The woman who runs this place is the rudest woman I have come across, she needs a career rethink. Literally 80% of the reviews on here detail her rudeness and the poor way in which she communicates with customers. Our experience was no different, everything was too much hassle for the staff, rude attitude, bad manners and rubbish coffee. Just don’t come here, it’s an embarrassment to Ingleton. I shall never return here. At the very least this woman needs to do a course in customer service. The customers are literally paying your wages. So so rude, angry and aggressive.

Average quality food in a slightly unkempt business with above-average prices. Looks like it's been punched down by COVID and a lack of tourists and hasn't been able to get back up again.

Visited for lunch with family. Cute place with nice outdoor seating. We waited such a long time it was ridiculous. It wasn’t even that busy. The steak sandwhich was ok but the bread became so soggy that it was hardly edible. Decent chips and kids meal was fine. The wait just was not worth it

Came here in the afternoon for light lunch - tea cakes and drinks. I felt that the servers were quite blunt, and were almost rude - certainly wasn’t service with a smile! Perhaps a bad day? The tea cakes were fine though for what we needed.

5 of us had a lunch here this afternoon. We were initially served by a very polite young man. Then, regrettably, he was replaced by a curt and harsh lady who took our food order. When our food eventually arrive it was underwhelming to say the least. To say it was discounted supermarket freezer food would be in insulting to the supermarkets. The chips were over cooked to the point of there being no potato in the middle. The fish was so watery it there was a little puddle on the plate. The kids hot dog was 2 sausage (who knows what "meat") in a burger bap. Whilst there we saw several people rudely told that they were stopping serving (this was around 3ish in the afternoon) which would be understandable but maybe it might help if you take the food boards down or put a sign up saying your service times. We also saw a couple, who I believe to have been overseas tourist's, have to send their food back due to it being very undercooked. The lady was once again very rude. As someone who is very proud to say I'm from Yorkshire, I'd be devastated to think they go away thinking that's our level of hospitality. This is all such a shame as they have a lovely view over the valley from their front seating area. My advice... buy a sandwich from the Co-Op on A65, park outside this cafe and eat it there.

Our waitress acted like we were an inconvenience to her day. Our food was thrown at us, literally. The food was ok but it was not a pleasant experience

On arriving our family sat down at an empty table that had some dirty dishes not yet cleared away (not a problem it seemed busy). The waitress came out and said “you’ll have to move away while I clear the table” not an unreasonable request but it was delivered very rudely as though we had done something wrong and made her angry. “Yep sure” we replied and got up and moved away “and you’ll have to wait 20 minutes for food” again delivered as though we had made her cross. “That’s fine I said” as we were happy to wait. As she angrily collected the plates I asked questioningly “are we not welcome?” She said again very angrily “there’s covid about and you lot just sat down” (she wasn’t wearing a mask) I said “sorry maybe you should put a sign up asking people to wait to be seated” trying to be constructive. this only made her more aggressive so I said “I’m sorry there’s no need to be rude we will eat somewhere else” she denied being rude I explained it was the way she spoke to us that was very rude. She went inside shaking her head and she complained to the cook saying we were being rude to her!!!! He then started shouting to us as we walked off. The father and daughter at the next table also stood up and said “she was very rude so we are going elsewhere too”

The most disgusting service we have ever encountered! We sat down outside wanting to order food. Unfortunately for the owners I was inside waiting for the toilet. The woman came outside and aggressively told my family to move off the table. She then came in muttering and shaking her head. She was rude again when my husband suggested putting up a sign to let customers. I’m ow of their procedures. She told my husband that that Covid was ‘going on’ whilst not wearing a mask to serve us. She then went into to speak to the other bloke who aggressively started asking where my husband was! She had told him that my husband had been rude. At this point I told them that I had seen everything. Both should have a career rethink- the hospitality industry is not for them. I have never met such aggressive, rude and ill mannered people on in my life! Such a shame as Ingleton is lovely. Walk around the corner any of the other cafes for a warm welcome. Btw the kitchen needs a good clean - covered in grease 🤢 The people on the table next to us also left due to their rudeness. After Covid you would think that they would be more welcoming to customers. I feel very sorry them both as they are obviously very unhappy people.

The restaurant does have a nice outdoor seating area and the food was OK (a tasty, well-filled roast pork sandwich but a disappointingly petite slice of carrot cake) but the owner seemed under pressure and wasn't at all welcoming. When people arrived, they were treated as though they were a bit of a burden and two couples were moved on to different tables after sitting down with a brusque, "You can't sit there!" Another couple left before ordering because of the rude welcome and I personally would not return for the same reason. It is a shame that something so fixable spoiled the experience.

Lovely "burrito" wraps with generous salad and chips on the side. We ordered to takeaway and staff were friendly and attentive. Didn't have to wait long, considering the food was cooked to order. Very tasty and great portions for the price.

The lady who runs this cafe is one of the rudest people I have actually ever met. Ordered two coffees, juice and a cake, had to wait forever for it to be made/brought over, when it did arrive it was literally flung at us. Lots of tutting and grunting at us, took forever to actually be able to pay and everything was just too much effort for them. Coffee was also horrid. Avoid grumpy chops cafe.

Stopped off here at lunch time on our way to The Lakes. Great selection and food. I had a 'late' breakfast i.e. Bacon Roll which came with a Hash Brown , a nice touch. Very busy and the owner did warn us there could be a short wait which was very fair of her. The food was worth it although not that long anyway. Would certainly recommend.

Took a detour on route to The Lake District from Skipton . I will always opt to support a local independent v a chain. I was shocked to be charged £7.50 for 2 takeout coffees which I feel is excessive!!

We called in yesterday, 6 of us including three young children. Best bacon rolls ever, complete with a hash brown. Looking at other food being served, I have no doubt that the quality of the more substantial food was every bit as good. The owners could not have been more kind, even gave each of the children a bag containing a large mix of sweets. I look forward to getting to know this couple better as, subject to virus restrictrictions, Ingleton is a convenient stop for us when visiting family.

Unfortunately, the worst meal I've ever had at a Weatherspoons. Gourmet steak for me and char grilled chicken for my wife. Both sent back as being tough and uneatable. I suspect these had been pre-cooked and warmed up. The replacements were marginally better but not much. Very dissapointed.

Waited over 15 minutes to get served a drink. One uninterested barman for over 70 people. Had pre-ordered our food . It was given to someone else. The management refused to replace it as the kitchen was about to shut. Very arrogant attitude. On the plus side, a good pint of beer. Ate next door at the very friendly Lister Arms.

We keep trying this Chinese because it's just down the road from us . I Thought I would try a chilli dish of Chicken garlic chilli with mushrooms, it had too many mushrooms . It wasn't very good or hot . I think I will give up on Chinese food.

We came here not knowing any review or the place itself. We came on a Thursday evening about 6pm, were greeted politely and shown to a table. The server provided us with menus and came back five minutes later to take our order. Prices are reasonable, portions are a good size and the service and food were excellent. I don't always believe the odd negative review of Fish n Chip Restaurants as not all positive reviews are recorded, just the negative ones. We will definitely be returning when we are in the area again.

Our coach trip called in to kill a bit of time and we all enjoyed the visit. They sell all sorts of things here, good quality and reasonably priced. The staff seem by and large friendly and pleasant.
