Donna is very polite and fun The two full breakfasts we ordered were huge and cooked to perfection. Coffee was delicious and hot Absolute hidden gem if your here in Newquay you would definitely need to visit her at the Cafe

The biggest and best bacon and egg roll I've ever had. Cooked fresh to order. Hot as you like and served with a cheerful smile. She does it all on her own as well. I don't know how she does it!! She's just fantastic.

Excellent breakfast freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Stations mostly now sublet their cafe spaces to Costa and Pumpkin et al who only serve factory stuff out of a freezer. A proper cafe where fresh food is freshly cooked is rare these days and worthy of whole-hearted support. Easy parking too for a city centre. I love it.

I enjoyed a large beans on toast (2 slices) before catching my train and paid less than £3. Warm, clean, and a friendly chatty owner, so what's not to like - top marks from me. If I return to Newquay, I plan to return here as well.

Exactly what you’d expect. Honest; simple food with very friendly service. Not 5 stars due to cash only - inexcusable now for businesses not to accept card payments.

Food, service and portions are all very good. The food is cooked fresh and properly. I used to visit here regularly whilst living in Newquay and still make a point of having a breakfast here everytime I’m back. Highly recommended!

Really good fry up + they have gluten-free bread, we went here twice during our stay in Newquay. The lady working there (Donna?) is lovely. It's cheap too!Only criticism I would give is there is no black pudding with the fry up, that would be brilliant.

The food is terrible and full of oil comes out dripping of it. The Drinks are not any good either. Avoid at all costs!

Went into this café by the Train Station this morning. Had their largest breakfast available. It was well presented on a plate but far too much beans and fried potatoes. Quality of the bacon, sausages and egg was good. Perhaps a change of items like mushrooms or hash browns would not go amiss.Will visit again in the near future

Very good value for money. Donnas was recommended by the owners of where we were staying. Large breakfast and a brew for me and a bacon sausage and egg bap for my other half. Couldn’t fault the food and friendly service. Thanks Donna

Most mornings me and my partner pop in to Donna's to get coffee and maybe a bite to eat to take away, been going here for years never had a problem at all always friendly does her best to please her customers I sometimes sit outside and. see many people coming in and out with smiles all round.. also best coffee, hot chocolate and bacon butties:) to work alone and get so much done.. what a trooper you are bird

Tasteless food covered in veg oil Greasy cutlery and no sanitiser to be seen. Avoid at all costs unless you want to ruin your health!

Wouldn't recommend this place at all, The food was cold and egg wasn't cooked properly, Had a very upset tummy the next few days, Not worth the money either Not polite either rather rude

More beans and potatoes than anything else. One of the staff went outside to make a fuss of a dog and then went back in to start preparing food without washing her hands. Not good hygiene in this place

Couldn’t fault the food or the service, food fresh and hot, service quick efficient and friendly, even the dog was given a bowl of sausages ( no charge) definitely be back

We were having an early business meeting and popped in the day before to ask if they could make seven breakfast sandwiches to be picked up at 8am. Not only did she go out of her way to get the required bread for us that she doesn't normally have, the sandwiches were ready and waiting, fabulous and still hot as she wrapped them in foil for us. Will definitely be using Donna's again. Thank you and well done.

I wanted something quick before taking the train. You can see the platform from the cafe so there's little chance of missing the train. Service was efficient if not very friendly.

Went to Donna’s cafe this morning.. was kindly told she couldn’t take any orders for at least 20 mins as she was very busy... We could see she was rushed off her feet.. serving customers Cooking etc. We retuned 1/2 hour later and true to her word we ordered our breakfast... Donna amazes us she works on her own cooking cleaning tables and always has a smile.. Don’t know how she does it.. Her breakfast is the best Newquay cooked fresh and coffee excellent.. Thank you Donna will be back again... x

Went with friends as they always insist on going, although I go regular and it is always good they only come to Newquay a couple of times a year and always have to visit Donna’s as they breakfast out a lot and like a breakfast that lasts them all day and Donna’s never disappoints

If you are going to go away, which you're perfectly entitled to do, at least put a note on the door letting customers know from when you are going to be closed to when you next open. It common courtesy

Have been here a few times always been good, but went the other day and it wasnt busy 2 or 3 tables were in use the rest were empty.Got to the counter and was rudely told not taking anymore orders no apology just abruptness.As a local residents we are the bread and butter of most businesses during the winter and we were really taken aback by Donna's attitude.Needless to say will not be returning to this cafe and have taken our custom to somewhere that has made us feel welcome .

Just down by the Train Station Platform. Always a great breakfast and excellent value for money. Always eat here for our last meal on the way out of town usually. Not the best looking place but always great tasting!

What can we say about Donna's Cafe, we found this place last year while on holiday with the family so we decided that after travelling just over 6 hours we would go to Donna's Cafe for breakfast again. We got there for around 9.30ish and we had a little but it was well worth the wait Donna is always running around and she don't mind changing anything on your breakfast and you can even make your own which is great for people like me and my children that are really fussy and the portions are really big too. While we was on our holiday we used Donna's Cafe at least 6 times and every time it was lovely yes most of the time Donna is all on her own so you have to wait but I wouldn't go anywhere else for a breakfast in Newquay it is definitely the best in town. Donna is very friendly and she works really hard to make everyone welcome.When Donna is very busy she tells you that you will have to wait but some people are inpatient, trust me it is well worth the wait and would highly recommend to try it you will love it.

After riding for a good few hours sustenance was required and Donna’s cafe was a proper job. Had a lovely pasty and the other food options had by the rest of the gang were really decent along with the much needed mugs of tea.

Was looking for breakfast when we arrived in Newquay, came across little gem . We had the medium breakfast and I must admit I couldn’t finish mine, there was so much . The breakfast was cooked fresh and looked very appetising.

Got here around 11.30 ordered didn’t have to wait very long and when it arrived wow loads struggled to finish it off

Great little cafe ran by a lovely lady who runs it all on her own. Breakfast was great and portion sizes are bigger than you expect, great value for money. Would not go anywhere else for breakfast in Newquay!

Been visiting Donnas cafe for a few years now. We always visit when were in Cornwall. The food here is excellent the breakfasts are huge and every thing is cooked fresh to order Donna is always very welcoming and polite. Would highly recommend a visit if your in Newquay

Dropped in for breakfast one day as we were self catering. Choose which size breakfast you want. Not bad at all for the price. Would have preferred toast to just buttered bread which was served and would have preferred has browns to the pile of potato chip things that come with it but otherwise excellent. Made to order and very big servings. Had to wait a while but could sit outside and enjoyed it once it came.

Donna’s cafe is a no frills cafe that serves a highly recommended fantastic cooked breakfast. The portion sizes are huge and great value for money. Service is quick and the food is cooked to order so lovely and hot. Well worth a visit.

Came here for breakfast the three mornings we were there, the first day I ordered the large and it was gigantic, it was made fresh and I couldn’t fault it apart from the size!! For the rest of the time there I opted for the medium, mainly because I enjoyed the potatoes! Donna herself is a hard working lively individual who clearly gets some enjoyment from what she does. The women who helped her out were both vastly different, the young girl didn’t seem to know what she was doing behind the scenes, maybe because she’s new? I felt Donna was left to do a huge amount of work as well as co-ordinating the girl, however on the Sunday there was a woman who clearly had more experience and therefore drinks were arriving in good time, which made the wait for the food that much more bearable! There was a bit of a wait on food, but then she was never not busy from what we saw! And I was happy to wait with what arrived at the table! The place appears clean, front of house and back of house, backed up by the 5 stars on the doors. I would recommend this place to anyone, just please use less beans!!!

I have been going to Donna's for years I have even introduced others to my little secret breakfast hidaway to which they still visit regularly I always found the breakfast's filling but the last 3 time now Donna has been either rude or blown me off with a reasons that she can't serve me.Therefore i will be taking my buisness elsewhere.If you are under presure employ help!!!

Ordered the large breakfast for brunch, my wife had the medium. Probably the largest English breakfast I have ever been confronted by! Very good service and quality ingredients. £14 for 2 including drinks and the morning papers!

I love Donna's, she runs the place singlehanded and bosses it.

Typical greasy spoon cafe, cheap & cheerful, I asked for a variation to the menu and it wasn’t a problem, lovely fry up.

Well, what an amazing 'proper' cafe! We just has a med breakfast & OMG be prepared to eat! Massive portions, boiling HOT, even the baked beans which nearly all places seem to serve Luke warm.

Simply the best around when you want a proper fry up for a very decent price. She is an expert at this game !

Having only visiting this cafe for a cup of coffee. We found ourselves still feeling the effects hours after, at one point I even thought about a fire hose - if you enjoy the feeling of your mouth burning so much you could light a match or that hot fiery numbness of wondering if you're tongue has vacated your mouth this is the place for you!!

The food is cooked nice and you get a lot for your money. Donna was very friendly to us. You can't really ask for more. We go there every time we visit Newquay. I would certainly recommend it.

On the station forecourt, this is used by locals as well as travellers. Nice cup of tea. clean and friendly

This is a proper 'greasy spoon' cafe. 4/5 star hygiene rating. Breakfast is fantastic - the small was big enough for most of our party. We caught sight of a 'large' breakfast, WOW! Great value and quality. Don't know how Donna does it! Shame she is going on holiday during our next visit!

Came here multiple times for a banging breakfast, generous portions and cheap price! Highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a big breakfast, quality and quantity!! Fried potatoes are spot on!!!

Visit Cornwall every year and always pop in for breakfast at least twice during our stay. Clean cafe excellent food and Donna and her staff work very hard none stop so that tells me it's a popular cafe so Donna and her staff must be doing something right. Keep up the good food n service.

So this Sunday just gone I was sat outside in my car when a seagull decided to poo in my car due to having the window open. I went to donnas cafe to ask for a napkin and rudely got told if I wasn't eating I couldn't have one which I thought was rediculious as all I really needed was one napkin. After the way she spoke I will highly recommend people to avoid at all costs as far as customer service goes that was the worst I have ever experienced!

The breakfast here was amazing and I doubt that anyone could finish the large one!!! I ordered a small breakfast and couldn't finish it and my son and husband ordered a large one and neither could finish it (which is amazing in itself). The food was really nice and the bacon and sausages cooked well as requested, the coffee too was really good. The cafe itself was spotlessly clean, I will definitely visit again.

Amazing well good breakfast that set us up for the day. Only thing i would say is the portions can be a little to big at times even the small! But we have came back each morning we were here because its fresh and great value for money. Would defiantly come back if we visit again!

Me and my partner stayed in Newquay for the weekend and was looking at where to go for a English breakfast. This popped up and we thought we would give it a try. We were a bit unsure as it was hidden out the way but as soon as we arrived it was clean and the staff were very welcoming!!! The staff were great and very helpful as to what to get for the best amount of money. The food was made very fast and was delicious!!! We non stopped went on about this breakfast and about how nice it was! When we go back to Newquay we will be going here again xx

Had a small breakfast here last Saturday. Fantastic! More than enough to eat, freshly cooked to order and coffee was really good!

Had a bacon & egg sandwich to take out. Nicely cooked egg pink on top, yolk still runny and no gaggy bits. Plenty of thick cut bacon, must have been at least 3 slices in there. Bread fresh also. I'm really fussy with fry ups and from what I could see of other people they looked excellent - and generous. Good value for money too, not expensive at all. Will def go back and try one when I've more time. Donna swiftly despatched my sandwich despite having a few breakfasts on the go too, very efficient. Wrapped it in foil too so it stayed warm.

Super breakfasts, fresh cooked to order by Donna quickly and efficiently. Generous portions got to be really hungry to down a large breakfast. Place is spotless and inviting, real value for money, proper local café.

Went to Donna's for brekkie while on holiday, hubby ordered a medium fry up, wow, couldn't eat it all, freshly cooked but huge. Good price too. Families are welcome. She does takeaway, this cafe is well worth going to. You can sit in or outside, and we were made very welcome

This café is OK if waiting for a train. But if you are on your own expect to be rudely moved on when a larger party arrive. Not again.

Breakfast was huge, I had a small and my partner a large and fair play neither of us could finish. The cup of tea was gorgeous too.

Ideal to use while waiting for your train. The prices were quite good and the food basic but okay. It has seating inside and out with large picnic benches.

I live in Newquay and use various places to eat during my partners lunch break. Donnas is one of the best..!

Visited Donnas while camping nearby with family. 4 of us in total. Cannot fault. Breakfast for £3:00 which kept us going all day whilst out walking along coast. Perfect couldn't have asked for more. Will def go back without a doubt if in area again.

Exceptional cafe in Newquay station basic and very well run. On my visit she was on her own and was the master of efficiency huge portions and a great atmosphere the photo is of the medium breakfast ! Highly recommended

Was a lovely breakfast maybe even to much food. Was cooked Fresh and quickly lady does look like she's running around on nervous energy as she's doing all the cooking. Does say on menu that you can't change the breakfasts which is bit of a pain if u don't like something. But I like everything and was good value and a good cup of tea, very clean. They do takeaway breakfast sandwiches which were really nice and also quite reasonable, I did think they should be able to offer vegetarian sausages for the takeaway ones, but may take longer for the one lady cooking and personally I prefer the quorn sausages if I had any constructive criticism. But would defiantly eat there again

Donna works very hard as this cafe can get busy great prices for breakfast cheapest in Newquay large portions of breakfast to keep you going through the day. We revisit this cafe every year going several times on our holiday.

Good size English Breakfast. Sausages were a bit on the cheap side. No mushrooms available. Beans a little over-cooked, maybe re-warmed? But don't get me wrong, for the money it's a decent BIG breakfast. Yum!

Don't bother. Owner is rude, unpleasant and seems to think it acceptable to mock people for their accents. Ridiculous. Avoid at all costs.

the times that I have had a meal here it as always been cooked fresh when ordered , it is always hot and large potions .this is an excellent start to the day . If there is going to be a wait the staff will politely inform you when your order is taken . I have had a meal there often as I am a local and I have NEVER had a bad one or a wrong one.

Really good bacon sandwiches served here at a very responsible price. Don't expect 5 star service, it's a cafe. Always busy serving mainly all day breakfasts.

As a resident of Newquay, I frequently travel via train with friends or on my own. Today, I reminded myself of the very reason why I stopped going to Donnas. Working in hospitality I understand that everyone sometimes isn't always bright and cheerful, especially in the morning but there's no need to be so rude! All I did was enquire how long it would take to cook a bacon sandwich and I got the reply "however long it takes!" I had 15 minutes before my train and with several diners already waiting I wondered whether I would have time, there was no sarcasm needed. Even the bottle of water seemed like I was asking for the earth. A simple 5-10 minutes would have sufficed... no need for the scoffing. Thank you for reminding why I stopped using your cafe, next time I will do what I have always done and bring my own bottle of water.

Staff (the lady) were rude and made you wait a long time to order, they got our order wrong and I asked for a plate to take the parts of the breakfast I didn't want off and she began to tell me I ordered my breakfast wrong and was shouting at the young boy who was serving the food infront of all of the customers. Food was average, nothing special. Would not go back

Proper old fashioned café Big breakfasts and other good old fashioned british comfort food. Only difference between Donnas and the old style greasy spoon, is no grease, immaculately clean with fresh cooked food really quickly served Love it!!

Never met such rude staff in all my life I have been a chef for over 40 years and did see some poor kitchen hygiene practices Asked a member of staff for info about road routes and was told go and get the info from the information desk in the town im a cook (debatable) I asked the lady in the Railway ticket the same question and she did not know what I wanted as she was not from Newquay and suggested I try this Dump no wonder they dont have much custom

After several visits my opinion has not changed, the food is freshly cooked and tastes delicious. Its not the Ritz but quality is second to none, and the cost will astound you. Don't visit Newquay without going to Donna's Café by the Station, you wont regret it. Oh by the way best take a good appetite , you will need it.

the food portions are huge here, but the let down is the staff. No smiles it's as if they don't want you there. So many signs up about not swapping items on set breakfasts. Won't be back

Miserable person running cafe. Very unfriendly. Food is ok, portions are big however customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Any request to add extra or replace certain items is bluntly refused.

Stayed at the Travelodge just across the road. Don't bother with their all you can eat muck, head to Donna's.
