Dinneywicks in Stroud

I like that the Dinneys is very child friendly, kids can enjoy themselves as well as the adults, that's what a good village pub is about, the young community and the old creating a busy welcoming atmosphere. It's a nice change from the fousty city pubs and their patrons who seem to think kids shouldnt be seen or heard! Very helpful, polite and friendly.

First meal out since covid lockdown and what a disappointment. The food was mediocre, staff friendly but our issue was the group of mothers out on a jolly not looking after their children who seem to think its perfectly OK for their multiple children to run screaming from the play area into the pub to play hide and seek, whilst other patrons were trying to enjoy food and a drink on a Friday after work!!

Wife and I had a very nice lunch in the sunny garden on Tuesday 20th April. I had the Davesaka and she had a pizza. Portions were excellent and the quality was great. The service was good and the Uley Pig’s Ear was on good form. Will definitely be making this a regular lunchtime venue.

Just had a Saturday night takeaway and really enjoyed it. I had Cheese Burger and missus had Pizza. Burger was very good and Pizza also excellent. Portions were generous in fact far too many chips. All in all a good Saturday night takeout.

Nice waitresses and cosy décor but the food was very average. Nothing to tempt us to go there again.

This is our local, and we’re really lucky to have such a great little pub in the village. The beers and ciders are great, well kept, and while the choice of ales is small, it’s constantly changing, so there’s always something different to try. The wines are also pretty good (based on trying 2 or 3 of the reds). The food is also great - a small menu supplemented by really varied specials. They’re always trying something different, which I love to see. A takeaway pizza is a regular “can’t be arsed to cook” option, and they’re consistently delicious. Pies are good, burgers are good, fish and chips are good. Sunday roasts are also great - just book in advance! There’s a variety of music and entertainment on fairly regularly too.

Met a friend here for a drink and something to eat. They serve decent pub grub - pizza and burgers and the staff were very friendly and courteous. Was not so sure about the band though, it sounded like were coming in to do their weekly band practice.

Super friendly staff, wide range of options (incld, vegan), large portions & very tasty so good value for money but happily "shared" a meal between 2 elderly dinners so really worth a visit.

A superb free house pub with an ever changing menu, the staff are friendly and nothing is to much, well worth the visit! Look out for the regular entertainments!👌👍

Took my parents to Dinneywicks Fish night for my dads birthday and did they us proud. Fab atmosphere, great hosts and the food was totally faultless. All 4 of us can't praise the chef Guiseppe and his team, along with Aggie and Alex. Thanks for a really smashing evening.

Dinneywicks is a such a welcoming local pub and the food is amazing. We have eaten there on many occasion for a number of reasons, the staff give you a lovely warm welcome when you arrive and also the standard of the food. The Pizza’s are you die for and to be totally honest, the surpass the likes of the big pizza delivery company’s and the restaurants both on flavour and price. The pie and mash are again amazing, my favourite is the Chicken one. Burgers, there is a great selection, they are succulent and flavoursome. Sunday roasts are outstanding however booking is essential as due to high quality, price a lot of people go there for it. So if you want a lovely experience with great food, warm welcome from staff , villagers all with a large selection of great beers, massive gin selection come and have a visit at Dinneywicks you will not be disappointed.

The Dinneywicks under the guidance of its new management has restored it to a centre for village meetings and socialising. The beer is well kept with a good choice of tasts .and the food offering is good freshly prepared ,with helping sizes to suite Hungary walkers and locals alike.

We’ve just moved to the area and have eaten here a couple of times. The pizza and burgers are delicious and the roast dinner was lovely. There are a large number of Gins to try and a good choice of beer. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Great place for a few drink and something to eat.

We recently visited the Dinneywicks for Sunday lunch where we all had roast dinners. The lamb and the beef were succulent and tender and were served with plenty of vegetables (including carrots cooked in Whiskey) The staff were friendly and efficient and we will definitely be visiting again 😊

Come here alot with my friends, it's always quick and easy. Food is very much reasonably priced and the staff are unwelcoming and helpful. No complaints!

Brilliant steaks on Tuesday night. Ambiance quiet and enjoyable. Excellent wine, had the Puno grigio tonight.

Dinneywicks is a lovely pub whether you want just a drink or a meal. The food is excellent and there is a lovely outside area at the back which is lovely on a sunny day.

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch, couldn't be faulted. Lots of meat, the vegetables were tasty, crunchy roast potatoes, everything about it was just how I like my Sunday lunch!

We like this pub, the beers and the food. Good music and good people! Owners are very nice. We will come back, certainly!

Had a lovely Sunday roast, and takeaway gourmet burger on another occasion. Fantastic gin bar and plenty of beer for the hubbie! Highly recommend this lovely village pub.

Had a great meal at the Dinneywicks. Food was delicious and service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. A very enjoyable evening and we will be returning again soon.

La buena gente de Kingswood tiene la suerte de tener este pub que tiene un ambiente acogedor y local, un buen toque para tener una biblioteca en el área de la viuda delantera. Solo queríamos un almuerzo ligero y elegimos la sopa de tomate, que nos sorprendió con lo bueno que era. Si fuéramos más locales en el área, deberíamos estar contentos de regresar.

We booked a table at the Dinneywicks last week to celebrate our son's 17th Birthday. The food was very good with the chicken burger being a particular hit. As usual the service was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome.

The Dinneywicks has been transformed into a very welcoming local with an excellent range of beers. the food is tremendous with a distinct Italian strength. Very welcoming staff.

Great to see the Dinneywicks back open again under new friendly management, and staff. When you walk in you are greeted with friendly happy staff. The interiors has had a fresh clean makeover, and the extensive garden has ample seating on the warm summer days, The new menu with a Italian vibe and flavours from great Italian chefs. Along with the traditional english pub meals, with a twist. Sunday traditional dinner is also available. There is a great selection of real ales, beers, and wines, and now spirits. I would recommend a visit or two to this great establishment.

We were staying near here and decide to pop in for a drink, it was fairly quiet but had a range of drinks although there was only one lager on offer which we hadn't heard of but my husband said it was really nice. We sat in the garden which has a number of tables, it seems a very nice little pub.

This revitalised pub/restaurant is run by wonderful people who provide a friendly and inviting welcome and wonderful food. My wife and I will be going back frequently.

The food is nice albeit some reasonably priced and some expensive. £8 for a panini which is a lot but you can have a Sunday roast for £10.90 which is reasonable. The pizza is good but again expensive for what it is.

Recently renovated and chefs formerly at the Fox, Hawkesbury bring Italian flavour to the menu. I had an excellent pizza and my partner very good cod fishcakes and salad. Menu is quite small but has a selection of specials. Didn't have dessert but the Eton Mess special looked delicious. Relaxed eating in the garden on a sunny evening. Good beers, reasonably priced and very worth the walk from Wotton which has quite limited choice of places to eat. I hope this place does well and very worth trying. Busy at weekends when you need to book.

Friendly staff, very welcoming. Good food, pizzas are best I have ever had. Sunday lunch is excellent. Looking forward to hearing there again.

Have been to The Dinneywicks Inn on two occasions whilst visiting my daughter who lives in Dursley. Its set back off the main road, but still easy to spot if you are passing by. They do a good range of drinks and food and the staff are very friendly. A good place to visit if you are in the area.

Cuando nos fuimos, todos los grifos de cerveza de barril estaban apagadas y todos había disponible era rubia. Cuando pedimos la comida, nos dijeron que no estaban haciendo comida para seis meses! Me sentía apenado por el propietario de socorro que estaba recibiendo todo el dolor. Quizás es un buen lugar normalmente, pero según esta visita no me molestaría de nuevo.

This is in KINGSWOOD, a mile south of Wotton so don't look for it on the Chipping there! A nice ordinary Pub but with PROPER Sunday lunches, Lovely meat (usually choice of 3) good roast potatoes and a selection of up to 6 veg in an individual dish; on Sunday we had sweet potato, creamed leeks, red and Savoy cabbage, carrots and peas! Run by a nice couple, he serves and she cooks - oh, and the puds are great too!

Ahora tenemos pescado y patatas fritas allí dos veces a la hora del almuerzo, cada vez la comida era excelente; caliente, sabroso y bien presentado. John y Charlotte son una pareja encantadora y merecen su éxito y si llevan en que sirve buena comida que hay gente que quiere comer a un precio que quieres pagar, entonces estoy seguro de que será.

Haven't been for several years but really enjoyed being back as the food was of a very high standard, far better than the overall experience might suggest as the pub feels slightly dated inside still. Service quick and perfect balance of friendly and professional. Food pricing very reasonable and while wine slightly pricey for local market it was a really nice wine and I'd pay for that any day. In all it may just tip us back there tomorrow instead of cooking.

A lovely old village pub, friendly efficient staff, delicious wild mushroom cottage pie with various side vegetable. Great ham, eggs and chips (chunky British chips!). Knowledgable staff help select suitable ale. Warm and pleasant atmosphere. I recommend you give them a try.

This is my local, literally across the road, it's recently under new management and they are doing a fabulous job. The restaurant side is up and running with good home cooking foods. It's not fancy, but it's delicious!They have just this month started a takeaway service on a Monday night, I tried for the first time this evening, possibly the best takeaway fish and chips I've ever had. Fresh, cooked perfectly and the bonus says my husband of having a sneaky pint while you wait as food is cooked to order.You would think it might be more expensive than the local'ish chippy, but it's incredibly competitive, you really can't go wrong.So wether you live nearby or are visiting our beautiful village you really should visit! Big secure pub garden at the back.
