Cannot rate Dishoom highly enough. The food is always exemplary and the service is great. Came here for my sister's 40th and they even gave her a free dessert with a candle without being asked. The crumble dessert is particularly delicious along with everything else I've tried on their menu. The hype is justified and you can see why it's so hard to get a booking and why people will sometimes queue for an hour to get in.

As I can’t handle spice I don’t dine very much Indian food. But Dishroom was great. We had good selection and ordered yogurt dish to cool me down if too spicy🤪 I lived to place and service. Dessert was also good. It was friend’s birthday and staff was very kind with celebrating and paying extra attention. Would definetly recommend. Maybe only thing is better to book in advance. We were walk in customers and had to wait 45min. Well we were served tea while waiting so it made it worth as we felt looked after.

A really nice experience with the family. From the point of welcome through to the end was great. The staff were friendly, polite, and on hand at all times. The food was really nice, though I did have higher expectations for the presentation of the food - this I would suggest, needs to be a priority as you do naturally want to experience something that is echelons above other restaurants, but I didn't quite get that from here. On the other hand, the cocktails were presented well and I would recommend trying, even if you aren't overly adventurous! Wide selection of drinks and the food menu offered a nice range for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

Well worth the wait!! Great Negronis and THE FOOD! Every dish was delicious and had such flavour. The attention to detail is spot on and our Server Luca was absolutely brilliant - attentive, super friendly and incredibly knowledgable about all things Dishoom - the fact he’s been there 7 years spoke volumes. Before ordering wine he brought out little taster glasses and literally knew everything about each dish!! 10/10 experience. My only small thing would be that every single person we met and engaged with (6 in total) asked us if we had any allergies. I totally understand the need to check BUT surely this only needs to be addressed when we’re ordering the food; not in the queue, not when we get to the front of the line, not when we’re given the buzzer, nor when we order a drink 😅

I went here to celebrate my cousin’s birthday today the service was incredible the food was delicious. the server was really kind and really amazing and recommending dishes and drinks. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the dishes. The atmosphere was really welcoming and extremely busy. Overall i really enjoyed it. I would love to come here again as a special treat.

The service was great and the atmosphere was buzzing. Food was delicious and they have a great selection of non alcoholic drink especially the nespresso martini equivalent.

I made a reservation for just me (lucky because there was a massive queue) on Saturday evening. I got a proper table - in a lot of places I'd get placed at the bar. Service was prompt and staff was very kind. A well-oiled machine, food came out at a decent pace and staff never dropped the ball. Vibrant atmosphere, I didn't feel rushed. I had 4 dishes (a small bite, grilled dish, curry, side dish) and a roti, more than plenty of food for one and it was absolutely delicious! If you have auditory processing issues, it can get a bit loud and buzzy at peak times but it didn't take away from my experience :) would heartily recommend!

Absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious and came really quickly. The servers were very attentive, it just took a little while to get the bill as the restaurant had gotten busy since we arrived. Overall, would highly recommend!

We go to Dishoom for New Year’s Day every year as a family. I love their breakfast and brunch more than anything else and their other food. I would highly recommend . We prefer this venue too as it is visually really stunning and interesting and the atmosphere is great.

It took me 7 years to finally visit the King’s Cross branch - I’d only been to the OG Shoreditch one before. Same brilliant atmosphere, inimitable decor and professional friendly service, and of course the cult classics like the breakfast naan and bun maska chai. Can’t wait to come back. I love Dishroom, but this one in king’s cross is the best of all of them, great food, service and price, highly recommended, also the breakfast is amazing.

First time here. Heard a lot about this place and it was definitely worth a visit, especially for spicy-food lovers!

Great food with consistently good service. The only downside is that you have to queue to get in since it’s so popular and they only take reservations for parties of 6+ people. I go there often, mostly on Mondays since there isn’t normally a queue then. Really recommend the Black House Daal.

Always a winner. The best is the naan, black daal and okra. Add chicken Tikka for some meat

We had a great breakfast here today. There are lots of choices from savoury to sweet and of course spicy, accompanied by optional bottomless chai! The service staff are very friendly, welcoming and super efficient as must be the cooks & chef as the food comes out promptly, even when busy. I would recommend to anyone for breakfast but book first.

Always excellent food. Had breakfast on New Year’s Eve which was a lovely way to start the day.

We did not make a reservation for lunch, so the wait was 40 mins but they offered hot tea for those waiting! That was welcoming. The service was fast. The food was ok. Chili chicken was great but pav bhaji was too tangy. Paneer curry was ok. It has a fun vibe and is very busy.

The perfect Indian food. Our server, Sam, was the most attentive and responsive server I’ve ever met. He should be made king of England for what he’s done he should. With drinks and such the total was £20–30 but could’ve been in the £20–30 range without those items.

Gonna be a long one but worth reading, Me and my friends visited Dishoom King’s cross on 20th November 2024 in evening where we ordered a few drinks and food. Since everything was ordered before 5pm we as employees of Dishoom are entitled to a 50% discount on everything. We made sure to use this benefit and asked for the bill, while paying there was a difference in the bill amount when I tried to pay it online due to which I was not able to pay. We sat for another hour or so after which the bill brought to us was 25% discounted for which was wrong as we were not able to pay due to difference in bill amount before 5 pm. Anyway we settled up with part payments of 50% discount and 25% discount respectively. We had a horrible experience which me and my friends expressed in form of google reviews. They accused me of asking for free stuff when the server himself gave the Ipad to me, asking me to order what I wanted. They accused me of showing inappropriate hand gestures which they claim they have a video about, is not at all clear and me along with 4 more people said that I made no such hand gesture. Third and last they accused me of using derogatory language to one of the managers, which is baseless as anyone can come and say anything and without any proper evidence how can they say that I used it? I can say that they used derogatory language, will they trust me? I am on sick leave from around a month, and without any proper investigation they sent me a termination letter. I mean, how on earth can a big organisation like Dishoom do such a thing without the party being present for investigation? Other friend of mine was terminated as well for putting on a review against Dishoom whilst working in Dishoom, which again is against “SEVA” as they say. We in Dishoom have a lot of reviews from its own employees as well and most of them 5 stars, is it not against SEVA? Or is it just for bad reviews when concept of SEVA comes up for them? I have seen people drinking on shift…is it not against company policy? At the end I would like to thank Dishoom for rewarding us for whistleblowing the short comings of their cafe and awarding us with TERMINATION letters. I am pretty sure they will remove my review but I will put it again in case they delete it. Guys, at the end I would like to tell you, things are not as they seem to be. Please be cautious if they can do this with their staff for reporting the short comings they can do this to anyone. Thanks

First of all, I must emphasize that you have to reserve a table (better through the site or google), otherwise you will wait too long to eat Indian food... The place as a place is nothing special. The interior layout needs to be changed a bit by adding more restrooms because from our table to get to the restroom you had to walk 100-150m. The toilet a little different from the standard toilet (picture 1). The food for Indian overhyped and superoverpriced for the quantity (picture 2). The quality of what I tried was average to good. The girl who served us was detailed and descriptive of the dishes, but a bit pushy when ordering extra dishes, as if we had to raise the bill to get a bigger tip. I have never seen so much pressure as if her Indian employer is underpaying her. Nice garlic bread (garlic nan) and fried zucchini style french fries (okra fries) but they didn't need all that pressure. The autogratuity(tip) was 12.5% ​​they charged us like in other shops in London, however as I read from other reviews they could ask if we would pay it or not by throwing the ball of self-humiliation at us (picture 3). Nice the whole concept of the shop giving charity to schools in India but for a European to be fasting and an Indian kid (and well) full is a bit ridiculous. All people should be full and happy. Finally, it was funny that for a £157.73 (~€190) bill they brought us candies and a -£10 voucher for the next visit. 2* for the tasty minimal dishes.

We were excited to get a reservation for the last night of our family vacation in London. The food was excellent, the service friendly and the atmosphere lively. Did not disappoint - would definitely recommend and return.

The food and service are always excellent. On arrival, we sat upstairs and used the client butler's sink to wash our hands—a great touch. The whole place works like a well-oiled machine. The day we visited the weather was very wet. The staff provided people waiting outside with umbrellas. Nice touch.

Went in for breakfast prior to a day out and about. Lovely venue, walking distance from St Pancras (and the Eurostar). Good service. Wonderful food! We had the breakfast Naan’s - Bacon & Egg, and Sausage & Egg. Both were really tasty. Freshly squeezed Orange juice deserves a mention too!

Dishoom King's Cross is a fantastic spot for flavorful Indian food! The Wrestler's Naan Roll was delicious, and the house chai tea was perfect. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was fun and lively. I would definitely recommend it!
