Dosa Express in Worthing

Very nice people, we did some work at the restaurant recently and I look forward to bringing my wife and family to eat there real soon!

Don't be deceived by the modest interior - the owner is welcoming, takes real pride in how food is prepared and serves authentic Sri Lankan dishes which are full of flavour.

It was not to our taste. Long delay in getting the food, and overall, it was average considering the price paid.

Tried this place today. The food was superb. Perfect level of spiciness and quick delivery. We loved the jack fruit curry, dal and my hubby loved the parotta with it. 5 stars!

Tasty hot food with Srilankan style

Use to love the food here but last night I got a vegetable biryani and it was rice and frozen veg (carrot, beans and sweet corn). No side curry dish. For £8 not good at all. Really poor quality. So disappointing. Wouldn't order again.

Worst place and food. No service. For strict vegetarian person don't buy anything. From tomato chutney smell like chicken. With dosa they had given me no coconut chutney. They had given me something like potato curry and its looks like they put chopped potato in hot water and mixed salt and turmeric. Third class. Even my Japanese friend is making better then this restaurant. Also I had ordered chicken biryani. It's only rice with turmeric powder and two pieces of small chicken with out taste. Meduvada was worst. Never ever I will go to this restaurant again. Don't go there. Worst food.

The BEST food in town! Absolutely love Sri Lankan food and I stumbled upon this little gem whilst down in Worthing for work. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, with nothing being too much trouble. As for the food..... absolutely spot on! If you like genuine, homecooked food with a kick? I highly recommend a visit. Will be back again very soon!

We took a take away last Saturday night and finally we got our South Indian food cravings satisfied from here after trying so many so called Indian restaurants!!! Reasonable price and good customer service!!!

Authentic South Indian dishes at reasonable prices. I think the quantity and the the taste they provide for this price is hard to get in the uk. If someone visits Worthing they must have the dishes from this shop. We order atleast once a week from here as a group. I literally love the food from here !!!!!

Superb South Indian/Sri Lankan restaurant with small seating area. We had the most delicious masala dosa and chicken kottu roti, full of flavour and made with fresh ingredients. The real deal! Planning our next trip back already. Delighted to have found this little gem with wonderful and v friendly staff.

Outstanding takeaway. Properly spiced, wonderfully generous portions and excellent, warm service. Really appreciate the dosas and the Sri Lankan options - delicious.

Absolutely delicious dishes, some refreshing new options you wont find on a standard UK curry menu. The host is passionate and enthusiastic about the food and cooking process handed down through the family and we were talked through each dish, history, cooking method, dietry combinations. He is a conissuer and outstandingly good at the job! We shared a Masala Dosa which was abundant with flavour the spicy samber tickled the taste buds and the chutney was unique and punched with flavour. Mutton curry was as good as any curry we've tried in our extensive experience here and abroad, simple basic rice was served perfectly and in good measure. The venue is compact and unassuming from outside but my goodness the food and service is of the very highest order. See you soon and thankyou for a lovely lunch experience 👏🏻

Ordered online off the back of the reviews and wow… so glad I did. Phenomenal food, easy ordering and prompt email confirming 30min pick up. There waiting and ready, fresh and super tasty. Not your average menu but highly recommend aubergine curry, biriyani, veg samosa and south coast chicken. The popadoms were so fresh and tasty best I’ve ever had and the parotta was a mouth full of wafer thin pastry heaven. Highly recommend, little food gem of Worthing!

Amazing and authentic spicy flavours. New favourite take-away in Worthing. Highly recommended the chicken kottu roti, biriyani and aubergine curry. Yet to try the dosa but waiting until I eat in. Really lovely owner too. My only criticism is that some dishes could be better described to help with ordering and some dishes are too cheap! Thanks for the lovely food 😊

This is my new favourite curry house, with a menu of non mainsteam dishes. Starting with several variations of my favourite Dosa, this menu includes savoury doughnuts and Sri Lankan noodles, to name but a few. Delivery is quick, the food hot and plentiful. Just working my way down the list. Recommend++

What a fabulous find! This place is in an unassuming spot in Worthing but definitely worth seeking out. We had the best, tastiest, most substantial masala dosa we have had in the UK. It was that good. Fish curry and idli were superb too. Mutton byriani, mutton kotthu, cutlets - everything was fresh and so tasty. Definitely worth the drive from Hove. The host was very nice as well, such a genuine person. There is limited seating in the restaurant but the atmosphere is very welcoming and you’ll be wowed by the food.

I ordered the masala dosa which came with potato masala, sambhar and spicy coconut chutney. Extremely delicious and fresh, and at only £7 I can't recommend enough! The owner was very sweet and passionate about his food, always a good sign.

Lovely food, good value friendly and efficient staff. If you want something a bit different from the normal curry and balti dishes this is the place.

Friendly staff, glad I'd booked the table for family of 6 since it is quite a small area for those eating in. Everything we ordered was delicious, and intriguingly new to us. Will certainly be returning to try different dishes from the menu.

Dinner last night was a really enjoyable experience. It has a very simple dining area and basic menu but don't let this put you off. We have visited Sri Lanka and this restaurant serves great authentic tasting food. The host was really helpful explaining the dishes and good combinations. Will definitely revisit. We love Indian food but it was great to taste another Asian cuisine.

Excellent and reasonably priced Sri Lankan/South Indian food. I had a lunch of chicken kottu roti. It was spicy but not overwhelming so, very tasty and an ample portion. The dining in space was comfortable but far from elegant. Come here for the food to eat in or take away, you will not be disappointed.

Bad smell from food and food came too late also left outside house

One of the best curries I have had. We also had veg. Biryani and mutton buryani, they were spot on. The dosa is also very authentic and full of flavour. My favourite was the potato curry with paratha or rice with the pickle and wood apple juice.

Very authentic dosa and South Indian cuisine in a no frills canteen style eatery. I used to go to a famous Dosa cafe in Tooting, London, and this place definitely matches that for food quality. I ordered a delicious and spicy massala Dosa for £6.99 which represents pretty good value when you consider it's almost impossible to find a decent square meal in this town for anything under £15. I'm so happy these guys came to Worthing, I think it will be a regular spot for me and I can't wait to work my way through the menu. They also deliver for free on orders over £15 👌

Service was amazing! The gentleman at the counter was polite, kind, and very attentive. The food itself was amazing! First time trying dosa and in love! The kitchen are obviously professionals! The price to feed 6 people... £32 I recommend for anyone visiting Worthing to come here!

An amazing meal with fabulous flavours. The staff are so friendly and helped with explaining the dishes and delicious menu. It's a take away but you can eat at the tables, which is fun. Great veggie selection and lots of new dishes that we enjoyed. Reasonably priced and cooked fresh to order.

Awesome! We were not sure what to order so we asked at the counter, we came in two separate groups my recommendation is Devilled Chicken, Vegetable Kottu Roti, Prawn hot batter, any meat or veg curry (we got the prawn) and ghee Dosa you will not be disappointed! Piping hot we picked it up a drove to Shoreham and was still mega hot! Devilled chicken and ghee Dosa is the very minimum order! Fantastic!

Yes! This place is showing Worthing how Indian food (technically Sri Lankan / Southern Indian I think) is done. I can't imagine wanting to go anywhere else. Warning: this is not your average Anglo Indian food, and it's hot, authentically hot! All the street food starters I've tried are delicious, the masala dosa is fab, and the prawn and the mutton curries are gorgeous as well. They use fresh whole spices, do you might need to watch out for cardamom pods. The only thing I've tried that I wasn't so keen on was the squid curry, I think it's probably an acquired taste, however it was absolutely packed with squid. The owners are clearly putting a lot of work into what they do as they've already made several tweaks and changes, and they're really friendly and helpful. It's affordable too, we got takeout for two for about £30, stuffed our faces, and had leftovers.I really hope this place continues to go from strength to strength, Worthing really needs this.

Best South Indian and Sri Lankan food. I love them masala dosa and kottu rotti. Specially in worthing and lancing and goring by sea there’re no any other proper South Indian food shop like this. They’re making traditional South Indian and srilankan food.

We have been there three times and also have bought food to take away. Freshly cooked, so takes about 20+ minutes. Only restuaraunt of its type in Worthing, to to best of my knowledge.

Traditional South Indian food, now my go to for Indian takeaway, the food is very flavourful and decent portion sizes are provided. The staff are helpful and will guide you through the menu. Very different to British Indian food (which I do like).

Thank god, food with flavour! If you’re tired of the boring British town selection of North Indian, Chinese, Pizza or burgers this doesn’t disappoint. I used to live in Malaysia where South Indian food is abundant and this place brings back those memories.

I was delighted to find this superb South Indian & Sri Lankan restaurant, the only one serving this region. It is conveniently on JustEat and other apps for delivery also. The Dosa is made fresh while you wait. A must try is the String Hoppers, a kind of wholemeal South Asian noodles. It tastes amazing with mutton curry, dhal curry, and coconut sambal. The people are very polite and the service is very fast. If you ask for extra things, they will readily accommodate you.
