Got a takeaway 14/04/24 was delivered on time, the food was cold only the cookies were warm, put it all in the bin, phoned the store & we are getting a refund, disappointed customer.

Very quick service, ordered via the app, ready for collection in 9 minutes. I was greeted straight away when I entered the store, very clean inside. Food was very hot and tasted great. Thanks 😍

Had to amend this review to one star as the pizza never even turned up. Absolutely rubbish.

Freshly prepared helpful and friendly staff

Tried to order through their app where you get 50% off for two pizzas and a side. Went to check out and it came to just over £55. Phoned them and told them to cancel the order. Went to my bank account only to find I had still been charged. I phoned them about this to find out that refunds can take 10-14 days. A corporate conglomerate taking the piss out of the everyday person.

LOL! I ordered a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and onions and they delivered a pizza with only pepperoni so I called back to say it’s not what we ordered. The guy on the phone was nice bless him, but he cant help the poor management - he said he will speak to the manager and they will send out the correct pizza unless i want a refund. I asked for a correct pizza instead of a refund and about 20 minutes after I get a call from them and the bloke said we will need to give the pizza back to the driver when they deliver a new one. I said we already ate half of that pizza because they never said that at first , so the guy said we still need to give that half pizza back 😅 I MEAN WHY? Makes me wanna question , do they actually take the leftovers and try to re sell it? Even the driver said she has no idea why they want that half back and I just laughed. Also had stomach problems this morning so I wouldn’t be surprised if I received someone else’s leftovers too. Won’t order again from there as it’s very questionable

Dominoes make the best pizza in my personal opinion. Usually order online and collect never had am issue.

Absolutely useless. Last time I used them for delivery they forgot the dip and we were told no refunds on that are available but they could deliver it an hour later than the actual pizza instead “lol”. Gave them one more chance just now, and waiting 20 mins for a pizza that was due to be ready at 17.30 - no one in store could care and less if they tried. No updates until you try and grab someone’s attention to find out what’s going on.

Speedy delivery but pizza burnt and toppings missing from both. Ordered extra mushrooms and on a large pizza could only find 2 small pieces of mushroom. First and last time using them. Not great for how much you pay!

Every time we eat Alfreton dominos we get ill so have given up ordering from their now (it has happened nearly 4 times).

I haven't even had a bite yet, but that was the best delivery driver I've ever had! He was so friendly and the food came quick!

Didn't have the option of zero stars! Absolute time wasters!! Waited by the door with a massive hanger for an hour and a half just to find out they had apparently 'knocked and called' pfft!! Child in tears as he's celiac and domino's is the only pizza house local to cater to this. Was offered a new delivery if we were willing to wait another hour...asked for refund and won't be using again!!

Will never use again ,The delivery driver charged us again and our order was over £30.Called them up and I had to prove that he taken the money of CCTV.Was told the area manager would call but that call never came,Will not be using again.

Never answer phone tried 6 times on a Friday night at 9.00pm love these Pizzas but the service is terrible we are regular customers but maybe no more

Eaten from this dominos twice and had really upset stomach in the morning both times. Even my boyfriend did the first time as he ate with me. Avoid unless you want the runs

first i get my order there was a pizza missing which i dont know how its even possible on a 2 for tuesday promo day. then i have to wait about 20 minutes so my other family members could eat without us or it would be cold. it took about 5-10 minutes of ringing to even get through to anyone. i recommend any other decent pizza place this is not worth it. dont even compensate with a free drink or something.

Absolutely appalling service which continues to get work. This year they have gone from bad to worse, whenever I call the store they are rude and unprofessional. Every order I have had over this year has been bad in 1 way or another. Either the wrong pizza, cold food, or stupidly late. Last night after waiting an hour for delivery, the order arrived and was cold, which for the cost is bloody ridiculous. Sent it back with driver, who told us to call store to re order and it would be sent out straight away. We did this, but to be told it would be atleast another hour before it arrived and if we weren't happy to complain to customer services, but it wouldn't make much of a difference as they aren't employed by Dominos. After alot of back and fourth, I said to just give me a refund, he took my email and told me I would get an email to confirm a refund is being processed, but then followed up by saying they don't have access or control over refunds. So now it's a waiting game to see if and when a refund will be issued. Absolutely disgusting customer service.

Ordered from here several times, last time I will be, man on phone very rude hour n half wait to say food taken back to store as couldn’t find house when deleivered here sever times, man said food will not be re made or warmed up…. Won’t use alfreton store again and putting complaint in higher up in this company! Customer service is a joke

I've used this store for nearly 3 years and for the first 2 years it's was hardly ever problematic and when there was an issue it was only minor . But so far this year its been so bad . At minimum every other order has been really bad . Really long deliveries. Cold food . Smashed up pizzas . Dominos head office gave me a free large pizza after my last really bad order that had taken over an hour and was delivered freezing cold but now the order came fast but looks like the pizza has been launched across a room first . Safe to say I'll just be ordering from local independent pizza takeaways .

Pizza was fresh and hot but there was hardly any topping on it. Some slices had nothing on and it was like eating a margarita rather than a 4 topping pizza!

I've had about three or four pizzas from here over the past couple of years. Always something wrong. Its just not like Dominos. The quality is low. Just strange. Tonight it was cold. Took just under an hour, but it was in and out of the oven within about 10 minutes of ordering. I'll try the Heanor one next time.

If you have any sense don't bother we waited an hour for delivery and when it arrived it was disgusting , boxes wet and collapsed and was cold when I rang to complain they offered a refund , I was just about to give her details and the line cut of , that was it couldn't get back in touch all night obviously a trick they do ! Classic pizza! Vegetarian supreme! Well managed crew and daring range of products, full of special offers blink and you'll miss it. Delivers within a wholesome range Alfreton and surrounding picturesque. Bon appetit.

Terrible service from this branch Over the last 6 months of ordering pretty much every order has turned up well over the estimated time, 2 of the orders have been wrong and 2 over cooked. To be fair to the manager I have complained and received various discounts, but I’d just prefer to get what I ordered within the specified time. Unfortunately this is the only branch which will deliver which is why I’ve continued to order, if I’m able to collect I always go to sutton in Ashfield as they have better deals and the food is always on point

Id give zero if i could. Burnt my pizza so i got a code for a free pizza. Ordered with code. Also ordered nachos and never turned up, and no refund !!! Tried ringing 10 times no answer. Disgusting service. Official complaint sent to head office.

Very Unhappy, Can't deliver pizza and struggling to fulfill orders. Waste of time, store poorly managed and the staff don't care. Then failed to deliver order and offered a 50% refund. The manager wouldn't come to the phone and bullied a poor girl called Katie into telling me a load of rubbish store policy. A 50% refund for no pizzas .. no way that's right. Eventually the simple minded manager understood we had no pizzas at all and said I'm sorry I'll refund the full amount. That took 2 hours... No food, hungry kids and a 5 day wait for the refund. Worst pizza place ever!

We bought 2 large pizzas on 30/05/2022, one was a Tandoori Hot and another was a Vegetable Supreme but the Pizza was very bad. The pizza was prepared and made to a very bad standard. We’re regular customers of this place and we buy the same pizzas every time so we knew this time it was made to a very poor standard as there was very little toppings on each of them and when we got home and seen the pizza we phoned them immediately but they didn’t give any apologies or conversation to a happy solution. Very bad service, we’ll not be going back there again.

Does buy one get one free mean something else here because it certainly doesn’t apply to the pizzas!! Went in after seeing the offer to then be asked for the full price, I’d sooner give independent businesses my trade, Dominos are overpriced and send leaflets with offers on then you go in to the shop to find they don’t offer them!!

Disgusting place, they actually allow a member of staff to work there who stinks like human fecal matter, this so called manager looks and smells as if he hasn't washed in years, his hair is as greasy as the pizza he is somehow allowed to make and his fingernails look caked in the same fecal matter he smells of. Who thought this disgusting, short tempered, and frankly smelly man-child was deserving of a manager's position needs to have a long think about their life choices.

I recently ordered a pizza for me and my wife, and the ginger delivery driver Louis was very accommodating and went above and beyond to deliver the pizza as we are not the most mobile.

It's ok limited menu compared to other locations. If you live near a pizza hut go there it's only 5 quid for a medium pizza

Took my money and after 1 hour 30 mins of wat9ng for a delivery constantly kept ringing and no answer, still now can't get through, delivery woman turned up with cold food so we turned it away, we asked for a call back and she said she can't promise anyone will call us! Absolutely disgusting service, how they have a big business and any customers is anyone's guess

Ordered over £30 worth of food, took over 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive, tried calling the store but no answer, food was cold when it arrived, sent it back, tried calling store again for a refund as advised by delivery driver but still no answer. Highly disappointed.

I wasn't very pleasant to Jack, the manager, last night after our pizza's were delivered to my former address ( my wrong) I've rang and apologised. Despite my apologies, I wanted to let you guys know, from prep to delivery you are fantastic. Thank you.

Its ok. Chef needs to take better care with the toppings on the pizza and also the cookies always come burnt.

Absolutely disgusting service from this so called 'takeaway'. Waiting for food for 3 hours, two phone calls later and the place is now closed and we are still without our pizzas and £25 down the drain. Will be getting trading standards involved as i think the manager of this place couldnt give less of a toss if he tried. Seriously disgusting, stay away from this place!

Very hit and miss of late I'm afraid. Used to be consistently good and any previous issues were minor, but recently I've had problems with over 50% of my orders, including very long waits (over 2 hours on one occasion), driver delivering to wrong address and cold or only just luke warm food. Not acceptable for the prices they charge, even if you have a voucher or go for a meal deal. Only times it has been good is when I've recently complained to head office and been issued with a free large pizza as an apology. After that it's been back to the previous issues. I often give places the benefit of the doubt in case they're just having a 'bad run', but this is beyond that. Head office need to intervene and sort the store out.

Ordered pizza in the last 2 weeks on 2 for Tuesday offer and both of us had diarrhoea. First time we thought we ate something else and just had some food posoining bug, but 2nd time straight after pizza again!!! Won't be ever buying from this shop!! Put me off for life!

Editing my review of this dominoes and its all thanks to the legend who took my order earlier. Many places offer Vegan options and in all honesty they taste like cardboard BUT I digress, my missus can't have dairy as the little one is dairy intolerant and as she's still breast fed it can really affect her, so mum has to eat none dairy and this means it's all the vegan stuff, which is seriously lacking in options and good cheese alternatives, anyway, I called up and asked if it was possible to have the vegan base and vegan cheese but add none vegan toppings, after some thinking and not being sure if he could or was even allowed to, this Legend said he'd do it, it arrived and Liz LOVED IT, she has tried soo many other vegan takeaway pizzas and all have been a drag, yours was perfect and it would be amazing if it was added to your Create your own options, so dairy intolerant folks can have the vegan base and vegan cheese but have whatever other topping they wanted. But thank you to you sir, I didn't even take your name and for that I'm sorry, you know who you are and you should most definitely take a bow dude.

Over 2 hours for delivery... Checked the tracker and said it had been delivered. Tried to call 5 times and they only picked up the phone once.. I heard voices in the background and they immediatley put the phone down. Just as I was about to leave the house and get food elsewhere but then the food arrived... Cold!

Been waiting for over an hour for our order. No one is answering the phone in store and the pizza tracker app is stuck on quality control. Totally disappointed,

Disappointing this time. One pizza was dropped, so the other two sat getting cold whilst the other was remade, only to get home and find one of the pizzas had not got the correct toppings as detailed on the label. Eventually got the correct pizza delivered but would have been nice to have eaten as a family with what we'd ordered made correctly and with a bit more care and attention to detail.

After many midweek delivered pizzas of great quality, you can imagine how disappointing this whole (unsliced) mess with the dip missing was 😫

Pizza was nice however my boyfriend and I ended up getting food poisoning not even 2 hours after eating, would never order there again!

Always good pizza and delivery is always on time, however the prices are really high, if it wasn't for the deals when you spend over a certain amount I wouldn't order at all, as a family of 5 we order 3 pizzas and a side between us and even with the one of the deals it can be close to £40, maybe they should review the pricing in line with other food outlets, especially another pizza place close to dominos alfreton where you can get almost the same order for £10 less.

Remember in the Victorian times when kids worked as thread pickers in factory's and used to get horribly maimed and injured all the time ? The management here are nearly as bad with their staff.

My son ordered 1 11" pizza and 2 lots of cookies, 1 original and 1 orange. When it arrived the pizza was stone cold, and the cookies was both orange ones. When you really looking forward to a treat at a cost of £26 i find this unacceptable, and certainly not enjoyable. DISAPPOINTED

Really disappointed with the blatant fact that management have been asked to reduce how much cheese they put on the pizzas ! 19 quid for a pizza with two toppings - cheese and pepperoni- barely any cheese ! We hadn't ordered from this store before and as a preivois assistant manager from a diffrent franchise, all I can say is Wow, through out these hard times they have carried on amazingly and the pizzas that we get are awesome... Maybe a few hiccups with offers being applied in the past, but the manager resolved them straight away... For pizza, this is now our go to place! 😊😊😁😁

If you need the receipt for you taxes you won't get one . They come up with some cheep excuses like " cash register not working "

* Please Note* this is a post about my experience with the Dominos brand overall, mainly focusing on and the fact the Area Manager never bothered to get in touch with me. Whoever manages these branches should be called out for not caring about previously loyal customers. * Edit* after being promised a refund within 24 hours and a confirmation email, I am still yet to receive either. I’ve also emailed customer services and have not heard back. Sorry to have to leave this review. I ordered food this evening, the order was accepted and was in prep (for 45 mins). I phoned to enquire as to what had happened to be told they had experienced a power cut. These things happen, but to not receive a phone call was really poor, especially when this food was for a night shift key worker, and they had accepted the order so had my details. I asked how to request a refund and after asking various questions I was told: “I don’t really know” “Refunds are requested through head office” “You should receive it automatically...I think” “I don’t know if you’ll receive a confirmation” “The manager is busy” “There’s nothing I can do about your refund” Really poor Dominos...seems the Manager and Area Manager need to ensure training has been completed in their store/geographical area for people who are going to try and help customers. I’m still left wondering: Will I get a refund now I’ve requested one? When? What about an apology? Definitely a 1 star service

Toppings could be a bit more generous.

Ordered my pizza came with barely any toppings ordered chicken kickers on the side they didn't send these sent garlic breads instead called the store and they just started laughing! Was promised a refund but it's never materialised! Appalling service!!!

Tried my first Dominos pizza recently at a friends birthday party where 8 of us ordered pizza and sides- we paired up and took advantage of one of the deals (two pizzas and two sides for £26, which worked out at £13 each). Tasty pizzas which come with garlic dips too! I had a Hawaiian pizza with garlic strips side.

Worse dominos I've ever been to, this is the first dominos i dont like (I've been to alot off different dominos) I've tryed them a few times now and everytime the pizzas have little toppings and taste out off date, the nachos are burnt probably because theres next to no toppings so there just cooking plain nachos would never go to them again

Ordered fast food lol. Took 1hr 50mins to come. Turns up cold. Must have been sat on their hot plate for an hour. I was tracking the order and it was being quality checked for at least 40 mins. Will not use again

Delivery is super quick at this place but the pizzas always different depending who's made it. Bit pricy so only have as a rare treat now.

I've been ordering from here for over 5 years with no issues and suddenly they no longer deliver to my address as it's too far away even though it's less than 3 miles away?

Had domino pizza from different areas and all great..but the store in Alfreton is shocking.. ordered a pizza online which took 1hr 20 min to arrive and was stone cold so sent it back..now it takes 7 days for a refund for my money back.. absolutely disgusting..UPDATE IT HAS NOW BEEN 7 DAYS AND NO REFUND...SO A TRIP TO THE SHOP AND A COMPLAINT GOING INTO DOMINO'S HEADQUARTERS

I appreciate that the online estimate of 25 minutes was optimistic and would have been content to wait longer. However having to wait 1 hour 30 minutes to get 2 cold pizzas is really an unacceptable level of service. No explanation or apology was offered either from the store when ringing or driver on arrival. This and the number of reviews with similar experiences suggests this is business as usual and won't be changing anytime soon.

We enjoy dominos food usually but the Alfreton branch delivered us a pizza which took over 35 minutes, it arrived cold and stale. Extremely disappointed and it went in the bin . I don’t know what standards they are operating under but it certainly is not domino’s usual standard. We ordered on line and sorry to say will never order again . Having seen the reviews , it seems we are not the only disappointed customer.

A few instances now where all items not delivered. Was offered money off next ti.e but this dod not materialise.....Shabby Update, had not used for a few months due to terrible service...I can confirm nothing has changed......

The pizzas are of course delicious but the service is ridiculous. Arrived for a collection at 6.10 board said ready. 45mins later I'm still sat waiting. No one knows what they are doing or darent do it if they did because of the awful man in charge who shouts abuse at them.

Ordered a pizza and sides for delivery, however they were 20 minutes over the expected delivery time and all items were cold. Rang up to complain and it was handled very easily and our order was re-made and prioritised to be delivered and came within half an hour. Poor first service on delivery, however it was dealt with very well after that.

Not impressed at all our pizza and garlic bread arrived cold . The pizza topping was pratally nothing to the point slices had nothing on it. Pizza was also burnt and cookies were still Raw we could still taste the raw ingredints.

Ordered 2 pizzas first a gluten free and the other standard both were undersized and hadent been cut up, after phoning the store to complain both a staff member and the manager both agreed they shouldnt be that size but did not apologise and said there's nothing they can do and hung up🍕 quality checking? I doubt it.

Ordered an American hot but not what I'd got when I opened it at home, had mushrooms and chicken on it can't stand bloody mushrooms had to pick them off to eat what they had given me. So check what they give you before you leave!

Never experienced such a terrible pizza, it was cold when it arrived. Terrible customer service, complained and they just said that they are sorry they can't meet my expectations (of getting a hot pizza). Do not order from this Dominos branch.

Great pizza,speedy prep and cook and very tasty

You roll the dice and you takes your chance! Sometimes it arrives on time, hot and tasty, other times you wait 2.5 hours for stone cold, rock hard discs of solid bread topped with congealed mammory fluid, rotting vegetables and meat that looks and tastes like it’s been around since the last ice age. If you call to complain a snotty teenager will give you a copious dose of attitude and bemoan his lack of delivery drivers . Save yourself the disappointment of a long wait and simply stuff £40 up your bottom and eat some wood chippings, old newspapers or similarly tasteless, non nutritious matter

Went in and 1 the guy behind the counter was swearing and 2 they had to remake the pizza because they messed it up and then they tried to say it ripped, it had actually been made wrong!!

The worst pizza and service around. Better off buying a pizza from Iceland. The service was poor the manager rude and unhelpful.
