Was in the bar for most of the evening. Checked the bar next door and then refused reentry because one member of the party was wearing ‘sports shorts’ - despite leaving the bar 5 minutes previous with no issues. No reference on the website initially about dress code. Happy to take our custom at the start of the night and accept money then. Suddenly a change of opinion. Will leave our custom elsewhere. Poor customer service - disappointing.

Fantastic venue, really cool ambience and very friendly staff. The food is the best we’ve had in the area in a very long time, fresh and exciting, certainly a nice change from fried wings and cheesy everything! Highly recommended 👍🏻

Just had a wonderful lunch at the Dive Bar ( formerly the Bateau). We walked in and it had a great feel, still has the large shark hanging from the ceiling 😂 The barman was very friendly and polite . Nothing was too much trouble . Our lunch was very good , great choice for everyone and GF no problem , which is definitely a plus . I would highly recommend a visit and you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be returning.

Great, friendly service. Delicious food & well kept beer with bar staff that cared to make sure the beer was in perfect condition. Had the Thai fish cake, French fries, flatbreads and dip which went very well with Goose Island IPA. Will be back!

We have just had a wonderful meal at the Dive Bar in Ashley Cross. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and polite. The service was fast but I rushed. Really enjoyed the Food which was excellent and plenty of variety on offer. Will definitely be back for more. Well done to all the team.

We had a Sunday roast lunch, the beef was excellent, very tender and tasty. Plenty of roasted veg, cauliflower cheese, crisp roast potatoes and large home -made Yorkshire puddings. The guy who served us was very friendly and welcoming. The only tiny quibble is that the food could have been a bit hotter. All in all an enjoyable meal, would recommend.

I have been coming here for many years, and it is one of my favourite pubs for its selection of good ales and its traditional yet modern ambience. BUT I hate it when it has live music at weekends because the place becomes packed out with a very young clientele, conversation is impossible, and generally, the bands are not the greatest. Possibly this says more about me than the venue but if you like to have a couple of beers and a natter with friends then you should choose your nights very carefully!

Been a couple of times, especially on cold rainy days. Interesting place to walk round for a couple of hours. And it’s free.

Went to Neros for coffee on Good Friday at 10.15am. Young girls working behind the counter need to pay more attention to customer care and engage with customers immediately when customers approach the counter instead of carrying on with their own private conversations and only paying the customer attention when they have finished talking and at their own convenience.

Rosie at Poole branch was amazing. Completely met our needs and made sure we had drinks for our bottomless brunch. Thank you Rosie 🩷
