Dojo in Harrow

Ten family and friends went for an early dinner to celebrate a birthday. We ordered the drinks and when the waiter was delivering them to the table he dropped the complete tray load of drinks over two guests absolutely drenching them in beer and wine. The two guests had to go home to change clothes. The waiter apologised and brought kitchen roll to soak up the mess he had made. The food arrived very quickly to quickly in fact, it was rushed to get us served so they could prepare the table for more guests, it was chaos to put it mildly. When we went to settle the bill they had added the service charge on. Asked to speak to the manager but he was not available. All in all the food was ok the service was very poor indeed. Would we go back, unfortunately no. Full of very young rowdy people, prefer somewhere with better clientele and less manic.

Recently moved to the area so first time trying this restaurant. Food was exceptional. Amazing vegan options - I highly recommend the rendang curry. Our server Fiza was very attentive and helpful, making our experience even more enjoyable. We can’t wait to come back to try the rest of the menu!

We sat outside in the garden lounge and they had lovely heaters, the food was top notch, absolutely delicious and hot. Wide range of vegetarian and vegan food available with clearly marked menus. Also a fantastic variety of drinks. Our server was called Pushpa and he was so nice!! Highly recommend going there and we're definitely going back!

Visited in summer 2024 with a group of female friends. We got there 10 minutes before our reservation and found it a bit disorganised being shown to our table. We asked for some water for the table as soon as we were seated, but we're ignored even though we were given menus immediately. We asked for water a further 3 times, having to flag down staff to get their attention, but still no water was forthcoming. Only after we ordered bottles of wine and Prosecco did they then bring the water, and this was 30 minutes after we were seated. We were then worried that our food order would take forever, but thankfully, the food dishes came out quickly. The food was good but I wouldn't say it was excellent. We had to request a couple of items again that they had forgotten, which was slightly irksome. The service was friendly (when you could actually get someone to come over), but overall, it was lacking. For the size of the venue and the number of people they cram into the place, they seriously need to be more organised. The DJ was ok, but we also found it annoying that he would play about a minute of a song and then suddenly change it. The dance floor was an absolute nightmare, with people dancing with their pint glasses and cocktails and spilling them everywhere. Out of 7 in our group, we all had drinks spilt on us. We asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill, which they caused a huge fuss about! We gave our main server a £20 cash tip as he felt he deserved it. We split the bill between us, and it was just over £35 each, including drinks. Overcrowded and overhyped is my overall opinion. I'd heard lots of things about Dojo, but now I've been, I won't be returning.

A nice change of cuisine to the area. We only had the bites and desserts during our first visit, and while it wasn't amazing, it was still enjoyable with decent portion sizes. The hot chocolate volcano and cocktails were a bit of a letdown, though. Since then, there's been an improvement in both the service and the food. The dishes were more refined, and the staff seemed better organised even when it's been busy. The venue is still lovely and vibrant, and the overall experience has definitely elevated.

The best Pan Asian restaurant in the area. Lived the food, ambience and service.

Food, ambience, and service are excellent. DJ is the weakest link here. I would say arrogant to some Extent. I went up to him 3/4 times (yesterday, Saturday night) and requested any punjabi song, but he straight away refused quite arrogantly. I was sober and courteous. You need to understand that politeness is the first lesson and the essence of the hospitality industry, and I think he missed the day it was being taught. May go there again sometime to enjoy the food and hopefully not to see the same DJ again.

Food was good, excellent vegetarian options. Drinks a bit dear and unfortunately we had a large party on table close to us which meant the service which started excellent was pretty poor by the end.

A group of 6 of us had lunch at Dojo on Sat 1.3.25.Really enjoyed the whole afternoon. The staff were very welcoming, food yummy , esp the the Thai and Malaysia curries. Service was excellent throughout by all staff , Susmeeta in particular

Decided to try this place for a family birthday and we found the food overpriced as the portions were small. The atmosphere was too busy and felt crammed. We had two unsteady tables. A small piece of cake came out to celebrate the birthday which was nice but then we were told to pay for it even though we did not request it. Although our waiters were overall okay, we would not recommend it.

Our server prince was a really nice and friendly guy. Service was very good and so was the food. The momos came out slightly broken though.

Emanuel was really brilliant. He gave us the right choices and suggestions. He was so involved in our day out for a family birthday lunch. He decorated the ice cream plate for the occasion. The ambience is great and the food is really good. Don't mind going back again.

The ambience and atrium at the back were lovely. We were seen to our table at the set time and the welcome was pleasant . It’s a good space and the Pan-Asian choice of food was excellent . Lovely bar afterwards with great music to dance to and excellent cocktails. An excellent evening all-round.

A mix of Indian, Japanese, Korean, Thai fusion food that fun but not authentic. Some are very Tasty like the prawns in black bean and mango sauce. Others like the pad thai is mediocre. Sushi definitely not Japanese good! Dumpling pastry way too thick but the filling is unique and tasty. Great atmosphere and service was good. The place id packed even on a week day.

A great place that serves delicious food and the service was outstanding. Good options for veg and non veg lovers. Even though the place was packed, Manvel took care of us so well and made it a memorable evening! 10/10 for service. The only negative thing was - place is very noisy! It’s the guests.. 😊

Place was nice food was good the let down was the service. As we had booked for a certain time my friend who made the booking rang sevwral times to confirm the booking as it wasnt one of their normal slots but they agreed to take the booking. Everything was confired and updayed as one friend couldnt attend, we had to wait awhile for drinks and food and then were rushed as they had booked over our slot that was originally 2hrs but we got about 1 hour &20mins wasn't impressed. As we were asked if we wanted dessert then when we're were about to order told we couldn't be served because we had to leave as the table was booked. No alternative was offered like sitting at the bar or seating in the other area, won't be rushing back here that's for sure.

Very busy place and such great atmosphere. The food was amazing and the waiter named Manuel made us feel very welcome has given us excellent advice on what to order. Definitely not our last visit!

He went above and beyond, checking in on us regularly, recommending excellent dishes, and making sure we had everything we needed. His genuine and warm personality truly set him apart from the rest of the staff. It’s rare to find such attentive and thoughtful service, and Pierson made our valentines truly memorable. Highly recommend asking for him if you dine here!

Not been here before. It was my wifes birthday so she was surfing the net to locate good restaurant,chose Dojo in Hatchend for 3 course lunch for £20 each For starters wife had crispy fish goujons and i had spicy chicken wings, mains were chicken curry with rice and panangchicken with fried rice. Sweets were passion fruit cheesecake and brownie with ice cream. All the foods were delicious and filling. The waiter Pushpar was as waiters should be, polite, efficient and welcoming. We will definitely be going back to Dojo in Hatchend.

Terrible Allergy Handling & Aggressive Bouncers – Avoid! I was part of a group that attended DOJO Restaurant on New Year's Eve, and what should have been a great night turned into a complete disaster due to the restaurant’s shocking behavior. First, one of the guests suffered a severe allergic reaction, despite informing the staff about their allergy beforehand. Instead of showing concern or offering help, the staff completely dismissed the situation, claiming they were ‘not medically trained to help.’ While they may not be medically trained, it doesn’t take special training to check on someone who is clearly in distress. Even worse, someone was overheard saying, “She didn’t die, did she?”—a truly disgusting response to a serious situation. We had pre-paid £100 per person for the event, and the manager agreed that any additional charges resulting from the situation, due to the allergic reaction, would be on the house as a gesture of goodwill. However, this wasn’t clearly communicated to the bouncers, who stopped us from trying to leave the venue, further escalating the tension. When members of the group questioned how the incident was handled, things turned more chaotic. The owner forcibly took someone’s phone while they were trying to record the discussion, which only made matters worse. Rather than dealing with things professionally, the bouncers became unnecessarily aggressive and forcibly removed multiple people from the venue. The level of force used was completely unacceptable—one female guest was pushed to the ground and left with bruises. Others were shoved, grabbed, and physically manhandled in a way that should never happen in a professional establishment. Looking at past reviews and speaking to others who have attended DOJO Restaurant, it’s clear this isn't an isolated incident. The restaurant has previously been criticized for: - Poor handling of food allergies - Attempts to add unordered items to the bill - Rude and aggressive doormen/bouncers This was an awful experience to witness, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. A restaurant should be a safe and welcoming environment for customers—not a place where guests are ignored, mistreated, or physically handled by staff and security. Avoid at all costs!

So where should I start with! Just one of most happening place from dining to food also from servers (Manual & Prince) to ambiance also on weekends they got clubbing till late night. It’s upscale also way too many vegetarian dishes too!! 💫💫💫💫💫

Having scoured over the restaurants all over London and beyond, I wasn’t very certain if this ‘local gem’ will live up to its reviews. Anyway, I decided to visit here today and was delighted by the quality of the food and the impecable service. I tried a few different things from their menu and my taste buds were tingling with the subtle flavours that were infused in the food. Their signature dish : honey chilli lotus stems was ummm… terrific . The mushroom bao buns were wholesome (yet light ) and their pad Thai reminded me of eating this dish on the streets of Thailand . The service was impeccable too. Would love to visit them again to try more dishes from their menu . If you’ve not yet been there, I recommend that you do

Amazing food. The vegetarian selection is amazing. The veg sushi platter is the best I've ever had. Staff are really friendly and their Friday and Saturday nights are great with the dj. This is my go to restaurant outside Central London. I'm kicking off my 40th birthday celebrations this month by coming here first!

We tried this restaurant after seeing good reviews on Google. The food was great, and the servers were really friendly and helpful, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the hostess who greeted us made the experience unpleasant. She told us there were no tables available, but thankfully another staff member stepped in and found us one. We were told we had a 2-hour limit for the table, which was fine, but as soon as we paid, the hostess had the servers tell us to leave, even though we were already getting ready to go. Her attitude made the whole experience feel awkward and hostile, which was disappointing because the food and service from the other staff were excellent. This could’ve been a great experience if it wasn’t for that.

Absolutely wonderful food and incredible service, wife booked us a table for our anniversary here. The sushi was divine, fresh and tasty. The Kung Pow chicken was beautifully seasoned and extremely tasty, the red Thai curry was wonderful. We shall be returning to try the sushi platter. Highly recommended 👍🏻

Excellent food, ambience and service. Sushmita was fabulous . My daughter wanted a brownie, which was not available, but she saw my daughter getting disappointed and specially arranged the brownie for her. The brownie was yummy and very well presented.

His friendly demeanour and genuine care contributed significantly to the joyful atmosphere. The entire staff at Dojo showed warmth and hospitality.
