This place has amazing authentic Italian food personally I recommend any of the pizzas!

It's a nice place, but charging £4 for Gluten Free is a bitter pill to swallow. Most places charge nothing elsewhere, so £4 is pretty enormous. Also no idea how you calculate the doubling of the cost from small to large supplement. £2 I could take, but £4? Dial it down or gluten free will go elsewhere.

Been here many times. My 92 year old mother loves it because she can only manage a small pizza and very few places do two sizes. But that is only part of it. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is all fresh, totally scrumptious and served as quickly as freshly made pizza can be. The lunchtime deal is great too. Absolutely brilliant and we'll be going again soon.

It was nice place and delicious pizza before but now the pizza was burned and the topics weren't put nicely. Time to find another authentic Italian pizza restaurant.

Had a really nice lunch here, thin traditional pizzas with a wide selection of toppings. I was unsure about some of the Italian toppings however the waitress was very helpful and gave good recommendations.

The pastry chef cooks great. Nice OO flour and a crisp bottom of pizza perfect for folding. A bit too skimp on the toppings (and they were mandolin thin). Dough could have some more pop and holes, but overall very good given the cold weather that evening. Seating is a bit uncomfortable and having some nicer seats would make it more enjoyable. Service was good overall but I had to wait sometime for a menu. Place needs some music or soul vibe. Very reasonably priced.

Pizzas were delicious and the delivery was on time. They were still warm and they were transported horizontally. They were not cut into slices but I wouldn't want them to be.

Donelli's Pizza exceeded my expectations! Their garlic bread was perfectly crispy with a rich, buttery flavor and just the right amount of garlic. The pizza was just as impressive, with a deliciously chewy crust, fresh toppings, and a rich sauce that tied everything together. A fantastic spot for anyone craving quality pizza and garlic bread!

Dropped in for early dinner, very quiet. Service friendly, polite & attentive without being obtrusive. Pizzas were excellent- fine dough, fluffy, non greasy. Topping & filling (one calzone) generous & tasty. Highly recommended for a casual meal.

We visited here at the weekend prior to a matinee theatre show following a recommendation from friends. To be honest I was expecting something really good but got something pretty poor. The service was extremely slow and lack lustre and the two servers looked totally uninterested. In fact we saw a family arrive and sit at a table and then leave after about 10 mins as they hadn’t been attended too. We were a family of six and ordered six pizzas a round of drinks and some dough balls. We had to ask to order drinks and then again to make our food order. Three pizzas turned up and then we waited about 20 mins for the next three…. The dough balls had been forgotten about. The pizzas were ok but nothing special. So £100 later I felt pretty dissatisfied with both the food and service. It was apparent that the owners were not there so I would say ‘while the cats away’……. There are plenty of good reviews for this restaurant so this may have been a one off but unfortunately I, nor my family will return to find out.

Lovely little restaurant - pizzas very nice and well priced. Lovely smell of wood fire and music creates a nice atmosphere - eaten here multiple times and NEVER had an issue.

I blooming love this place for the whole experience - the ambience, perfect pizzas, cuteness of decor and the staff!!! They are the icing on the cake. My frend and I had the bestest time here and our waiter was a delight when we flirted with him.

We had an absolutely outstanding experience at Donnelli’s Pizza Place! After a frustrating 2-hour wait due to a Just Eat mishap, we decided to head to the restaurant directly. From the moment we arrived, the team, led by Chef Stan, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. They immediately took care of us, and the service was nothing short of amazing. The pizza? Simply the best in Norwich! Fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection—every bite was a delight. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to unwind after our delivery ordeal. A huge thank you to Chef Stan and the entire team for turning our day around. I can't recommend Donelli Pizza Place enough—it's a true gem. We'll definitely be back!

Absolutely fabulous pizzeria the waiters and waitresses were amazing. Lots of a variety of pizzas, four of us went each ordering different pizzas and were amazed by the stay of all. We strongly recommend this as a place to eat.

Pizza arrived having with half of its toppings missing as it hadn't been carried flat by the courier and they'd leaked out the holes!

Brilliant Pizzeria! Lots of pizza options cooked in wood fired oven. Family of 5 and we had a different pizza each and all were amazing. We are pizza lovers and have an outdoor pizza oven at home. This home made pizza dough and sauce were next level, and great toppings. Service was very friendly, attentive, busy and professional. Will definitely go again.

Was once really nice. Trust me I’m from Naples so I know my pizzas. The mozzarella is per packed grated . Cheap and nasty.. well over loaded on the pizza..it’s not a pizza any more and where do you get parmigiana on a margarita totally a no no .. shame once was one of the better ones

I went here for lunch today as it's just up the road from my barbers. And I had a very nice calzone! All quality ingredients and the pizza dough was just as good. I'd say that you'd struggle to get pizzas better than this outside of Italy.

Do not miss this delightful and delicious pizzeria in central Norwich. The scent of wood-fired pizza greets you as you enter this convivial, charming space, where you will be served by the friendliest, most hard -working people you will encounter in the UK. They created a special, non-rocket salad for us despite being nearly overwhelmed with locals. Our pizza featured a flavorful, tangy tomato sauce, prosciutto, basil,and peppers - hot and mouth-wateringly tasty.

When they get it right, best pizzas in norwich. Lovely crust, lots of flavours. But they occasionally change the ingredients. (I.e the cheese, then it’s not so good.) Price is pretty much the to end for a pizza and they have recently gone up. They also do a vegan cheese, I think there’s a supplement for that.

Popped into this Pizzeria in Norwich today and it really was the best I’ve tasted in years… including Italy…

Have been going here for a long time now but the past few times have been disappointing. I always loved the tomato paste on the base of the pizza but recently it seems to taste different, my pizza also had a horrible burnt taste on the bottom and the sides were definitely burnt. The prices seem to go up every time we visit and I was charged an extra £3.50 for a few slices of extra onion on the pizza. I could understand (just about) if I’d requested extra cheese but a quarter of an onion, that’s ridiculous. Not sure if I will return.

We’ve loved Donnelli’s since they opened, and if anything they’ve got better! A recent takeaway was delivered hot, and their signature bases are second to none. It’s a nice place to go, with friendly staff, and the menu - whilst not as minimalist as it used to be! - still sticks to emphasising the authentic ingredients and cooking.

Me and my partner went here for some lunch. We both ordered a large pizza, one Roma and one Sorrento. I would go as far as saying it was some of the best pizza I have ever had! Highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again when we are next in Norwich

We had a birthday lunch here and as soon as we walked in the door it felt comfortable. The smell of the wood fired pizza oven was really lovely. I had the Parma pizza which was so fresh and tasty. I had the large pizza so Di not have any room left for ice cream or tiramisu. My son had the etna calazone which he really enjoyed. The staff were very pleasant and overall a really nice lunch and we will return

We visited donellis on a Monday to celebrate our dearest friends 21st birthday. Safe to say this was not a fail. We had a spiffing time dining on pizzas and enjoying the Italian vibes. Would highly recommend. This is a fine establishment for food and beverages. Jules and stanner made us feel extremely welcome 🇮🇹🍕🧄😋

Had a delicious meal of freshly baked on site pizzas. Lovely staff (Jules and dancing Stanner) who were all very friendly and accommodating; gave us extra garlic dip for free. Nice atmosphere even on a Monday night with most tables full.

We ordered 3 pizzas and 1 doughballs, only 1 pizza and 1 doughballs arrived. We drove to the restaurant ourselves to pick up the pizzas. Apparently we should've reported it to just eat for a refund, but that would've left us hungry! The pizzas are great, but the one pizza that arrived was cold when it got here.

The driver was 45 mins late from required time. We called the restaurant and they didn’t think anyone was going to show up so advised us to cancel. We couldn’t cancel because the person on live chat then got a drive to go and pick it up. The driver at the door didn’t speak English so we couldn’t ask him anything. And the food is horrendously cold, so overall we are £25 down for a terrible meal and terrible service from Just Eat. We will not be ordering again.

Visited with my young family for a homework assignment, researching different foods. Staff were very welcoming and really friendly and they really helped us out. Chef knew what he was doing and the pizza and calzone were incredible. Decent value for money as well.

Although sheltered away in a not so special looking building, almost hidden away. I would say it's a hidden gem of a pizzeria and HIGHLY RECOMMEND. All ingredients are fresh and pizzas are made to order, and you can tell. Friendly staff and fair prices. If you like pizza, GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY, worth it!

So disappointed that our order was missing our drinks! The pizza was stone cold and chewy - not good for the price at all. The Calzone was slightly warmer but the quality of meat and veg was incredibly poor. First order, will not return.

Still the best pizza in Norwich. Generous sized pizzas cooked in a wood oven, with a great choice of toppings and very reasonably priced. They have a special offer on week days up until 5.00pm, which is excellent.

My boyfriend and I both had the weekday lunchtime deal (£9.99 for small pizza and soft drink, £12.99 for large option) and it was absolutely delicious! We could see it was freshly made, the staff were lovely and friendly, and it was a very enjoyable meal.

Called here for lunch and had a really lovely experience. Traditionally cooked pizza, using fresh ingredients, all made for really nice food and a lovely experience. The staff were really pleasant and the service was prompt and professional. We will definitely return here on our next trip to Norwich.

I loved the pizza and they have some very good lunch menu offerings with very affordable prices. I would say it is one of the best pizzas in Norwich, with very varied options. The only bad thing is that when we left, we had a bit of a wood smell on our clothes and hair. As a point for improvement, I would recommend that they try to minimize smoke emissions towards the table area. Everything else was excellent.

Cheerful little family pizza restaurant. The pizza oven is wood fired and makes for a great crust. The menu is a set of variations on a theme, but the differences are tasty. The staff are kind and attentive. The atmosphere can be lively but not over the top. Not fine dining but mighty fine!

Donelli’s Pizzeria does some of the best pizza I have had in Norwich. I have visited a couple of times over the past couple of years and each time the pizza is cooked wonderfully. The lunch time meal deal is very good and the option of having a smaller pizza or a larger one is good to have. The garlic and chilli oil that’s served with the pizza goes really well and i would highly recommend the doughballs with garlic butter😋.The staff are all friendly and efficient.

This is a great pizzeria with authentically-cooked pizza and a genuine dough base. I ordered the large Torino which consisted of a tomato base, anchovies, plenty of olives and a large dose of mozzarella. This, with a glass of red wine cost £13.99. I've eaten at other pizzerias, some independent and others chains, but this has been the best eating experience to date. The staff were busy, attentive and polite. Having read some of the previous of this pizzeria, it seems incomprehensible that a reviewer would complain of there being no barbecue sauce for the first-base topping! Would you go into a fish and chip shop and ask for sweet potato chips instead of potato chips and then complain because they didn't? There are some ignorant and rude people about.

Walked in to an empty pizzeria and told there were no tables as they were waiting on 30 guests to arrive. I asked what time are they coming and they said between 12-4 it’s 3.45 so I’m guessing they haven’t been turning everyone away since 12? I look forward to talking to management!

Excellent pizzeria on a wet day in Norwich. So simple, two fabulous calzones and drinks. Really good dough, with plenty of filling, cooked perfectly.

The pizza and dough balls were exceptional. What ruined the experience for us was the can't be arsed, miserable attitude of the waitresses. I'd order again as a takeaway but certainly wouldn't eat in. Shame, a smile and helpful attitude would have pushed this review up to a four.

Big big fan of Donnelli's. Not been in many years since being diagnosed gluten intolerant, but was delighted to see they advertised gluten free bases both online and on the billboard outside the restaurant. Arrived for lunch today at midday as a group of 6 having pre booked, right at the start of lunch service. Ordered drinks. Then went to order my gluten free pizza to find out they didn't have any and we were meant to preorder to ensure they were in stock. It didn't say this anywhere beforehand. If gluten free is advertised, surely it needs to be stocked by default in today's market. The waitress looked shocked when we said we'd have to go somewhere else. And still charged us for the drinks we ordered and merely sipped on. Would have thought they would be free as an apology, as well as considering we weren't able to drink them. As I said, love the restaurant and the food was always great. Just don't advertise gluten free alternatives if you can't fulfill them. Went to Middletons next door and it was really great.

Sorry I normally love this place, but pizza was really bad. Was packed sideways up so all the topping came off. Tasted really funny

Nipped in for a takeaway pizza for my daughter. Ready really quickly, the most amazing pizza imaginable with the perfect amount of topping. Really reasonably priced and super friendly people. I’ve had a gluten free pizza here before as well and it was the best I’ve ever had. Will be back soon as the husband is jealous he’s not been yet!

Visited again after more than 5 years and just as good as it was then. Pear and Gorgonzola salad was fab and great pizzas too.

Discovered on my last visit to Norwich, and returned because the pizzas are excellent and really good value. Also have good quality dairy free alternatives. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff.

Our go to pizza place so we always like it there but today was particularly good, friendly waitress Eloise was communicative, polite and attentive, and the guy cooking pizzas (Stan) - definitely is really skilled and cares about what he does - really evenly cooked, perfectly cooked base and toppings just right! Yummy!

Loads of choice the pizza is godlike and takes about 5 minutes assuming they aren't busy but well worth the price and the wait
