Visited once again, our favourite restaurant, had a fabulous meal yet again. All the courses were delicious. My partner had the bread and butter pudding that he said was the best he had ever had.

The Lighthouse Tea Room

13/02/2018: We popped in here for a bite to eat and tea/coffee - and what a pleasant surprise it was !!
15/02/2018: We popped in here after Mrs SmY had spotted a recommendation in the Yorkshire Life magazine...and we weren’t disappointed. Friendly staff took our orders and we settled down to a good lunch of a Chicken, Bacon and Avocado baguette and a Chorizo and cheddar melt. Both very tasty with a salad garnish. Watching other orders delivered to tables it was obvious that the food was good and in substantial portions.

The Singing Kettle

20/05/2018: We were staying at the Angel Hotel, and decided to give the Singing Kettle a try. Very good move, the breakfast was plentiful and well cooked, a lovely strong mug of coffee for me, in clean surroundings and with friendly helpful staff. Thank you all.
14/04/2018: Read the reviews on TA and we went for the full English breakfast afer a heavy session on the ale the night before. Full English just over a fiver and well worth it including a tea or coffee, bread and butter plus the brekkie had mushrooms, black pudding, beans and toms with bacon, eggs and sausage with toast. Great value and very kitsch.
