Dollies Pizza Plaice in Barnsley

I ordered the Sunday dinner with roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. I also asked for roast chicken as extra, the meat was succulent and the roast potatoes and the vegetables were really nice, not over cooked. The place looks clean and the service from the staff was really friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this place and will be ordering again.

Today (23/9/23): Excellent freshly cooked fish and chip lunch. Team will be busy tomorrow - averaging 50-70 weekly Sunday Lunches (£7.50 for full roast dinner) delivered to customers. £2.95 extra gets you a cracking pudding too. Sunday lunch has choice of roasts, choice of potatoes, about 6-8 different veg choices etc. Puddings, must be a choice of about 6-8. His elderly customers love them, and he can do I mixed delivery requests, so if the whole family are around you can have a mix of roasts, fish and chips and/or Pizzas etc in one delivery. Whilst I waited I chatted to the owner and was amazed to hear what he does for the local community, including Sunday lunches; Christmas dinners etc. What a star he is! And his fish and chips are better than anything I've had in Milton Keynes!

Absolutely disgusting takeaway ! Spent £26 for sons birthday lunch ! Fish had skin on and meat was brown ! Felt sick afterwards! All the chips went in bin cos they wasn’t cooked properly was really white and hard ! Gravy was disgusting! Only pizza what’s food probably hence the name of takeaway! Don’t have a clue how to cook fish and chips ! Don’t waste your money

Started ordering from here recently using the just eat app, and found what has to be the best chippy in Barnsley, massive portions, everything comes well wrapped and warm, even found I could order scraps using the message to restaurant on the app (didn't think I'd her get them but got a nice big bag full) thanks 😀

This chippy does it all. Beautiful food after ordering today. Kebab was spot on! Pizza & garlic bread was gorgeous. Kids fish bits & kids meals were ample for the money! Warm & friendly staff, very welcoming. Will definitely be returning. ***It’s recently changed hands so any bad reviews I’d recommend trying again***

This shop needs to find a new fryer. Batter on fish not full cooked and some chips still hard in centre. Gravy tastes like straight bisto. Good size portions but no way doe sit make up for the poor quality of frying. First time trying but might have just dropped unlucky. Will try again and if it's the same my advice would be stay clear

I orderd 2 Sunday dinners for the first time from Wayne's plaice and it was absolutely gorgeous! The portion sizes are plentiful! it was all cooked to perfection especially the beef it just melted in my mouth! Great food great value for money and a fast and friendly delivery service what more can you ask for! will defenatly be ordering again next sunday. highly recommended.

Waited hour half ordered mixed kebab the kebab meat was like it was week old the chicken part I cudnt even make out wot it was a ball ov burnt inedible not fit for consumption cudnt belive Sumone actually put that together and had the check to serve it to the public and charge me was takeaway have ever seen SHOCKING !

Stops frying at 8 ready to close at 9. I felt that I was a real pain asking for fish and chips at 8.30. Pi's was not a Pukka pie as advertised.
