Dixy Chicken in Barking and Dagenham

Very bad taste of food . Not recommended . Wings was cold and burger was not made properly. Food was not looking fresh

Today, was a eventful day, while I was eating this so called meal I was a little sceptical about the food because it was very chewy but I thought nothing of it, as soon as I got home I was bed bound, I didn’t know what was wrong with me, I was getting excruciating stomach pains, I was uncomfortable and distressed, I couldn’t walk for a couple hours until I decided to get up, as soon as I got up I felt like fainting, I walked to my window and literally through everything up, THIS SHOP SHOULD GET SHUT DOWN ASAP.

I don't like leaving bad reviews but this is a must. The last time I shall ever order a thing from here. I leave it a few months and try again. It was a really good chicken shop once. Food was cold. Ordered a 7 inch pizza that cost me £8 and it was about 4 inch's. The box may have been 7 ha ha. The fillet burgers should be called mini fillets and the hot wings came from a Sparrow. Pure rubbish.

Ordered online came hot but forgot my chips called them over half hour ago and still waiting should check order before it leaves the shop that’s the problem with all these take away no communication and things get forgotten 🙄😡

ordered the food at 5pm, received at 8:30.... what in the freaking world? Then had the nerve to miss out a pepsi and when i called, they told me that nope, the damn driver placed 3 cans in the bag when clearly there was only 2 in the bag. And wouldn't send another one, also lied to me saying that he checked the cctv and the driver put 3 into the bag.... within one freaking minute! I haven't even been on the call for more than a minute with him and this idiot has the nerve to tell me nope, 3 were given and so you have 3, also told me you are free to not come back. What in the world bad service is this? Could any other place be as disgusting and rude as this place???

Ordered our food for delivery at 2:30pm and the driver told us to collect our order around 3:45pm because he 'apparently' knocked on our door with no answer. After asking the driver more questions as we was so confused (the dogs bark at anything near our house, let alone a knock) HE HUNG UP ON US MID CONVO! We managed to get Dixy to send us another driver with our food which arrived 2 hours later. The food itself was beyond disgusting and bags were very much open, which was hardly edible instead of not enjoyable. Would not recommend ANYONE to order food from here.

I could happily mind my own business if the food was ‘okay’ but this was UNACCEPTABLE. The chicken smelt old the chips an odd texture - maybe re fried and then left out. My little sister was concerned when she even opened the box because of the greyish appearance and smell. I ate a couple of bites and this morning I’m suffering more than ever. I tried calling them no remorse, wrote a review on just eat and they replied- ‘do not abuse our staff’ absolutely disgusting hospitality and customer service. They should be shut down smh.

We waited 1 hour and 40mins for our food, when it arrived the delivery driver looked miserable, our cans of diet coke had dirt all over the tops of them, such a rubbish delivery service and food is bad too. We Will not be going back here again.

DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE!!! Ordered at 23:50 && it’s now 01:42 - I have had to go and pick my own food up!!! CONSIDERING THE DRIVER WAS AROUND THE CORNER !!! This was told on every call up to the 10th one !!! The men in there are so rude said nothing we can do and was shouting at me. Until my boyfriend stepped in !!! They don’t care that it’s taken them nearly two hours for the food!!! I’m now outside waiting for my food to be ready!!! && all of a sudden the driver is now at my house!! Absolute joke.!! So around 1am I get a knock on the door from the rudest delivery driver I have ever come across, accusing me of ordering a takeaway which I hadn’t! He said he was from dixy in Dagenham baring in mind I live in gidea park why would I order from Dagenham? I told him it wasn’t me and he said that my address has done this 3 or 4 times before! I don’t appreciate this as I’m a key worker and have work shortly. Absolutely disgusted with their behaviour and attitude. Would give a 0 star rating if could.

AVOID Placed an order through just Eat, was meant to arrive at 20:10, its 21:00 already - still no order to be seen. Called them find out what happened got lots of 'usual' unrealistic excuses. Don't use this place, avoid, avoid, avoid.

Terrible service, food was 15mins late no apologies & no chilli sauce in 4 burgers which I requested. I ordered online online & phoned the slough Dixy he told me making now but I told him ordered for evening despite this telling myself doing favour making food fresh & delaying myself obviously forgot about my order. Very rude patronising staff really distinctly terrible service & the food was not nice, I would strongly recommend not coming to this shop as I had terrible unacceptable experiences.

I would give this a -5 star rating but it don't exist. AVOID AT ALL cost. Picture shows what was received. Staff are rude and fob you off when trying to get a refund. Food was that bad the bin rejected it. For your own health and safety never order from this establishment!

We ordered our food at 11:50. 2 supreme burger meals. We were told that food was due to be delivered at 13:00. At 13:01 we received a text stating that our food was going to be 20 minutes late. At 13:20 we called the restaurant to ask about the status of the order, the reply we received was that it was en route. At 13:30 we called again. After two attempts, whilst on the phone he called the driver and was told it was delivered given to the correct address but the wrong person, and to top it all off the food was cold. The shop is not more than a 10 min drive I am unable to understand how it was late in the first place and then to arrive cold. We ordered through just eat and have contacted them in regards to the service. They contacted the restaurant who have said that they delivers the food earlier than the delivery time stated and the food was not cold. This is beyond a joke and a waste of money. DO NOT EAT HERE.

I ordered a box meal that should contain a chicken burger meal with three wings. The order came and chips and drink were missing AND I paid £9 via uber eats. The chicken burger was OK and wings were a bit bland. Basically not worth it

Several calls were made to Dixy Chicken with the staff informing us the delivery driver had already left and the order would be with us shortly. After 3 times of calling we asked for a refund to which the person on the other end of the phone put the phone down on us. Totally appalling service

disgusting wet buns soggy undercooked frozen chips and rude staff when called to complain even when I didn't require other food or a refund just wanted to let them know they were very much denial. oh and my burger on the bottom side had finger holes

When I'm in the mood for good old fashioned chicken and chips, this is the place. The chicken breast is really huge and a meal is always worth the price.

We just love this place. the chicken is really tasty, the chips as well, it beats all the other chicken shops in the area and they have lemon scented hand wipes, a must have.

Since this fast food has changed hands it's gone downhill fast 😷it used to be lovely,the chicken was crispy and full of tasty spices.But now,the chicken is wet and soggy,no flavour at all.Bring it back to how it was before PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!

Always gets order wrong, takes over an 1 hour to deliver food which is already cooked and doesn't even come hot.

Okay but dry and bland chicken.

My 5 year old got food poisoning and we've reported them to the food agency. Absolute crap. Soggy chips, stale & obviously refried (i could tell by the fact there were brown oap chips laying in harmony with newborn chips). Bbq wings & ribs were over microwaved, as soon as they started to cool down they were 'unbitable' rocks plus some of the wings were not even fully covered (thier bbq wings are spicy wings with bbq sauce squirted ontop & microwaved, if you cannot be bothered to sell real bbq wings at least cover the crime scene well). Now, on to my apple pies lol, i didn't know it was possible to have an apple pie that was soaked through with chip oil but they were beyond saving, the apple and the soggy crust tasted more like chips than the actual chips. My bbq fillet burger was the same, just over microwaved fillet in bbq sauce. Didn't eat it. Hard crusty bits of chicken. Sizzler wings were lovely (dad had the runs for days after eating a few wings). Although my order arrived an hour and a bit later than the latest estimate given (they're 2 streets away) i will still give them credit where credit is due, the mirinda strawberry & orange were lovely and the sauces only had a minimal amount of spillage :)

it took 1hr and 25 min for our food to get to us and it was cold. also as a family of 4 with 2 kids under 10 there was not enough chips for the second time in a row of oardering.

Estimated delivery time was 01:40am. I instructed the delivery driver to call me upon arrival and not to press the doorbell. Guess what? He failed to follow simple instructions. Quality of food was great, portions are very large and filling.

The food generally was nice, however the Strips had no real taste to them at all but the chicken pieces were really really good.

Food was late, when I called was just told they were busy. Said they gave me free dips as goodwill but already asked for it when I made the order so wasn't anything extra. If they are that busy to let me know then they won't miss my future orders.

The behaviour of the staff of this shop was truelly appalling . They bullied an 80 year old man and acted disgracefully .. I have used this shop in the past but wont be in future . The owner needs to sack all that were on duty during this disgusting episode .they spat in his food .. They said it was a joke when someone stood up for the man . Ordered food around 12.30 and it didn't turn up until 14.30! I did get a call to say it would be a bit late and was told there would be some bits added free of charge which wasn't the case, It was just all the things I had already paid for which was quite disappointing.

Food arrived 20 mins early and was lovely as always, my only gripe was the salad which is £2.50 was only lettuce and tomato, no cucumber, which may seem a small thing to most people but being pregnant and trying to eat slightly healthier it was very disappointing and made my dinner very bland. Everyone else had a lovely dinner!

A portion of chips and nuggets were missing and also dips that we had to pay extra for were missing too. been trying to phone the store to speak to them about this but no answer for the past 10 mins. Never ordering from these people again. Even 1 star is too much for this service.
