Dixy Chicken - Chorlton in Manchester

My experience with Dixy Chicken was disappointingly unprofessional. After placing an order on their website at 9:00, the estimated wait time ranged from 45 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Patiently waiting for the extended period, I decided to call them to inquire about the delay. Shockingly, they informed me that they hadn't even received the order through their website. This lack of communication and inefficiency reflects poorly on their professionalism, leaving me with a frustrating and unsatisfactory dining experience.

Delivery time acceptable double chicken burger was enormous and really tasty

I removed my last review to update this review. Quick recap. Bought a fish burger and it was undercooked to the point where it was stone COLD. Took it back the following day to be told l couldn't get a refund because it was the next day even though l had my receipt. I informed the guy that I'd prefer to speak with a manager. He went into the back with his phone and came back offering me a refund. He apologised and said that they are short staffed. l said to him so that makes it ok to turn out raw food. I will never visit a Dixy's branch again because some of the staff are rude and l most definitely will be reporting them to health and safety. For the plain and simple fact that l could have got food poisoning.

There is un professional staff and so bad behaviour 1 day I saw there a chicken strip fell down on the floor the guy took it and put it back honestly and there have to do long wait as well I’m not recommend any one

I've ordered from Dixys a few times before, late but nothing to worry about, however this time is different, food still to arrive 3 hours later, refusual to pick up the phone or tell me when its coming, AVOID

every time I go in they never ever serve me I went in just now waited at the front got totally ignored and immediately served some girl that had just come in. this has happened 3 times now I don't know what I did to piss them off but they seem to have some problem with me

The delivery driver not only didn't follow the instructions on the order, but then claimed it was delivered even though it wasn't. Got charged £11 because the driver didn't deliver my order. What a rip off never again.

I didn't like the way they treat me I don't know because if I did something I apologise but they don't accept my apology. Maybe I am black that's why they treat me 🤦‍♀️ I shouldn't say that, but that's why I get the treatment this is the second and the third time, even if I buy something they don't serve me I don't have anything for them forgive them, for the sake of Allah

The food from here made me ill twice! Had me sat on the toilet sounding like a firework all night. Shame it wasnt november 5th

It was fantastic 😍 and the food was fresh and hot .it was an 😎 experience I just loved it and I recommend it to everyone

Worst dixys ever, worst customer service ever Slow workers

No option for 0 but this was genuinely some of the worst food I've ever had. They gave the wrong order. The waffle was small, singular, stale, tasting like crunchy sugar with rotting bananas. A thick chocolate coat was smacked on top to conceal the "Am I going to get sick from this?" lottery. All in all, legit bad. I recommend this if you're having constipation problems though.

Visited this takeaway last night, very rude man on the till.. wouldn't give me any sauces or table salt! it was very meh

Absolutely terrible,the food was stone cold, items were missing the service was appalling and took over 2 hours to arrive,kept ringing and being lied to,wish we'd read the reviews before, wouldn't have touched the place with a barge pole,will never use again

1 hour later over delivery. Rang them and they said it would be 10 minutes. If it only takes 10 minutes to deliver why do nothing for an hour? Very poor service!

Got a burger from here last night. Brought it back up this morning. Have been sick twice, feel absolutely horrible and fairly certain I have food poisoning. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I like dixy food but this time chicken wings wasn’t that great, but there Achari pizza was really yumm 🤤 and kids burger also yummy

Called ahead of arriving to place my order. Was told food would be ready in 10 minutes. Arrived exactly 10 minutes later. The guy at the till was a little busy serving another customer which is completely fine. When i got to the front i said it was a phone order and reminded him of what i ordered, he said it will be ready in 5 minutes. I then seen the guy at the back put my food on the grill 15mins after i ordered it over the phone. I might as well have just come in and order, i asked him why he said 10mins when i phoned he just laughed in my face. This place needs to shut down!

I ordered pizza and it tasted good the base was soft however I found a piece of plastic in the crust whilst eating it which was a bit disappointing

Always a great place to grab some late night food. The chicken is cooked to perfection and the spicy salt on the chips is fantastic.

I’m allergic to mayo so when I’m trying to ring them to get them to take off the mayo on the burger they keep putting the phone down on me. Uber eats or Deliveroo doesn’t offer you to change what you don’t want on the burger. Order is being made and now I’ll have Mayo on my burger. Definitely won’t be ordering from here again.

Ask for whatever you want, they’ll give you whatever they want. Presumably they think everyone’s so hammered it doesn’t matter. I’m allergic to spice and it’s another meal in the bin. They couldn’t care a less.

Their chicken and wrap and burgers are superb customer service is good room for a little improvement served nice and hot you should definitely try it

Rubbish place and staff. I paid 14.50 pounds for one mini fillet burger and 8 pcs BBQ chicken instead of 10.48. But,i didn’t noticed. And,when i came back to my house i got only rubbish BBQ chicken pcs, no burger. And the BBQ chicken was covered with sweet sauce and it was hotchpotch.

Don't like the staff attitude, they not done anything wrong to me but it's not something can attract you to go back unless you really need to buy food from them.

Ordered from here with just eat.Never again.food arrived over an hour late,stone cold and with items missing.Rang the store who offered me " free beans or something " on my next order.There wont be a next order.They said they would send the missing items,over an hour later and I'm still waiting.The chicken drumstick was raw in places,so the order has gone in the bin.Totally disgusted.

I ordered here through Justeat( who are just as bad) food delivered over an hour late,stone cold,items missing and the chicken drumstick was still raw.I rang the store 1st to ask about the missing items,was told" next time I will send you free beans or something"...no I want the missing items please,told me they would be delivered straight away,over an hour and a half I called back,was spoken to like I was a piece of their raw chicken.Told me to take it up with justeat.Which I did,who were also useless and offered me £5 off my next meal with Dixy chicken.😂😂😂, So I have emailed environmental health and have the raw chicken ready for them to view it.Please if you're ordering for children dont get it from here.They will end up so poorly, ( or starving due to the extended wait) I thought KFC were bad,but these are just totally disgusting.

Dont recommend this place at all, the staff are very unprofessional brought me my food an hour and 40mins late. When i called they just answered the phone and left it hanging while talking and joking to each other in the background. Never ordering again 🤮

Ordered 4 meals ate in they had no sauces or salt and pepper and no napkins my daughter was upset she loves her sauces and obviously a tissue to wipe yourself at the end but they didn't have any of the necessities

Disgusting, cold food & bad customer service As big family we ordered food was 2nd time and definitely last. Food was cold again and food was discussing. We called to complain the 2nd time and 2nd time said sorry. Like reading a script and blaming traffic when no one was on the roads and no traffic. Very bad service. Guys save your money. Go elsewhere.

Meal came to £5, I gave the guy £6 by accident, he counted the coins, looked at me and chucked the coins in the till. He knew what he did, I knew what he did, but I thought it's £1 and let it go, sad to see someone would stoop that low, esp in Ramadan. Meal was for a homeless guy. So well done Dixy, will not be visiting again. Thieves. Enjoy your £1. Hope it was worth it.

Love the food here. Mini burgers are amazing u can tell that the chicken is of the highest quality. Burgers and pizzas are nice too. Prices are reasonable also

Dropped in last night to buy a meal for a homeless guy I saw sitting in a doorway nearbyz decided against buying the meal as the place was filthy with dirt all over the floor and the staff in dirty clothes too.. I did not want to make the homeless guy suffer more than he had by eating from this place

Ordered from here throu Deliveroo for the first and last time . We ordered 1 burger meal 2 pieces of chicken and a burger with a bottle of Pepsi . Firstly after opening packaging the gravy was all over the meal In the bag not a great start Then After getting over that the 2nd burger was no where to be seen . How the hell do you miss one of the 2 burgers off the meal ? The 2 pieces of chicken were like relics from years gone by . Inedible dried out crustaceans. And the bottle of Pepsi ordered was a Diet Pepsi . After eating the one burger I ended up having to occupy the great white throne for the next 2 hours . All in all the worst take away meal I have ever eaten .zero care for the end user people . KFC just down road far better and actually cheaper avoid like the plague

Didn't like this place, chicken was very dry and not very hot. Too much made too early and at once so really wasn't that good.

Just ordered from here,check your food!!! I ordered a can of tango sent a ice blast and charged and don't even bring a straw ordered a cheeseburger and a chicken burger meal and chicken wrap meal and ended up with that and 4 chips orders a big bottle of tango got diet pepsi.

The staff was very polite and helpful. The oil used to fry the chips was not fresh, therefore the chips has a weird taste. The burger was fresh, the peri peri sauce taste can be improved. The overall environment was clean and good.

They used to be good and on the ball. Now it's just poor customer service. Not receiving what you ordered. I walked 30 secs to my car and the food was warm! Not hot or even tasted freshly made. Very disappointing ☹

Ordered chicken burger meal with no Mayo, delivered the meal with Mayo. Rang and was told would get a replacement, waited 30 minutes. Rang back and was told that I had ordered with Mayo and wouldn’t be getting a replacement. Rubbish service - avoid

I have frequented dixy chicken throughout my time living in Chorlton and it is one of the best options when coming home from a night out and you want to stuff your face with grease. The wings standout as they have good flavour whereas the strips aren't always great but they will fill you up with the size of the portion.

Food was nice. Not much to be seen of hand washing after handeling money. Food can be on the colder side ( bin sat for a while ) tango ice blast are a hit but abit pricey may aswell go cinema an get 1 and not have half the bacteria on the cup. Put the straw in the cup with NO GLOVES after taking my cash. Would return as its local but ide have to he out of other options

Pizza was horrible, I couldn't eat it. And that's saying something! I choose to go hungry than have to eat that pizza. However the staff were amazing.

I ordered via Just Eat and the service was terrible. Delivery was over 10 minutes late. I tried to phone the place but they were always busy (and many comments on Just Eat mention they do this purposely). When the driver did arrive he phoned me to mention he was present. I asked him why he didn't press the bell and he said he did!!!! The bell bloody works and is as loud as a bloomin fire alarm!!! Bloody liars. Sort your service out!!!

The food is good but they do get some orders incorrect if the orders are large enough.

It's a good fried chicken shop. Relatively clean and tidy. 'Time is money' but they just need to slow down and take a minute when taking your order.

i asked for ketchup and lettuce five me mayonnaise and lettuce asked for none spicy they give me spicy...the disrespect but it's ramadhan bad deeds on them be it, ima ignore the rudeness but wont use them again, now that i think back the person behind till not appealing looking at all make me sick to have my food handed by them, i just gave it to a poor person.

I have ordered food at 09:19pm for delivery with dixy website. The estimated delivery time was 10:05pm. It’s now 10.43and the food still isn’t here. I rang Dixy at 10.08 and they told me the driver was leaving with it and I live literally within five minutes driving distance. This isn’t the first time this has happened. And im still waiting for food. Just rang them back and they still saying 5mins 😡 I wish there 0 star option so i could give them 0. Not happy with service at all

I’ve ordered food at 6pm. Food should b here at 6:45 (as per web update) waited and waited then rang up to ask and they said 15mins then rang again after 20min and they said 10mins and I’m still waiting for food Very poor delivery service Won’t recommend at all 😡

Order was very late when I contacted them they said it will arrive 30 mins later it didn't when i tried to refund my money back they refused and told me they will compensate me with a "free" item, it finally arrived more than 2 hours late with no "free" item or whatsoever safe to say won't be ordering from them ever again
