Kebab was cold pizza was too greasy I wish to get another free or store credit chips were not coke thoroughly

This is our new go to pizza/kebab place. Great food, great friendly service. Generally order on line & collect has been ready at the time stated every time do far.

The best food in the world and the service is even better one time when I had no money they offered me free food they are hard working true people and I couldn’t recommend this shop anymore

This place used to be great, but the last few times I’ve been half your food is sitting ready going cold while they sort the rest of your order You place a order on the phone they write it down you get home and they’ve got you order wrong and missing items I’m mean how hard can it be I would avoid at all costs it’s not the take away it used to be

What a great local take away. Got into a real pickle this evening but the staff were incredibly understanding and helpful and we worked it all out! My boys loved those pizza and chips. Will definitely be back again!

Been waiting 3 hours for the food and it still hasn’t came

Consistently the best chicken kebabs and pizzas in Whitley Bay. The staff are super friendly, with good banter!!!

Imagine the scene! Newcastle dumped out of the cup on penalties. A fan looking for a quick pick me up in his local kebab place only to find that he could not pay £11 on his card/phone for his desired dish (£6.50 elsewhere in Whitley Bay) unless he signed up to a third party and paid a surcharge! No other option but to leave empty handed and empty bellied! I will not be going back!

Absolute garbage all the sauce was leaked out into the bag, salad was poor first time in over a year I’ve ordered and it will be a long time before I order again. Pay £3.50 for a delivery charge then the driver looks at you for a tip!!

Reasonable food however ordered online & they gave me the wrong order; had a call when travelling home accusing me of being 'dishonest' for taking someone elses order, even though they gave me it. My assumption is they would provide the correct order so I wouldnt need to check before travelling home, i even offered to take it back.

XL Chicken Kebab is always good. Decent pizzas too. They frequently ignore you and leave you standing at the counter for a while but that aside the food is nice.

Guy who answered the phone was so rude . Put the phone down as I tried to order . Shame as the last time we ordered it was good . Very poor customer service 👎🏻

Ordered the meal deal 3 to pick up 10” stagioni and 12” Mexican. Received 10” bbq chicken and sweetcorn 🤮. How can you mix that up

Took pizza 2 hours to arrive, and when it did, pizza was cold and soggy. Tried ringing multiple times, but nobody answers, husband even went out in the car to go and collect himself, but eventually it turned up. Disappointed as had high hopes, and I won't be ordering from them again

Disappointed to have ordered and paid for an extra chilli sauce and it's not there on delivery. What are you going to spend my £1.10 on?

Ordered through just eat. Order accepted and delivered. Upon delivery rude driver told me that they wouldn’t be delivering again as they don’t deliver to the area. Why sign up to just eat then? Why charge more than other takeaways to deliver? Mediocre food. Cold and most ended up in the bin. Would not recommend on basis of quality of food and experience of customer service - of which there was none!

On what planet is a parmo covered in spicey bread crumbs and almost no cheese ive tried a lot of so called parmos in Tyneside some aren't bad but this was by far the worst and coming from the original home of the Parma I know my stuff Istanbul would do a better copy

Rude staff. Rotten service. Wanted to buy a meal over the phone and they were incapable of doing it. Bought the meal from a nearby compeditor's shop instead. Search the internet for alternatives before you buy from this lot.

Ordered on a Friday. It was an hour later than they said it would be and not hot when it arrived. Also fobbed off by the shop staff when we called up to ask about it. Cold pizza and rubbish service.

Waited almost 2, yes 2, hours for 3 pizzas. When I called to ask about delivery, was told driver almost there...each time. To be fair was offered a discount at some stage but its a local company so couldn't. Pizzas arrived cold. If son didn't love their pizzas so much, I'd never use again.

Ordered from you on Saturday evening. Waited an hour. Got 2 calls, however I couldn't get through to the shop as was engaged. When I finally spoke to your assistant, was told the delivery driver had been but couldn't deliver the food as he couldn't find the house. Considering that we have ordered from you several times before for delivery. When the order arrived food was cold through

BEST FOOD EVER. My family have been coming here for years (generations!) Their kebabs, pizzas, sauces, pasta everything is amazing and is made using the best/freshest ingredients. Thank you Dimitris, you have gave us the most incredible meals and great family memories.

Very good service and quality food

As usual the 15 minute wait went to 45 mins Chicken was hammered as normal and Donna cold.. And to top it off when I got home 1 meal was missing. Why do I go there.. Never again. Its the Turkish delight on park view for me from now on, better cooked super fresh salad 5 minute turnround.

Been using Dimitri's for over 20 years now and have found it to give consistently good food. I will continue to support it. The chicken kebab is unrivalled and the sauces (garlic & chilli) are some of the best in the area for sure - please never change. Be aware that they do get very busy over a weekend so its important to manage expectations on delivery/collection times - dont be a nob about it - the staff are sound and work very hard. How busy the place is is testatment to the taste and quality of bait on offer. Keep it up guys.

Drive from North shields as there kabab wraps r amazing

Food was pretty bad and one of the meals didn’t come, and I was busy at the time so couldn’t ring up until later, and then when I did ring they were closed, so waited until I next got the chance to ring to let them know and they refused to give me a refund and refused to deliver the food another time, so I paid £8.50 (tip off) for an item that didn’t come and they didn’t give me my money back... won’t be going back.

I travel all over europe through my job,and NOTHING even comes a close 2nd to dimitris chicken kebabs,they are the BEST...⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great 'Cajun Chicken Wraps' and 'Shish Wraps'

Not been here for a while and I know the reason why!! The food in there is cooked with the cheapest of Ingredients and shop can buy. The kebab meat was curled up and dry as its been kept warm to long and the pizzas I don't know what they think cheese is but that is not it!! Then one of the drivers with hair down her back walks round handli g food and give change to other drivers. The standards of food hygiene is very low. I would not recommend that place to anyone to use and ii would not feed my dog that food they sell.

If only everyone in the take away industry was this friendly, good food, clean kitchen and best of all the guys who run the place. First started using this place when I was about 15, still going at 41, they must be doing something right.

Really disappointed tonight. I am away in the Lake District and my daughters at home and ordered a pizza, arrived uncooked/raw in places, she called up and said somebody was rude to her and got nowhere. So spent last half hour on the phone to calm her down. I’ve never been dissatisfied before and enjoy kebabs here on a regular basis. ReL shame this had happened.. back to my holiday now.

Used last week after about a 6 month break ! I have been using Dimitris for about 20 years! Food is excellent- I had forgotten how good! Highly recommended!🍟🍔🍕🍢xx

Never ever order from here again after finding metal stapel in my pizza ,fobbed off after calling a couple of times ,I never wanted anything free as food was average anyway just wanted to highlight there was an issue with the food but they said they don't use staples near the food but they must!!

Based on tonight's performance shame I can't give it zero stars. Extremely rude front of house, left and went somewhere else. They used to care about customers, perhaps the fact competition is non existent in the area has led to arrogance?

One star but would be zero if possible, appauling service, not even noticed, even tho only person in shop, not at least a hello, I will be with you in a second? nothing short of abnoctious, then when asked to see a manager was confronted with "I am the manager" then after an exchange of words 2 guys came out claiming to be owners, who did try and solve what ever fracus that went on, but by this time too little too late, nor did they even acknowledge my wait and upset they just wanted to cook my food and get me out of there, just put effort and time into the team regarding customer service would be beneficial in the long run and prolong a good experience for your continued customer, poor shame for such a family orientated community absolutely devastated to then pass on this experience to my family and friends.

I decided to give dimitris another go after receiving the wrong change previous to going. Unfortunately they didn’t please me again. I ordered two pizzas one margarita and one with Bolognase. The Bolognase pizza was apparently Below average and not worth getting again but the margarita was lovely until the final three slices seemed to taste different to the rest, I then noticed that there seemed to be something else in the pizza. There was onions in the pizza which I cannot stand but was just fortunate the order went to me and not someone who may of had an allergy to them or something but I still had to bin the rest and waste my money again here. I used to like ordering food from here but it’s really not the same as it used to be.

Absolutely pathetic counter service ! Used to love this place and used to make a point to go when I’m home as I now live overseas - I doubt i’ll waste my time or money next time. We ordered over the phone, arrived 30 minutes later only to be ignored for a further 20 minutes, despite being second in the que we didn’t even get a “hi”, “Collection or new order” or even “2seconds, we’re busy”. The delivery drivers & chefs seem to be playing a game of “David Blunkett Vs Stevie Wonder” by avoiding eye contact at every opportunity ! If it wasn’t for a girl walking out of the kitchen, my pizza’s would have sat for longer ontop of the oven. From the point she acknowledging me, to me paying and leaving the shop was 2 minutes turn around ! Shame the several other staff don’t have basic manors and customer service skills !! By the way, I don’t usually leave reviews - tonight has annoyed me as this has happened on last 3 visits over last year & a half so I’m so it’s not isolated - Shame to see a once good place go down hill !

Best Takeaway in whitley bay! All the guys are super canny and the food is super, have been going here for about 5 years and couldnt recomend it enough! only downside is deliveries can take a while sometimes which is a shame

Just drove to this place today to get the worst kabab I have ever had, the meat was discussing wouldn't of fed it to my dog. Waste of money

Can't beat there chicken kebabs! Best around!

Only giving 1 star cos you can't rate with 0 stars. They added half an hour onto collection time. So when u got there I had to wait in car for another 30 mins. When I went in to pick up there was raw meat just inches away from the cooked chicken that was being served to customers. As soon as I was ignored a few times for regular customers I then decided it was definitely not the place for me. Don't waste ur time. Has good reviews on just eat but I can assure u it is not the place to go.

Ordered through just eat. Restaurant added 20mins to the delivery time. Just eat app was updated so the status was 'delivered' when it was due. It was delivered a further 15mins later. Food is normally decent but lamb on shish kebab was very grizzly. Poor effort.

Absolutely terrible. Staff where very ignorant. Had to wait 45mins for food then to get home and my food was cold. Only ordered a Donner Kebab. Wouldn't be going there again.

Waited over 40 minutes for food only to get home and discover they had forgot my garlic bread. Chicken wrap came in a box with salad in sepearate sections, if I order a chicken wrap with salad I expect the salad to be in the wrap but instead I had to assemble the wrap myself. Terrible service, terrible food
