Nice garden centre with a wide range of choices but please avoid the cafe. My daughter and I visited yesterday and it was a complete disaster. We ordered a baguette, dessert and drink each. The baguette was stale, my daughters came with half the top missing. The drinks were awful, afterwards we were told they were out of syrup and the desserts were dry. We literally left after a mouthful of each. To compound things of to the side of use an elderly ladies chair broke and she fell and the staff just stood behind the counter and laughed. Disgusting food and disgusting behaviour. Thank you for your reply Karen, it seems from reading your reviews you just copy and paste these generic replies and nothing gets done.

Popped in and decided to have some lunch. The prices were a shock, very expensive *8 pounds for a sandwich! My daughter had a toastie (which was luke warm) I had a scone which was cold and quite hard. There is no way they are homemade as the menu suggests. It took so long to be seated and get drinks (I actually collected our drinks as I'd watched multiple staff members walk past them) so didn't bother complaining. Staff were pleasant but you could tell there was a lack of communication and they clearly did not want to be there. Won't be going again!

Went to the Restaurant, the chairs are very stained, they are white fabric but doesn't look very welcoming. Food was okay, I would suggest ingredients were on the cheaper side, cost of a panini is on the higher side compared to other establishments I have been to. Salad had no dressing and when I asked for some was told there was none available, use the mayonnaise which unfortunately I cannot consume. Made the lady who took payment aware she said it was a supplier issue and would inform the manager Overall staff were very pleasant and nice, food was prompt.

My husband and I have visited Dobbies of Cirencester for a number of years now and always enjoyed their cakes. Unfortunately we had a really bad experience on Sunday as my almond croissant was really stale. I complained and was offered a replacement cake so opted for the carrot cake which was acceptable. The lady behind me in the queue also purchased a stale cake which she returned. People in the queue also complained about purchasing stale cakes. This is not acceptable and makes you question how the rest of the restaurant is managed. My stale cake cost me £3.49 and makes me question whether I will shop on Dobbies again! Very disappointed!!

Good range of certain products, especially house plants, bird feeders and food. However it is not acceptable to charge £5 more per unit of fat blocks than you can get delivered to your home from Amazon for free. We don’t even bother with the self service queue now as the queue is always so long (mainly due to just one staff member doing all drinks - crazy system). Visited today to do a little Christmas shopping and have some lunch as we do every Christmas. We do come at other times. The toilets were disgusting at 11.30am. Toilet paper all over the floor in most cubicles and an over flowing sanitary disposal unit. Mirrors filthy. However the cafe was unfortunately no better. Dirty tables with dirty utensils which when we asked for replacements were equally dirty. Filthy glassware with lip marks on it. To finish us off, slimy, black, rotten salad leaves. When we mentioned this, the Team Leader said I don't eat salad so have no idea if it's acceptable. Shopping experience no better, empty shelves and many items not priced. Such a shame.

We visited the restaurant on the 19/11/23. The queue was short, and were quickly shown to our table. After waiting 15 minutes we had to attract someone's attention so we could place an order for 2 coffees and 2 breakfasts. The coffees arrived arrived 40 minutes later, we waited another 1/2 hr and there was food being served to the tables around us. We asked the waiter where where our food was, he wondered off, and didn't come back so we chased our order with a waitress, she came back to inform us that the food would be out shortly. A few minutes later the original waiter returned to say the kitchen doesn't have our food order and there was nothing he could do about it as they were no longer serving breakfast. At this point we had been in the restaurant over 1-1/2 hrs. We then asked the original waitress who was in charge, we were pointed towards the manager, who advised we could go to the till for a refund. We then to queue at the till for a refund as several other customers were also complaining and requesting refunds. The service we received was worse than appalling. If they can't cope with the volume of people in the restaurant, they need to inform people they will a delay before they are seated. I wait of over an hour is totally unacceptable for a cooked breakfast, especially as the restaurant wasn't full. We will not be visiting the restaurant again.

We sat and chatted with no rush. On leaving I picked up a lovely plant Bird of paradise. Normally you don't see them for less than £100 but this was half that. Wonderful two hours with my daughter. April 1st visited dobbies and enjoyed two meals at reasonable cost and as a club card holder had two large coffees for free to go with the meal. We'll cooked fish and chips crispy excellent service. Most of the scone ended in crumbs on the plate and floor! Dreadful quality. Plus £1.25 for a tiny box of raisins is a p.ss take. Shall be avoiding Dobbies in the future. Oh and don't bother reporting this review to the Store Management, they obviously haven't acted on previous reviews! I wish I had checked them before wasting my £. It’s safe to say the previous poor reviews regards Queues, Cleanliness and sorry to say but on two occasions this week the attitude of staff are correct, on our first visit we stood waiting for a table in the restaurant for 37 minutes, at this point I approached a member of staff to ascertain approximate wait time, we were told that they were extremely busy and that we’d be dealt with as soon as possible, there were many empty tables and even more tables that needed cleaning, bearing in mind we witnessed staff stood around chatting for a considerable amount whilst stood in the Queue we found this response amazing. On our 2nd visit this during the same week (Gluten for punishment) we attended the restaurant again and due to no seats in the cafe area we sat in the first seats available in the restaurant, within seconds we were informed we could not sit in this area and myself and elderly father in law were removed immediately and told to stand in the cafe queue, on the basis that a table in the cafe would be available by the time we’d been served! This again is appalling customer service, my father in law is in his late 70’s with spinal issues, standing in the cafe queue for 45 minutes really isn’t an option, however the member of staff had zero compassion and we were moved on. Safe to say the poor customer service wasn’t a one off it’s breed in to the staff.. Early in the week we also had the delight of their internet system dropping out and them not being able to take card payments, surely in this day and age they could have a 4 or even 5g back up.. not sure how a company of this size can survive loosing an afternoon of card payment revenue, I mean who takes enough cash with them to pay for afternoon of Dobbie wandering. Also worth mentioning that the dog friendly and not dog friendly tables in the cafe are within feet of each other, my son has an dog allergy and there is nothing to stop a family with dogs sat right next to us..

I went to Dobbies today and was shocked with how badly it's run. It's important to say that the staff they have are brilliant but there are not enough of them. When we got to the cafe, we decided to just have tea and cake as not only was there a long queue for the restaurant but there was a really restricted menu. The poor guy on the coffee counter was on his own at 1.30pm on a bank holiday Sunday! He was doing a great job but had to keep leaving the counter to get clean cups etc to serve customers. There were trays of used china all over the place, no clean tables and in the whole two restaurants, I counted 4 staff. I'm not sure why they staff the restaurant so badly when it's the busiest part of the business? I counted 8 staff in the outdoor plant section. It doesn't make sense. Fabulous place, great cafe (if a little pricey - but children eat free before 3pm, so that's handy) also waitrose, lakeland, regatta & cook shops inside. Plus a fabulous aquarium

Ordered fish & chips, fish was very hot and crispy but the chips and peas were tepid - wife ordered the quiche, hard and dry very unpaletable. Long queue for a table, though it could be seen many tables unoccuppied or not cleard and prepared. All round not impressed.

Really good garden centre. Play park for the kids, nice restaurant / cafe. Getting out the car park and heading right can take a while if traffic is busy. Better to go left (500 metres) to the round about and turn around that way.

Don't go looking for the BHF book collection point, it's not there and staff know nothing of it.

Visited Sunday 16th about 3.20. Joined a queue for a cup of tea. Never again. Waited for more than half an hour - slow, not enough staff.Declined a piece of cake, massively over priced. A sad experience, not to be repeated. Such sentiments expressed by other disappointed customers.

Stopped to look round garden centre. Had a coffee and piece of cake which was fine. Staff very laid back , no sense of urgency for people waiting in queue. Tables needed clearing and when eventually cleared were not wiped down at all - areas a little grubby

£6.50 for a child’s lunch box is a bit much . granted it has several items in but to be honest you could reduce the content by the yoghurt and aim for a £5 charge? I found the tomato soup extremely salty so altogether a little disappointed. rest of hot food looked good .

A great place to stop on the Fosseway. Bright glass conservatory with lots of outdoor space. Fantastic local food menu which was well cooked and presented. This will become a regular stop when travelling this way.

On a very wet day walking from the Corinium Museum the warmth and busyness of Keith's was attracting quite a few people. Quick and efficient service of coffee and cake/scone, and a lot more tables available than you can see from the street. Very wide selection of speciality teas and coffees on offer, together with attractive containers.

I had a HOT chocolate but it was a COLD chocolate instead. The worker was rude and I had to pay £1.20 extra for marshmallows and cream. This is ABOMINABLE!
