Normally happy here with the service but today there were only 2 on the bar and a 30-35 minute queue. Several tables nearby were choosing not to queue and getting their own soft drinks and snacks from WH Smiths opposite, so tables were full of folk not using the bar. Suppose the tills will pick up on this. On the good side, we had 2 pints of real ale each, and the quality was fine though expensive at nearly £6.00 a pint but a decent enough choice and the staff were helpful.

Oh dear this place is truly horrendous. I have never felt so ripped off in my life. We were waiting for our taxi and so had three side dishes to share at £4.99 each. A younger child could serve a better garlic bread (it was burnt) and the side salad was some lettuce with one quartered tomato on top…that was it! As for the cheesy potato wedges I struggled to find any cheese amongst the tasteless béchamel sauce. This place is an embarrassment. The friendliness of the staff give it a star although they would have got two if they could pour a drink properly. At least the other reviews I have just read provided five minutes of entertainment.

Sat at a table for 30 mins. Menu on table had food stuck to it. Table wasn't cleaned. Staff passed by and not once told me I had to go up to the counter to order food. I got the attention of one staff and asked could my order be taken. Then I was told Oh yeah you go to the counter/bar. I was wary about leaving my luggage unattended and said this. Oh that's okay to leave it I was told. I asked was the place guaranteeing that my lugagge would be safe there, didn't get a confident yes. Went to the counter to order. Had to be paid in advance including tapping on the display if I wanted to add a gratuity. Why should places assume they will be getting a gratuity? Why should someone pay a gratituity before getting a service? Order cheese burger and cheese garlic bread. The cheese garlic bread was nice. Burger was not nice. Could only eat 3 bites. Iffy taste perhaps due to the blob of cheap mayo on it. Burger, cheese, bacon, withered lettuce, on a bun. When the waiter came to take away my plates it was obvious I hadn't eaten my meal. He didn't ask was everything okay. It wasn't. Won't go there again. First time departing through this airport. Avoid this place. Not much in food options, dirty surroundings, uninterested staff.

The worst meal I have ever had in my entire life. Terrible and rude customer service, food is way over priced, they didn't bring our drinks to our table (which we had pre-paid), asked for it 3 times and they continued to ignore us. AVOID AT ALL COSTS THEY ARE SCAMMERS

Queued for half an hour then was shown to the table. We were brought a menu then waited again for someone to take our order. Eventually the waiter came to serve us. Half way through eating the waiter came over and stuck the card machine in my partner’s face saying pay now. He said we haven’t finished eating yet. He kept insisting that we paid and saying we were supposed to pay first. At no time whilst we queued did any member of staff tell us that we had to pay for food and drinks first. The waiter went away saying I will be back in 5 minutes which he did. We saw and heard other customers on their tables asking for their bill numerous times but we were the only table he came to to ask for payment. My partner paid and then we left before finishing our food. We spoke to a female member of staff who said she was the manager, her excuse for the rudeness of the waiter was that it was busy and yes you have to order and pay for food first. She gave a half hearted apology and said she would speak to the waiter. We will never go in that place again. Do not spend your hard earned cash in there, all you will be met with is rudeness and disgusting food.

Terrible place. Terrible food. Stupid waiter told me there was no Vinegar because of Covid then a different waiter brought some to the next table 20 mins later. “Double” chips was the same size as normal chips. Drinks came well after food, pint looked like waiter had helped them self to a few sips on the way over. Waiters clearly didn’t know where the table number were.

Here at 0600 28/08/20. Very rude staff, tables not cleaned, what COVID 19 Virus, it seems that they haven’t heard of it. We waited over 30 minutes for two coffees but people that ordered after us had received their orders and very expensive for anything. Bring your own pack-up and stay safe.

The food in this place was so below par it doesn't even reach pub food status. the staff were in general very good but I would assume that part of their training is to ignore complaints.The prices are way too high for an establishment of this standing . I bring to your attention, we were served one slice of plain bread ( stale) cut in two at a cost of £2.89. the last time i bought a loaf it was 29p , had just reached it's sell by date.

Visited 10/08/20 Quiet possibility the wort place I have ever eaten when eventually seated I chose the ultimate fish & chips and my wife choose the standard fish and chips we paid then 20 minutes later a guy came to say the ultimate fish wasn't available did I want a standard so I said yes the food arrived for a horrid waitress to come over and ask what soft drink we wanted to make up for the difference in the food price as I'm allergic to most soft drinks I asked for a refund on my card to be told I can't do that and there's no need for the attitude the waitress then stormed off swearing and saying all sorts of obcenertys The food may be 50% off at the minute but you do get 50% less the UK government should do this place under the trade disscripton act The food was at best awful The manager wouldn't give me the waitress name or hers Stay away stay away stay away

Happy and excited for our holiday we visited this sad excuse of a restaurant for breakfast! After being seated we where served by someone clearly half asleep or half cut! 25 mins later after chasing up our food the waiter had to come back to retake our order! Good thing not in a rush for the gate!! What was presented as food couldn’t even be described as prison food! The only thing that was edible was the toast, Oww that we had to change as that too was wrong! I will not be returning to this Joke shop in a hurry! Can someone please close this place down and start again? Maybe employ staff who understand what the service industry is all about!

Spent a very enjoyable 40 minutes in the Spinning Jenny this morning as part of an aborted/ cancelled trip to Fuerteventura. Excellent service, tasty hot food and a nice pint of Thornbridge Jaipur. Have visited many times when flying out of Manchester. I’ve never seen it so quiet.

Popped in for a breakfast and drinks while waiting for a flight. Ordered on the app as you’re encouraged to do. Was averagely busy. Food was brought before drinks and we were told there was no toast available as the huge kitchen can’t make it and we were presented with four bits of limp bread. The waitress offered to refund the toast if we didn’t want bread which we agreed to. She told us she’d sort that straight away and I enquired about the drinks we hadn’t yet received to which she responded that she would find out. Some time later, no refund and no drinks and meals nearly finished, the same waitress was stood playing with cutlery. On asking her whether someone was bringing the drinks I was told “I don’t know you’ll need to ask the lady on drinks” as if I was supposed to know who that was and despite this waitress saying she would sort it earlier and giving no update. I also asked her about the £5.18 refund (for TOAST) and was told she didn’t know when that would be coming either and wasn’t going to find out as “that’s not my job”, she then marched away and hid in the kitchen!! ♂️Apparently her job was to stand at the end of the kitchen serving counter playing with cutlery and napkins. I actually had to ask whether she worked there and if she realised I was a customer before she went to hide. Eventually, the “manager” slammed some drinks down on our table and brought a refund some time later. There are other places to eat in this terminal so make sure you do. The member of staff in question needs to be significantly re-trained or sacked for her immature and inexperienced attitude. Acting like a brat when you’re in the wrong isn’t a good look.

Oh my gosh! I can't Express how disgusting the food is here. I had the garden breakfast and my husband had a full English. His bacon tasted days old, my avocado toast was sickly, the whole thing was shocking. Presentation? Awful. This is all after waiting 30 minutes for the food and paying £26. Soooooo bad. Horrible start to my holiday. Actually feel sick.

We stupidly went back to this place on 7th February despite having visited it around 7am last June when we queued for twenty minutes only to be told they were only serving alcohol. This time my partner queued for twenty minutes to order tea and toast. After waiting almost as long again he went to see where it was. Just then the waiter appeared with it. I told him this and he said, very sarcastically “well he had better hurry back or it will be cold” The toast was rubbery and there was only a tiny piece of butter. A complete waste of time and money.

We arrived at the busy restaurant and ordered online to 'avoid queuing. Thirty minutes later and after enquiring where our food was, we got two large breakfast plates with enough breakfast on them to cover a saucer. The chap who cleaned our table prior to eating seemed barely capable of handling the task. Our coffee was brought to the table about twenty minutes before our food.

Terrible customer service, I wouldn’t even give it the bottom rating. Not enough staff on to take orders, long queue and when I asked why some of the staff on the floor couldn’t be asked to help out on the tills, I was told that I had the option to order on my phone. Staff were rude and unhelpful. When I eventually got to the til the member of staff made a discourteous comment about the previous customer to me! I spoke to the manager and her attitude lacked any professionalism and I received passive aggressive remarks from a male colleague with her. It spoiled the whole airport experience and I hate to think what foreign visitors think of the English with places like that. The environment looked grubby and dismal. I left without buying anything.

Do not use the app could have been served twice at the bar, 15 minutes after ordering we went to the bar and picked it up it was flat and also very annoying when there were 3 waiters stood next to it doing nothing, next time went to the bar and they were out of most beers. Paid £26 for x2 breakfast and x2 teas....service was slow, food was left waiting to be brought to tables for 10 minutes plus even though it wasn’t busy and I’ve never seen anything on a plate look so sad, sausage wasn’t even cooked and for a £10 breakfast it was a toddlers meal and even they wouldn’t be full.

Outbound flight and up early so cooked breakfast necessary. Used the app to order and pay for food after finding a table. Unfortunately the app doesn’t take onto account items not available, but a really helpful guy came over, sat down with us and apologised and sorted out several alternatives and even offered a free extra tea. Food is ‘normal’ airport standard and arrived 15 minutes or so after we ordered. Pleasant environment, lots of staff active cleaning tables and keeping the place clean and making sure tables always available.

We had the misfortune to have breakfast at Spinning Jenny before our flight in December. The food was awful and cold when it finally arrived after a long delay. The full English breakfast was overpriced and absolutely disgusting. The toast was cold the butter had melted and the coffee cup was half full. The person serving refused to get the cup refilled and we had to do it ourselves. The staff were rude and they all lacked the ability to communicate with customers. There was a long queue and every body was complaining. No sign of any managers on the restaurant floor. Appalling in every way. Avoid this place.

Every table was dirty, plenty staff but no one looking busy. Chips were obviously yesterday’s warmed up and club sandwich dry and burger was burnt! Well for the price of the items on the menu I was expecting great things, really great things. We were both sadly disappointed to say the least. The service was ok, but when you compare it to service to where we were heading it was pretty crap.. my wife complained to the manager about the size of the fish. . . The managers comment was the worst bit of customer service I've ever heard. She said what do you want me to do about it I've only just come on duty... Really ! Hence the one star and hence we are advising people to stay away from the spinning jenny. It is one place I would not go back to !!

After trying the other place in the terminal (Cabin Bar) we came here for a drink. We didn't eat as one look at the prices puts you off. Why are these places trying to price people out of eating? surely it would make sense to get more people in? The APP on the phone would be a help in busy times, I suppose but as it wasn't busy we didn't use it. No they've got a captive audience in these terminals and think they can charge what they like....Sorry it doesn't work for me, your loss.

What a difference compared to last trip, found the food staff to be poor and quite rude (with the exception of the young lad that served me was nice) food is expensive but I suppose that’s a given but the value for money is shocking. Breakfast was average, waffles hard and dry and I don’t know how / why we got poached eggs instead of fried. Problem is it’s a captive market so they get away with it just glad it wasn’t busy.

Stopped off at spinning Jenny’s for a quick pint and received brilliant service from all staff most of all David he was very friendly polite and also really funny got my kids in the holiday mood thanks a lot mate keep up the good work

called here last year for a breakfast ,the food was ok but the portions were meagre to say the least and the cost is a total rip off and very closer to highway robbery and is akin to paying nearly £3 for a bottle of water in Manchester and is an indication as to the captive market airports have ,do yourselves a favour and go elsewhere, even burger king next door is better value

Legendery service by Dave at 5am with no sleep or rest and this young man made me feel like i was in the comfort of my home at this daft oclock. Spinning Jenny you truly have an amazing individual who is so full of energy at this early hour whilst us all customers are feeling so ruff and moody. 10/10 Dave would defo visit Spinning J’s again and recommend to all friends & family.

Headed here for real cask ale. Waited in a long que to find out all the cask ales were out. Ordered a decent keg beer, but it was out as well. Only fizzy, bland lagers available. Tried to use the "order from your phone" option, but the food items we wanted were not on the app menu. Staff seemed bored of life. Will not return.

We visited for a pre flight snack what an expensive and dire mistake. Served by Jack B who has to be the most miserable surly and downright rude person I have ever come across in 60 years of eating out!! He needs dismissing immediately if the business owners value their customers £28 for adocado and egg bacon and egg muffin a cup of brown swill meant to be coffee and a tea. Go elsewhere avoid at all costs

Don’t go here. The staff were absolutely miserable. The menu was limited & when the £6.50 bacon roll did arrive it was greasy & undercooked. Absolutely dreadful.

Breakfast for 4 this morning...pleasant and friendly staff.Cooked breakfasts were fine, option for me " toast and jam" no marmalade which is a an English breakfast staple and no brown sugar for coffee..something for the company to think about.

Had 2 “ultimate English breakfasts, 2 coffees and 2 orange juices which altogether cost £34!!!!!Asked for one of them with no beans and no tomato, it arrived with no tomatoes or eggs but a nice big portion of beans, returned it the first time only to get it back with no beans like I asked but half the portion of eggs, sausage and bacon! I had to take it back to the kitchen this time myself. I had to explain to more than One waiter what my problem was obviously with what I was asking of them been so complex and all! My wife’s breakfast eventually arrived at my table at the third time of asking and it was lukewarm at best, definitely not an £11 breakfast. We couldn’t be bothered returning it for a third time, needless to say no one came and asked if everything was alright with our meals as even these waiting staff could tell it wasn’t.

We were flying early morning so had stopped in a hotel. Didn't have chance to prep any food for the kids so sat in the spinning Jenny to have something. 4 drinks, 2 waffles and 2 bacon baps £41. Totally ripped off. Member of staff stopped to chat. Told us we would be "buggered" if it rains on holiday. Nice choice of words with 2 young children. I asked if there was a saucer for my teabag and he just said "here, give it here" and helpfully just took it off me. Very casual approach. kids didn't even finish their waffles as they were rock hard! Total waste of money.

I wrote a review of the Spining Jenny a few months ago, vowing never to return. However, stuck in ManT2 again with the lounge not yet open and hours to kill, i thought i would give it one last try.

Our recent experience goes against a lot of reviews on here. The bar was busy but so was the airport so this is to be expected, we were however, served quickly and in an efficient manner by friendly and helpful staff. We had food and drinks and enjoyed both.

Totally agree with all the negative comments. Queued for 20 minutes and when eventually served, they had run out of glasses! It seemed that the staff were working hard but simply not enough of them to provide a decent service. At £6.60 for a pint of lager, I cannot understand why the owners cannot afford to employ more staff. Unless, of course it's pure profiteering at the customer's expense! Difficult to boycott because I imagine the other bars/restaurants pricing/staffing policies are exactly the same. Perhaps we should point the finger at Manchester Airport who presumably manage ( or mismanage) these catering/bar contracts?

Considering this is an airport restaurant and wait times were expected I dont think it's as bad as what other people have commented. The staff are working constant and always helpful especially David bloxham who never stood still the whole time. Thanks guys

Not a good experience. Queued for ages to order one breakfast in among people just wanting drinks, the service was painfully slow, then wait again for a very sad looking breakfast to appear for over £9. First day of half term holidays so it was always going to be busy, pity the people who planned the staff rotas didn't think the same way. It was awful and will never repeat this experience.

Can be abit hit and miss with the food but when it's good it's GOOD! The drive thru is actually pretty quick even when the line is long but the food quality isn't as good as when you eat in which is weird. The restaurant is good not massive but pretty clean. Accessibility is good aswell. Service and staff are really friendly

I ordered my food and was assaulted by the security guard. He hit me twice for no reason, I reported it to the police. I have a graze on my knee and a cut to my face for ordering chicken and chips. The staff are rude, abusive and ignorant and they use the security staff to bully their customers. I threw my food back at them in disgust. They are the scourge of the earth and do not deserve the money they steal off people. My last visit and last instalment into a vile business of bullying and bigotry. Disgusting!

We ordered a mini burger and instead of a fillet they put a chicken wing in it! My daughter bite into a bone! They are terrible
