Stayed here recently for a few nights whilst working away. Good location as it can't be seen too easily from main roads nearby (better for keeping vans out of sight overnight). The room was as you'd expect for a Premier Inn clean enough, comfy bed, TV in the room, and the water pressure in the shower was really good, definitely a bonus after a day's graft. Staff were friendly polite and helpful, And Katy made our evening with both her incredible service and banter. The food was good, evening menu was 'pub grub' food with healthy portion sizes and breakfast options were also good. Did see rats scurrying around outside on a few occasions but didn't notice any rodent traps placed anywhere, something could be done about this. Overall a good stay, what you would expect from a Premier Inn.

The hotel is very clean and tidy, if you are traveling for work it's grand. The best thing about the hotel is the service, all the staff are great, particularly my wee pal Katy

Had a lovely evening at this hotel, made special by a very cheerful, and welcoming Katie. She was enthusiastic, warm, helpful, and very polite. She’s a credit to the premier Inn.

Great stay, travelling for work solo as a woman, Premier Inn have it covered! So so impressed, not having to say room numbers, being located not down the end of the corridor etc! Katy in the restaurant was also really lovely too :)

Ideal place to stay when visiting work HQ near Barnsley. Some noise from construction going on opposite but not too bothersome. Rooms furnished and cleaned to a very good standard. Quite hot at night but room fan provided. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ate at onsite restaurant which is also being refurbished, good variety at breakfast and restaurant staff also lovely. Steak was well cooked and brownie dessert excellent

I really enjoyed my stay at this Premier Inn. The building is lovely and the interior is welcoming and clean. All the staff are super friendly and really helpful. My room was very clean and had plenty of space. I had an excellent few nights sleep on the very comfy bed. The bathroom was spotless too with a powerful, full shower. I was equally impressed by the cooked breakfast. Each morning, consistently well cooked and included surprisingly high quality produce. I would happily stay here again and would recommend to friends and family. They say you get what you pay for. Well, for a budget hotel, I feel I got much more than I paid for.

A great night's sleep following a long drive. Clean, comfortable rooms with lovely service from the two ladies we met on duty during our check in and check out. Fan in room helpful, hairdryer and complete blackout provided by the curtains. The bath filled quickly. Toiletries provides at the sink and bath along with a hospitality tray and kettle in the room. Booked breakfast for the Brewers fayre next door in the morning. Great place to stop over, good location being a short drive away from Barnsley and a retail park.

A good Premier Inn with pub attached for dinner and breakfast if required. I wish they had facilities to charge electric cars though.

Very disappointed we had a party off 8 who arrived at 1,30 in the afternoon after we left glasgow at 8am a long drive so hoped we would have a warm friendly welcome when we arrived but nope we were told you can't get into your rooms unless you pay a £10 charge ok we know there is a cheack in time with.most hotels but after a 5 hour drive it would have been nice to try and even accommodate us on entering room very disappointed furniture very dated and let's the whole premier inn image let down so we booked for dinner staff where pleasant we all enjoyed our food but restaurant was freezing cold did mentioned this to reception who said I thought they got the heating fixed so she obviously knew there has been a problem over all feel very let down and won't be back

There was 8 of us coming from glasgow for a family funeral. Arrived with all the clothes and was told we couldn't get in the rooms to 3pm so we asked is any ready and we could just put stuff in room and freshen up a bit as we had been travelling from 8am and it was 1.30pm we were then told if we paid £10 the room would be ready. Couldn't believe what the girl said so after thinking about it I paid the £10 so we could all get a rest and freshen up. We had got the meal deal which is great for the money the meals were nice. But they never told us the heating wasn't working in the restaurant and it was freezing which made us all eat our dinners quickly. The rooms do need done up and bit dated but bed as always very comfy.

We enjoyed; Sunday Roast – Beef (£16.50) + Chicken (£15.95); both served with mash, Yorkshire pud, duck fat roasties, honey-roasted carrots & parsnips, cabbage, stuffing and gravy (GF gravy available) – these were served on massive plates so it looked like there wasn’t much, but there was definitely ample amounts. Everything was cooked to our liking and no complaints. We were definitely full afterwards. NOTE – other meals coming out of the kitchen looked like MASSIVE portions including Kids meals, something to bear in mind. Bakewell Tart with Custard (£7.50); a massive portion and lots of creamy custard. Really enjoyed this 🍰 We pre-booked a table but there’s lots of room to dine here, so I think walk ins would be fine. We enjoyed the food and drinks and the staff were friendly and welcoming. In total we spent £54 for 2 Sunday roasts, a dessert & 3 pints. The Pub has a large menu including Lunch and an Outdoor Menu. There is limited options for Vegans, but more choice for Vegetarians. They also offer a Bottomless Brunch Monday to Saturday 12pm – 5pm, 2 hours for £34.95 AND they offer a free meal on your Birthday here as well. Opening times: Mon & Tues 3pm – 8pm, Wed to Sun 12pm – 11pm

Premier Inn (the company not the staff) have treat us with absolutely and utter contempt placing our health at risk and putting profit above all by placing us in a room which had recently flooded. On checking in to the hotel the member of staff at reception reported to us that there had previously been a problem with our room (room 31) in that the room had previously been flooded and it still smelt following the flood but assured us the room was clean and safe to inhabit. On entering the room the smell was worse than I expected and was overpowering, it was uncomfortable to stay in the room due to the smell, however after complaining to the reception and making the staff member aware of my wifes asthma which was aggravated by the conditions in the room, we were told there were no other rooms available and thus we had no choice but to stick it out as we had no other options available, nor could we receive a refund. Through the night the smell was so acrid I could actually feel it at the back of my throat and after a terrible night of broken sleep I arose the next day with a headache (I attribute this to the overpowering and acrid smell). Our stay at this hotel in Room 31 was absolutely unacceptable, to put a family in a room with a known problem (for a full fee I might add) just shows absolute and utter contempt for the customer and falls way below the standards I accept from the company. Its utterly disgusting that Premier Inn are willing to risk the health of customers by still using the room in its current state all in the name of profit. I would seriously ask whether the Director or higher level management would stay in this room with thier families. I very much doubt it!

We ordered food for takeaway. We was missing half of our order. The food was freezing. The chicken was raw. When I called them up to explain the situation they were not helpful and just offered to give us a voucher to come back. This is the second time now we have ordered from them And we have had issues with the food and service. I would not recommend
