Dishoom Shoreditch in Hackney

I had a blood merry for 7£ but it worthless. It should cost £2.because of the amount of tomato juice and ice, I really regret to order something that should be great and nice to drink but it was too expensive for the 100 ml of tomato tomato juice

Après avoir tant entendu parlé de cette adresse, j’ai enfin pu découvrir l’univers Dishoom! Je n’ai pas eu à faire la queue et nous avons pu être placé très vite, en arrivant sur les coup de 11h45 un samedi. Le lieu est immense, si bien décoré aux couleurs de l’Inde. Nous nous sentons baignés dans un autre univers, celui de Bombay! La carte est dense qu’il est difficile de faire un choix, nous avons fini par se décider sur le samousa agneau (bon mais manquait d’un petit quelque chose en plus), puri (très moyen, et ce n’est pas le puri que je connais), palaak végétarien (delicieux!) et le roll chicken (incroyable, le poulet était si tendre). J’étais inquiète des critiques autour du bruit mais nous avons eu de la chance et avons été placé dans un coin calme. Le service est particulièrement efficace et rapide, et nous avons été très bien accueillis, merci pour cette expérience réussie!

Every few months I like to go to Dishoom for a solo brekky date with a book. It always feels like such a treat. I appreciate that I'm not made to feel weird being on my own/ rushed to give another party my table. The staff is always super respectful and hospitable and the food is always delicious (I'm a woman of habit, I always order the same thing and it never disappoints). Thanks for being wonderful!

The food was good and the service and atmosphere was exceptional. A big shoutout to Dan and Pedro. Dan accommodated our seating request as soon as an opening came up and Pedro's smiling service was top-notch. The experience justified the long wait.

I was a little disappointed because they didn't have the typical Indian dishes that we're used to, but it still tasted delicious. Unfortunately it was also a bit more expensive than elsewhere.

Second time at the Shoreditch branch in the last few weeks for mine and my boyfriend’s birthdays. Servers were super kind and friendly and made a big deal out of both birthdays, even organising a handwritten card from the team. Highly recommend.

Katie took care of us during our most recent visit to Dishoom Shoreditch. The hospitality afforded to anyone who visits Dishoom is always second to none; however, Katie went above and beyond even the most ridiculous expectations of service. Anyone is blessed to experience Dishoom, we were truly blessed to have met Katie, we hope not for the last time.

A must try when in London. Absolutely love the drinks, great food and service. Also buy their incense, they smell like luxury!

Went mid afternoon with a quite large party. Orders were taken quite quickly even though the restaurant was very busy. Excellent service and lovely food. Hard to beat!

We came to celebrate a 30th birthday and had great service. However, the food came out a bit too quickly; we felt slightly rushed. Aside from that, the restaurant was wonderful. The staff was kind and even provided us with plates for our birthday cake and takeaway containers. We loved it here!

Fascinating food and venue. Water served in metal cups is original but tastes better from a glass.

Very good restaurant. The dishes are excellent, superb atmosphere. On the other hand, the wait was a little too long compared to the announced deadline. To improve!

Tonight we were waiting in line for 65 minutes. For some it would have been a problem but at Dishoom Shoreditch time flew by as a lovely Portuguese waiter was being attentive and giving us free chai, cherry wine and mint tea. After waiting we were served by Anu (absolute star !!! ). The food was incredible. Anu gave us a delicious chocolate fondant with chilli ice cream which was to die for and on the house. Absolutely impeccable service from Anu and everyone at Dishoom Shoreditch. We keep coming back again and again because we know we wont be disappointed. 10/10.

I'll start by saying that the food is very good. We arrive very early because there is a long queue. They let you in by telling you 40 minutes and giving you a timer (but you can't leave the restaurant you have to stay inside in the super crowded bar area with no place to sit, while you're standing the waiter comes and asks you if you want a drink, you order a drink but you have to drink it standing in the crowd of people) - drinks cost a lot btw You finally sit down and they bring you the food very quickly but even there very small portions for the price they have. So you spent 1 hour waiting 30 minutes to eat because as soon as you finish your plate they ask you to pay... You pay on the online app which is also very nice. The problem is that when I look, in addition to the €50 each that we spent for not even eating much, there was a €10 tip for the waiter who I saw for 1 minute. There is NO such thing as including a tip in the bill, sometimes I had to remove it (because you can remove it but you have to ask the waiter) but I couldn't find the waiter... not wanting to wait in that overly crowded room I paid and left. I would never go back the food is good but also in other places much better you can spend less and have a non-stressful evening.

I love coming here with colleagues, but today I brought my teenage daughters. The food was excellent, if quite spicy, and the service was great as always.

Just ordered delivery. Items were missing and the rest was stone cold. No rice even though we had a bunch of curry? Deliveroo gave us a pathetic £4.20 refund even though it was inedible. Overpriced, cold food, and poor service.

A legendary Indian restaurant in London. There are many branches. It's very tasty and delicious. The recommended menu items include lamb, bean soup, salad, and potatoes with yogurt sauce. Every dish tasted very good, especially the lamb dish, which was considered soft and rich. The salad gets freshness and sweetness from the fruits. The soup is unbelievably rich, like eating malinara. The potato salad section is good for a starter dish. It is considered very worthwhile.

Probably the best breakfast I’ve had. It was flavoursome, delicious and good value for money. The service was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel special on my birthday. I can’t wait to come back for brunch again soon.

Even though it's so busy here, both the food and staff are exceptional as always. Guarantee you'll have a delicious meal here and the chai is just yum! Lots of teetotal drinks options too which is a rarity!

We went to this restaurant as a large family group to celebrate an important occasion. We made a reservation in advance. Our table was well served, in spite of the restaurant having a very busy lunchtime service, our waiter was attentive, polite and generous. We were given a free bottle of Prosecco due to the celebration we were having. The food was all very much appreciated and delicious, well portioned and piping hot. The lighting was a little dark, but other than that we had a perfect lunch experience here. Highly recommend.

We came to Dishoom Shoreditch with high expectations from the last time I visited their Kings cross branch, but end up with high disappointment. The entire restaurant was so stuffy, no ventilation at all. We Book a reservation 2 weeks ago to avoid the queue and secure a better seat. The seat arrangement was terrible than walk in, there are plenty of available seats, but they arrange us seat right next to the stair. People constantly walking around us, we didn’t have much space to move around literally stuck at our seat. The entire dining experience was so uncomfortable.

One of the top meals I’ve had in London. Highly recommend the chicken ruby and black daal. We came in around 8pm on a Sunday evening and got seated after waiting for about 15 min. The service is very punctual but it was a bit humid and hot for my table since there was no AC. Would definitely come back though.

Took my mum here for her birthday. She travelled from Cambridge and we were met with such lovely service from all waiting staff and the manager Oliver. They made her and her friend feel so special and were so kind. We will definitely be back soon. Really lovely experience.
