Thin crap chips, asked for salad when got it home, no salad, smothered in garlic sauce when I asked for just a little bit, I won't be going there again, utter rubbish very disappointed 😑

The kebab salad is primarily onion and cabbage with a small piece of cucumber or tomato if you are lucky. The lamb is thinly cut, the chicken basic. Good kebabs are really enjoyable but these were not worth the effort. Sad because they used to do a lot better The location is not in one of the better areas of norwich so you are unlikely to come across it when visiting. Disappointing, could not recommend

18 years I've been a customer, previously left a 5 Star review. But the last 2 times the chicken and shish in the £12 mixed kebab was horrendously overcooked. The chicken so hard and dry, it considering it was only on the grill for 6 minutes, it is obviously precooked and just reheated on the grill. The lamb pieces cut in half and squeezed so they are tough like leather. Chicken was hard all the way through and no colour on the outside of the meat (see picture). Wonder if it was precooked with a microwave? After 18 years a loyal customer, I won't be going back again.

Didn't receive order but taken £30, going through bank to get it back.

Used to order from here all the time, however every time I order now they can’t be bothered to read the notes and the order always comes wrong! Get the same answer each time, add it to your notes and they will do it. Funny enough I do that every time and they can’t seem to do it despite even calling after I order and telling them on the phone. Ridiculous service.

We have used canaries for years - we moved a few miles down the road at the beginning of the year and had 2 takeaways since then delivered by canaries to our new house - today they refused my order and when I rang up said they don't deliver here - you have before! Very disappointed!

I chose to use Canaries after I saw them offering a free meal to someone in need on Facebook. Not only are these guys kind members of our community but their food is great too. I love their twist on a vegetarian pitta with veggies, fries and a vegan burger inside. Fab!

After an issue last week canaries showed great service and rectified the problem. Very good Donner meat chips and cheese, very good chicken meat chips and cheese. Customer service was spot on with the lovely lady on the phones. Delivery driver was decent and food arrived quickly. Drinks lovely and lovely. Food lovely and hot. Perfect. Thanks canaries

As someone who is a very regular customer it’s sad to say I’m giving a bad review. For the record most of the time the service is okay. On the 14th feb my wife ordered a takeaway for myself and her at 17:38. We sat and waited for around an hour and 10 minutes before calling. A lovely lady answered the phone and told us that for some reason we had been missed and that the order would arrive ASAP and said this would be around 10 minutes. 50 minutes and another phone call later the food finally arrived 2 hours after we ordered and was lukewarm. This particular delivery driver an older gentleman I’m sorry to say couldn’t find his way out of a paper bag. On many occasions I’ve watched him walking up and down the street for a few minutes and knocking on the wrong doors before working out where to go. This is also as you’re shouting and waving to get his attention and he is oblivious and miserable. The guy…. Due to our poor diet of probably canaries two or 3 times a week still hasn’t after a year or so worked out our address. And every time he delivers the food it’s cold or lukewarm. I’ve called up to tell them before and nothing happens. After waiting for 2 hours you would think that canaries would have perhaps thrown in a little freebie to apologise for the wait and mistake?…. No. Let’s put it this way my wife and I spent around £2000 in canaries last year minimum and this is how the value our custom? It’s perhaps time to find another takeaway.

Ordered pizza, I'm literally 3mins away and my pizza was cold, not happy

Don't order from these if your in NR8 they pick and choose if they want to deliver to you. We have used these regularly and for a good while now never had any problems with delivery. Last night I ordered and they refused delivery even though it states they deliver to NR8. The manager basically said they were a few drivers short and weren't coming this far out they were only doing it locally. So even though they deliver to Nr8 as it states on the flyer (and you still pay a charge) they refuse to. The manager on the phone was very very rude and wasn't even bothered about what it said on the flyer and when i was explaining about how we have always ordered his response was 'its saturday,im busy love' Will not be ordering from them again which is a shame because some of the food is quite nice.

I really don’t like giving bad reviews but what we were presented with bore no resemblance to the shish kebabs we had ordered and were expecting. Kebabs I’ve had before have varied between good and very good - these were terrible. Instead of chunks of lamb we were presented with thin strips of meat, more like doner but without the flavour - just dreadful.

Absolutely vile, soggy matchstick thin fries, Tough, chewy, fatty lamb shish, Hard, overcooked, tasteless chicken, Donna meat that is cold, greasy, and full of gristle, All this can be yours for an over inflated price of £11.50. Fries charged separately. The stomach ache and nausea that follows is free if charge.

Its been years since i last ordered from here as remember being disappointed the previous time. Ordered 2 chicken kebabs both were equally dry and tasteless. Salad was mainly onion, didnt enjoy eating it, however my dog ate it all except the onion. Thanks but no thanks

Pizzas were over cooked and burnt crust. Arrived on time but barely warm Toppings were very crispy and to be fair not really much on either pizza. In fact it looked like topping for 9" pizza spread thinly across 12" bases. Really dissatisfied with tonight's food. Spent £30 but won't be ordering from the establishment in future.

I always go here but lately I'm disappointed. The food always arrives stone cold and the drivers bags are disgusting. One that arrived today it had wasn't even zipped up. I expected to buy my family a take away costing between £20-£30 for it to be cold.

The order arrived cold however after a quick phone call the woman on the phone was very polite and they remade part of the order sending out a new garlic bread with cheese which was at least 10 times better then the first attempt and we enjoyed it so thank you, will give it a try again another time and hopefully the standards will be kept up and we will enjoy the meal again

It hurts me giving a 2 star review as I have been a loyal customer since my prom night 16 years ago. Let's face it, the best part about canaries pizzas is the sauce, and they are so stingy with it. The last few pizzas I have ordered have had f all sauce on the base, and the last two I have specifically asked for an extra saucy base, and on inspection I would say there isn't even enough for a single serving of sauce and been given what I would describe as cheese on toast. I don't even think my request was taken seriously. Very disappointed. Will be looking to go else where from now on. Thanks.

Ordered through the app at 8.15 called at 9 15 to confirm it was on the way. Was told it's definitely left. Now they're closed and we have no food. Very disappointed and going to bed hungry

Arrived quick & hot but what an absolute disaster. Chips were a bit undercooked, burger had that much sauce in that I couldn't eat it, literally picking it up it just went everywhere. Only thing they did do is read the notes about which salad & the delivery driver was very friendly. If it wasn't for them two points I wouldn't have rated 2 stars. Utterly disappointed

Owners are very friendly and approachable. The food service and hygiene is extremely well maintained which is a relief; the fact that there is an extremely broad variety of options is very convenient for a takeaway night. Best in the area.

Ordered a kebab and potions of chips. Kebab was nice and hot when delivered. Im very particular in where I order kebab from and I was happily satisfied. The chilli sauce was perfect, not watery like other chilli sauce's I've had. Very swift delivery, delivery man was friendly. Will be eating from here again when I visit Norwich again.

Bought a kebab. Asked for meat to be separated from the salad. When we arrived home we had a good laugh. The meat was literally a lot. We couldn't eat it all so we've got lunch too for today. Lamb was tasty and chicken crispy outside and tender and juicy in the middle. Good job. Staff was friendly enough. Definitely going back to try the pizza. Thank you.

The Canaries Special Mix Kebab is probably the best takeaway I’ve had from a kebab shop ever. It’s so massive it comes in a pizza box, it’s absolutely delicious and it’s less than a tenner from their website. Unreal.

Tuve varios problemas con el pedido. Primero no llegó un artículo, me dijeron que otro conductor lo dejaría, pero al final eso no sucedió. La segunda comida, un shish kebab tenía un mechón de pelo largo y cuando llamé para hacerles saber, fueron muy despectivos y dijeron que no podía haber sido su cabello. Fueron groseros y no ofrecieron ni siquiera una disculpa y simplemente dijeron que iban a cerrar y que me llamarían al día siguiente. No recibí ninguna llamada. Le envié un mensaje de texto al gerente al mismo número que solía llamarme para informarme que se habían olvidado de empacar la primera comida, pero él tampoco respondió. No lo recomendaría si valora la comida higiénica que llega y el servicio decente. Esta es la primera crítica negativa que escribo, pero tal vez pueda salvar a alguien más de una noche arruinada.

Bad, bad, bad. Chicken was so dry I genuinely couldn't tell it apart from the bread at one point - which was also dry. Chips had zero flavour and we found a hair in the chilli 'sauce' (which was also so dry it just sat in clumps on the food). Will be going back to our old faithful on Sprowston Road from now on which is superior by far. Sorry.

These guys deserve the full 5 stars. Ordered from here many times. I live quite close and usually order the same thing (Doner Meat with Cheesy chips and bottle of coke). Usually a once every few weeks treat. And every time they have delivered to me literally in 5minutes it's great! Without fail. The food is cooked well, and they're VERY generous with portions. Great place, will always be my "go to" place and I recommend it to others.

First time eating here. Ordered chicken kebab and chips. Sadly on opening meal at home, chips Really undercooked and chicken dry, obviously pre-cooked and wholly unappetising. Kebab meat should be freshly cooked in front of your eyes and have that unique char grilled taste, not pulled out of a Bain Marie!

Used these for years the kebab I got tonght was awful...hardly no meat and of poor quality Garlic bread like well I dont know it was like a rock hard circle with no garlic? What has happened to this place? Used to be so good! Wont be using no more it all went in the bin

This is the 2nd time we have ordered here within in a few weeks of each other, no complaints at all both orders have arrived early by at least 20 minutes + both piping hot and delicious, the pizza is amazing + donner meat with chilli sauce spot on, without doubt beats Mega munch by a country mile + some!
