Dixy Chicken Newcastle in Newcastle-under-Lyme

Chips were so stale and hard it made everyone choke. Wings were burnt and black. Stay away from this place I specifically asked as well please make fresh.

Saly enough to kill a live fish .I definitely don’t recommend

I ordered large size fries but they gave me small size when I got home. I asked for 10pcs chicken strips, they put 9 and put small divided pieces. I don't think I'll buy it again unfortunately👎

If I could give 0 stars I would. Firstly we ordered the new dipped burger, which is £8.99, we did not receive this, just a regular burger, secondly we paid extra for peri salt to be added to the chips, which we weren't given, and when speaking to the store they were extremely rude and didn't give any remorse. The delivery also took over an hour and a half. Poor experience overall

If I could give 0 stars I would, they gave me the wrong food and the food was freezing cold and when I called the person on the phone he was so rude I felt verbally assaulted, this is unacceptable and unprofessional, the delivery also took more than an hour, and the food didn’t even taste good, the chicken was undercooked could see pink staff on it, I have a stomach ache, should be closed down immediately

The food's great and good value, and it's hard to know how to review a takeaway when you've ordered through Uber Eats. The first time resulted in a very quick delivery, while the second time took over an hour. In both cases, I'd ordered after a weekend night out, so I appreciate it was maybe peak hours. In the case of the second delivery, the grease from the chicken had turned the box to mush, and the chips were inedible. If I was to use them again, it would have to be in person.

Very expensive , don't recommend to anyone , unjustified prices for absolutely no reason just inflated because this is the trend.

I've not personally had a direct one on one experience with this store but I'll recommend you putting a seal on your milkshakes for delivery like uber eats.This is a health and safety issue as it is can be very exposed during transportation.

Iv been a few dixys in my time and most sre terible. But this is a cut above the rest. Wow i love this place i go back regular. Makes kfc looks like absolutely rubbish. You must try this if you go have donner, bonless chicken and chips. Absolutely unreal. Please please try

Confusion over order eating in, one bonus was southern fried chicken was cooked fresh the rest was cooked in confusion only one guy knew what he was doing carrying his colleagues, he should be in charge, place and staff need a wash, little confidence in food handling lucky food is fried.

Staff here ought to take lessons on customer service as this is shocking! Maybe go and visit the staff at the Dixy in Hanley and take a look at how they treat customers! First time visit and certainly the last! Wouldn’t recommend

Chose to eat in. Dirty Tables, food was served quick. The burger in the chicken was definitely reheated. Tasteless, soggy. Would not recommend.

Amazing customer service, quick to take order aswell as not long waiting time! Wings meal is amazing, nice & crispy, very much filling!!

Once you’ve placed your order the staff completely ignore, drivers come in and pick and choose which delivery they want to take and the food was cold even when we asked them to put it in the microwave

Absolutely disgusting spent over £40 to be given mouldy food no apology no nothing! If they can't check there bread what else are they not checking. Reported to council and requested a full refund

The chicken was cold and greasy rubbish all wing and ribs a pot of bean sauce cold gravy was OK but cold what a waste of money family meal not fit for my dog

I accidentally missed the window of time to pick up my order on time when it was delivered. Despite that, The manager - I believe it was - was able to deliver the dixy. That man was my hero for feeding me that night

I was greeted by a very pleasant young man who (because they weren't busy for a few moments) chatted to me.

Honestly was walking around the area and feeling pretty bad about how run down Newcastle has become. decided me and the wife fancied some chicken. came in here not expecting much but we were very pleasantly surprised! portion size was great, the staff were all really friendly and best of all the food was fantastic! loved the chicken and fries and wife loves her chicken and cheese sticks. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly be returning here. Thank you

Food not the best , warmish not hot, order had missing items that were checked 3 times when orderd, phoned up to ask where it was for them to say wasn't on order yet charged for it , no offer to refund or send out, no meals came with sauce or salad as requested even though they repeated the order back to me. Won't be returning again.

Waited an hour for our food last night to be given undercooked chicken wings, rang up and they said they’d send more out so they did and again they were undercooked they weren’t even as hot as they should be in the middle either so wether there’s something wrong with the fryer or they aren’t cooking them long enough I don’t know! Wasn’t going to say anything because they apologised and refunded us but there seems to be a few reviews about raw chicken so this isn’t their first time! So just check your food before you eat it, raw chicken is no joke😫

Very bad customer service, rang after one hour and the guy on the phone says you have just ordered I told him I paid by my card and online transaction time was one hour ago but he was still rude and told me he will try to deliver soon, I called half an hr later to find out he cancelled my order, I asked for food as I wasn’t refunded, only the food finally arrived after nearly two hours of wait.

Took over an hour for delivery, and food arrived stone cold, tried calling the take away, but no answer.

Don't feel good about this review because the owner is such a nice guy, but.. When Dixy first opened the quality was far better than now, the chicken seems to be smaller with less Brest portions. The reason for this review is the last two meals have been average verging on poor.

Order for the first time today, I was on night shift at hospital felt hungry, so I Oder a wing meal from them and this is what I end up with. As you can see clearly it’s raw wings and food was cold.

If you want unhealtly food...go for it...and no one will tell you that you will eat spicy chicken...very spicy...my God!!!🤦‍♂️

Having been a regular here for the past 12 months, im done! Placed an order which was a waste of £23, to be told on the app the meal was 40mins to delivery & had been delivered at this point. It hadn't so I called after 1hr 20 mins to be told no its not left yet "we have suddenly gone really busy"...not my problem! Deal with orders as they come in, not just who happens to walk through the door in between your on line orders! Another 20 minutes rang again & my Partner messaged the manager whose number she has on redial due to previous bad orders....but he was not in the shop. Eventually the order turned up. The donor meat & chips were freezing cold an therefore had gone stale & greasy. It was obvious that it had sat on the side for sometime. My Son ate 3 mouthfulls of the chips which were also cold & the lot went in the bin! The chicken as shown was pink & not cooked as shown! It made me physically sick as id already eaten one piece, again straight in the bin. The gravy was like some cold gluggy glue which non of us could even put in our mouths, discgusting. The hottest thing was ironically the coleslaw which was obviously put next to the chips which again is a health hazard tp have "warmed" coleslaw. We will NEVER & I mean NEVER order from this premises ever again. Too many chances given already with past bad orders & wait times. This order was a health hazard!!! Luckily non of us ate enough to find out! Funny how when the Manager is on site, things don't seem to go quite as badly wrong. As previous reviews state, we are not the first to be sent undercooked chicken! Absolutely shocking and more so that even though my Partner messaged the Manager with the problems that he never even bothered to get back in touch or to profer a refund! This place will start to get inspected im sure if they keep dishing up dangerously undercooked food. Its not even cheap. We will be taking our hard earned cash somewhere else from now on. Not good enough Dixy!

Awful service, ordered at 7.11pm food came with missing chips, rang restaurant to be told to wait save the food and they would send fresh waited 2 hours with 2 phone calls between saying food was on the way to eventually be told that it wasn't on the way and nothing had been sent absolutely disgusting.

We placed our order online and didnt recieve what we ordered. Not cooked properly, no salads.... Very much disappointed.

Food took 1 hour 30 to be delivered, food was cold as driver had at least 5 deliveries in the car to deliver. Also mixed up the sauces on the food. Very poor.

Absolutely shocking service. I last ordered from this dixy last year and waited nearly 2 hours for the order. I thought I would give it another try today and 2 hours on I'm still waiting for my delivery I have called 5 time to be told 10 minutes no sorry no nothing and when I call again for the 6th time a man in the background is telling the worker to put the phone down. When the food came the chips were cold and hard and the burger also stone cold and gravy tasted like it had soap in it just shocking so annoyed won't ever order from here again

Went in and payed for my meal and while eating said meal I was told that I had not payed that I had clearly did not going back if you do come to this establishment use cash and request a receipt.

Ordered from here tonight paid £27 to get sent cold beans apparently they send beans out cold if they keep them warm for two hours they wouldn’t taste very nice that’s funny as when they first opened I had from there my beans were hot and so was my gravy what I ordered which tasted like pond water also I had two pieces of chicken and chips which cost £5.99 both pieces which were pink inside and a little raw I rang them and told to be told I can’t get refund I would have two more pieces of chicken sent out I replied with no I don’t want anymore it put me of can I have my money back please the fone was put down on me I rang them back they said someone would call me I got a call back they offered me £5.99 for my meal what I ordered I just think they were a bit rude and were coming in with excuse left right and center! What would of happened if I was blind or colourblind and could see the chicken being pink and but straight into it I would of been really poorly

Ordered online and our order contained two Mexican loaded boxes which clearly say include 3 sizzler wings each online. None delivered and when we asked for them to be delivered were told the meal didn’t include this!

Regular here, chicken is beautiful skin nice and crispy how it should be. We always have the bucket, plenty of fries and thr gravy yum... Son has donner and chips lovely fresh salad and they always read your notes when you ask for sauces. Manager is great, highly recommend fab customer service. Bye bye to expensive KFC, Dixie great value for money.

Absolutely rubbish this place is. First time order from work place and food never arrived in given time. Called up three times and restaurant keep saying driver is on the way, when we ask give us the drivers number so we can ask his whereabouts but restaurant didn’t have drivers number. We had to cancel the order as we finished the lunch break. This was first time and last time, never again.

Better then Mac Donald’s burgers an fries are well nicer, an you haven’t got that smell of old oil round.. staff are sound as well..

Queued for ages. Had nobody behind the counter even acknowledge me. Nor the other customer in store. Ended up walking out with no food. Disappointed because I'd heard good things about the food.

Once your night out is done and enough ale then hit this place and be polite towards staff. And respectful. Not only they'll give you some extras but food itself is amazing, spicy and extra spicy so its killing this awful taste of too many beers mixed with sambucas lol

Fist time ever trying dixy as you hear they can be hit and miss depending where you go. But Newcastles was really nice, really friendly staff also.. won’t be bothering with KFC anymore as this is far far better

Well better than kfc. We had a deluxe banquet delivered piping hot and within half hour It was tasty and struggled to eat it between the four of us defo have another one.

The food is great and the customer service is even better! I had the peri peri chicken wrap meal with a side of 3 wings. The wrap was incredible, good level of heat and plenty of sauce, each bite was full of moisture and flavour. Very generous serving of fries, which are better than most fast food establishments, maybe a little extra crunch to them would be nice. The chicken wings were perhaps the best I have ever had in my 27 years, crunchy, moist and just the right level of kick. Inside you will find a bright, immaculate restaurant with friendly faces and plenty of choice for a great price! To top if off, the owner asked me if I enjoyed my food, I told them they were the wings were the best I have ever had, so he gave me a free extra portion... hence the review!! Great customer service always deserves recognition. 100% recommend, the best place for chicken in area. I will be returning for sure.

Bad customer service i would leave no stars if i could ordered over the phone they asked if i wanted salad on my food and i told them no salad but still turned up with salad on my food after he confirmed he wouldnt put salad on and put no sauce on my partners food, i called up and asked them they had told me if you want too wait 45 mins we can send the sauce too you and told me to take the salad off myself, i asked if the driver could come back as he just left to take the food back and give me my money back but was told he wouldnt answer his phone because he is driving the only option i had was to wait 45 mins. Not happy at all.
