Dosa Express in Brent

Asked for aubergine stir fry....and the staff said that they could not make it as for their own under serving purposes......but still went through an effort of buying it fresh from the the supermarket and making it! And results were scrumptious 😋.... Was very Happy with their service!

Ordered Manchurian taste was very bad feeling like eating water can't recommend to eat again

Truly disappointing experience. The restaurant was not busy but the waiter still did everything apart from serve their customers. They were too busy talking to eachother in the kitchen. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated when there were many free tables and no queue. Furthermore, had to wait an extra 20 minutes for the server to come take our order. The dosa came before our starters even though we asked for it to be a mains dish. The pani puri and sev puri was soggy likely due the server not serving it. The drinks came after we finished the food and the food itself wasnt the greatest. Wouldnt recommend this place to others

I ordered veg biryani , it was over spicy with whole spices and not at all eatable. Only flavour of whole spices and salt. Very bad test can’t even a spoon.

They started to sell dosa for £1, which boosted their customer base. Now they increased price to £3 and masala dosa for £4.95. Considering economic crisis, you can increase the price. But quality remains same rubbish. If I pay another £1, I could get excellent masala dosa from saravana bhavan. (People praising this place for best dosa. I think they never had proper South Indian dosa in their life. Honestly they should try Saravana bhavan dosa). They sold me two small samosa for £2.95. Ffs, I thought it’s big Punjabi samosa for the price mentioned. But when I received order it’s two little filthy crap 😂😂 Honestly guys, if you pay £1 per item, you could get proper nice quality food from other restaurant. This restaurant kitchen sucks. I had order garlic dosa for takeaway when I start eating the dosa the garlic was raw after that when u call to the restaurant they told me that we make like this only how can someone eat raw garlic in dosa they are just making fun of the customer

When I ordered specific item they delivered totally different items. I didn’t mentioned for any extra spicy or put extra ingredients in my dosa still This restaurant made my order too spicy without asking and delivered totally different order. Restaurant Manager from Ealing road branch also don’t know, how to deal with customer.

The food was delicious and the portion sizes were very filling, I would repeat again. Two of the dishes I ordered weren't sealed properly so some sauce and oil did spill a bit, but this wasn't an issue.

We had Dosa & fried Rice here. Dosa was Delicious, Rice was average. better to buy Dosa in Dosa express.Ambience is ok ok.

I recently visited Dosa Express in Wembley with a friend, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We ordered Sambhar Wada, Idli Sambhar, and chai. The sambhar was exceptional - full of flavour and perfectly spiced. The coconut chutney was absolutely amazing, complementing the dishes beautifully. And the chai? Top notch - just what you’d expect from an Indian restaurant. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I highly recommend Dosa Express for anyone craving authentic South Indian cuisine!

Dosa Express has seriously gone down hill since I last visited. Food prices have increased considerably, and although the place has gone through a partial refurb, it was filthy. When we entered just before the dinner rush, tables were filthy, food all over the floor. There were several tables available but we had to wait for one to be cleaned before we could sit. And even after the table was cleaned, the chairs and floor weren't cleaned or wiped down. I was surprised this place has a 4* hygiene rating. The only redeeming aspect was the speed of service and food. We were waited to in 5 minutes and food was served to the entire party within 20 minutes. We weren't attended to after receiving food, i.e. to check if we needed anything else or if the food was good. --- Original review --- The main good thing about this place are the prices - one of the cheapest restaurants to eat in Wembley. Service is slow and poor - we've been here several time now (mainly because of the food and price), and with each visit the food was either slow to arrive (taking over 30 minutes, which is appalling for a fast food restaurant), or they missed an item from our order. In terms of food, there is a large variety of dishes on offer, all at very reasonable prices. When the food does arrive, it's hot and fresh. If this place had better service, I would eat here more often. Sometimes you will get your order quicker if you order take-away, instead of dinning in.

Despite mentioning food wasn't not prepared correctly as it should have been, restaurant owner or quality control manager simply denied the fact. It is simply ridiculous food I have ever received. Just can't eat and can't recommend any further. When asking for refund as it wasn't the value for money restaurant simply denied and outrageously not ready to accept the feedback. I'm done. Period.

I recently visited Dosa Express, and it was one of the most frustrating dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. Despite being a casual eatery, the wait times were absurd. We were left waiting for over **an hour**, and it wasn’t even a busy day. What made matters worse was the **pathetic service**—the staff seemed indifferent, barely acknowledging the delay, and when we asked for updates, they were either rude or dismissive. There was absolutely no sense of urgency or customer care. To top it off, when the food finally arrived, there was no apology or explanation for the delay. It felt as though they were **shamelessly careless**, with no regard for the customers. The experience was a complete disaster from start to finish. If you're looking for a place with decent service or respect for your time, **Dosa Express is NOT it**.

Service by Kavin was very good. He was friendly. Food was spicy and good.

The food was average, not good quality at all. The coconut chutney had gone stale and when we spoke about it to the owner, he accepted it but they didn’t have another fresh chutney so they continued serving the same to everyone. Edit: after reading the review, the owner walked up to me and said they have made new chutney and serving the new one to customers. Offered me if I wanted to taste, but I didn’t want to. The fact that they continued to serve the chutney after we reported until they made a new one shows if they take their customers seriously or not. I am not in going to this place again.

When it's a busy day, their food especially chutneys will be really good. Otherwise, the food is Average. Not worth the hype. But a good spot to eat when you crave South Indian food. Also I'm not satisfied with their service and their toilet is not hygienic. If they make some changes, it would've been fine.

We had been to this place for a family dinner. The customer service was inattentive. The quality of the food was not at par with what would one expect to eat in London City. The prices did not reflect in the quality or the ambience or in the customer service.

Excellent food and prices are reasonable

We ordered 4 dosas , but not a singlre dosa was hot.. even after complaining thrice , manager was saying that we made that dosa and gave it to you straight forward... how is it possible that you give it out of tawa directly and it's cold as ice.!!!!

I asked for black salt and they refused me, I know it was but still they have to take care about that I don't appreciate that I am the regular customer and I also references to other but now I really disappointed.

Today I come for the Pani Puri the test was good but that girl who always server the Pani Puri I don't like her behaviour specifically she is not able to work in busy time . Very busy.. 1 dosa takes 45 minutes.. Some of the dosa Chef don't know how to make. 🤣 One giving order they told it will take 30 minutes but it took 45-50 minutes..which is very much . And after that they told if you want to cancel the order that's fine.. no problem.. very bad service.. no happy..

The C2 O G2 was not as spicy as expected. The menu should have the ingredients listed per item, this is a huge oversight, as many in the UK has allergies unlike in India.

1️⃣I always order chaomian and I liked it but my friend found out that it has detergent flavour and I realised it later because my taste buds is weak. Will not order chaomian any more until they don’t keep chaomian ingredients near the toilet detergent. But the quantity is really good. 2️⃣The pav phaji is not authentic at all. Seriously I didn’t find any mush potatoes at all! And the flavour is not like pav phaji at all. Also the portion is so less. 3️⃣The dabeli is really good but my Indian friend said that she has tasted better than this. And It’s too spicy. 4️⃣The falooda’s taste is so bad and artificial even it’s not cheap at all! Warning: Don’t order falooda here, it’s literally a waste of several pounds. 5️⃣When I eat in, it’s really cheap but when I order online, it’s not cheap and even the quality is so less.

I love the dosa variety at this restaurant, but I'm not so sure about the other options. The pav bhaji doesn't taste authentic – it has too much oil and garam masala and lacks the genuine bhaji flavour. Additionally, the Hakka noodles have an odd aftertaste[like soap or detergent ]. While the South Indian food is excellent, I don't think the other options are worth trying.

Definitely the food is very good. This time our experience was bad in food and customer service. We went and ask to take our order but they said they now taking order on counter only. But they took the order of other customers from their table. This was unexpected. We odered chhole puri which came from outside not from their kitchen. Everytime I order dosa and whenever I order for extra chutney and sambhar it always comes late. Today also the table cleaning was the first priority instead of customer service.

Worst food ever and The manager is with and attitude,I have order Vegetable schezwan noodles and I get it worlds worst noodles with sweet in it and they took it back and still charge for it. I have never seen like this before. Request you to taught manner to the staff and give at least eatable food.

Overall 3.75/5 I was really excited to visit this place as i had heard a lot, but was surprised and disappointed with the overall experience. Location: walkable from Wembley central station. Ambiance: decent budget friendly vibes and seating. Service: now this is where things start to take a dip, the staff was kind of uninterested in welcoming guests or even treating them well. Food: ordered the famous medu vada(3/5) too soggy and dripping with oil. Mysore masala dosa( on suggestion) (3.75/5) average taste and chutneys were the tastier than expected. Quite weird for them to charge for extra chutney unlike every other south Indian serving restaurant. Only serving grace was the filter coffee: strong and good taste. Overall, half decent experience for a budget friendly meal, might not repeat.

The dosa is a delicious South Indian crepe, crispy on the outside and soft inside, made from fermented rice and lentil batter. It's perfect with chutney and sambar for a flavorful meal.

Best place for Dosa lovers.. variety of different Dosa's.. gives you the best feel of south Indian taste.. excellent 👌👍

We decided to visit this place because there is a huge queue every day. Pani puri was good, a big plus is that there are different sauces in bottles outside and you can use as much as you want. Samosa chaat was a very small portion, I've had better but it was still ok and freshly made. Prices are affordable and very often I see different promotions/combos.

Absolutely disappointed with Dosa Express! Their food is undeniably delicious, which makes this review even more frustrating. We booked them weeks in advance for an important event, and they had the audacity to cancel on us at the last minute. We even took the time to visit their store for a tasting session, which we paid for, to ensure everything would be perfect. To cancel on us so close to the event is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of reliability and professionalism. If you’re considering them for an important occasion, think twice. Their great food is not worth the risk of being let down when it matters most.

Muy mal servicio por los camareros. Sirvieron los entrantes con la comida principal, mi hermana pidió masala dosa y ella fue servida chile y cilantro masala dosa. Pedimos bhindi crujiente, pero teníamos bhindi bhajia y cuando lo llevamos a la atención de los camareros no estaban preocupados. No recomendaríamos este restaurante a nadie.

Food is terrible, I have ordered podi masala dosa and falooda, will never recommend it. Rose milk with 10-15 chia seeds doesn't make it falooda. Please learn before serving, because we pay for the food and it is not free. Disgusting.
