I have been a few times. Best decaf coffee I have ever tasted. Beautifully presented. We booked a table for lunch in July. Lovely menu choices. Looking forward to it,

Best cafe in New Mills. Food is fresh, homemade and there are lots of healthy options. Great vegetarian and vegan selection with options for meat eaters too. Effort is made to vary the menu keeping things interesting for regulars and staff ask for your opinion on meal options showing real care and attention. Seasonal special menus also add an extra special touch. Very reasonably priced. Super dog friendly with treats available which is a lovely touch.

I was looking for a place to have a small party for my young daughter in New Mills, when I found this lovely café. There was lots of space upstairs and it’s in a central location right next to the bridge which has great views. Selene and Rachel couldn’t have been more helpful, we just told them how many people would be coming (around 25 with a few young children) and they put together an amazing menu! All of the cakes were delicious and everyone at the party loved the savoury dishes too. The rooms were decorated beautifully and it was completely stress free, Selene was available to help with food and drinks throughout the day. I’m looking forward to visiting again, I’d recommend it for its great food, lovely staff and relaxing atmosphere.

Found this place by chance and managed to get a table for 4 for lunch. Obviously popular with regular customers dropping in for takeaways as well as people eating. Great range of food and drinks for parties including those with specific dietary requirements. We particularly enjoyed the range of vegan and dairy free options. Everything was delicious and staff were very welcoming and accommodating. We will be making return visits!!

We visit Door 34 quite regularly, and that is for a reason. The food, coffee and service are always a treat. Highlights include the frittata, hash and selection of cakes, great for the reluctantly gluten free amongst us. Every town should have one…

….for making all 9 of us feel so welcome and comfortable. We were all, including 4 veggies and one vegan, able to find something suitable, and delicious, from your excellent menu. It was a lovely way for us all to meet up. We shall hopefully do it again, when we can work out the logistics of travelling from London, Wolverhampton, north and south Manchester, to begin celebrating time with our lucky family members who live on your doorstep, and who I’m sure will continue to be regulars at Door 34, We all wish you continued success and I’m sure you’ll see us all again.

We were introduced to Door 34 by friends in Hayfield, and we are now making it our business to introduce it to lots of our other friends, near and far: we’ve been three times now, and there is little to fault here—the quality and tastiness of the hot sandwiches, the flavour of good coffee and the warm and helpful friendliness of the staff are all to be savoured. Great for veggies and vegans, with a tempting list of freshly-made choices, which I am making it my business to work through, over the coming weeks. Very nice to see the provenance of ingredients listed — coffee, bread, milk etc all from reputable local sources — which has to be good, in terms of supporting local suppliers and avoiding excessive food miles. The rooms are lovely, very much like traditional cafes, with an honest, unpretentious ambience, and everything seems very clean and orderly. The simple things are done very well — a cuppa with a tea cake, the soup, and the homemade cakes — all fresh, tasty and served with friendliness and efficiency. Well done, this is a great place and we will be back regularly.

Visited for the first time at the weekend for breakfast with the family. Breakfast barms, sourdough with eggs and the children had beans on toast. All of us were very pleased with our food, all very tasty, perfect sized portions (particularly the children’s meals). Staff very friendly, lovely atmosphere, and the cafe and toilets were spotless! We also took some cakes away, and they were very, very nice, particularly the cherry bakewell! We will definitely be returning!

Visited yesterday on our way to The Millennium Walkway. Only had tea and cake but it was fantastic. The cake was absolutely delicious and certainly home made. The food served looked great. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and everything was spotlessly clean. Cannot fault it. Still thinking of the raspberry and almond cake - simply perfect. Good luck in your venture.

Found this place whilst visiting the Hydro. Quaint little cafe with friendly staff. We opted for a full English with sausage and bacon on the side and scrambled egg on toast. Food was okay but I did find my scrambled eggs slightly on the salty side and the sourdough toast was a little tough to cut through, but that’s more to do with the bread type rather than how they cooked it. I’m not sure £2 each for the sides was justifiable. We bought two slices of tea loaf to take away which were delicious. Definitely worth a visit if in the area.

The food, service, decor, everything are streets-ahead from any other cafe in New Mills. This has been reflected in how popular it’s quickly become with locals. It’s become a regular weekend trip for us too. Seriously well done to the team 👍

A real gem of a place with excellent, friendly service and an exciting menu. Pixies is known for its cakes (which are excellent) but I actually prefer the savoury options, the cheese on toast is pretty amazing and if the Onion Bhaji burger is on then you must try it. Coffee is always good too.

There are many cafes in Hope to choose from, especially on a bank holiday but the best one has got to be the Courtyard Cafe. Tucked away a little off the main street, it's quiet allowing you to hear your conversations but the absolute best thing are the chips! The chip butties are amazing! The chips are crisp and properly sized! Looking around all food we saw looked really good. Staff were so lovely and clearly the local's favourite spot to come to. An excellent cafe to come to after a great walk from Hope. Can't wait to come back to Courtyard and eat more chips!

A very welcoming small cafe with a big range of excellent appetising options. We separately sampled very tasty bacon and sausage cobs with equally good coffees. We saw the range of sandwiches and paninis, soups, and cakes available too. All these are home made in house. The locals clearly know it is the best around as it was busy with take aways too. We are tourists and will certainly come again when we are next in the area
