Made a last minute booking on a Friday night. The service, atmosphere and food were outstanding. They catered for no onion and garlic for our friends and the full works for me and the Mrs. The food was just exquisite. From the chilli garlic mushrooms and mogo to the paneer and honey potatoes, we filled ourselves up on the starters. We ordered the Kenyan tikka curry which was incredible and spicy! The only downside we could say were that the mocktails were not a hit - we got the caribbean mango which i wouldn't order again. However, I was happy to come back here after 6 years and will not wait so long to come again.

Excellent Quality food, - Spicy Taste of India!

Appalling restaurant, we had a meal which was fine but when we asked to takeaway the food they took the food and kept half of it for themselves. I assume they will add it to other people’s food. We actually counted 2 pieces of naan missing, 2 curries half missing, rice half missing. Terrible, avoid like the plague.

I ordered a takeaway and was charged £10 for picking it up very disappointed contacted the manager while I was picking it up who said he would take the £10 off my bill by crediting my bankcard. I never heard from him I rang again and talk to a colleague he said they would contact me. They never did very poor service although the food is good I shall not be going again and I would like to tell my friends beware you can be charged £10 to pick up your takeaway.

Hosted a one year event for my Group. I made all the arrangements over the phone and all the staff were accommodating and went above n beyond to fufil my needs inc special requirements. Set Menu loads of delicious food and in the day staff were friendly and service was really good too. We were the last ones to leave yet they waited patiently for us. Highly recommend this place.

Wheelchair ramp is available at the front with parking however, the doors are manually operated. I’ve been coming here for past 20yrs and never had issues. The interior is dated now and needs a bit of updating (in my opinion). I usually never get past starters menu but this time I did manage to! Everything I ate rated below; Chilli paneer - 6/10 (too sweet) Garlic Chilli Mogo - 9/10 (moreish) Chicken Tikka 8/10 (large portion) Fish tikka 7/10 (too sweet sauce) Lamb chops 2/10 (like leather, specifically asked for pink) Roti 8/10 (good standard) Methi Chicken 8/10 (good spice but needs more methi) Grilled fish 9/10 (cooked to perfection) Overall it was a good standard as long as you take it as it comes and I’m afraid the price point here only reflects‘supply and demand’ as I would’ve expected my chips to be as I requested. 2 x rounds of soft drinks and the food was £223 excluding tip so not the cheapest of eats and with so much competition around it does beg the question why they haven’t upped their game over the years as they are so popular…? Would I return here…only if I had a family meal to go to but I doubt I’d go there again off my own choice.

Amazing Indian food with excellent service. Restaurant has huge seating yet service was smooth and fast. All appetizer is a must try. We tried chilli mushroom and paneer chille it were out of the world.

No idea why this restaurant has such great reviews and is such a popular local restaurant. Have been visiting for many years and it’s always the same pre-prepared food which is literally warmed up and served without any care or attention. Many of the servers do not speak proper English and when questioning anything they love to talk back and argue and for this privilege they will happily slap on a service charge Particularly disappointing was the mixed grill which arrived very fast and very unimpressive for the intense and expensive price that they charge. Highly recommend avoiding this place

Had a special occasion celebration and it was extremely well organised. Guests and we had a lovely time. The starters stole the show as did the kulfi. Excellent quantity, quick service, smiling staff and good food. They could maybe think of getting something for such occasions as some restaurants do with a birthday song 🎶 but we already had our own cake 🎂 and loved it. Thank you BG team for a beautiful evening. Note: parking is an issue!

We recently had a family birthday celebration at Blue Ginger. I cannot fault the food or staff. Stafford was extremely help, he checked in with us on the day to ensure that it was going well and guided us with the menu. The service was great and the food was fab. Thank you Stafford and your staff at Blue Ginger. We’ll be back for sure!

Food was tastless blad and overpriced. We went in for quick bite to eat. A mix grill costs £32 ( for the price I would expect a sizzling mix grill with good quality meat and alot of flavour) It came out so fast the meat was clearly reheated, chewy and had no taste. ( even though we asked for spicy food) Not worth going here!

Nice atmosphere but food not testy.

Food was decent enough but service was all over the place-had to flag someone down everytime we wanted anything and everything took ages to come. Funnily enough when we asked for the bill 3 waiters were at the table to give us our bill and turn the table around for another customer.

Hosting my father's 75th bday at Blue Ginger. They have brilliant private rooms with music and screens. Food was delicious, service was great, thank you to Mr Stafford and the staff team.

Too good of a place to sit and enjoy any live sporting event. We saw the India Pakistan game and it was very well arranged! Starters had really good portion size and matched the taste levels as well. Slightly on the expensive side, but they compensate with the service. Must visit!

Friendly staff. Delicious food. Though personally the naan was thinner than I am use to, and the meat pieces could be smaller pieces, cut half when in the sauce/rice. The meat was succulent and full of flavour. Definitely a must to come back to try the other dishes. 😋

Food very tasty and excellent service

The food was great, the staff very friendly and accommodating, we had a medical presentation that went great the only thing is the floors were very sticky for some reason, it might have been the cleaning product used, because in the function room the floor was wooden and in the bathroom there were tiles 🤷🏼‍♀️ so different materials same issue.

Celebrated a close fronds 50th birthday there. Amazing experience. The food was lovely the arrangement was great and best is the service. We were loud, we were demanding, we were everywhere taking pictures but the staff always responded with a smile and supported all our demands! Lovely time! Thank you.

Had lunch here with a friend I had not seen for nearly 60 years. The restaurant is of high standard with plenty of seating and benefit of having its own parking area. The menu very extensive with lots of choice and the dishes described well so choosing one became easier. All the starters we ordered to share were delicious. The best part I liked was the fact that the chili heat was expressed by the number of chilles shown by the description of the dish. My friend and I enjoyed our Kenyan Tusker beer. The restaurant has areas where it caters for parties.

What a lovely place. Quaint, and seems loved by the community. The cocktails are fab. Busy on the weekends, but the quality stays the same.

We booked the restaurant for our schools reunion comprising 50 members. We were provided with back room for our group. The restaurant ambiance is good, well stocked bar and barman rushed to the till before being reminded that we had not finished ordering drinks for our group of five. We had Vegetarian/ Non-Vegetarian starters and similar main meals. Followed by desert Kulfi. The food trays were placed on a table with plates for each individual to help themselves. Those who were first in the queue table by table - had hot food, middle queue had warm food and those who were last in queue, the food was cold. Waiters did not come in to check the trays to refill and someone had to call them to do so. Surprising this large restaurant did did not have under tray heating - candle heated trays. Many members were disappointed and we will not be using this venue for our next reunion.

🍽️ Our friends insisted on trying this highly recommended Indian and Indian Chinese restaurant, but it turned out to be quite disappointing. 😞 🧀 We started with paneer chili, which was unexpectedly sweet. 🌶️ The standout dish was definitely the chilly garlic mushrooms — they were fantastic! 👌 🍛 As for the mains, most of the Indian dishes were either overly sweet or salty. 🥢 The veg Manchurian was overwhelmingly sweet, akin to a Gujarati sweet pickle chunda. 🍜 The Hakka noodles were lacking in salt. 🥟 Despite the naan being good and soft, the overall dining experience was mediocre. 🍬 Seems like the flavors veered towards the extremes of sweet and salty. 🍜 If you're expecting authentic Indian Chinese, be prepared for sweeter dishes. 🍬 The service was quick, and the manager took note of our feedback. 🕰️ However, I might not recommend this place; it seems like the quality may have declined over time. 🤷‍♂️

Stopped coming here for a while as I felt food was not what it used to be ... however, took a chance to go back again ... no regrets ... food is back to its amazing taste ... in fact went a second time in as many weeks with people who had never been there.

We recently booked a room at the Blue Ginger for a private function. Very happy to share that it was a very satisfactory experience from the booking to the quality of food and service. Coconut chicken curry was flavourful but the methi kebab was slightly dry. Draught range could be better, very limited options (no ciders available). Service could be better.

Went for Dinner tonight for my birthday with family. Food was good and tasty, esp the main curries. However, the portion size has gone down esp the starters so was pricey for what it was. Service was abit slow. Overall a 4 star, place needs redecorating

We enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day lunch with our extended family of 12. The tables were adorned with various sizes and shapes of Mother's Day balloons, which added a charming touch. Our selection of mocktails was excellent and wonderfully fresh. For lunch, we mainly opted for starters, followed by delightful desserts. The service was exceptional, with our waiter Shiv (if I recall correctly) always ready to assist. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and we would definitely visit again.

Delicious food, attentive, lovely staff. Definitely a place to re-visit. Curry dishes are enough for 2 people to share, as are the rice accompaniments. The grilled pomfret is amazing!! Repeat customers for sure.

Went for a birthday bash, and it was OK, everything was average, nothing exceptional or a great dish.

The manager rude, they brought starters and mains at the same time, refused to heat up the mains. Food taste very average.

Person with allergy there is no option at all he or she can’t eat anything. We were 12 people all eating and my son couldn’t eat anything because every food had gluten .

Always, if not, a solid choice in the area. We have been dining in this restaurant for years now. The level of quality is incredible and yes the prices have gone up but ingredients and service are of a high standard. Restaurant is very large and you will find a seat, don’t think we have ever booked before. You won’t be disappointed. Recently we have always been asked by the wait staff if we want to tip? Find this a bit strange and puts you on the spot. Otherwise always a pleasant dining experience.

Extremely poor customer experience last weekend (Sat 27th). Not enough car park space so had to find parking elsewhere. Booked a table for a family birthday and all started off well until the waiter accidentally dropped an entire pint of beer all over my partner who doesn't even drink alcohol, leaving her completely drenched and effectively ruining our evening. Although, there was apologies by the waiter and manager, and assistance with drying the area and my partner's coat, nothing else was done. My partner couldn't completely dry herself properly and was uncomfortable for the remainder of the evening, no word or effort from the staff to check up on her or if they could do anything to remedy the situation. The least I'd expect is to offer a discount or free meal and cover any costs of cleaning for clothes that might be needed. Nothing was done, so they are clearly inconsiderate and don't really care about their customers, especially when they screw up!! I wouldn't recommend this place based on this experience.

Food has recently been amazing here! Before it was a hit and miss for me but recently it’s consistently been so tasty and yummy! Service is good but a really loud atmosphere where where you can’t hear yourself soemtimes but overall great!

Foid used to be great however lately its been appalling! Portion sizes have are ridiculous. Cost of basic raw foods has come down but their prices hav carried on going up with portions almost none existent!! A complete ripp off! No customer service either.

Brilliant the selection of starters are unmatchable, quality is good 💯. Highly recommend the tandoori prawns, lamb chops,and lamb seekh kebab.service is good and food is still delicious and consistent. Well-done to the head chef and the team.

Did a takeaway from BG a complete ripp off. Won't be do that again. All portions are extra small in large boxes. 9 bhajia in a large box so just over £1.00 for 1 piece. When asked on the phone about this was told this is it take it or leave it! No customer service no apology what a load of rubbish!

I had a wonderful birthday dinner here, the service was absolutely excellent with the staff being very attentive to our group, clearing plates, glasses etc as the night went on and checking in if we needed anything else, all of the food was delicious and full of flavour, the garlic chilli paneer was the best I’ve ever had and the lamp chops were a favourite with everyone. We ordered a variety of dishes and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Was built up to be a special place, I thought it was OK, I liked the sports bar element, the food was good but nothing (for my tastes) that I couldn't surpass locally where I live.

Addition Jan 2024: went today and food was good and priced well. I've increased the rating from 3 to 4. Odd lighting. Weird strobing affect.

Not plesant experience at all. The place was overcrowded, overbooked with parties taking place left right and centre. You stood no chance of hearing even the person that was seated front of you. The food was horrible, the worst dhal I have ever tasted. No place to park, the car park was overflowing. Really disappointed. Won't ever go back and won't recommend.

It is a really good restaurant. Their appetisers are terrific, more than enough to sate your hunger. Their Blue Ginger, the namesake cocktail, is fabulous, not a strong flavour but definitely nice. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable

Honestly they just try to get more money with hidden charges for events and the food was very expensive overall £70 per person without alcohol when they advertised it at £23.5 Food was not that good and at the end if you don’t finish your meal, for which you paid £70, you’re not allowed to even take it home. Of course they have to reuse it for the next customers why else?! Disgusting!! Never eating there again and would never recommend!!!

Terrible service! Beware, they will rip you off! I went there for a party with the menu for 23.5 per person and ended up paying £70 and the ones who had alcohol paid a lot more. At the end they literally argued with us saying that the food we all had and touched and passed around and been staying there for hours on our table (mind you this was not a bouffet, we had individual menues) was not to be taken home. If we couldn't finish, they had to take it back. Why? Especially when I paid £70 for it?! Will never ever go back to this place or recommend it to anyone!! Stay away if you want tasty food and good service for the money you are paying, this is not the place!!!
