Dixy Chicken - Westmoreland Road in Newcastle upon Tyne

Never leave bad reviews. The chicken smelt fishy? The texture was soggy and wet, and taste like the chicken has been left out for days. Would not recommend this experience, what a waste of chicken, I’m thinking about going vegan.

Said 20 minutes for collection but took around 40 minutes. It is happening every single time. Last time they said 30 minutes but when I go to collect they even not put the pizzas in so wait another 20 minutes

They forgot to bring us our burgers that we ordered

Nice, tasty chicken and fries were decent. The cake was nice but I recognizer it and know exactly what it cost for a full cake, won't be buying it again. all in all tho would definitely order again.

Ordered from this place at 9:30pm. Waited for over an hour and decided to call the shop, man on the phone said “drivers left already”. So I let that slide. Coming to 11:30pm and still nothing. So have been basically waiting for 2 hours. Got in touch with FoodHub and requested a refund. Waste of time and money. Do not order for delivery from here!

Delivered hot and fresh... Gravy was a bit watery/tasteless and I thought the chicken was more greasy than normal hence minus 1 star . I will be ordering from here again as it's good value and normally spot on

In the notes, I advised I was disabled and would not be able to come down. I had to get a neighbour to collect the order as the delivery driver was 'unable' to deliver the order to my door bearing in mind we has multiple contacts on the phone and them walking in the car park. Absolutely disgusting service! Very reluctant to order again!

Writing this as I am bed bound from being sick every half an hour. As well as headaches stomach cramps etc. 100% have got food poisoning from here and I’ve never felt worse in my life. Went in around 10.30 Tuesday night, thought it was suspicious how much chicken was on show, obviously been there for days and days and full of disease! Please avoid unless you want to be knocking on deaths door for a few days.

I got the pizza today & the chicken quality was very bad it felt like the chicken is expired or something…. I’ve done vomit twice after a single bite of it. I wish I could pro long it to some agencies.

I found a staple in my chicken wing box this is highly dangerous and could off caused severe harm to my self which could of lead to a trip to the hospital I’m not willing to sue you or dixy chicken as long as I get a refund back in full and further offers for future times I have photographic evidence of this staple in my food if yous would like to see it I can email you it, I hope we can sort this out. We made our order 50 minutes ago so it gets on time for our iftar as we were fasting and we told them to come on time. However, they didn’t deliver our food. Do not order from this place. They are scam and wasting your time!!!!

Food came very quickly after putting my order through and was piping hot and fresh. Delivery driver was very friendly. Service was excellent, thank you!

Food was freezing cold, considering I paid £30 for a takeaway. Charged £1 for tub of sauce and they give sachets you get for free from McDonald’s. Definitely will not order again.

The estimated delivery was 1:35am-1:55am, my order status at 1:56am said enjoy your food but the food wasn't delivered. I phoned the resturat and asked where my order was and was told it was out for delivery it should only be a few minutes, I gave it 20 minutes before ringing back to be told AGAIN it was out for deliver in an unpolite manner. My food eventually arrived at 2:46am, freezing cold. The panini was unedable as it was rock solid, so it went straight in the bin as did the chips. I rang to complain and they just put the phone down on me and wouldn't answer when I tried to ring back. Total waste of money and disgusting service.

Ordered a burger from here on Christmas eve and how I wish I hadn't. I woke up Christmas morning spewing my guts up and carried one spewing throughout the day. It single handldly spoilt my whole Christmas. Something needs to be done as I have read this happening on so many occasions from other people. Either sort it or get closed down.

I always like wesmoreland dixy, never disappoints us. In fact I tried all dixies in Newcastle, this outlet is the best, the worst is the one at the quayside. The west gate is ok, the Benwell is fair. Keep it up wesmoreland.

Disgusting food, chicken is not at all cooked and also chickens feathers weren’t properly removed on the wings. It is not at all a original dixy chicken.

Shocking the pizza was like a big slice of bread with cheese and one but of pepperoni won't go back

Their chicken is really delicious, but sometimes it is very hot and makes the stomach hurt, and the chicken thighs are not cooked well sometimes, but the way they make the chicken is unique and its taste would be much better if the chili was reduced in the chicken spices.

We orderd our food at 1:15am, and was told it would be delivered between 2:10-2:20, so at 2:10 i recieved a notification saying ‘our food is on its way shouldn’t take long’, after calling the restaurant twice, we were told the food has been sent out and is on its way. Little over 50 minutes after it said the food had been sent out, it arrived all three pizzas freezing cold with no explanation to why it was 50 minutes late.

The order was late and was missing my burger and my drink from the order. When I called the restaurant they said it was not their problem and to call just eat. When I tried to call back they repeatedly hung up the phone and refused to sort my issue. Abysmal customer service and staff were very rude over the phone.

Useless staff. Either outside smoking or lying to you. Comes in to serve us 5 mins after we walked in past them having a cigarette. Then tells us 2 mins for food. After 5 mins waiting I asked. He said 3 mins on the chicken. The timer actually said 5. They didnt even have anything ready but continued to lie to us. Completely ruined the whole experience for us. Food wasnt even worth the wait after all that. Never going. back. Never recommending to anyone. Horrendous experience.

Food used to be better here years ago, this is a small shop offering eat in options along with take away. I must admit there are better options in Whitley Bay town center where there is more take aways In which I would rate better.
