Dilanis Fish Bar in Redbridge

Salad was sooooo fresh …. Onions flavour and tomato flavour too. Bought 2 falafael for £16 and very happy . The young boy and the main man aka chef/owner delivered efficient service at peak lunch time …. Lovely wife aswell , just smiles , she is a good energy to compliment the 2 men.

I visited this place due to a friend and everything was amazing especially the food and service was exceptional I also read some reviews where people have given 1 star and I believe it’s a little harsh since everything I paid for and ate I would pay even more I believe their prices are acceptable for the food they serve to their customers 100% recommend would come again 👍

Overcharge and then don’t mention why you are being charged extra money. My bill came to £25.80 but they charged my £27.80. Why the extra £2? I’m not surprised no one comes into the shop, feels like they really want to scam you. I don’t mind paying extra, but if you say one price and then secretly charge another - what does that say about the business!!! They also only take cash, might be the best way for them to overcharge you

Overcharged don't even know how to add up should invest in a calculator rip off merchant plus pay for cash from there own cash point as don't accept card

Everything is very nice at Dilani's. There is some seating arrangement too, they serve their customers with respect and prepare food, fresh. Very close to underground station and other shops.

Worth every penny! Prices are a bit higher but valid. Food is outstanding! I've been looking for a decent chip shop for about 3 years travelling around, but i found the absolute best one on my door step lol 🤣 👍 👌

I was served by the owner, a very friendly man. I bought large chips. They were perfectly seasoned and I thoroughly enjoyed eating them.

The fish and chips were both excellent. Tender fish with crispy batter and fresh chip shop chips. I would've liked to have some more chips though with the large portion.

This is my local chippy and he always delivers on quality and is reasonably priced.

Had the beef burger meal with chips and it tasted amazing ! Loved how everything was made fresh and was still so hot when it arrived. Literally addicted to the chips 😍 They was very generous with their sauces unlike some places. If you haven’t eaten from there then I would highly recommend that you try it.

I never ever saw place like that u get charged for everything even if u ask for a sauce on top lol 0.75 is a joke and they even scare to give tissue Talking about food no need to try just the smell is enough to throw it in the bin disgusting to the maximum

Been a customer for over 13 years and can only highly recommend them. My favourite is the chicken shish.

The pricing for the item you ask for is different on the menu. If you are not careful you will be over charged for a basic fish and chips. Very disappointed.

Dilanis serve the best fish and chips in the Ilford region, The staff are also very polite and helpful. Ilford has a lot of restaurants/takeaways that do really bad fish and chips. So I encourage you to choose Dilanis. Food was delicious. Everything is nice. I highly recommended this place.

I have been eating at Dilanis for 10 years or more. Excellent fish and chips, chicken, chicken wings are very fresh and tasty. Lovely kebabs. Lamb doner or chicken shish are the best. Large portions, good value, very clean. They are always good and so friendly, best fish and chips in Redbridge and they make the fish fresh! Good Fish & Chip, kebabs. Very nice chilli sauce. If it not good thay take note and make changes. My Dad is a regular so they listen to his views.

Highly recommend if you are looking for a classic fish and chips option. Good friendly service and good portion size. Also cash machine right outside shop, handy as they only take cash.

Had takeaway cod chips. We had literally just come off the train from Heathrow after flying direct from Australia, so this review should probably be filtered through 36hrs of plane and airport food. That said..it was awesome! The whole family still talk about with a glazed look in their eyes except for our youngest, who was too jet lagged to eat and missed out. The place looked a little dodgy and had there been other options we probably would not have eaten there. Don't let it put you off.

Over the last 8 years since I moved to London...I have lost count how many times I’ve ordered from here....this is our family favourite...people working here are super friendly...know exactly what we want every time..food has been perfect each and every time....best fish n chips ....highly highly recommended always

Absolutely amazing! Really clean, big selection of food and also and prices are really good considering the area BUT the main thing, staff are really gentle. Portions are correct, like I always want. I have seen them how they cook and prepare all the products, they are extremely clean and always careful how they prepare and cook their food for customer. 5 stars!

nice food. expensive but is worth it. when ordering curry sauce ask them 1billion times to close the lid of it properly or youll have it all leak everywhere.

This is about Guls Grill newly opened next to dilanis. I went today and ordered a single grilled chicken burger meal. Sounds simple. They said it would take 10 minutes. 15 minutes later they said it was on the grill. I had to wait 45 minutes for one meal. I wouldn't have got it but I had to ask again and again and they took it out of the warm held area! What a joke. I don't know how you can mess this easy order up but they did it! If you want to wait 45 minutes for a single meal then be my guest otherwise try zing for a grilled burger!

Food is better ones out of the other restaurants immediately nearby. Service is decent and food is ok.

I often go in here when in London especially if just off the TUBE and no lunch. Staff so friendly an indeed price is good also they do have a selection of other things. Always fresh and clean

Been here now a few times and I’ll say I’m very happy with the food. Firstly there chicken is top draw chips are good just need to be a bit softer. The kebabs are very good to amazing donner meat really fresh lovely salad as well all round it’s good I’d recommend this place

Lovely chilli sauce. There is no difference with the regular and large size portion of chips, I would recommend you purchase the regular size.

Best fish and chips and chicken shush in the area

May be my local not very consistent with their chips on how it's been fried..most of the time their child are a bit chewy not fluffy or soft as chips should be. If they get this right which I have been going to for 5 years then I would be going there more often. I have to travel into Wanstead to get the best chips I require.. Dilani, just a suggestion, you should keep your potatoes in water and hour just before frying as this would make your chips fluffy and soft. You can be the best but you need some criticism to.make this happen. You can do it.

This place is always busy, no surprise as the food is great. The service is friendly, and quick. Not the best place to sit down and as its seating area is small.

We needed a quick meal after a busy day and this fish bar provided tables where we could eat in. The fish and chips were hot, well cooked and more than we could eat.
