Dishoom King's Cross in Camden

Some of my friends and family are based in Kent and their train comes into St Pancs. Dishoom, Kings Cross is quickly becoming my favourite place to take them, especially if it’s someone I want to impress ;) Food is always excellent the atmosphere is perfect and the staff go above and beyond every single time.

Amazing restaurant with great vibe. Dishoom never disappoints. The staff is amazing with great service. I would definitely recommend reservation in advance especially on weekends.

Really busy night and it was absolute pleasure to have server Charlotte on Valentine’s Day look after us. Very attentive and professional, can’t praise her highly enough!

Second time here and ate the same black Dahl which was as amazing and comforting. My friend’s salad arrived without dressing but they brought it along and offered a replacement. Seating downstairs had less atmosphere than upstairs but it was midday on Thursday and the place was full. Good value.

Poor service quality, a white male staff kind of acting racist, it is very rude to correct one's language especially when she's not a native speaker, besides, I don't think "we're ready to order" is an improper expression, and that day was my birthday .

Lovely experience all round. You can book outside of lunch hour for small groups so we booked for 2:45pm and passed the huge queue outside. Staff were welcoming and attentive. Food was terrific. The only peculiarity was the poppadoms we had were little mouthful meshed savoury crispy rounds which did not give a poppadom experience and were salty as well. They were O.K but not what was expected. Food was great across omnivore and vegetarian diners in our group.

I love this restaurant. The food is very tasty, full of flavours. The interior is beautiful and there is room so we don’t feel like we are sharing tables with the neighbours.

Lovely set of small plates for a late lunch. Great old building with many tables and levels. Lighting rather low so bring a torch to read the menu perhaps. All round a lovely lunch and would recommend if in the Kings Cross area.

Really love Dishoom, we go regularly for breakfast. Staff are welcoming and polite. Even with quite a large queue for tables, we only waited about 15 minutes. The Chai is lovely and the food is delicious.

Always a fabulous meal in Dishoom, the Wrestler's Naan was delicious. Great service and they brought out a surprise treat as it was my birthday. Can't wait to return.

Nasir was incredible. He was attentive, informative, he wiped my mouth when I had ruby on it, he burped my friend, and made me feel like I am ready to love again. The daal is fine.

Good atmosphere and friendly staff

Spent about an hour q’ing up for a group of 6, only to be asked to stand on the side to wait in a seperate q for almost an hour and a half. The Service is terrible, cos they let in a group of 5 and sat them in while we had to wait outside? Not worth the q, so many other places in London to try

The very best of Indian cuisine offered by friendly staff in a warm and enchanting location despite its large and multi-level space. Aromatic and tasty dishes of different descriptions.

Really friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff. My 20 month old is allergic to egg and they made sure to check and find out what dishes wouldnt be suitable for her. We had breakfast and the flavour and portion size alone of the wrestler's naan was enough to make anyone happy. But add to this the beautifully decorated building, location, atmosphere and positive vibe makes for a fantastic but humble experience.

Friends and colleagues are always raving about here, so when I met my friend for a catch-up, this was the perfect opportunity. I had been prepped that there's usually a queue for a table, so I was relieved that the wait wasn't too long, especially on such a cold day. A really nice touch was the staff offering little shots of tea while we waited in line. The interior is gorgeous, with a buzzing atmosphere, and the bathrooms really transport you to a different era! The bar is cramped but has a wide selection of cocktails. The food, however, was only ok - maybe it was what we chose, but I was expecting much more oomph to the dishes. I left feeling somewhat let down, but I am willing to give it another go...

One the iconic Dishooms in London! The industrial architecture and decor are a masterpiece, the staff is so lovely and efficient and the food tasty and spicy as expected from the Dishoom name. It's no cheap but not crazy expensive (cocktails a little over £10. Great and large selection of non alcoholic cocktails/drink!!). It's a nice treat and especially agreable as a group so you can order many different dishes to taste and share. The reservation policy is very specific (up to 5.45pm, and after 6pm only groups of 6 or more. And that's only a very tables...) Therefore be prepared to queue for up to 1h30 on key evenings like Fridays and Saturdays. Personal favourites: Brocoli Salad, Lamb Sheekh Kebab, Black Dahl, Mutton Pepper Fry and any Naan (the cheese naan is cheeeesy)

I was on my own..got excellent welcome and lots of smiles. It's a huge restaurant which was v busy yet staff all v attentive and calm. My first time at a Dishoom.. the House Chaat was fabulous and the chutneys all delicious with my samosas. Will definitely be back and bring my husband next time .. thank you I don't always get the best service when I eat out on my own.. but I had the best food experience today at Dishoom xxx

Tasty food, lovely chai tea, hit and miss service though. Man at the front deskvery friendly and welcoming, man who served our table lovely. Lady who showed us to our table was just rude, having asked to sit at low table having just had surgery, she walked us back upstairs, only to make mistake, laugh about it and say we needed to go back downstairs to then place us by the toilet...surely not a coincidence. We then asked to move to one of the multiple low tables not by the toilet, this followed a passive aggressive radio upstairs to check, finally shown to a suitable table to then be asked in a very patronising tone if this was ok. None of our requests were OTT, especially when given the context which she was aware of. Lucky the food and her colleagues made up for her attitude but just so unnecessary and doesn't make you want to return.

I had passed this place a few times and seen large queues, so I figured it was worth a try. Due to the queues I booked in advance, which was a good idea as the place was packed. The food was delicious and there was a wide choice. I am not fond of spicy food and still found plenty to eat. Portions looked small when it was delivered, but it was actually enough to fill us up. It was a good price for London. The atmosphere was great, and the building itself was interesting. Staff were fantastic. Our server took great care of us without getting in the way. Everything was promptly delivered. It did take a bit of time to get the bill, but equally, it was nice not to be rushed out the door after the last bite. The restaurant is accessible to people who use a wheelchair or have mobility issues. There is step free access and a lift to all floors. There is a disabled toilet. One small complaint is that the writing on the menu was too small. Even with my glasses on, I struggled to read the options.

Took my mum for lunch spending around £75, had some bumps in service but overall were nice. My main issue is upon asking to take food away they didn’t include half of my paneer wrap which I was so looking forward to. What a waste to throw away that food when I asked to take it away!

The food was amazing as was the service. I'm lactose intolerant and my waitress crossed out all the meals I couldn't eat on the entire menu in 3 seconds without hesitation. Serious menu knowledge!

I’ve been dreaming of coming back since I first ate here in 2020! Finally I returned to London and it was so worth the wait!!

Atmosphere is always good, came here for corporate team breakfast many times. Friendly fast and efficient service ,the bottomless chai and eggs kerjiwal amazing as always!

We loved the experience. Our waiter was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us great tips on what to order. The food was delicious. We’ll go back.

Cannot rate Dishoom highly enough. The food is always exemplary and the service is great. Came here for my sister's 40th and they even gave her a free dessert with a candle without being asked. The crumble dessert is particularly delicious along with everything else I've tried on their menu. The hype is justified and you can see why it's so hard to get a booking and why people will sometimes queue for an hour to get in.

As I can’t handle spice I don’t dine very much Indian food. But Dishroom was great. We had good selection and ordered yogurt dish to cool me down if too spicy🤪 I lived to place and service. Dessert was also good. It was friend’s birthday and staff was very kind with celebrating and paying extra attention. Would definetly recommend. Maybe only thing is better to book in advance. We were walk in customers and had to wait 45min. Well we were served tea while waiting so it made it worth as we felt looked after.

A really nice experience with the family. From the point of welcome through to the end was great. The staff were friendly, polite, and on hand at all times. The food was really nice, though I did have higher expectations for the presentation of the food - this I would suggest, needs to be a priority as you do naturally want to experience something that is echelons above other restaurants, but I didn't quite get that from here. On the other hand, the cocktails were presented well and I would recommend trying, even if you aren't overly adventurous! Wide selection of drinks and the food menu offered a nice range for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.

I went here to celebrate my cousin’s birthday today the service was incredible the food was delicious. the server was really kind and really amazing and recommending dishes and drinks. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the dishes. The atmosphere was really welcoming and extremely busy. Overall i really enjoyed it. I would love to come here again as a special treat.
