As always, great coffee with multiple options to suit all, including lactose free milk. The menu has so much to offer, I'd recommend the nacho's, a personal favourite. A huge cakes selection to go with all the coffee's on offer. Most importantly of all, the friendly & supportive staff, truly have become friends over the years.

Visited on Sunday morning for breakfast with my husband and daughter for the first time and was not disappointed. Full breakfast was very tasty however the bacon was slightly fatty and not as crispy as would have liked (not the biggest deal) my daughter said her pancakes were the best she had tasted and my eggs benedict was cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, overall a great experience. Wish we knew dogs were welcome, will be sure to return soon with our furry friends.

Older member of staff unlocked door but left it closed, then sarcastically said the door was open! Not the welcome that we expected! Vocal about just being open and serving certain items with the full breakfast! Couldn't fault the food when it came! Just the services when we 1st arrived!

The older staff member who served my friend and I, insisted that although I was ordering extra and that we were paying separately for our food and drinks, that we had only to use one tray because she has to collect them. We were then ordered to give drink orders when I requested a scone. When my friend asked for a jug of hot water because she liked weak tea, she was told to take the tea bag out earlier. This abrupt and rude manner continued until it became obvious that another tray would be necessary. My friend and I spread the load between two trays. We are both elderly and have arthritis, so carrying one heavy tray would have been difficult. This member of staff never took that into consideration. I have always enjoyed the food and service at D'nisi, but this member of staff would put me off going there.

Been here plenty times before. Whenever I visit Hamilton, I will come here for a breakfast and/or a coffee. Service is always excellent very polite and friendly staff. They were always so helpful with my elder grandad when he came in. Coffee is beautiful, I just had the special blend which is also lovely. Breakfast I can only speak on the bacon and maple syrup pancakes which I highly rated. I would highly recommend to anyone. If I come to stay or visit Hamilton I will always stop in and if I am with someone I will drag them along.

Best tasting scones and Dog Friendly . What tops that? Very partial to a good scone and have always ranked D’nisi as the best place by far. However, the Royal scones from the Hamilton cafe have to be the best of the best. Great size, packed full of fruit and extremely tasty. Good tasting coffee to add to the mix always welcomed. To top all of this off, the front inside section of the cafe is dog friendly, so it means I can bring my dog along. She’s always welcomed and gets lots of cuddles!. It’s a very busy cafe, so at times you do have to wait, but it’s worth it. Highly recommended if you love great scones.

Frequently visit with my mum. It's our favourite place in Hamilton for a catch up. The decor is stunning very relaxing and peaceful. The ladies are always so pleasant especially the blonde lady I'm sure her name is Sharon who goes above and beyond. We are always greeted with a smile and the staff can't do enough to help you. We normally get a toastie and soup ( home made soup is TO DIE FOR especially the sweet potato) but equally the home made pancakes are delicious and the scones. Could not recommend this place enough

I have just been served the worst breakfast ever. My sausages, bacon were only just edible with no colour on them at all, my potato scone had a dip of grease in the middle, my black pudding was inedible and my toast was hard as cardboard The lady who served me immediately told me that my breakfast would take 10 minutes and I said that’s absolutely fine - I would hope if cooked fresh that it would take time - she then proceeded to make my coffee and I asked if I could have it when my breakfast came. This seemed a difficult request for her to deal with saying how they had only opened 20 minutes ago and generally making me feel very unwelcome as if it was my fault? And then the food arrived! Really dreadful and completely rushed without care taken over the cooking. By this time I couldn’t be bothered even complaining so just left

Popped in having went out a walk on the public holiday. Felt very unwelcome almost immediately by two out of the three staff with them clearly attempting to deter us staying. They told anyone who would listen they were trying to shut, the cafe was mobbed!!! Not sure why they opened If they don’t want customers. I like to support local businesses so have been in before but noticed the staff appear unpleasant at times but put this down to them being stressed or busy however this is the last time I will visit.

At 0845 on a wet and cold morning it was nice to find somewhere open and with a nice warm fire. However, the person on duty was not very welcoming. I asked for porridge from the menu but was told unavailable. I asked for the yoghurt from the menu but also unavailable. " Nobody wants it...." Well why have them on the menu? Had toast, which was nice. Coffee is also quite expensive, especially if you want a double shot. So nice, environment but would benefit from being more welcoming and with some healthy options please, as advertised.

We popped into D'nisi for a light lunch. You pick a table then order at the counter which was quite a slow process as each person got their drinks produced by the person taking the order. As we started to order we were told everything on the specials board was off so we all had to pick again. Food ordered and drinks collected we sat down back at the table. The food arrived in about 20 minutes, which was ok and gave us time to enjoy what was some lovely columbian coffee. The food was fresh and nice. My ciabatta was lovely with creamy coleslaw and wedges. It wasn't the best value at £32 for a ciabatta a baked potato and cheesy wedges plus 3 drinks but the food was nice. Bar the small question of value and lack of specials our experience was a good one, would definitely recommend the coffee!

This is my go-to place in Hamilton for a coffee and cake. The decor is lovely with a real fire (at least it looks real) at the back which gives a lovely toasty feel on a cold day. Comfortable and clean booths and tables. Also some tables outside.Their scones and cakes are fantastic. Lovely generous size scones and fresh tasty delights. I buy their tea in a pot and it has flavour, which is more than I could say for Starbucks or Costa tea! The staff are welcoming and friendly and are coping well with the changes due to COVID. If I could give zero stars I would. Visited with a friend today. No one at door. There was a sign which advised sit in customers to take a seat 1st before ordering. . Unfortunately I sat down at a table which still had to be cleared. My friend arrived and after 20 minutes I asked a waitress to clear the table. I was rudely spoken to and told that I shouldn’t have sat down at a table which still had to be cleared. I was unaware that I had done anything wrong and she told me that this was the case since lockdown. As I’ve not been out in 7 months I was unaware of this and there was nothing to say this on entering the premises. My friend suggested that maybe someone should be at the door to escort people to their seats. My friend also pointed out that everywhere she had been had been table service only to avoid queuing when ordering food. We were then told “ we do not have enough staff!” Maybe as sign at the door explaining this would help. This altercation was done in front of customers and made me extremely embarrassed. To top it off the soup I had ordered without bread or butter arrived lukewarm WITH bread and butter! Until there is a change of attitude in the staff we won’t be back.

We called in for breakfast, as the place looked nice, and ordered two veggie breakfasts and coffees. The coffee was great - but the food was very disappointing. The scrambled egg was good and obviously freshly made, but our beans were only lukewarm and three of the four veggie sausages were cold (we asked for these to be re- cooked - this was done with an appropriate apology) The original sausages came back properly hot, together with an extra one that again wasn’t properly heated through). We assume they come frozen, but we’d expect them to be checked with a temperature probe! Serving on hot plates would also be an improvement (ours were cold), One slice of toast was burned. The bakery products on display looked lovely - we wished we’d just had a scone! Staff were pleasant and the place was clean and welcoming with a nice warm fire burning at the back. We would return for coffee and a bun - but wouldn’t recommend the breakfast.

Firstly, what I said before about Dnisi still holds the food and coffee are both very nice, tables are clean and the staff are attentive. But their prices are too high. We had 2 (small) white coffees and 2 baked potatos and tuna with a salad (basic salad) , and 2 ginger bread slices, all very tasty but at over £19 imho certainly not worth that. I would hate to see this place go for the sake of a few £ off the bill but with people having to tighten their purse / wallet strings this could happen.

Stopped off for a bowl of soup and coffee. Today's choice was lentil and bacon or sweet potato and lemongrass. The bowls looked ridiculously small for the price (from £3.30) so I didn't bother. Was invited to try their new blend if coffee. Oh dear big mistake. It was not to my liking however the coffee was served extra hot as requested. The noise levels are awful. The place was only 1/3rd full but everyone was competing to be heard over the piped music. What is the point? It doesn't create an ambiance. Most if the noise came from the queuing patrons. I know you've only recently had a makeover because of the flooding from above. You missed a trick. You should have installed some kind of noise cancelling or baffle material.

Not been in for a while, but thought I would treat my mum yesterday (Friday). I was served by a lovely young blonde haired girl. I say served...the young girl took the order, made the toastie and the coffee, rung it through the till. She even came round the counter and helped my mum bring the coffees back to the table as I had the heavy bags and she could see my mum was struggling. What annoyed me with this situation was that the young girl ran back and forth doing almost everything whilst 3 other older members of staff stood in sight of the counter laughing and gossiping - they could clearly see the young girl was run off her feet and not once did they stop their chit chat to help. No wonder it takes as long to get an order in. Full credit goes to the girl that served us as despite being the only one working, she was very polite and was pleasant to all the customers. I am sure the young girl was called Amy. She is a credit to D'insi. The older ones could learn A thing or two from this young girl

My friends and I meet up in D'Nisi regularly. We all have babies and the staff are always helpful organising high chairs and bring our coffees to our table. There's a good selection of hot food, sandwiches, cakes and scones; much better than the standard Costa/Starbucks chains!

Amamzing as always!! Service and quality of food superb as always. The long journeys North are worthwhile when i get to stop off and make a visit. It's a shame the lovely scones won't stay fresh forever, would love to buy them in bulk and take them on the road with me; i will have to suggest a postal service next time i stop by. Keep up the great work D'Nisi Hamilton and see you on my next visit.

Popped in whilst passing through on business and as I always do when up this way I stop in here for a cuppa and some food, I've never been disappointed in here, staff are always helpful and I've always been promptly served by the staff, scones are some of the best I've tasted, and the coffees pretty good too! Wish there was one closer to home for me but it's something nice to look forward to when I'm in the area at least.

This is my favourite place for coffee in Hamilton. Good quality coffee, great scones and good service from staff makes it a lovely place to sit and relax. The recent revamp has made it feel more spacious and comfortable and I would highly recommend it to others.

My wife and I have often visited D'nisi, Hamilton. My wife works locally and can sometimes attend here 3 to 4 times a week at lunchtime. On our last two visits together it has been nothing but a shambles. I firstly have to point out on attending today that my wife easily ordered our lunch and we sat at one of the only cleared tables, however we had to request that our table be cleaned. There was food all over the table, seats and on the floor. As we had already ordered and paid up front as they do in this establishment we decided against our better judgement to stay and have our lunch. The place wasn't exactly bursting at the seems and I'd say it was at 20%capacity. The girl came with a damp cloth, quick wipe, no cleaning product used, didn't bother to lift the sugar bowl or other items on the table and worked her way around them sweeping crumbs into her hand...onto the floor...!!! We had a cold bottle of juice each that we had purchased from the fridge. My wife was then served her baked potato very promptly that wasn't properly cooked, hard in the center and I still left waiting on my spicy chicken panini. After 5 mins we asked about the panini only for staff to say the had forgotten about it...2nd time in my last two visits this has happened. The rude waitress then came to our table asking who had taken our order...we pointed out that she did and she said she didn't recall this. We pointed out she asked me if I'd like salad or any side dish with my panini and I'd requested coleslaw. This still didn't register with her and we got a blank stare. She made a feeble excuse of "must have been distracted" we pointed out we were only people to be served as it was late afternoon and this had happened before. The manager then apologized and left the waitress to deal with us. To say we were shocked by the total lack of professionalism and basic hygiene was an understatement. We asked for a refund as by now the hard baked potato was cold and we had also ordered tea/coffee after eating. We said we'd pay for the two bottles of juice and to refund the difference. This is exactly what they did and didn't even have the experience to provide a full refund and offer any other options to resolve the matter. They also didn't refund the pound coin we flung into their tips bowl. The waitress again apologised and hoped this experience wouldn't deter us coming back...some in house training urgently required. We are both disgusted at they way we were treated and can only recommend that others avoid this place at all costs. We went to M&S where they know how to treat good customers and had a nice lunch.

Can't think of and redeeming qualities with regard to our visit. 15 minutes standing in queue at the counter to give our order to a sullen faced young woman. The way she threw the tea spoons on to the plate was almost comedic. Really have to up their game!

Visited D'nisi recently and was disappointed. We wanted to sit outside, but there was a bird dropping on the table, probably can't be helped, but at the table next to us was an ashtray almost overflowing with cigarette ends. The smell put us off so we moved inside. We ordered, and the woman at the till obviously wasn't listening to my requests. I asked for a toastie on white bread and a cup of tea. Her face was tripping her as she asked me do you want white or brown bread? Then asked do you want a drink with that. Some of the staff were very nice but this one (I would estimate her to be in her 40s-black hair in a ponytail) was miserable. Doubt we'll be back as there are plenty of other places in Hamilton, with more pleasant staff. Food wasn't that great either.

A large bright , tidy and airy coffee shop in the centre of Hamilton, with plenty of comfortable seating (including many 2 seater tables for solos or couples having a coffee) on my visits the tables have always been clean and tidy ( a big plus) There really is plenty of food options available including various paninis, arctic flatbreads(delicious) , wholemeal sandwiches, soups, scones, apple tarts and meringues and they all look mouthwatering. Sandwiches are very nicely presented with a lovely (small) salad and coleslaw in nice pots - I’ve eaten here 3 times and whilst the food costs a bit more than some other shops the quality of the food is WELL worth it. The apple tart is amazing especially accompanied with a wee portion of cream. Coffee is fantastic, my only complaint is that the flat white comes in a small cup. Staff are truely excellent and very attentive and friendly – A wonderful place to relax with a great cup of coffee and some genuinely tasty food.

Visited here with my sister and her kids. Nice cafe, however is very noisy and be prepared to be bumped and knocked by the loads of women with their buggies. Food was nice, good selection of sandwiches, baked potatoes and cakes. Plus they do kids meals and have free wifi!

Right in the centre of Hamilton, a great location serving great coffee and eats. I have coffee there on a regular basis with friends and the staff are very pleasant, which makes difference in this day of indifference in so many places.

This is a popular restaurant with good quality coffee and cakes and a good range of light snacks. It has had a recent makeover which has lifted the interior. The down side is that the ambience is ruined by loud, highly intrusive and tuneless "music". Because of that, I doubt if I will go back, which is a real shame. It is purely for that reason that I feel I can only give three stars and not four

Having heard of the shop having a fresh new look and revamp, I found myself with the opportunity to go check this out. The layout of the shop feels so much better and much more spacious; stepped up to another level.Service, as always, was amazing, Tasmin (I believe the manager) provided a personal touch bringing my coffee to my table and everyone interacted so well.As well as having one of their amazing scones, I found myself having to take a couple of the raspberry and coconut ones away, yummmmmmmmy!!Will definitely be returning when I'm in the area, keep up the great work Team D'nisi!!

Been twice, first time food was nice. Server was nice enough Second time woman who served me couldn't crack a smile. She literally looked "dour" I asked her what the soups were and she snapped "there are on the board over there" ...eh, I'm asking YOU, you know, because you work here. My eyesight isn't the greatest and she totally made me feel isolated. Rude rude rude. Be more considerate. If I ask you a question, you make sure you answer it the best you can. That's what you're there for. Food came...average. Overpriced and was nothing special. Was meant to come with coleslaw but mine didn't. Cup of tea was like dish water Cheap plastic cups for your juice. Not even any ice! Plate was greasy. Overall, the place looks like a grubby mess. I know they are having a refurb...much needed!! Personally, I would go somewhere else for a coffee on future.

In my last post I advised was coming over to Hamilton as I visit D'nisi's each year. In my opinion great place in Quarry Street Hamilton to go for a coffee/tea or a have quick bite off the menu. I had a good many cups of their Americano and also their new breakfast sandwich great job. The staff there are very pleasant and I also find it amazing having now lived in Canada for 42 year that the regulars always say "THANK YOU" to the staff and the guest are also ack., by a "THANK YOU". Ronnie too bad I missed you, I know you had one employee there for 6 years which is great. The other nice thing is the music very eclectic staff get to choose their music and really gives a whole different twist to a Coffee Shop great idea. continued success and hope to see you all next year.

Having stopped by on my first opportunity last year i was in the area and had to pop in again. I can easily say that i didn't leave disappointed and was equally as good as the first time. No matter what time of day you visit, you have to try the scones; unfortunately with so many delicious flavours to choose from it is difficult to narrow it down to a single choice.Make sure you go there hungry as the great choice doesn't stop at scones!!I will continue to use this as a break in the journey when travelling up to the west side of Scotland; looking forward to my next visit already.

I have been coming to D'nisi's each time I fly back from Calgary, Canada to visit family.. My impression great service very polite and the Operations Manager, Mrs. Ronnie Davies, I have had the privilege to meet Ronnie in person. Living in Canada for 42years, also wonderful to get back to see friends and family and have them drop by for a Tea/Coffee and something to eat. Continued success.

This was my favourite place for breakfast or/and lunch in Hamilton but today's experience was not good. First three things I asked forI ordered they had none left. Then we waited ages for the food and then they had only my husbands order and asked me was I waiting for something else which they then made. Upshot was husband had finished eating before mine arrived and I had then to ask for cutlery. Poor folks poor. Sorely disappointed as I had recommended it to my husband as somewhere my mother and I usually eat. Be a long while before I will go back if at all

Went in here this week with my grandkids for a wee hot chocolate and a cake. The place was quite busy but we got a hello as soon as we walked in from one of the girls behind the counter. Hot chocolates were fab. Block of choc on a stick which you melt into warm milk! Kids got cake which didn't disappoint. Staff very friendly, even spoke with kids which is refreshing as most waiting staff just don't make the time. Only complaint would be that the card machine wasn't working but I assume this was only temporary. Will be back!

Despite being local to The Lee Burn, I'd never been before, until it was recommended to me by a couple of friends, so I thought I'd pop in on the route home from work for a quick pint. The Lee Burn has a pleasantly cosy and relaxing atmosphere and the staff are incredibly welcoming and expertly balance friendliness and professionalism, which other places in the area could take notes from The Lee Burn. Honesty can't fault it for where it is! Even though I'd only popped in, I definitely wanted to stay longer, which is probably the best compliment I can give. I'm usually the first one to want to go home and be in my safe space, but The Lee Burn is just that relaxing! Will be back in the near future :)

Staff are either ignorant or incompetent or both. having dined here before a few times my wife and I stopped in for lunch as walk-ins. I entered and asked for a table for 2, the lady behind the bar made a show of the checking availability on the iPad, many tables were reserved so we guessed that we might be unlucky. "Sorry, we have nothing available", "okay no problem" Her colleague then, right in front of me picked up the bookings iPad and addressed the couple behind me, who also didn't have a reservation. "Oh, you're in luck, we have one table left". As i said a mix of ignorance and incompetence We won't be returning!
