65 biriyani I got only the rice with 2 small chicken pieces. Then I contacted them and informed about this they can’t do anything. I paid £30 for 3 biriyanis, I lost my money. Very very worst service

Very nice meal and lovely mango lassi all combined with sweet service. We also got a complimentary oat Greek yoghurt to take home! How nice!

It was the worst experience. We waited almost an hour for the food as we had to tell them we would leave if the food was not going to come in 5 min .Poori masala is just bland mashed potato & poori pressed like parata. Chilli chicken is awful,we had to waste the food .

I ordered one vegetable beriyani before i buy i ask them about quantity they show me big container but its not full with rice. Rice was good in test but no enough quantity as per price it was my first experience with them.

We recently dined at this wonderful Kerala Indian restaurant in West Croydon, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The food is exceptional, with a focus on authentic South Indian flavors. The dosas were perfectly crisp and flavorful, the Paneer Tikka was tender and well-seasoned, and the Chole Bhature was simply divine—rich, hearty, and satisfying. The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The ambience is also lovely—warm, inviting, and perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. If you’re in the area and love South Indian cuisine, this place is a must-visit! We’ll definitely be back soon.

Very bad food, simply waste don’t try.

Very bad service and very dirty they are all over I struggled to order this is my last time not a place to eat or Oder they guide you to sign up which is far expensive the floors are so dirty health and safety zero customers wait no body comes to check on them

We came to Dosa Kada as Google recommended us for a nearby indian restaurant. We had the South Indian breakfast buffet. The food was really amazing and satisfying, especially the idly, an appam (idk it's name), and kesari. Their coffee was the best I’ve had in a long time, even though I usually drink tea. All of that was for a cheap rate, around £12. Will come back with family in the future.

Worst Prawn fried rice and worst curd Vadai, felt miserable after eating. Never order these two. 🤢

Very Worst customer service and speaking rude behavior that lady.......

We ordered chilli paneer and chicken 65 and 3 masala dosas . The starters were served in a plastic black tray as small as my palm with literally 5-6 pieces of small chunks of deep fried , woody chicken. The starters were overpriced , £10 each and portions were amazingly less quantity. Its a shame that they are charging £3.50 for a cold drink however others are charging max £2 for that. The chicken 65 was stale, cold and reheated and the taste was really bad and it was chewy as a rubber and it had not a single curry leaf as the chicken 65 is fried and then tossed in a thick tempering. The cutlery was unclean and the glasses were spotty. Uff … a real bad experience. The only saving grace was dosa and that too i bet they can give a reheated one if they can . My friend insisted on trying their FALOODA which was another joke . It was rose flavoured milk topped with spray cream and sprinkled . PATHETIC.. They should visit a few of PAKISTANI restaurants in tooting to see how they serve their food and how rich flavours are created. My friend also found a hair in her DOSA which was a shame. Not going ever again and certainly not recommended.

We have been patrons of this sweet little Kada/eatery for quite some time now and the food and service has never let us down. I like it that they have a breakfast menu with set items which I guarantee will blow your tastebuds. Most of the experience is enhanced by the attitude of the young lady namely Tharshi I believe but forgive me if I am wrong in with the name, is such a darling soul. I always believe that the hand feeding you should be selfless and compassionate and this lady has just that! We loved the breakfast tiffin which contains small portions of many different breakfast items and the chicken masala dosa my son devoured ordering another! Because it was after 12 Falooda drink was served and was yummy! Thank you for today till next time!

Once visited, will never visit again. Ordered masala tea with other food. They just added water in "instant tea mix" which is available in market and served. I paid 3 pounds for a tea which is available in 30 cents in any grocery shop. Food was also tasteless.

Excellent service and friendly staff. Family loved the food served and wasn't too spicy. Pocket friendly and will visit again for sure for the great food and ambience.

The food was so cold, not even lukewarm. They have a big menu but hardly have anything available. The service is horrible, the staff didn’t know about food and suggested the non-vegetarians food is vegetarian. They’re luring in people without having any good food. They’re servers are so unprofessional that they came up to pick up the plates when I wasn’t even finished eating and took the plates away. Don’t visit for your sanity!

I order food online from dosa Kada website and I am very happy I got my food before expected time and the packing was really good and food was hot until reach home thanks for the great good

Visited restaurant for Sunday lunch. It took atleast 15 mins to serve Idly and dosa. We ordered filter coffee and had to cancel the order because they said it will take long to serve. Challenge to find parking near by.

Today I visited for lunch first time in Dosa Kada I got south Indian food in UK after long time.food was very tasty and I enjoyed my time with my family,service from staff was very fast and friendly.

I love the food and environment, first time I visited here for dinner with my family specially biryani and dosa is excellent and we got mini idly for kids as well . Highly recommend this restaurant definitely come back again.

Worest behaviour I seen in my life I'm ever seen

Firstly, this restaurant is only for beggars not for foodie lovers, worse experience. Waste of money..they are changing too much but the quality is very very low..I can say below 0 taste. I want to give 0 star rating..do not go to this restaurant unnecessarily you will have to pay high for worse food.. Secondly, the service is very bad and my bathroom is better than this hotel ambience.. Thirdly, I ordered chicken dum biryani, first time I had faced worse experience in entire my life I blindly seen ratings and went there so I did mistake..so don't do the same..

Waiting time is too long for just 2 items. When asked about the ticket times when it’s exceeding 25mins. They were not apologetic however they’ve given the wrong time and was acting rude towards customers. Food is good but the service is not recommendable.

Went coz of their Southindian Menu and it's was definitely amazing and worth the hype! Kizhi Briyani was mouthwatery with the flavour packed with Banana leaf. The Highlight, however was the special Motka kulfi, which was arguably one of the best I've had.

Nice place to go with family for a veg and non veg food. Staff are so polite and humble. Would like to recommend friends to visit this place.

We had a Breakfast buffet on a Saturday morning, one of the best South Indian buffets in Croydon.

Poor service, poor cleaning, food was not even as good as an average Chennai/South Indian restaurant. After I expressed my dissatisfaction and unresponsiveness in service, the waiter just nodded head and went away.

Recently I went there to give a try just because of high ratings in the area. Ambiance was nice and I ordered few things as I liked as per there specialty “south india” the thing is for South Indian Sambhar is the main thing you will get with most of the menu items but it was missing chunky veggies, curry leaves and morringa sticks in it and the tangy signature taste in it they need to improve a lot for that. People are making hype, it was not that bad but still 50-50 kind of taste wise. Can try for once not going for repeat without improvements of taste. As I ordered Mysore masala dosa it was not that crispy as it should be like crunchy batter and gobhi 65 was plain no spice or amazing on its own, and Dahi vada should be cold not at room temperature like for soothing feel. And as always you need more or repeat sambhar or chutney they are not going to give any sufficient quantity just as little this is not the way for reaping for the dosa. I have been to lots of South Indian restaurants it was not up to the mark for me.

Worst experience ever.we have ordered 7 meal. Every meal delivered us between 20 minutes gap. We can't have food altogether. Regular coke ,Fanta, sprite no available I'm not blaming the staff but the management was terrible

There are some positives and some negatives. It's good that we could get South Indian foods, but the taste could be better. We tried idly and podi dosa. The idly was good, but the podi dosa was not that good; it was too spicy. I had another bad experience. I ordered my breakfast from their website. They called and said they don't do deliveries in the morning and asked me to collect it or arrange an Uber driver. Then I had to ask them to cancel the order, and it took 10 days to get my refund.

We had a splendid experience with food and service at this restaurant in Croydon. Dhrumi was very helpful and letting us know the available choices. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in London.

It was my first experience with Dosa Kada and the food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. Dosas made up with ghee and they were delicious. We tried Paneer curry with paratha, it was so amazing!! The staff here truly cares about their guests and I specially Thanks to Shruti who made our first experience so special. She also recommend us some dishes and it was amazing.! All the staffs were attentive, courteous, and polite. They made us feel like VIPs

I came to buy a plain dosa for take away. They took almost 15-20 mins to bring it. It is actually sunday morning, where the shop was less than 1/4 of its tables are filled.

Overall Best South Indian Food experience in Croyden. Loved the food and service. Fairly priced too.

Had a Chennai feel this Sunday, when I found the restaurant was open as I was passing by. Had hot pongal which was very authentic and tasty. You don't find a Indian restaurant open so early in London. Service is great, timely and friendly. I have frequented this place often with family, thumbs up for the authentic South Indian food you get here. Highly recommended. Raj

Food is OK, but it is overpriced. Almost like central London or Michelin star rates. Also, we need to bear in mind the high parking charges in the Borough. Sorry, but I will not be visiting again. There are better quality restaurants in Tooting.

Had a fantastic time at Dosa Kada today. I went for breakfast and they have a buffet option. Dosa, Idli, Kesari Bath, Upma, Vada etc.. Taste is great.

Food was awful . There is no hot water or soap to wash hands in toilet . I won’t recommend this place for my friends .

Weird rules for the place. The food was okay. The parotta seemed like the one from haldirams frozen selection, same size too, so 1 paratha for the cost of the entire packet.

Service is too bad and slow. Waited more than 1 hours from 8:15PM. They say 20-25 minutes prep time. It may take longer in busier times. However, 1 hour to get first starter is too much. After waiting that long what ever they throw on to your plate , you don’t enjoy the food rather try to leave that place as soon as possible. Quantity for that price is not reasonable . Unless you want to leave hungry and stay starving by spending a lot , visit this restaurant. Example: A small scoop of pongal is £9:49? This is not Michelin star restaurant for those hefty prices . Not worth unless you want to try cheap buffet ( advertised never tried but heard that buffet is also not worth). Price is fine if the service , ambience, and food quality is extraordinary as in Michelin star restaurants. Unfortunately, these guys don’t have competition in the area hence this monopolistic behaviour.

Food is awesome. Mysore masala dhosa and rava onion dhose are my favourite. And the staff is so well trained and responsive. Definitely try once. And yes don't forget to have a Kulfi in the end.

I ordered food on dosa kada website the delivery was not done by delivery time.it took 2.30 hours.the staff gave irresponsible answers.i asked many times to speak with manager no response given.i strongly don’t recommend this website.worst delivery and response

Good south indian food but sambhar is watery and lack Indian flavor. The chicken 65 we ordered was Yack.. filter cofee was so so.. i can make better filter copy. Can go to this restaurant if no option is available. Paan i bought was poor and waste of money.

absolute rip off, ordered a Marsala dosa and a Ghee Roast through Deliveroo, the portion size I got was small, will never order from this place!! Chennai Rosa is a much better place!!
