We enjoyed a lovely meal here with family. Winchester is a mutual meeting point for my parents and as I am a picky eater, it's not always easy finding somewhere we will all enjoy. They advertised a 2 course meal outside but we were not offered these menus, only the regular menu. The pad thai was lovely, a little expensive for 6 prawns, but it was tasty and enjoyable. The coconut rice was also really nice, I didn't try any of the other dishes but everyone enjoyed them, although my Dad said the beef was a little tough. It was busy and service was good. Just watch out when paying the bill, I was sat trying to find money for a tip but then we reaslised a 10% service charge had already been added on so don't get caught out. Overall it was a nice meal in a nice city central restaurant.

Really good food. Not exactly what I would call fusion fare but it is a good mix of food from the far east. Good selection of teas instead of just the usual jasmine green tea. Nice to see oolong on the menu. Tom Yum soup was really good but perhaps too many of the large flat noodles. Will eat here again when I am next in the city

Small food portions - £20 is enough for a child. Poor service - We often don't know where they are or find them absorbed in the computer. They don't take care of the guests. Expensive - Enjoy afternoon tea portions at dinner prices.

I had the festive set menu today. I enjoyed the dim sum and the lotus biscoff cheesecake, but I wasn’t as keen on my main which was Korean fried chicken. I think I expected more, but I enjoyed it never the less.

My wife and I visited Dim T on the way home from a trip to Dubai yesterday and had a super experience. We were looking for some good quality and non batch made food, in a laid back environment after a long plane trip. The head waiter (who we think was maybe the manager) was excellent with attending to my wifes allergies, very considerate and thoughtful - she has an annoying allergy to onion. The food was very tasty, light and did not leave you with that heaving feeling you get from greasy takeaway. We really loved it and will be back another night soon. Super effort to the front of house team and kitchen.

I always come here with friends and family. It is one of the places in Winchester I suggest to people. The food and wine is amazing and the service is pretty good!

From the moment myself and my husband entered we had nothing but outstanding service. I had the Japanese Fried Rice with Chicken and it was amazing. My husband had the Pad Thai with Chicken. We were meant to swap over half way and neither of us managed as our meals were amazing.

Used to visit now again until about 4 years ago. Nipped in a couple weeks back. Tom yum soup was basically just watery tomato with about 4 tiny prawns no proper Thai spice anywhere near it. No lemongrass, galangal, chilly lime...nothing with any proper flavour. I ate it as ws just hungry. The rest of the meal I can't even remit was that forgettable.. service was OK though. Won't be back its gone way downhill.

Waitress was friendly enough but insisted on clearing plates away while people were still eating she did this a number of times. Tried to clear our wine glasses away we still had wine left in the bottle! My friend still had food in her bowl and just as she put her fork down the waitress tried to clear her plate ! I asked the waitress to wait please and check she had finished. This really annoyed me throughout the meal. Food was good Maybe some training needed

Really friendly staff. Great food. Kids love it. I would recommend the Japanese rice. We like to stop here for lunch on our way to the coast.

Very nice setting and very accommodating staff, in particular our waitress Elya who was an absolute delight, she ensured we were happy and had what we wanted - took time to talk us through the cocktails and added a personal touch to our evening. Thank you Elya

Only ordered their Chicken and Pork Bao buns and they were not great. Both were of low quality and there wasn't much meat in either and not a lot of taste. I have tried bao buns in the area which are much much better ie Anitas Kitchen

For a Sunday night on a bank hol weekend it looked pretty quiet, but soon filled up and was very busy. The service was good on the whole, a little rushed in parts with numerous staff asking if I was ready to order (when I already had, twice!). Soggy prawn crackers were a downside, but very easily rectified. Only meaningful feedback to the management is that when the menu states an item as being shredded crispy duck…please don’t bring it to the table unshredded. The waiter that brought it over asked if I would like it shredded and I said yes…he made a complete mess of it and clearly didn’t know what he was doing. As with the ordering, I was asked to pay 3 times…having already done so. A bit of tlc with staff training - that’s all that’s needed.

Large group lunch out and staff were great. As a coeliac needing gluten free options they were helpful and knowledgeable (told me prawn crackers were in same fryer as gluten so not suitable so suggested edamame instead). My prawn green curry brought out first and clearly labelled with ‘allergy’ wooden flag so I felt safe. A good place for group gatherings yet still personal and helpful service from our two main waitresses. One other waiter not so friendly. Green curry could have been spicier (hotter) but still enjoyed a safe gluten free lunch.

We’d arrived in Winchester and popped in for a light lunch and the staff were friendly & helpful. The food was really tasty and so we popped back for an evening meal on our last night in the city. Again, the staff couldn’t have been more lovely - so smiley, friendly and welcoming, it really makes a difference! The food too, was absolutely delicious! We had the chicken mango salad & lemon chicken with rice and everything was so fresh & tasty. Really wish we had a Dim T closer to home! Thank you to all the wonderful staff here.

We regularly order take away from there and go to that restaurant. The service is great. Lots if options for any dietary requirements. The children’s menu is great and the give stickers to the children. Highchairs are also available. The food is tasty. Always a pleasure. We’ll be back for sure

I tried both the Phad Thai and the green papaya salad. The food at Dim T was tasty, I appreciated that the Phad Thai was not too oily. The serving sizes are not that large. Our waiter was very nice.

Had a great impromptu meal here last night. Had sort of fallen out of love with Dim T after a few lack lustre meals in their Whiteley branch, but Winchester's food was at it's best, the 5 spice squid was beautifully tender and delicately flavoured, the gyosa's perfectly cooked and packed with flavour. I had the Korean fried chicken which was delicious & very moreish. The service was spot on, very friendly, time to have a chat and in terma of Covid19 safety they'd struck a great balance between safety and retaining some atmosphere. Well done guys, we'll be back!

We booked on a week night when they were very busy, but the service was still good despite a little slow everyone was friendly an polite. The food arrived and was very tasty and hot. The dumplings are delish. Only downside was they had run out of soy sauce!! Which was a bit of a downer ! Will be back soon :)

Dim T has relatively recently been refurbished and it's a smart modern and funky space. We didn't no it at the time but this was the last meal out we were going to be able to have for a while. The food is a bit different and while it has some traditional elements, the dishes were presented in a modern and exciting style. The service was a little tiny bit slow but the food was great. This is a nice place for lunch or the beginning of a night out. It's quite well priced. It's nicely situated in the middle of Winchester also.

I am coeliac and I can safely eat here/ or order take away not like Wagamama as they have told me there is a chance for cross contamination. The choices could be bigger for Gluten free but what they offer is delicious. I love asian food and here i feel safe to eat.

We ordered Dim T through deliveroo and were extremely disappointed. The type of order we placed is our usual sized order for 4 and the portion sizes were tiny. Each main would have fed one person just about and our pad thai had no flavour. The pad thai did not include prawns as ordered but just try chicken. The firecracker chicken was not spicy and had 4 strips of chicken. As well as this broccoli had a few heads and was sopping in dressing. We will not be ordering from here again and now have to make a meal after waiting for a takeaway.

We just enjoyed the most mouthwatering takeout meal from our favourite restaurant in Winchester. Absolutely delicious food, perfectly served for takeaway. Helped make a perfect socially distance fathers day lunch! We can not wait to return to the restaurant as soon as we can, but in the meantime we cannot reccomend them highly enough. Do not recommend. This is the first time I visited and the service was terrible. We asked about 50% when we sat down and then when it came to the bill we assumed it was already taken off but once paid we were told they hadn’t and we needed a voucher. The lady was very rude and we felt so uncomfortable.

Good food and well priced (about £10 for a main). It’s half price on monday and Tuesday (even in the evening) which is an amazing deal. I’d maybe give it 4 stars for food, but 5 stars overall for good value compared to wagamama (and better seating, similar food, more light). Get some gluten free soy sauce pls :)

The menu has a broad range of South Asian cuisine from Thai to Indonesian. The restaurant had a nice ambience and staff were friendly. Portion sizes were good and food quality was fairly good.

I last reviewed DimT in 2011 and it was a favourable review. I visited a number of times after that quite happily, but then did not visit for a number of years. Recently I joined a group of friends who chose to meet there. What has happened? OK, the room has had a refurb and some parts looked quite comfortable and socialbe, we however were stuck pinned up to a pillar with barely room to move. Not comfortable.The menu has greatly reduced in choice. If they renew the menu regularly that may be OK but it doesn't look as though they do so not likely to entice us back. None of our group wanted starters, so went straight to mains. The food we had was OK but nothing special. Among the dishes we had was Pork with Ramen Noodles - plenty of soup, very little pork. Katsu Chicken Curry looked most unappetising.The dessert menu was still as limited as it always has been - great if you want overpriced ice cream though.A commet about the Disable Toilet - for anyone in a wheelchair, moving between the tables to get to the access door would be very difficult. The toilet space itself is quite large, but even though the restaurant has had a refurb (possibly more than once since my last visit) this are is sadly lacking. No mirror, no coat hook - basics to be expected in most toilet areas surely. Also, there was a huge pool of water on the floor - I seem to remember this issue years ago too. Would I go again? Possibly not as my preferred venue as there is so much choice in Winchester these days.Would I recommend it to others? Probably not.

We popped into Dim T for dinner following a trip to the nearby cinema. This is a lively, buzzy place, very busy on a Saturday evening with people queuing around the door to get in. Therefore booking is recommended.

Myself and Wife went here for dinner. We had a big lunch so just fancied a lighter dinner so opted for a selection of the Dim Sum. It was lovely. Packed with flavour and good amount of filling. Had a bottle of the Riesling wine that went lovely with the food and the service was very good. Nice relaxed atmosphere and we are glad we went! We will go to another Dim T restaurant when we are back in our hometown of Greater London!

Came with a friend and I have to say I honestly loved everything about my visit. Seating was cosy, clean and pretty. Perfect temperature and decorated in a really tasteful manner.

We came in on the off chance without a reservation and although busy they found a booth near the back for us (away from a noisy group at the front). Staff were extremely friendly and everything was done with a big smile. The food arrived rapidly and was very good and reasonably priced (as was the wine). Would definitely recommend.
